34:57 At this exact moment, the mention of this name, I jolted up in my seat and knew my time had come. I was almost certain he wouldn't make it in this video, due to his sheer obscurity, but it's finally time, time for my encyclopedic knowledge of the DKC cartoon to come into play! You see, in the final episode of the cartoon, there is a letter addressed to Donkey Kong, stating that he's been invited to become the head of the Association of Future Rulers. They use this as en excuse to play a clip show of previous episodes, with the context being that DK is going to have to move away, so they're all reminiscing. *However,* at the end of the episode, it's revealed that the letter was misread- It's not addressed to Donkey Kong, it's addressed to *Monkey* Kong. This is, unsurprisingly, the first and only instance of this character ever being referenced whatsoever, and raises a ton of questions. Apparently, there is another Kong out there, who is ALSO a future ruler of... SOMETHING, and only God knows what. Not only is there a second Kong who is designated as a future ruler of some place, a title of VERY great importance- He's also apparently been elected as *the leader of all future rulers, meaning he outranks Donkey Kong.* The implications of this small, seemingly innocuous detail are wide-reaching and largely incomprehensible upon closer inspection. This is the case with many such moments in the show, which is why I consistently find it a joy to overanalyze.
Truly fascinating, This is why Donkey Kong lore is the greatest game lore of all time and it’s criminally underrated. The series seriously needs more recognition.
Tiny Kong aging is a little weird, but it's not THAT weird, considering Cranky became an old man and DK Jr became an adult and had DK, who himself grew up to be an adult, all within the span of probably just a few years. Kongs just mature really quickly. When you play as Tiny in DK64, she's a kid, but in the future games she's an adult. Dixie was always an adult. Tiny Kong just had pretty different genetics compared to Dixie, I guess. Growing up to have a build more like Candy than staying short like her older sister.
That and even in dk64 she's more upright standing and taller than Diddy already. And given Chunky is similar in being more anthro than ape un build as well, Dixie is the real outlier of the family actually. I think there's even artwork of Kiddy standing more upright and he's already taller than Dixie too. But also the irl reason is cause nintendo wants Tiny to be an inbetween of Dixie and Candy in terms of appeal. The middle ground between cute and eye Candy Kong. Won't lie, it worked on me growing up lol
@@HelloTimr There's no indication that DK Jr is the modern DK. The only real evidence is a line from DK64 where Cranky calls DK his son instead of grandson. But developers have said that was a mistake. And Nintendo has consistently called Cranky his grandpa for the last 20 years. People like to believe it because they think it makes sense. But DK and Jr's designs don't really add up all that much at all, and Jr was already an adult in games like Super Mario Kart and Mario's Tennis (Virtual Boy).
Tiny also aspired to look like Candy Kong, who has said she works out extensively to maintain her figure and over all appearance. I can only assume Tiny opted for the same regimen and had similar results while still appearing younger than Candy.
@@GunMetalMinx That info comes from the German website of DK64 which I don't think is trustworthy. It has lots of weird info that was never stated anywhere else. Like Lanky Kong coming from Utan Island. Feels like whoever made the German website just decided to make up a bunch of lore to make the characters more interesting.

20hz mic, monotone naisely voice, run-on sentences and the occasional syrup-y lip smack........yea, this fits right in with early youtube All we need are occasional clips of YTP videos shotgun-ed at the screen and suddenly it's 2005 again
My theory for why Chunky Kong also tries to get the player to pick him in the barrel in Donkey Kong N64 is literally "Monkey See, Monkey Do." He sees everyone else doing it and goes along with it, not realizing why. Which is why he gasps and is like "UH-UH. Pick TIny." when he gets put in the spotlight - because that's when he realized what he was doing. Because when you scroll off him, he lets out a sigh of relief and it takes a bit of time for him to start doing it again, unlike the rest of the Kongs.
Tiny Kong: is a small child and literally the second youngest character in the franchise only below Kiddy Kong, who is a baby. Some german Nintendo employee who worked on DK 64's website: Yeah, I'll write that Tiny Kong manages DK Island's finances into the official Donkey Kong lore because why the fuck not?
And since those magazines stated that Wario has an actual pact with the devil (his name is Abigor by the way), we can assume its canonicity is unquestionable
Considering Diddy is Donkey Kong's nephew (the games are a bit inconsistent on if Diddy's actually related to DK or just considers himself DK's nephew, tbf), I'll theorize that Uncle Kong is Diddy's father and Donkey Kong's brother. It makes sense, especially since his primary clothes color is red, and he'd be helping out his son by giving tips in the strategy guide!
Monkey Kong is actually mentioned in the DKC cartoon. In the final episode of the series DK reads a letter that he thinks is addressed to him that he’s now the ruler of Kongo Bongo Island but at the end of the episode Cranky realizes DK misread it and it was actually Money Kong Who’s gonna rule Congo Bongo Island instead.
I thought Monkey kong was the rumor that donkey kong was suppose to be called monkey kong, but was called donkey kong because of a language error. Just a rumor tho.
No. Shigeru Miyamoto wanted his name to reflect his personality and thought Donkey fit the bill. The American side freaked out thinking that would confuse people for some reason.
@@lspuria8440 i heard he was supposed to be named Stupid Kong But You cannot call a Character Stupid so Shigeru used a Donkey because he thought it was synonymous of Stupid
Dixie and Tiny’s relationship is interesting because despite starting off, well… Tiny, Miyamoto decided to age her up to be the same weight as Banjo during the making of Diddy Kong Racing DS, Dixie replaced Conker as well. You know how Mario is the older brother and Luigi is the younger brother despite their height differences I feel like it’s best to look at Dixie and Tiny the same way, even if we don’t really see them interact or go on adventures together.
I think Tiny is just straight built different. It's not just the height that's a strange difference between them. Even back when she was Tiny Tiny (DK64) she was notably more humanoid than her sister: standing upright, fully clothed (by human standards) and walking without assistance from her arms to push her along. I think Dixie happened to get the gene that meant she would be monke forever more but Tiny got a gene that makes her more humanoid (like Candy) and makes her mature like a human teen would
Hello, DKC Fanatic here. Really impressed you mentioned so many. even the obscure ones like pinky and uncle. You forgot the following: krosshair - scrapped robot boss from dkc 3 that looks like a kong cyber kong - robot clones of dk from barrel blast. (would understand excluding these two because they are robots) cranky kong's great grandfather - mentioned somewhere in the dkc cartoon show but I forgot the episode. more info on the kong's you didn't know much about: the unnamed black kong was a scrapped character from jungle beat. I think he eventually became dread kong. Monkey kong was mentioned in the final episode of the dkc cartoon. there was a letter that was misaddressed to dk but actually was for monkey kong. Monkey kong is apparently some sort of royalty and invited to a council of future rulers or something.
Thank you! I didn’t know about those Kongs at all actually ❤️ If I make that Every Mario Movie Kong I’ll try to remember to feature those in there to some capacity in some section.
Krosshair is a wack one, since he's not exactly scrapped, we can't see the bastard! That one factory stage with a crosshair where you play as Squitter and gotta dodge an off-screen enemy shooting you, that's supposed to be Krosshair.
The thing is, Tiny Kong didn't really age... She just started training with Candy because she wanted to be a model like her and got that appearence, did you think Diddy was the only one with character development?
In a Mario Movie poster for DK, you can see the crowd of Kongs watching the battle between he and Mario. In the crowd you can see Diddy, Dixie, and even Swanky!! So that might bring hope to the cameo appearances of other forgotten Kongs like Chunky & Lanky
Side note: Ukiki actually first appeared in Yoshi's Island, with a slightly different design that is now currently used as of Super Mario 64 DS. Back then, Ukikis were only known as Grinders, Shortfuses, and Seedy Sallies, depending on what they're doing. In early Yoshi games, Ukikis can be turned into eggs, but in more recent Yoshi games, they can't be swallowed and have to be spat out. Interestingly, Yoshi's Crafted World introduces a rounder, more gorilla-esque Ukiki that comes in two varieties, and are only known by internal data name: there's a pirate variety that wears a bandana, internally named Uckykong, and a white yeti variant internally named Snow Ucky Kong. I presume their names would be better translated as Ukikong or Uki-Kong, and these would obviously be a bridge between the Ukikis and the Kongs There was also a scrapped Ukiki boss for Yoshi's Island that bears more resemblance to Donkey Kong, with a bigger chest and the ability to throw barrels. I believe that there's also data for this boss in Yoshi's Island's prototype version, Super Donkey.
Donkey Kong has such an underrated side cast. Besides Donkey, Diddy, Dixie, Cranky, Funky, and Candy, almost all the Kongs are underutilized. I would love to see the rest of the Kongs return in future games. Also Kiddy is best Kong.
As entertaining as the German localizations can be, I do not know if we can consider them canon since they tend to be so far off from what the rest of the world gets (other examples include Ocarina of Time, Mario Party 5). That being said, Tiny Kong should be in the next game running some sort of financial agency. Better yet, just give us a new DK game!
Considering Funky, Candy, Wrinkly and Cranky and Swanky rub businesses, theres definitely someone teaching economics. Wrinkly's school is pretty effective
My absolutely made up headcanon about Tiny's growth spurt is that since she both has some kind of shapshifting powers and she looks up to Candy, she just forced herself to grow to look more like Candy
I'm pretty sure (based on their character models) that tiny is built more like candy. Walks on two legs, skinny, she was always going to age differently
I think the reason Tiny Kong is taller in later games comes from the fact she can "size-manipulate" herself. In DK64, she can become.... well, "Tiny" by entering a barrel. But what if she could also make herself grow taller to look more like Candy Kong, and found a solution to make it permanent? I think this is the most likely scenario for her differences between older and newer games.
10/10 I went bananas. Incidentally, DK's white Smash recolor being a reference to Eddie might actually be a thing. The cartoon was stupidly popular in Japan, it had action figures and complete playsets. You could own a playset version of Cranky's god damn cabin from the cartoon! As well as the show itself having a trading card game! If I recall correctly, in the GDS 1999 or E3 1999, I forgot which, they had mascot costumes of the characters while promoting Donkey Kong 64. One of these costumes was the man, the myth, the legend, Bluster.
@@CarlitoCFL Good luck. I know there was a .RAR of all the cards released somewhere online, maybe it was DK Vine? It's been roaming about on the internet for like a decade and a half if I recall correctly.
Really enjoyed the video, it's really nice to see a fellow Donkey Kong fan that tried to find out just how many Kongs in total there are! I did notice some Kongs were missing, and a few mistakes too, so here are some corrections: - The "artwork" you've shown to represent the "Kong species" is actually a fan-made modification of an artwork of a Helper Monkey from Jungle Beat. - "Great Aunt Grouchy" was specifically mentionned in the episode "The Curse of Kongo Bongo" from the DKC cartoon. Cranky even calls her in that episode about a curse from that episode, and mentions that he's her favorite nephew. - "Bink" from Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga being a Kong was actually redacted in the Nintendo 3DS remake, where he is instead a regular skeleton crewmate. - Monkey Kong is a Kong that was mentionned once in the final episode of the cartoon, "Message in a Bottle Show", chosen to lead the "Federation of Future Rulers". - Mini Donkey Kong (not to be confused with the Mario VS DK toy) is the alarm clock in the Game & Watch version of Donkey Kong. - The "unnamed Kong with dark fur" is an early version of Dread Kong from Jungle Beat. - The "old Kong that looks important" in the movie is actually Cranky Kong. When the cast was first revealed back in September of 2021, Cranky Kong was said to be voiced by Fred Armisen. So the Donkey Kong that appears in the trailer is actually the modern DK and not Cranky. Oh also fun fact, but Diddy, Dixie & Swanky all appeared on the DK-focused poster for the Mario Movie, and Funky and Kiddy both appeared in the trailer on the Rainbow Road section. - Donkey Kong Jr (II) was created exclusively for Donkey Kong Jr Math, a game for the NES, never appeared outside of that game, and has an actual name in the manual, where they're known specifically as "Junior (II)", and not "Donkey Kong Jr (II)". Just thought that was a funny fun fact. Now as for Kongs you forgot: - The "Chained Kongs" enemies from Super Mario RPG, which look identical in appearance to the Guerillas enemies that you did mention. - Funky Kong's late great uncle Spacey (was mentionned once by Funky Kong in the "Monkey Seer, Monkey Do" episode of the DKC cartoon) - The "Ucky Kong" and "Snow Ucky Kong" species (both only appeared in Yoshi's Crafted World) - Ringo (a cartoonist Kong friend of Donkey Kong who only appeared in the "Donkey Kong Jungle Action Special" magazine) - Donkey Kong Jr's Uncle Julius (appeared in the "Gorilla Ghost" episode of the Saturday Supercade cartoon) - No idea if these would count, but there was also Sonny, Momma, and Poppa (all from the "Hairy Parent" episode of the Saturday Supercade cartoon), and the "Wrestling Gorilla" (from "The Ventriloquist Caper" episode). - The German Club Nintendo comic "Donkey Kong In: Banana Day 24" also includes a Kong news reporter, and I don't know if you'd count these, but also two aliens based on Donkey Kong and Candy Kong. - King Kong himself was also mentionned in the "Legend of the Crystal Coconut" episode of the Donkey Kong Country cartoon, said to be Donkey Kong's idol. - There were also generic-looking Kongs on some Donkey Kong tracks from Mario Kart Arcade GP DX. - If we are to include unused/cut Kongs/Kong lookalikes, then we can include the early designs for the Helper Monkeys from Jungle Beat, and an unused boss enemy from Yoshi's Island (named BOSS SARU in the internal data for the game and in the gigaleak) which looks like a mix of the Ukikis and Donkey Kong. - And if we want to be crazy, we could also include the many robotic Kongs that have existed, like the many Minis from the Mario vs DK games, "Candy Clone" from the DKC cartoon, and the Cyber Kongs from Barrel Blast.
Thank you all for enjoying the video! I appreciate it a lot, it took a long time to make ❤️ I’m currently working on my next video but finals week is making me really busy, expect it sometime next week regardless. Thank you guys so much
You know, if Cranky Kong fought Mario in his prime, get old and become a grandpa without Mario or Pauline aging one bit, I think Tiny having a growth spurt is acceptable. Another sort of theory I have is that perhaps Kongs reach maturity way faster than humans, explaining how DK Jr. was pretty young when he met Mario but now current DK is an adult.
A beautiful video. I really like how the Mario Movie is giving us a lot of unique new Kongs to show them as more of a civilization. But I do hope we see a lot of the actual Kong Family we know in there too. Funky alone would make the movie an 11 outta 10.
*MONKEY KONG* is from the DKC TV Series episode titled "Message in a Bottle Show" Donkey Kong receives a letter to go join some supreme leader council or something and they have a big clipshow party to say goodbye to DK. But then at the end it turns out DK misread the letter, and it was supposed to go to some guy named Monkey Kong.
Great Video. When it comes to the movie it was confirmed that Cranky Kong was gonna be in the Mario Movie and his voice actor was announced with the same announcement that announced Donkey Kong and everyone else actors. Because of this I believe that the Kong on the throne is Cranky Kong. What I am wondering is if Mario will already know Donkey Kong and Cranky Kong or if this will be his first time meeting him as this movie will be a origin story with Mario going from what looks to be Brooklyn to the Mushroom Kingdom. They could say that Mario already fought Cranky Kong and won and that is why Mario is fighting Donkey Kong. There was also a poster that was leaked a day before the second trailer that looks to be Mario and Luigi in Brooklyn and in the background there is a woman who looks to be Pauline in her Odyssey suit so the events of Donkey Kong could have happened before the movie but we don’t know yet. One argument I have heard is that this is an origin story and Mario doesn’t look experienced going through the obstacles and facing Bowser at first but you could say that this new adventure in the Mushroom Kingdom is not like anything Mario has ever experienced before. Anyway I would be disappointed if Mario didn’t already know Cranky Kong because of the Brooklyn to Mushroom Kingdom Origin story but I wouldn’t be too upset. Also the poster that was released that features Donkey Kong looks to have Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong in the background. And in the Mario Kart scene people believe that the racer to the right of Mario is Funky Kong. I am interested to learn more about the movie and the Kong’s roll in the story.
I know there have been debates over the modern DK's identity, but Leigh Loveday (one of the main writers for Rare and the one who originally came up with the backstory) said that Cranky is the arcade DK and the modern DK is Jr. all grown up. Honestly, I like that explanation the best because it factors in real-life gorilla aging while also fitting into the main Mario timeline (i.e. it explains how Mario is able to still be young while Cranky is old and there's another Donkey Kong). Three generations of DK are at odds with Mario but two generations still fit nicely.
When you said, "you've listened to me talk about fictional monkeys for 32 minutes now" it really put things into perspective for me about what I was doing on a late Friday night. So I subscribed.
I think tiny has whatever gene that candy has that makes her have an upright posture rather than the knuckle walking posture that dixie has I’d argue that the apes/monkeys in the Mario universe are at a bit of an evolutionary turning point where there still close enough to genetically that they can still mate with each other and produce healthy offspring but different enough that you can get these huge differences in skeletal construction
When it comes to Tiny Kong’s design change one explanation that I thought of when you were discussing Tiny Kong is that Tiny Kong looks that way she does because like you said in your Tiny Kong section, Tiny Kong looks up to Candy Kong as a role model so her new look was an attempt to be more like Candy Kong. Now how Tiny Kong was able to look like that I don’t know but maybe it has something to do with her powers or abilities but who knows.
Something interesting to note is that in the mario movie cranky is just DKs dad. while people can think "oh miyamoto is switching up the lore" but in 64 he was also his dad, which means either the dk we know and love has always been dk junior and some of the games fucked up the lore or there is 2 different dks at different times as in jr. is playable in some games and dk the third is in others. insane to think about

If you were wondering, Monkey Kong comes from the DKC Cartoon. He's only mentioned by name, as the recipient of a letter DONKEY Kong thought was for him.
I always get confused on how Mario fought a young Cranky Kong while DK Jr was just a small child, but then was a baby at the same time DK the Third was a baby. So either there's some time travel shit going on or arcade Mario is current Mario's father
As soon as this video started I knew it would be perfect. Nothing matters other than how unhinged DK is as a game franchise and this video reflects that 100%. It doesn't matter if this video is in 4K or 8K or 720p. It doesn't matter what the audio quality is or what the script says. What matters is that this video fully encompasses the feeling of what it is like to know every kong. And it is perfect. It should not be altered in any way, for it would become less perfect.

34:58 Monkey Kong is a character mentioned in the "Message in a Bottle Show" episode of the Donkey Kong Country cartoon. The episode starts off with Donkey and Diddy fishing. Donkey Kong reels in something but it ends up being a message in a bottle. The message is from the Federation of Future Rulers and it reads how they believe Monkey Kong should be the future ruler of all rulers. Donkey Kong misreads the letter into believing it was for him, he was upset he had to leave Kongo Bongo Island to go and become a leader, however, at the end of the episode, Donkey Kong realises the letter was not addressed to him. Monkey Kong is never actually seen, though.
Before i watch this whole video, i'd say i know about 10 Kongs by name. Donkey. Diddy. Dixie. Kiddy/Kiddie? Cranky. Wrinkly. Chunky. Lanky. Funky. Swanky. Donkey Jr.? (does he count?) That's like 10, 11, if Jr. counts.

It might surprise you to know that the Donkey Kong Country cartoon is actually very well loved in Japan and is one of the few non Japanese made media spinoffs of Nintendo games to actually get official merchandise in Japan. Like Bluster Kong appeared in a trading card game for Donkey Kong 64 even though he wasn't in that game, and there's a lot of toys.

I mean given the intellect of the people around yeah I'd probably trust an 8 years old or even a 4 years old over Donkey and Diddy and Funky.
I thought Chunky Kong was described as her younger cousin on the wiki despite his size
To be fair, the finances are probably currency in bananas
@@yuvalamor6668 wouldent golden bananas be the equivalent to 24 karat gold
and bananas of normal money
And since those magazines stated that Wario has an actual pact with the devil (his name is Abigor by the way), we can assume its canonicity is unquestionable
Considering Diddy is Donkey Kong's nephew (the games are a bit inconsistent on if Diddy's actually related to DK or just considers himself DK's nephew, tbf), I'll theorize that Uncle Kong is Diddy's father and Donkey Kong's brother. It makes sense, especially since his primary clothes color is red, and he'd be helping out his son by giving tips in the strategy guide!
i was thinking about that too
I thought diddy and dk was brothers
Or maybe Donkey Kong Jr. II is Diddy's father?
@@sunettas9738 Originally, Diddy was going to be designed as DK III's son, but they just made them buds.
Kinda ironic considering that Donkey Kong's the uncle.
Cranky misread it too at the beginning
I thought Monkey kong was the rumor that donkey kong was suppose to be called monkey kong, but was called donkey kong because of a language error. Just a rumor tho.
No. Shigeru Miyamoto wanted his name to reflect his personality and thought Donkey fit the bill. The American side freaked out thinking that would confuse people for some reason.
@@lspuria8440 i heard he was supposed to be named Stupid Kong
But You cannot call a Character Stupid so Shigeru used a Donkey because he thought it was synonymous of Stupid
As a young sister who is taller than one of older sisters, it can happen.
I mean, she was already a full head taller that Diddy and therefore Dixie in DK64, it's not that much of a stretch.
I think Tiny is just straight built different. It's not just the height that's a strange difference between them. Even back when she was Tiny Tiny (DK64) she was notably more humanoid than her sister: standing upright, fully clothed (by human standards) and walking without assistance from her arms to push her along. I think Dixie happened to get the gene that meant she would be monke forever more but Tiny got a gene that makes her more humanoid (like Candy) and makes her mature like a human teen would
Hearing Stickerbrush Symphony while you talk about Cranky beating Diddy with a cane really hit me in the emotions! 😢

15:32 Maybe this is why we haven’t seen Chunky for all these years. Bro literally drowned and no one saved him. What a sad fate for a Kong
Hello, DKC Fanatic here. Really impressed you mentioned so many. even the obscure ones like pinky and uncle.
You forgot the following:
krosshair - scrapped robot boss from dkc 3 that looks like a kong
cyber kong - robot clones of dk from barrel blast. (would understand excluding these two because they are robots)
cranky kong's great grandfather - mentioned somewhere in the dkc cartoon show but I forgot the episode.
more info on the kong's you didn't know much about:
the unnamed black kong was a scrapped character from jungle beat. I think he eventually became dread kong.
Monkey kong was mentioned in the final episode of the dkc cartoon. there was a letter that was misaddressed to dk but actually was for monkey kong. Monkey kong is apparently some sort of royalty and invited to a council of future rulers or something.
Thank you! I didn’t know about those Kongs at all actually ❤️
If I make that Every Mario Movie Kong I’ll try to remember to feature those in there to some capacity in some section.
Krosshair is a wack one, since he's not exactly scrapped, we can't see the bastard! That one factory stage with a crosshair where you play as Squitter and gotta dodge an off-screen enemy shooting you, that's supposed to be Krosshair.
@@kat_lynx oooh, yeah. yep. your right
The Black monkey's name is Dark Kong
Also in Speak no Evil, Dude, the one with the congo bongo gone wrongo disease, there is the Kong Bluebeard baboon
THANK YOU, I've been waiting for a Kong Kollege graduate to give me insight and knowledge about the deep lore of the Kongs
A good addition to Donkey Kong December
I presume their names would be better translated as Ukikong or Uki-Kong, and these would obviously be a bridge between the Ukikis and the Kongs
There was also a scrapped Ukiki boss for Yoshi's Island that bears more resemblance to Donkey Kong, with a bigger chest and the ability to throw barrels. I believe that there's also data for this boss in Yoshi's Island's prototype version, Super Donkey.
he has a niece in mario party advance too, Akiki, they look the same
bro typed a whole fucking email 💀
Donkey Kong has such an underrated side cast. Besides Donkey, Diddy, Dixie, Cranky, Funky, and Candy, almost all the Kongs are underutilized. I would love to see the rest of the Kongs return in future games. Also Kiddy is best Kong.
DK Jr is literally the unloved son. Cranky Kong clearly has a fondness for his grandson. DK Jr was probably disowned or something.
Also, where is DK Jr's baby momma??
I might have to collect those cards from the TCG…
@@CarlitoCFL Good luck. I know there was a .RAR of all the cards released somewhere online, maybe it was DK Vine? It's been roaming about on the internet for like a decade and a half if I recall correctly.

Here from Coney’s video posted today; keep up the good work homie!
I bet that we won't know much about all the Kongs in the Mario movie trailer until DK gets his own movie afterwards.
15:21 Apparently Chunky’s back, *IN THE MOVIE BABY* !!!!😁😁😁
Really enjoyed the video, it's really nice to see a fellow Donkey Kong fan that tried to find out just how many Kongs in total there are! I did notice some Kongs were missing, and a few mistakes too, so here are some corrections:
- The "artwork" you've shown to represent the "Kong species" is actually a fan-made modification of an artwork of a Helper Monkey from Jungle Beat.
Now as for Kongs you forgot:
- The "Chained Kongs" enemies from Super Mario RPG, which look identical in appearance to the Guerillas enemies that you did mention.
- Funky Kong's late great uncle Spacey (was mentionned once by Funky Kong in the "Monkey Seer, Monkey Do" episode of the DKC cartoon)
- The "Ucky Kong" and "Snow Ucky Kong" species (both only appeared in Yoshi's Crafted World)
- Ringo (a cartoonist Kong friend of Donkey Kong who only appeared in the "Donkey Kong Jungle Action Special" magazine)
- Donkey Kong Jr's Uncle Julius (appeared in the "Gorilla Ghost" episode of the Saturday Supercade cartoon)
- No idea if these would count, but there was also Sonny, Momma, and Poppa (all from the "Hairy Parent" episode of the Saturday Supercade cartoon), and the "Wrestling Gorilla" (from "The Ventriloquist Caper" episode).
- And if we want to be crazy, we could also include the many robotic Kongs that have existed, like the many Minis from the Mario vs DK games, "Candy Clone" from the DKC cartoon, and the Cyber Kongs from Barrel Blast.
bro typed a whole fucking email 💀

Coney sent us from stream. Thanks for the banger video
Can't wait to see DK Jr 2 in Mario Kart 9 along sides with Metal Mario, Tanooki Mario, Pink Gold Peach, Cat Peach, and Green Bronze Luigi.
*MONKEY KONG* is from the DKC TV Series episode titled "Message in a Bottle Show"
Donkey Kong receives a letter to go join some supreme leader council or something and they have a big clipshow party to say goodbye to DK.
But then at the end it turns out DK misread the letter, and it was supposed to go to some guy named Monkey Kong.
The fact this video came out 4 days before I went a crazy DK binge is wild
Came from Coney's video. amazing content
This is awesome. Tiny lore is insane.
Also Dixie best Kong.
Watched Coney react to this, and bless your delivery. Auto subbed after that vid can’t wait to see what else you make
Great Video.
This has got to be one of the greatest videos ever
When you said, "you've listened to me talk about fictional monkeys for 32 minutes now" it really put things into perspective for me about what I was doing on a late Friday night.

But swanky just joined the kong afterlife
Dk has been one of my favorite Nintendo characters learning about the lore and the family tree had always intrest me great video! I subbed!
Headcanon: Swanky Kong moved to New Donk City, made it big, and hasn't returned any of the Kong's banana-phone-calls since.
Dude the way this video was narrated and the swearing was AWESOME, love to see more videos like this in the future
Carlito: Here's Uncle Kong.
Also Carlito: DK Jr 2 makes no sense.
Pink is just light red.
Uncle Kong is just DK Jr 2, but grown up.
Tiny Kong is such a genius that she somehow mature her body faster than any to mach her mind with her body, literally the perfect kong.
Came from CONEY, got a sub. You are amazing!
I think tiny has whatever gene that candy has that makes her have an upright posture rather than the knuckle walking posture that dixie has
I’d argue that the apes/monkeys in the Mario universe are at a bit of an evolutionary turning point where there still close enough to genetically that they can still mate with each other and produce healthy offspring but different enough that you can get these huge differences in skeletal construction
With what you said about Chunky's lack of appearances in the DK main games and spinoffs the modern DK rap saying that chunky's dead makes sense.
Lord knows I'd
Wario Ware profile pic???

Came here from Coney. Impressive video, keep it up!
Great Kongtent, Man! Keep It up!
This is a compliment; Best video ever made, A+
