I am sharing some of the things that I did over the years to eliminate "prednisone weight". I exercised even while I was flaring. However, I did it at my own pace.
1. I exercised in bed initially.
2. Took water fitness or water aerobics class.
3. I took chair yoga in the earlry stages then regular yoga when I gained more range of motion.
4. Walking...start slowly and gradually increase your pace.
5. Build a support group/support system to hold you accountable.

Thank you for this. Ive gained so much from lupus treatments and this really gives me hope for losing the weight healthily despite having lupus. Wishing you blessing.
Hi Kristin. Thank you for watching. You're not alone so hang in there. Be gentle with you. It will happen (not overnight but it will). I wish you much success.
I appreciate this video. When I first started a year ago I thought I was crazy raising my arms in the bed. I said Lord I’ve got to do something. It has taken me a year to lose 45 times, slowly but surely. I’m also off prednisone through following the autoimmune protocol.
Thank you Freda! I'm so proud of you. Keep pushing. I look forward to hearing about greater progress in 2019.
Thanks for the encouragement! I've been on HIGH-DOSE Pred for years (asthma) and have gained about 60 lbs. I try to juice veggies which helps a bit. You are beautiful and I pray that you are doing well! God bless! (Tineka---on my daughter's account. lol)
As always, thank you for sharing with us. I didn't know about the grant program for the YMCA and I was always afraid I would be the only younger person doing the aqua aerobics. Definitely going to look into this for myself. 😊💜
+tamvruck You're welcome darling. I was the youngest person in the aqua aerobics class but those women took care of me and loved on me like I was their daughter or grand daughter. It was healing. I was intimidated and ashamed at first. I even cried to be so young and not be able to keep up with the people two and three times my ages. I got over it after a couple classes and I could climb the steps a little freer.
Dyon you are awesome and you always seem to give me a push. You look so good and i am so proud of you. I need to tone and my body hurts so bad but i need to start yoga first. these joints and bones are killing me. i do notice the less i move the worse it gets and also the cold weather. thanks for the motivation and love the water bottle idea. i always disliked my flabby arms. lol
+Melanie Jefferson Thank you Mel! I'm just sharing what worked in hopes that it could help someone else. I still have 30 more pounds to lose so you can push me too.
Excellent video and information
Thank you! I appreciate you watching.
Thanks for the motivation I just decided to start bone broth diet and slower becoming pescatarian.
+SmilesBehindLupus You're welcome! Let me know how it works for you.
Thank you for sharing, I’ve gained 90 lbs on steroids
I know how you feel. Be patient with yourself. Sending you positive energy on your journey. Thank you for watching. 💜
Well I want to gain weight but lupus won't let me. Im a 108lbs. So I'm the odd one out.
Hey Zakiya! Thank you for watching. I'm so sorry that is happening. Have you talked to a nutritionist to see what meals can help you gain weight?
@@beadlyspeaking6612 where I'm from... They are hardly any nutritionist who specialize in lupus. My rheumatologist told me eat anything I like but I also was diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis so I didn't trust his suggestion. I'll just do some more research. Thanks for reaching out.
@@zakiya2925 my story is same as yours..do you find any specific diet for weight gain with lupus.. please let me know
Thank you 🙏 GBU.....
MaritzaBass God bless you. Thank you for watching.
