Thank you for posting this, it gave me a little courage. After all these years, I injected myself for the first time 😅 I was diagnosed with JRA at 15. I'm 30 now. Flare-ups have been aggressive these past 3 years.
I started yesterday for Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, and they made sure I had ALL of my shots and gave me the option of not taking my flu shot. I go to public school and am scared for my life, definitely going to be wearing a mask from here on out.
I've read risks really increase when younger person with Chron's disease or irritable bowel. TB should be on going monitored even if your test showed neg. My husband in 70s with RA, AP, and GI issues but he feels wonderful already.
Thank you for sharing with us this informative video. I start Humira in 2 weeks and it’s for Ulcerative Colitis. I’ve heard that it’s very painful at the start and at my clinic they told me that an nurse ambassador will come to my house and show me how to inject the pen.
I have uc as well, my doc told me about this stuff and to start you off is anywhere between. 25 and 30 thousand dollars. I said fuck that. It's 2019 i can't believe they don't have a cure for this horrible disease. Fuck life!
When I was on Humira it was not done right and I got really really sick from it. I had problems with my eyes and I had problems with my joints......... I also had diarrhea and stomach pain and burning every time I would urinate. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 The medicine actually stayed in my body for 5 years and now I will be blind by age 30 and I was forced to play something called Change The Game. Never play Change The Game......... instead of 1 genetic disease I now have 10 to 12 genetic diseases. It is so messed up because I have a very very long history of disabilities as well. I was born at 24 weeks early on July 27 1994. I had to call the cops because one of the things was burning when urinate and feeling very tired and definitely stomach pain those are all symptoms of Type 1 Diabetes.
I started humira on week5 today and had a flare up day 3. Not sure if it means its not working yet for me or doesnt work at all for me ? I have crohns. Says on-line humira can take 2 to 12 weeks to work. Is it too ealry for me to know if its working or not for me ? Then ive read somewhere else generally takes 2 weeks to work and up to 8 weeks for most ppl. Results do vary. What week did it work for u? What week did u realise no flare ups etc. Wait ur reply. Many thanks
@@AAA-iy9jz You are miss understanding what he said. He is saying he feels fortunate to have lived so long before ill when he became aware this person became ill as young person. I'm 70, perhaps you need to be aged to understand.

Joe Lamont you took two because they have upped the dose of each pen since this video was made in 2016. The loading dose of humira is 160 mg. Each pen used to be 40 mg but now they’re 80mg.

Can't be explained to feel and live life fully when you never have before. My husband's RA, AS, and GI issues ruined his life for almost 60 years. I've been married 45 years to him and my gosh, he is a new person. Told me for first time in adult life he feels comfortable, can lie down in a bed, sit back in to a chair. Just depends what life was. He is so grateful this medication developed.

That's sad that you feel good about something like this.
