Many thanks for following up on my suggestion. I couldn't fault Vanessa's performance (although the cameraman dozed off at some point) on a song she co-wrote from 2008. I have always loved this song, especially with her amazing range at the end.
She did blow the roof off at the end. It is a beautiful song. Unique song structures, no doubt purposeful as @jenniferanderson1499 mentioned. TY for the suggestion
Thanks for giving Vanessa Amorosi more recognition. She is a powerful singer with an impressive vocal range but is under recognised outside of Australia

This is exquisite. Vanessa's control is absolute - not one note, nor pitch, nor pause, is by chance. She embodies this achingly beautiful song. I felt the poignancy of this performance's association with our beloved Olivia. But it also brought to mind my children, small and innocent, looking in on them when they were asleep, not wanting to leave their bedside and break the spell. ❤
Achingly Beautiful is an awesomely appropriate arrangement to describe the emotion this song invokes.
