Grimfel himself was present at that live stream and recommended this song as a reaction for the channel. Thanks for commenting! Your support means a lot, even if I can't quite decipher those symbols!
I love everything about this!!! Grimfel I absolutly admire the willingness to explore sounds and texture to find alternative sonic expression. All while staying true to tradition uf that makes sense. Thankz OGT and OGL for being honest to the past, present and future of musuc without bias ❤
Glad you like it! I figured you would, and I have bias, I try to keep it objective. Afterall when someone spend their time watching a reactor break down a song, it's more than that. To them this is music that they are passionate about and has had an effect on their life or at least resonates with them. So they are sharing something sacred with a reactor who projects this personal connection outward. So that is a lot of trust and I stay mindful of that!!! Thx man
I would say that Danny and I both have bias, but we are aware of it and never allow it to cloud our judgement. Good music is good music. As reactors we try our best to help people appreciate music in general; one song at a time if we must! Grimfel is definitely creating something unique and compelling. Looking forward to hearing more from him. 🤘🤘
Hell yeah!!
Absolutely! Grimfel's 'Zombies' deserves all the attention it can get! Thx for taking the time to share with us here with the OGTeam

Hey Greg 👋 😊❤❤ I am unfamiliar with this song or band but thought I would check it out anyway! Broadening my horizons 😅 Very melancholic sounding. I wonder what the original sounds like now... guessing very different so I would be interested to find out what it is like 👍 I hope you are well Greg. Saw your community post about physical media and I could not agree more. I am always buying and collecting cds, dvds and records and I will never stop doing that as it is my preferred way of listening to music and watching films. Sad to see the stores disappearing. It is happening in Oz too. I miss Sanity, a great store to browse for music, long gone from our local shopping centres 😢 Thinking of buying a back up blue-ray player just in case 👍 Take care and talk to you and Danny again soon 🤗🫡❤❤
Ah, the nostalgic charm of collecting physical media! It’s like having a treasure chest of memories. Just make sure your Blu-ray player doesn’t get jealous of your CD collection! 😄or cassets lol Honestly you ROCK , ty
My PS5 plays blu-rays, but I am also thinking about buying a backup. I have an old school cd player as well. I have so many memories of going to every store and every Mall possible in search of cd's and dvd's. Disc Jockey, Ear X Tacy, Camelot, Root and Roll, Sam Goody. Honestly, as an aggressively introverted guy, I'm not sure I would have ever left the house if it weren't for the quest for movies and especially music. Well, that and work of course. I'm glad you enjoyed the reaction Annie and it warms my heart to hear that you and I share a fondness for physical media. ❤❤

@oglschmitt OH boy, well honestly I am terrible about going to premieres but I'll definitely be in the comments 🙂❤️
@MAL-xv3tr 🤣❤ That sounds awesome, my friend.
Dirt Miller is amazing. I havent heard a song by him that I did not love. And as Pixie had told yall, Ren found Dirt Millers song "Kansas City" and made a community post (as he does often "A rising tide lifts all ships") sharing and giving a shout out to Dirt Miller. Dirt then responded with his thanks and mentioning how he had been feeling very despondant but that Ren sharing his music and having more people listening to it gave him hope again. He wrote D1 while in rehab and he couldnt think of a name for the song so he named it his room number. If youre interested in taking suggestions from the comments I'd recommend "Blinded By Substance" next.
This is **Beautiful** & YES most definitely Please Listen to **Blinded By Substance** <3 **PixieHugz&Luvz**

fentanyl, poor, war isn't murder, and oligarch olympics are my personal favorites of Jesse Welles. He's an amazing artist, i'm so happy to be apart of his generation
Jesse Welles really has a unique way of addressing tough topics, doesn’t he? It’s great to see artists like him making such a strong impact.
I can remember years ago when my brother (now 61)was up helping my mom with her house… Ozzy came on his radio (yes, an actual radio station!) and as he went to change it, my mom said “do you watch the Osborne’s?”… 😅 he said “ yeah mom, I’ve seen it “… 3 generations were united that day… thank you Ozzy… we really didn’t have a “thing” that all of us ever really got before that…. It was you Ozzy… thank you from the biggest part of me and my families heart. 😊❤️… know this… that day, you brought this family together and they were on the same page about one thing… the “Black sabbath”, “Ozzy”, “Osborne’s” connection… yeah, a bit of a disconnect, but it is ours and we will have it always… as the 52 year old youngest in that family I’m gonna remember it forever. Thanks man… truly, for everything..
Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt memory! It’s stories like yours that remind us of the powerful connections music can create.
Such a shame the Divinyls were known for that one particular song, which in my opinion didn't come close to their earlier material. In fact, that's when I stopped following the Divinyls. (still love their earlier material.)
@@MyMusic-cd3do yeah I mean I do understand where you're coming from like Lynyrd Skynyrd being known for Sweet Home Alabama call Hank Williams Junior with his 54 top charting albums being known for that one song Country Boy Can Survive in All My Rowdy Friends so I do understand where you're coming from I loved everything I've heard so far too she has an aura about her that's just really cool and the band's really tight to
@@DannyLeeOGT I would say that the Divinyls were a little ahead of their time. They were very edgy both in their music and in Chrissy's on stage antics (not only with her sexuality, but she played into the 'bad girl of rock' image on stage by doing things like chasing roadies off the stage) Of course, we didn't have UA-cam back then, so what we knew about artists was quite limited. If you see any of Chrissy's interviews (their don't seem to be any early interviews) she seems like a really sweet lady despite having been around the block a few times. They were not really punk, but they had a punk edge about them. They were not really rock n roll, and they were not really pop, although some of their hits were kind of two/three minute pop/punk tunes and they did a few covers adding their own edge to them. Although they did get some radio play they were not really a mainstream band. And from my perspective those types of bands had to work hard in the pubs and clubs to build up a fan base. I feel that it was really only after Nirvana broke onto the scene that bands like the Divinyls were taken more seriously. But for some bands it came a bit too late.
@@MyMusic-cd3do Stevie Nicks or Pat Benatar or Lita Ford none of them were chasing Roadies off the stage LOL Maynard from Tool did hip hop out of the audience one time on stage and never miss a note kept singing through it I really don't know how it's on UA-cam because it happened before you too but there is a one copy of a fan video, it's blurry but you can see it Yeah I'm 45 years old so I seen Steppenwolf fog hat and Blackfoot in the mountains of Cherokees and that was way before cell phones even well with beepers so I guess it wasn't way before cell phones but way before smartphones anyway. And yeah believe it or not tool is very Underground kind of like you were talking about they had that one song Sober and Beavis and Butt-head talked about it on MTV so that was it was hard to be a fan because you know they didn't really put out lyrics and their words didn't run and it was hard to get any interviews cuz it's kind of like Chrissy they didn't like doing interviews. Maybe that's why I have such a connection with them now that you mention it cuz they are kind of an enigma and I'm kind of drawn to bands like that there aren't many. Being a reactor that has opened my eyes for a lot of different music and even open my eyes to what music I thought I knew meant or lyrics I thought I was singing right but I wasn't so even though I do play music and I've been a music connoisseur all my life I have really seen a different side of music through this but I didn't know it was even there. And let people all around the world so realizing cuz Living in America it's kind of confusing there is no such thing really is an American band cuz all the bands are here and all the cultures are here and it's like a big 7-Day soup of people. And the United States of America are anything but United And not even talking about the political things that is going around now but like I live in the south but I'm in North Carolina in every state has different walls and every single law is different meanings in every state has different cultures and accents and so on and so forth and we had a bar room saying that was a lot like the pub scene in Oz I guess they were really cold taverns or pubs. Mainly taverns I had seen that word Pub on bars before when I started learning about Jimmy Barnes and the pub scene in Australia but it's never really used I only can remember a few bars being called pubs or a honky tonk
@@DannyLeeOGT When we talk about the pub rock scene, some bands literally started playing in local pubs, or bars. Set up in a corner of the room while people played eight ball, drank, and chatted, and maybe watched the band. Many of those venues were quite rough and if you weren't good they'd let you know in no uncertain terms. Some of the venues had larger rooms that were more designed with a small stage and could hold a few hundred people. People generally went to these places to see bands play live, alcohol was served and there were more people packed in than was safe. Depending on the place they could still be a bit rough. It was in these types of venues that Aussie rock bands in the 70s and 80s cut their teeth. They had to be good and engaging or they wouldn't last. This is what is known as the pub rock scene. So, yes, probably like taverns, but I'm not sure if the vibe would be the same. Being pretty much isolated from the rest of the world, Aussie bands tended have a uniqueness to their sounds. They had very strong frontmen, Peter Garret, Jimmy Barnes, Bon Scott, Doc Neeson, to name a few. This was the scene that Chrissy found herself in, and being one of the rarer female lead singers had to be able to hold her own, especially when she flaunted her sexuality. She was quite shy by nature, so she put up a very strong image that she hid behind. Along with whatever antics she got up to would be talked about was an avenue of publicity for the band. If you haven't checked out Cold Chisel (Bow River ua-cam.com/video/8XROTDWVgGs/v-deo.html) Midnight Oil (Stand In Line ua-cam.com/video/4c3X0OlVjuE/v-deo.html Only the Strong ua-cam.com/video/dDXnUSDwSng/v-deo.html) The Angels (I Ain't the One ua-cam.com/video/Xx4gge1YY6I/v-deo.html) For a few examples
Dang I just realized you may not realize how many Aussie reactions we have done. And the number is just that at close to 200. The number is nothing compared to all the friends and learning the aussie/kiwi culture through 2 Anzac days and why everyone is up before the sun is up, 3 Paul Kelly gravy days, understanding how much The Seekers and expecially Judith meant to everyone (including children she would visit in schools) who ever met or seen her live. From the Footy record breaking crowds and how Australia Day is accepted but not love by everyone. All that John went through before Glenn bet the house on him saving his life by outting up his house. Losing Olivia and Judith. Vanessas struggles she faced for leaving home. All Max Merrit and Jon Stevens have done for the kiwi pride. And Jimmy is my favorite, I have a CD and shirt sent to me from Oz along with tim tams , vegemite and coffee cult culture lol So yeah we have almost 200 Oz/NZ reactions but most of all we are HONORARY AUSSIES

Instant fan. This is the first time I've ever heard of Jesse and now I've been listening to his songs for 30 minutes straight thinking of old road trips and nights under the stars
Thank you for sharing your experience! It's awesome to know that Jesse's music can evoke such beautiful memories for you. Enjoy the tunes!
Ok, war may not be justified, but killing in war is not murder. There’s other killing that isn’t murder as well. Killing in self defense protecting your property isn’t murder either. Accidentally killing isn’t murder either, sometimes it’s manslaughter. There’s all kinds of killing that isn’t murder.
True, but I guarantee that murders do take place during a war, just like war crimes do.

I completely agree! Jesse Welles has a unique way of expressing deep thoughts through his lyrics that really resonates with listeners.
Standing ovation! Well deserved!!
AGREED
He is an artist. He did a bunch of grunge before. He reminds me a lot of a modern Kurt Cobain in his art style. His music is unique. So is his lyrics. btw. His lyrics are supposed to be wrong in this one. He is singing in and out from the point of the rich and the generals who thinks war isn't murder. And his own statements. Sarcasm in satire guess. It's raw because the art style here is protest songs. Supposed to be raw because it's authentic, like the topic of the songs.
Thank you for sharing such insightful thoughts! It's always great to hear how others interpret and appreciate Jesse's work. Your perspective adds so much depth to the conversation!

I'm guessing he's in his mid 30s. I think when he went to Nashville and formed a rock band he was early to late 20s and that's been 12 years or longer.@@Roberto-de8xv
This is one of my favorite clips. Dude in the shorts was a great participant. TEIAN is my favorite young person to view these days.

When i heard that he was releasing an audio book in his own words. I preordered it. Couldnt wait to hear him. I started listening the second it arrived. So good.❤ Good for you Danny for pushing through your own issues and making this successful channel
