Much of his recorded output has been instrumental, with a focus on innovative sound, and his releases have spanned genres ranging from blues rock, hard rock, jazz fusion, and a blend of guitar-rock and electronica. Jeff Beck is considered among the greatest guitar players in history and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice: as a member of the Yardbirds and as a solo artist.
Excellent! Great review, thanks 4 watching!
I would to steal (or maybe just borrow ur bass player Tal W.)
Yes his music isn't for everyone
Mind you what music is
In saying that Jeff Beck was innovative to say the least
And still is
A rare talent
Right on, great player, too bad he doesn't have any good songs so only musicians will listen, I guess that is the whole jazz fusion genre for the most part. :-(
@@christopher2327 to bad he doesn't have any good songs? You might as well just say I have not a clue about anything
RIP Jeff - you will be remembered as one of the greatest guitarists ever!
THE!
@@s13hgp Jeff changed the way a guitar is imagined. And everyone thought Jimmie had an influence? Beck was leaving popular bands because they were not innovative enough, building hotrods seemed like a better use of his time. : ]
Meanwhile Jeff was better every time you heard him.
God rest his wonderful soul,
The GOAT and its not even close
No one has come close to his expression yet ….by a long way
So, I'm not having a horrible dream?. Horrible nightmare for the past week? 😳😱 JB really is gone?! 😭 😢
Just sadness , my childhood is slipping away , Jeff Beck was one of my all time favorites just loved him so much , I'm sure he's up there with Jimi and looking down and laughing at us , Thanks Jeff for your great music you we're
one of the best guitarist that ever played the guitar !
Can you imagine what Jeff and Jimi are playing up there?!
Watching Tal in this set, not only is she technically talented far beyond her years, but she has stage presence that is beyond touch! Watching her and Jeff bounce stuff off of each other is something that goes so far beyond just the sound, these two are so closely matched that they seem to feed off the other's playing. This set is such an absolute joy to watch!!!
Oh, and she's cute as a bug!
In her facial expressions and body-language, we read, as well, what's going through her bloodstream and spirit.
Beck taught her how to play! She is amazing 🤩!
, nice fantasy, but this young lady busted her butt practicing for years -first as a guitarist and then moving over to the electric bass. She already had endorsements form a manufacturer BEFORE Vinnie hooked her up with Jeff. He may have helped her some (EVERY musician picks up improvements from those they work with), but she had her act together well before this!
@@patlatorres7000 I really wouldn't say that to her face. One great bass player.
The best line up? Love that pulsin', rumblin' bass, wizzard keyboard and crazy percussion.
Jeff, always in our hearts and ears.
The keyboard player is WAY underrated! Having watched this entire set several times, he is just a classy journeyman player, nothing obviously flashy, he's just there doing what needs being done! Watching his interplay with both Jeff and Tal is a true joy. This entire band is just too good to believe!
I think so.

Jeff was one of few that just kept getting better as he went along. I remember what a force he was in the 70’s. The 80’s comes along and he’s better. And so forth, just more amazing as he went. I am just gut wrenched over his passing. Gods blessings and love to his wife and family. I’ll never forget you Jeff, along with countless others. R.I.P. Jeff 🙏🎸
Awesome group!! The 2gethrness is amazing!!
Yeah...Beck was one the greatest!
Queen of the Bass and the King of the Strat what a combination! 🎼🎸🇨🇦
Hallo to canada
And the Wizard of Odds on drums. Let's recognize Vinnie here as he's at that same level of virtuosity.
Don't forget Vinnie. He and Tal were great together. Vinnie's a master.
I miss the great Jeff Beck so much. Much thanks for all.that he shared over the many decades. A true artist always moving forward, and always taking is with him
R.I.P Jeff Beck. Thanks for so many years of incredible music.. I still get pure goosbumps hearing this again and again.
I have been a fan of Jeff Beck since the 60 s he was by far the best and most creative musician of all time RIP MR. JEFF BECK
His approach to the guitar is so original and unique he cannot be copied. You always know when you're hearing Jeff Beck.
Truth
Creative (state..) through and beyond distraction.. beyond burden he does.

I love the way Tal stalks the stage. She's the real deal.
she so is. amazing player
She's one of the best bass players I've seen n heard and what a doll
Indeed! She is very pretty too…
Goddess I Dare to say
That right there is one of the best rhythm sections I've EVER HEARD!!!!!!! Freeway Jam never sounded so good! RIP maestro Beck.
Rest in paradise Maestro Jeff Beck
R.I.P. Jeff. The best guitarist EVER.🎸🎸🎸⚘⚘⚘🕊🕊🕊
Vinnie Colaiuta is the best drummer alive today imho. And Tal Wilkenfeld on bass is incredible. Jeff always plays with like musicians of above and way beyond excellent , like himself.
Your right on it man they blew DOORS that show the drummer is one of the best YOU MADE MY DAY TAL W. IS WHY I WENT BACK TO GUITAR SHES ALSO INCREDIBLE SUCH A. BEYOND WORDS BASSIST UNDERRATED SHE TRULY IS ONE OF THE BEST I'VE SEEN PLAY JUST LIKE THE OTHER TWO I WISH I WOULD OF GONE TO THAT CROSSROADS IAM NOT BUT A HALF-HOUR AWAY FROM THE FEILD THAT WAS THE SETTING FOR A SWEET DAY OF WHAT I LOVE I HAD TO PLAY THAT DAY I JUST DON'T HAVE A HEART TO LET A BUNCH OF OLDER PEOPLE DOWN I DONT LIKE TO LET ANYONE DOWN WHO LIKES OUR MUSIC ✌ PEACE TO ALL YOU MUSIC LOVERS OUT THERE !!!
I agree about Vinnie . He's Awesome.
@@stephengiffith1010 it was beautiful to see Tal's talent with Jeff on the scene... one of my inspirations when I was starting bass and to play guitar later on
Fact!!
Jason Rebello is GREAT 👍
Was at that Crossroads and remember when Beck came out with what looked like a schoolgirl on bass. During the set, Beck pushed her to an other-worldly place, and you could just see her grow on the stage as she matched him lick for lick. Beck loved it and the crowd went crazy. Best Crossroads Festival and best concert ever.
I can’t believe it’s a month since we lost this fine human being, his huge unparalleled talent & boundless creativity. This performance, along with so many others, is a global treasure. Thanks for posting it. Rest In Eternal Music Mr. Jeff Beck.
RIP. Legend. LOVE how he and Tal play together !
I consider myself blessed to have lived in his age of music. Such an incredible master of the strings. I'm forever grateful for your talent. Somewhere in heaven there's Stage and you're rocking it.
🎼🎶
Tal is a joy to watch & listen to , this young Australian girl can wonder onto any stage with the very best & adds to it & dose it easy with a beautiful smile on her face ,amazing young lady.
Your preachin to the choir re: that one! Tal is beyond her years for the talent she displays. When I first saw her & Jeff, I thought to myself " where'd Jeff find this 13 y.o.?" Just an AMAZING young woman to behold!!! Chops GALORE!!!
Just KIDDING, people!!! I'm well aware of Tal's age. Have heard all of her recordings, & am BLOWN AWAY!!! Can't wait for what's next. Live, or otherwise. You go GRRRRRL!!! & Jeff, when are you coming to Mpls, MN?? (or Duluth) I'd travel what ever distance to check ur Concert! PEACE!! Coz....
You guys do know Tal is Irish, right ?
She does have a great smile, but when she's ripping thru a solo and really diggin in she makes that beast face that shows she's a musical monster.

Best guitarist on the planet....best bassist period. Whole band is insane !
The music and musicianship is obviously exemplary, but the chemistry and joy Jeff, Tal and Vinnie share makes my little old heart go pit-a-pat!
Hey, don't forget Jason!
I was a farm boy at 16. Blow by Blow was left in the tractor's 8-track player that I was driving. Hooked ever since. God Speed to that jam session in the sky Jeff. 😎
I'm still trying to picture an 8 track player in a tractor.
Gotta be the coolest farmer in the area.
Oh man, what a cool band✌️...so sad about Jeff, yet we still have his music🙏...may he RIP
Tal is so fortunate to have had jammed, worked alongside Jeff Beck for several years.
Thank you, Mr. Jeff Beck.
RIP.
Well and vice versa
So great admiration in Tal’s eyes for the sun glassed Legend ❣️😢
Another Guitar Genius Gone. R.I.P. Jeff - Thank you for your music
This was the best fusion setup ever. So much love in the air. They read each other like magic. My all-time fav.
I have heard these songs thousand times but still I hold my breath waiting for the next note. That's Mr. Jeff Beck, the one and the only.
Agreed,100%
Yes this is great, thanks for the download
Tal adds so much to what Jeff's doing its almost amazing. Can you imagine, generations apart, and still that much cohesion. THIS IS TRUE ART!
I discovered jeff with these records with tal, so these versions always seemed more complete. it took a good 10 years for me to get into the more bluesy side not even into yard birds yet...
I cant imagine what it is to have played with Jeff AND Eric Clapton on stage with Vinnie and all the rest at such a young age
And they're all loving it. No fake emotions, just pure heightened joy mixed with mega talent.
Love this line up!! RiP Mr. Beck
and those titties!!
Jeff Beck never sits back on his laurels, he just keeps experimenting with sound and style, there is no genre he won't tackle. Beck is truly a one off and has reached a level that few, if any, will ever be able to mimic.
So lucky to have seen Jeff Beck. Twice in Detroit. Once in K.C. You're a true legend. RIP and rock on!!!
The first time I heard this, it added to the legend. He looked ageless, and his music is timeless. RIP. Jeff Beck!!!
Admired his work from the Yardbirds, JBG, saw the Blow by Blow and Wired tours in the 70's a really unique and fabulous guitarist. He will be much missed. RIP Jeff
Jeff Beck is one of the most creative guitar men ever, he can let his guitar sing like no other... 👍👍👍😍
RIP Maestro. You were one of the very best. Now you’re playing for the angels.
All Three Musicians so so talented, And Jeff’s unique playing will be greatly missed🙏🏻 I could listen to These 4 all day long
This was Jeff, one of the best innovativ guitar player.
I'm so glad that Jeff Beck found a bass player that is not only great but makes him smile all of the time. He is always at his best with this lineup. For many years he was never happy on stage. Great to see him have fun!
She brought out the best in him. I’ve seen him since and it’s not the same.
I didnt get to see them together but I've been so very lucky to have seen him front row twice and believe that he is having fun up there. All ya gotta do is show him you dig him and it flips a switch. An old rocker told me that if the audience isnt as spent as the musicians then we didnt do our job. Good to hear bcuz I don't get folks who can just sit there!, not even tap a foot! What is that? He chooses the best for his groups and Tal is one world class Bassist. I do love seeing them in old vids play.
Agreed. One of my favorite trios for that very reason. The joy they have playing together you can cut with a knife. (Well, 4 piece, I guess... )
Tal could have been his daughter, in terms of age, they make a great team. The Ronnie Scott dvd (a year or twp before this show) also shows this mutual chemistry and appreciation, in spates.
@@gilafunk Oh c'mon man.....a little well deserved respect for the keys, eh? Aside fr the solid work, he would not be in that chair w/o Beck's full support.
If you'll permit me a similar tone I would ...."guess you're a guitar player, hmm?".
Holy -Smokes! RIP Thanks for shining that bass girl !
The world lost an iconic guitar player, a truly adorable man. Despite the enormous talent he had, he always remained a humble and pleasant man. What a immense loss... 😪
Wow. This even more amazing to think that JB is in his early SIXTIES here!! The guy is not only ageless but just seemed to get better with every year!!
Jeff is absaloutly with out a doubt the most creative guitar player and Tal that girl is really AMAZZING
1) Jeff’s tuning is so negotiable, it’s great.
2) Tal personifies jazzer coolness, just has it.
JEFF BECK has left this life but His music will live forever. 🎸
Of course Jeff is always played with some of the greatest musicians on the planet but I have to admit this is one of my favorite lineups there's some magic going on. Hard to believe this man has been playing for almost 6 decades keeps getting better and better.
No wonder why Jeff likes music with Tal. She is solid with time allowing him and Vinnie to stretch out!
R.I.P. Jeff.....master, genius...guitar GOD
Eterno Jeff, gracias por tanta Música ! ✊🎵
Si señor < Nos dejó un grande > RIP
I'm just days away from turning 66 and now one of greatest regrets is never being blessed to watch this master play live. I will never forget some crazy arguments with some of my Michigan friends years ago who would proclaim that Nugent was faster.
RIP Jeff.
Jeff Beck despised speedy guitar players - it's all about tone & feel not how quickly you can bang it out.
I think this is one of the best set up Mr Jeff Beck has have in is long carreer. Perhaps, beside Winni Collaiuta, the other are not the super big musician in the world, but the sound and the ensemble I here in all his performaces with this act is one of the best I ever heard from him. They funcion as a real "BAND" not as a single great musician. Thanks Mr Jef Beck We All miss You a lot.
That is one talented fearless young lady on that long neck bass matching quite complicated runs lick for lick with Beck.......I cannot fathom how she can keep it up so long and flawlessly. She will be a force to behold in the coming years.
Sadowsky Bass
Tal is already a legend
See the "two handed-one neck bass duet" between her and Jeff at Irving Plaza where she had the balls to flick his fingers out of the way so she could "properly" play her part of what obviously was a totally spontaneous, unrehearsed move on both of their parts. For fuck's sake, who DOES that?
Whilst the old guitar gods slide into retirement Jeff only gets better and better. Enjoy while we can..
Amazing concert. The cover of Billy Cobham’s Spectrum is sick. The second I heard Tal start that unmistakeable bass riff, I knew. This takes me way back.
Great version of that classic!!
Tal badass face expresion on Big Block! Priceless!💪💪💪
14 years later, I’m thinking that this is the single best rock performance of all time.
Tal BLEW MINDS what a bunch of outright amazing gifted musicians JEFF CAN PLAY HIS SIGNATURE STYLE N SOUND THEN GOES INTO ROCKABILLY N SLEEP WALK YOUR ATTENTION IS BEYOND ANYONE ELSE YOU SAID WAS A GREAT GUITAR ICONIC PLAYER ✌
I’m in the middle of a horrible nightmare that Jeff is gone. As hard as I try I can’t wake up. I keep hearing this hard driving multithreaded chaos of the highest order that only Jeff, Tal, and Vinny can create. Please wake me up and tell me there is more and more to come. Please so I can go to my grave in peace😢
In the beginning of the "British Invasion" there were 3. Beck, Page and Clapton. Beck has always been in a league of his own.
Ritchie Blackmore was even more potent.
Hell of a great keyboard player this band is the best in da world..
If you can make the guitar sound alive, that's a rare thing. Jeff did it.
RIP Jeff indeed. One of the few and what a unique sound.
😎👍✝️Rest easy Jeff, we definitely will miss you. Thank you for sharing your talents with this world! Have fun jammimg with Jimi, Moonie, Bonzo, Jaco, Cozy, Peart, etc...
R.I.P. JEFF MY FRIST Concert. YOU AND AEROSMITH IN CHICAGO. GREAT CONCERT. WE'LL MISS YOU.
RIP to one of if not he mpst uncopiable, unique and mindblowing players that have and will ever exist. I'm watching and listening in awe. I had to get my jaw off the floor after that solo in 26:05.
Always loved this set at Crossroads (and the one at Ronnie Scott's with the same lineup. Tal looks as though she's having a blast. What a gig at her age then to be playing with Jeff and Vinnie.
Nothing more to say ! When Tal and Jeff are on fire its more than music !
My two favorite shows also!! At my advanced age ( maybe I’m losing my bass hearing) this has way too much piano/ organ/ synthesizer and NOT ENOUGH TAL!!!
Imelda May fits them too!
Thank you Jeff and Tal and All!❤️ Awesomeness!
Rock in Paradise- Glad I went and seen him in Kingston 3 months ago>>>i said to my friend " We better go...it might be our last chance 78 yrs old....still blew the roof off
Stratus! Jeff Beck doing a tribute to Billy Cobham/Tommy Bolin. Love this version. RIP Jeff and Tommy.
When my son called me to tell me of Jeff's death, I cried ..... a couple of weeks later, my wife asked me if I was in mourning, I said No, but shortly realized I was ...... now I can't watch any of Jeff's video's without a tear ....... It may always be like that for me, I've seen Jeff many times and saw him on almost every tour since 1991, I bought my son a 1991 Fender JB Signature series guitar in the rare 'midnight purplr" color; my only regret is I never tried to get jeff to autograph the pick guard for me, RIP Maestro....... you were without peer !!!!
Bill Murray intro is great.Tal,s bass is friggin incredible.R.I.P.Mr Beck.
This is enough to blow those tiny minds! Thanks, Jeff RIP.
Pure JOY on Tal's face. No wonder. Playing with THE guitar master.
Tal is a young guitarist with the musical soul of someone way beyond her years
Amazing. And, playing alongside Jeff Beck? Wow.

Some of his stuff isn`t that easy to get into, but his skill with the guitar is undisputable, especially when you look at the session work he has done over the years.
he is one of the very few guitar players that you can tell who it is after just a few notes.
So sad he is gone, ok he was 78 but was as fit as a fiddle until he took bacterial meningitis - another music legend gone RIP Jeff Beck.
Bill Murray did an EXCELLENT job with this!

Pure joy! God, what we had. Never lost.
Great artists only surround themselves with other great artists. Jeff is gone but he left us with a lifetime of great music
Jeff Beck, that rare, supreme breed...one of one.
I think in the later years, this was Jeff's best band. The chemistry is beyond amazing. 3 accomplished musicians in their own right surrounding the genius. Jeff & Tal always seem to be having a blast playing off each other. What a Universal loss. R.I.P. Jeff.
I agree, this was the quintessential JB supergroup, Vinnie Tal Jason and JB. I was gutted for days when he died; it just was unbelievable, the guy *always* seemed in the prime of life...dayum.
Just bloody wow… !?!
Fierce & strong & lovely Tal
Such a fabulous band at their best.
I love it that this gets negative comments! As Joe Perry once said “there’s a certain fuck you with Jeff Beck”
It's on interview with Eric Clapton where he said Jeff Beck is without a doubt one of the top 3 most innovative guitarist on the planet. And I'll tell you what the bass player just kicks ass. I Recommend listening to her solo album which is just outstanding
Which Tal album?
There are 2.. but for my money, the second one, "Love Remains", is superbest.
The longer I live and the more I listen I think, pound for pound Mr. Beck is the best. Anyway we should thank the guitar gods for Jeff Beck. Thanks for sharing. Oh yeah, he does hot rods too.
Jeff Beck would be more famous if he stuck to touring back in the day
But I like him just the same
Agreed!!!
there is no other guitarist i can stand to ear do a solo like for ever... like Jeff Beck. the
