He's wears tinfoil on his arm to prevent aliens from knowing his guitar playing secrets.
Weird idea but sounds reasonable.
I think it’s silver…
Little known fact
Conspiracytheory at it's best... maybe the tinfoil - given by Aliens - is the secret to his guitar playing
Well ..another theory is that he IS and alien hence his out of this world creativity and sonic alchemy never before witnessed in the history of this planet...
The world has gone dimmer without Jeff Beck.
So very true
Jeff Beck, a guitarist committed to challenging the limits of guitar. RIP you absolute legend 🙏

Nessun Dorma 💗 The only other performer in the world who makes me cry when he sings is Pavarotti. Jeff Beck is Pavarotti on the guitar. Yes, I am crying.
Me too!
Me three
Make it four. What emotion !

Absolutely devastated to hear of his passing. A staggering loss. RIP Jeff may you soar eternally.
Hear Hear! This man could make a guitar talk..... He did everything on Stevie Wonders "Superstion" Guitar, Drums and some lyrics "Genious!" Greetings from Yorkshire UK.John.

Never really thought of JB much until this performance. AMAZING. 🤩
@daveyt4802, If you like his take on operatic pieces, search Jeff Beck and Zucchero.
I'm a 71 year old player, Jeff Beck is a living legend. Simply one of the most unique guitarists that's ever lived. Nobody arranges and plays like this man. Long live the Beck
Spot on man. He is other worldly. He is living proof, if any were needed, that where true talent and ability exist, age is of no relevance or concern. Saw a comment the other day saying who would want to go to see him, he's past it. Yeh sure he is. The only thing he is past is most of what else is going on. He went past it years and has never stopped. Keep on delighting us Jeff and we'll keep on being delighted.
I agree, I'm a 70 year old player.......................
i do
hes boring
michaeltw1000 Mikey- ya well, i know who he is, and you are ?
Years ago. My wife and I saw Jeff in a small theater in Kingston,NY. As usual it was a superb show. When he started Nessun Dorma, My lovely wife turned to me and said " I want this played at my funeral" As life would have it, Meme lost her battle with cancer a couple years later
Although there were many Jeff Beck songs in our 48 years together, this song will always tear my heart and fill my soul
To Vince T. I worked at IBM in Kingston, that's when I saw him. Small world.
Sorry for your loss Vince. What song "Diamond Dust" or "Since we've ended as lovers"?
Oh man!
❤️
Oh Man!!! I so sorry for your loss.Women and girls who can truly appreciative what this man does with a guitar are a RARE, RARE Breed. You were so lucky to have been with one. We can ALL envy you..... BEST of Luck Vince, stay strong and ENJOY as your lovely wife would Wish!
Such a humble gracious man...ever notice how everyone who plays along with him is just so fucking happy to be there!
I'm 72 yo and cry when he plays. Incredible musician.
I still can't believe we lost Jeff Beck. It breaks my heart. I have no words.
Even "Nessun dorma"!!! Oh, god!! Jeff Beck was a class act.
Beck and Hendrix two of the greatest guitarists in musical history.
R.I.P. to this great god of guitar. The best guitarist ever. You will be dearly missed Jeff.
The world has lost a marvelous guitar player!!!! 😢

How lucky are we that this man is still around blowing our minds. Jeff Beck, a living legend.
At our beck and call one might suggest.
You are so right!!!!I've been listening to Jeff from the time I was old enough to put a needle on my toy store record player and getting yelled at by my mom for scratching her Yardbirds record until the present day.I was lucky to have seen him live at the Tower in Philly 3x over the years.GOD BLESS JEFF BECK!!!!

@@stevenholton438 This particular concert performance was done in 2010. Beck's probably having a hard time getting out of bed these days.

As of October 2022, Jeff Beck is 78 years old & still absolutely fu*king sensational!!!!!! LEGEND
Jan 10, 2023 RIP
Every time I saw Jeff he was better than before. He continued to search and push boundaries till the end and most unfortunately for all of us who appreciate the artistry and majesty of his playing his earthly search has ended and he finds new boundaries to push in the heavens. RIP Maestro Jeff Beck.
Jeff Beck’s performance of Nessun Dorma is just spectacular, still trying to process that he’s gone. RIP maestro you will continue to inspire us all thank you for you gift of music to us 💜💜💜💜🙏🏻
Fifty five years of seeing Beck and I never tire of his playing or the great bands he chooses.
We, esp. us older folks, have been honored to have lived in the time of GIANTS of the arts, esp. music. Thank you, Jeff Beck, for your art, talent, and relentless GREATNESS & ARTISTIC PERSPECTIVE for the ages ......
Been watching this for years - I used to nearly cry during Nessun Dorma before JB passed - now its impossible not to .. ~~ RIP JB ~~
Jeff Beck make his guitar sing. And his back up band is phenomenal.
In addition to being the guitarists' guitarist, he has a keen eye for _superb_ rhythm sections, keyboard players, violinists & cellists, vocalists, and every other musical collaborator I've ever seen him play with. That said, the band he fronted at Ronnie Scott's in 2007 was IMO the best ever.
I'm watching this in tears. RIP Jeff. Thank you for your beautiful music.
No one can replace this man and his talent, RIP Jeff Beck
Rest in Peace, Jeff Beck! Bring your sound to heaven!
Makes me cry, this must be what heaven sounds like.
Jeff will be waiting for us to hear him jam with the Greats, RIP...
I cried my eyes out toward the end of the set he did at Ronnie Scott's with Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton in attendance. He was doing an an unaccompanied solo at the time.....
Big compliments to Rhonda Smith on upright bass and bass guitar - she's doing a fantastic job!
Rhonda always kicks ass...
i was wondering. stay healthy and happy
I love her expression when he hits that harmonic @ 3:50.
Rocking a Squire CV70's Jazz Bass, good enough to hang with Jeff Beck!
how old is she? wiki don't know... I assume she was at least 18 with Prince in 96?
OMG. Thank you for your life and your music Jeff. RIP.
You know what's sad? If/when Jeff actually leaves this world, the skill set dies. With every other guitar player there are a thousand kids on youtube who can make sure it keeps going. But Jeff has about 25 moves there is no human being alive who can do.
True!!
Not so sure... Check out Steve Kimock! Another master, and Prof gearhead w original signature Two Rock amp! But yeah, Nessum Dorma? Def cut above! 💖
@Keith Rowe: You know who agrees with you? Among many who've said similar things, Clapton & Page... Yes.
His skill with the slide on the song “Angel” (footsteps) is sick. Still blows me away. 🤘😎
The reason Beck is good is His style not his ability...
He is master of the moment of the mood
1000 thousand years from now, humans will ask themselves, how on earth did he do all of those amazing things? When Jeff played, all the angels in Heaven stopped to listen. He is with them now as it should be. Rest in peace Jeff
With Hendrix the greatest of the very great.
God, what a guitarist and what an absolute delight to see him with other musicians in the band. He let them shine. But he was the STAR! Amazing
performance here.
RIP Jeff Beck - legendary guitarist :(
Einfach nur zuhören und Weinen! Jeff Beck!RIP Jeff ❤️❤️🎸🎸😥😥
RIP man. What a legacy you have provided us with.
My first concert. I was 15 and never heard of Jeff beck. My sister said I should go see Jeff Beck. She brought home an album the next day. Friday the tickets went on sell. My mom worked at goldsmiths in the mall. Ticket master was right there. 3rd row seats. I was addicted to concerts. I was getting great seats too. Jethro Tull, KISS, Joe Walsh, Emerson Lake and Palmer. Thise were my first 5. I was wig-n-out. I believe the album was lead boots. JEFF FREAKING BECK.
Great sister!! Great concerts! My older brother turned me on to a lot of music. These I found myself Who. Tull. Zappa.ELP. Cream .Yes . Pink Floyd etc
Love music love UA-cam 😊
Wired was probably the album.
JEFF BECK!!! Rest In Peace!!! JB will always be an inspiration to play guitar and music your way!!!
What a great performance, of course one wouldn't expect less!!
What a master Jeff Beck is and always will be THE Jeff BECK
Jeff Beck doesnt just play a guitar..he makes it sing...
Jeff Beck is in a league of his own 🎸 🎶🎵
Nobody else can make a strat sing 🎶 like Jeff Beck can.
Absolutely right !
Absolutely dead on... nobody ever like JB...yes some can make it cry...but not like JB.
Yea amazing is an understatement
Yep 👍 so what ?
Nessun dorma... Pavarotti !
Jeff is so good ! 👍🎸
Nessun Dorma it's so beautifully arranged and played by Jeff if you're not moved by this your soul is dead. Jeff continues raise the bar he does things no other guitarist can even come close to. On his own Accord he can mimic almost any instrument in the most precious instrument of all the human voice. I have heard Jeff mimic opera singers where you could not distinguish whether it was his guitar or the singer. I think Jeff has mastered every genre of music. Everybody has their favorite guitarist but there is only one Jeff Beck and no one can do what he can. I've been playing for 40 years and I still can't achieve his technique.
So beautiful , so powerful. Wouldn't be surprised if Pavarotti is looking down and smiling.
(And its not even PBS fundraiser time !)
If your favorite guitarist is not Jeff then he is your favorite guitarists favorite
That night on that stage Jeff was the best guitarist. Truly one of The Godfather’s of Guitar
I’ll will really miss his dynamic phrasing and ability to sing through his guitar. He’s the one and only Jeff Beck. RIP 💫
Wow, I love that he seems to love Italian music as I have seen him play "Caruso" too. I wish he would have made an entire cd of Italian music, but he could play any type of song and make that guitar sound like no other instrument on earth.
His guitar literally SANG 'Nessun dorma' just as good if not more interesting than many opera singers. It brought tears to my eyes. BRAVO! BRAVO!
RIP Sir, you showed us what talent is.
Jeff Beck is from a planet further out in the galaxy than Hendrix. A true legend.
Lets not get too carried away. Jeff Beck is superb!! Probably better than Clapton. But no one surpasses Hendrix. He was/is on a plateau all by himself.
Four rocks from the sun.
TATTOO DAT!!!
Only Beck could pull this off . An excellent melody endures no matter the instrument played . In the 1960’s we let musicians lead the way and expose us to great writing and music . Once the corporatists took over they led the way and we now have ….well either you lived through it or not
Wonderful cool version of "Nessun Dorma"..hard to believe he passed away😰..thank god we have his music!🙏..may he RIP
Best guitarist EVER. No question.
i saw 5 guitar players/ All amazing. which one? Information is always critical
@@morbidmanmusic Jeff Beck. You shouldn’t have to ask.
Best guitarist maybe his style, there are so many great guitarist out there, SRV literally blew Jeff Beck off the stage that doesn't mean Stevie is better than Jeff but playing Stevie style he couldn't keep up
@@loucifer323 Yes indeed brother. I saw Stevie Ray Vaughn n Jeff Beck at "RPI" in upstate New York, 1989. They are both great, but SRV did out play JB at that particular concert. Bless All Always n Forever n Ever!
@@loucifer323 A lot think he both could and did. But, of course, SRV is one on the greatest and a sad loss. One of my regrets is not seeing him live.
The only thing I can think of to explain Jeff Beck is he sounded like a classically-trained vocalist with supersonic chops and a pedal board. He made his guitar sing with unbelievable emotion combined with flawless technique and pitch.
WE WERE THERE WHERE WERE YOU? WHAT A SHOW WE TOOK 2 OF OUR SONS WHAT A DAY
WE MISS YOU JEFF, WE ALL LOVE YOU JEFF
THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES. and for making us feel SPECIAL our LOVE TO SANDRA!

This is a piece of History this is quite possibly the greatest guitarists performance of all time just getting the Applause and standing ovation he so deserves. And what's more amazing is how humble he is.

RIP Mr. Beck. Thanks for all the music.
NOTHING BUT LOVE FOR JEFF BECK! THANK YOU JEFF!
I’m amazed. I recently sold my 50 year old vinyl collection and it included a warped copy of Truth with water damage to the cover. The buyer asked if it still played. I gladly put it on the turntable and again enjoyed his magic. Sold for $20. A steal
The best man. Pure raw talent and tone and no gimmicks. God bless you jeff beck. I'm so sad you are gone. The world just got a lot worse at guitar😭😭
Now and then ZUES comes down and shows us mortals how the guitar is played . Jeff Beck is THE master .
RIP to this incredible AX MAN. May your chops live forever!
I've played guitar for over 30 years. After watching this video, I finally have the motivation to pursue a career in accounting.
Phenominal artist who crossed the rainbow bridge. Admired my millions for his God given talent, respect in life and the music industry. Great loss. He certainly made the guitar sing beautifully.
Truly a master. RIP Jeff you blew them all away. I still can't get how you kept developing and progressing your music and unique technique.
He will always be the god
of the wiggle stick! no other strat gets to heavenly sing like that! what a gift to the world rest in musical peace😎

When it comes to guitar playing JeffBeck is a freak of nature.... You get no better than JB
I always figured the "Clapton is God" crowd never heard Beck
@@jimcampbell8061 well. they call him slow hand for a reason and he knows who's the real boss and has admitted as much many times over..EC is a great songwriter and a good guitar player but his style is pentatonic blues and slow at that.

He was superhuman!
I'm crying now...
RIP JEFF BECK = "He was living so many lifetimes in one" ... This one sounded almost like a symphony ...
DESCOMUNAL!!

Beck, still demonstrating and proving why the electric guitar is a special instrument.
Maestro Jeff Beck is a tribute to voice and sound. No other solist alive did perform this aria so well translated in the beauty voice of his guitar.
He is a tribute for life....we the classical world loved this interpretation. There is so much soul in singing through his guitar that this piece is pure heaven. Thanks Maestro Jeff Beck....eternal as we are here writing

Jeff Beck will be remembered for the perfect note, the perfect sound, the perfect beat. At all times. Perfection was a trademark for that ever great musician.
RIP (Rock In Perpetuity), Jeff Beck. 🎸🤘 None shall sleep.....
Jesus Christ, Never taught Nessun Dorma would get me on a guitar, but this is just GREAT!
Seen Jeff many times in the 70's , my first time in 1972 in Tampa , Beck's lady chauffeur came around the corner by the backstage doors and didn't see me , she was looking at the back of the concert hall , almost ran me over , Jeff was on the passenger side and saw me in the road in the road and grabbed the steering wheel and yanked it to the left , also my girl had my hand and pulled me back, The mirror hit my stomach , just grazed me , but Beck had the driver girl stop and he jumped out and ran back to make sure I was ok. I told my fiance , that guy looks familiar , later then when he came on stage wearing a black and white banded shirt , I said ,"hey Babe ,that was Beck in the Cadillac Limo", she said " that' was Jeff Beck?" , I said yes it was. Loved Beck with Jan Hammer
Each note, a gift...amazing player, the envy of anyone who has ever played.
I use to go to church with Johnny Lang. Super nice guy.
The best guitarist I have ever heard. I have been listening to him my whole life and I am not young, but I am still amazed by him every single time I hear him
Hands down, my favorite guitarist!!!!!
Seeing Jeff Beck is not a show, it's an event. Original Guitar God simply incredible.
I have been such a fan and have been listening to his great music for so long that it’s really hard to grasp the fact that he is no longer with us. To me he was the greatest guitarist on the planet and he is truly missed by so many. Rest in peace sir and may God Bless You.
