When I see this collection of talent gathered in one place to pay homage to one of their own I realise how fortunate I am to have grown up surrounded by this remarkable music. Each year the band gets smaller as yet another takes their place in the band in the sky....today they have another vocalist joining them in Tina T...what a party when she arrives!

I met Susan in Albany (before she married Derek) almost 30 years ago playing outdoors. Both a buddy of mine were nuts about her because she was a phenomenal musician and drop dead gorgeous. (She still is) He went to get his CD signed ... She simply smiled and just wrote "To Jeff, ....Thanks, Susan".….. a minute later she signed mine, smiled and gave a little hair flip and wrote, "To Chris..... LOVE Susan!!" 😁😁😁 Man!!!! That really made my day!! To this day, my pal still is still pissed!! Damn you, Derek!!! You stole my future girl, you lucky bastard!😊😊😊😊

I just saw Tedeschi/Trucks Band in front of Willie Nelson in Raleigh NC. I saw her in 1989 , but she has grown so much and I was in awe of her current band, and her voice is amazing and so mature. Susan has as much Soul as you could ever imagine and she’s such a moving artist,yet she’s so humble and she has a magic that absolutely moves the entire audience and she should be in the Hall of Fame 💯🎶🕊️💜🕊️🎶💯

The rest of those appearing at the event included Beck's most recent band (Johnny Depp included) and a variety of others, largely drawn from Clapton's Crossroads Festival regulars (which Tedeschi & Trucks also are) plus the likes of Olivia Safe, Imelda May and Joss Stone, all of whom did guest vocal appearances with Beck on record and on stage. Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood were the sole representatives of any Beck band prior to about 2011.
