My personal favorite is the Gotthard Twinswords as I definitely prefer them over the Sellsword winblades. I'm sure the twinblades have significantly higher dps, but I love the range on the twinswords and the rolling L1 poke attacks are amazing on this weapon.
One handed it’s amazing for PVP. Even great dark infused on an Int/faith build
They feel more like the powerstance rapiers in elden ring from my experience, kind of a strange moveset, but is entirely unique and novel as far as I know from ds3
I think Winblades are better PVE & Gotthard better PVP
From what i've seen it's the highest range SS in the game. I can see why you like it, must be comfy
I remember playing DS3 with my brother and finding the sellsword twinblades pretty quickly. I also discovered pretty quickly that they were completely busted, but my brother insisted that the Farron Greatsword was better (tbf, it does have a much cooler moveset); so, for shits and giggles, we did a little dps check after maxing them both out and buffing ourselves with every buff we could think of, testing both weapons against Nameless King. My brother went first and died about thirty times before proudly beating him in about four minutes (obviously he quit out to let me fight the boss afterwards). I went up next and proceeded to obliterate NK in five tries and two minutes.
So yeah, I had no doubt that the Winblades would take the top spot.
I remember how ridiculously OP the Ringed Knight Paired GSwords were before they got nerfed, they were pretty much the only weapon you ever saw in PvP when the DLC first came out and they basically made you invincible in PvE. Good to see they’re still really really good while not being completely busted
Yeah, it kinda was like the DS3 version of Rivers of Blood on release. Not even remote similar moveset, but both were insanely OP and ppl abused the shit out of the weapon art in PVP
This is the one I have been looking forward to the most.
Bro i LOVE the Great Mace!
As soon as i saw a Cathedral Knight turn on the buff i knew i wanted to do the same with the Blessed Weapon miracle.
It looks so cool!
No Freyed Blade? It is the only weapon in the game that in some cases (if the enemy can be bled and leaves some big-ish opportunities to attack) can surpass even the sellsword twinsblades in DPS (by spamming the flurry weapon art).
I have 3 titanite slabs left (on a NG+3 run currently) & I’m gonna take some of your advice, thanks bro🙏
My go to in this game is always the black knight sword, hits like a truck with good moveset.
That's what I used for 3/4th of the game. Tried to make myself use something else, but I always keep going back.
Commenting for support! great streams aswell! go youwy!
I started as the Knight and fully maxed out that sword starting weapon for the whole game, same with the shield. I changed armour twice, once with the fallen knight armour and finished with the brass armour as i thought they looked cool!
honestly I never thought to change my sword, once it starts getting upgraded it's just as powerful as any special sword and a lot lighter.
Would u ever do a sekiro prosthetic tools or combat art tier list
yeah probably
I’ve beaten every souls games except for sekiro 😭

This list is awesome, ty broski. New dark souls run hyped up for elden ring dlc running through the old games. Bloodborne list next :)
Yes, replying to myself..... I do not expect a bloodborne teirlist. Since it's on an ancient ps4 😢 dreams may come true with a remaster
When ds3 released I had like 700h in ds1+ds2 so the game was not hard at all for me, but picking up winblade as a starter class made the game piss easy
i’m literally playing this rn
sameee, im playing it for the first time lol
can we pvp or summon together 😂 on steamdeck
Me too. Not my favorite souls
@@jonasjojofalco9896what is
Same
Another UGS i really like has to be the astroa greatsword, you can basically have ANY build imaginable and still find some way to slap the astora greatsword
Love the LKGS. Lightning infuse on my str/fth build always catches invaders by surprise. They think they can block is and boom, lightning damage through the shield. And then the weapon art always catches them by surprise. Then R1 spam like a noob til they die.
The heavy attack and follow up literally feels orgasmic when it hits
this is what I needed
For me nothing beats the Exile greatsword.
Super strong, Insane damage and scalling, looks cool af, fast, early acquired, can be infused etc...
We all knew the Winblades were coming; absolute boss melters.
Another great thing about the RKPGs; they might be the best anti-Friede weapon in the game. Specifically, the power stance moveset just absolutely bodies her; she has no poise, so she gets staggered by the entire run up leading to the first attack. And the second and third attacks have such wide coverage on their sweeps that they will catch her dodges 9 times out of 10, leading to her eating the full combo. Even if she tries to attack out of it, the hyper armor is so good that you'll usually just keep going and hit her anyway. I always dreaded that fight on NG+ runs until I tried the RKPGs, leading to the _only_ time I considered that fight to be anything even close to "easy."
Do game really need an anti-Friede weapon ? She is not that strong at all. It would take someone 3-4 try to beat her. I would place her with Lothric princes.
I wish u would title the segments of the video, i just like to look ahead at what u personally picked as i watch and learn about y u picked and where u ranked it all
Farron Greatsword is ol' reliable for me. Sweet anime combo attacks, wide sweeps, and the stagger potential for the knife and the greatsword itself make this king for me. If I'm gonna fight, I'll do it with style.
It isn't bad, but my biggest issue is that it can throw you off cliffs if you arent careful lmao
Old wolf curved greatsword, mace, Valorheart, the greatsword, sunlight straight sword, dragonslayer swordspear, partisan, black knight halberd. 👍
The two hands heavy attack on the LKGS is so good, I used it way more than r1
Sellsword twinblades ruined my first experience with dark souls 3 so much that I still cant bring myself to like DS3 as much as 1 and 2 due to how easy the game gets.
Do a sl1 run
Ds1 with magic is the easiest experience I had in dark souls.
@@DrooledOn I played mostly release DS2 rather than the new gen update, so for me DS2 is just the better game between 2 and 3, but that's just me.
@@DrooledOnused to dog on magic builds. Summoned a mage guy online for lothric fight and he slapped em in 30 seconds with this huge ass fire ball I was like damn lemme get some damage in😂😂
Why not just play with a different weapon I did the same thing and I was highkey mad confused cause I played ds3 after Elden ring and I was like damn wtf this game really ain’t that hard. Now I’m doing a frayed blade build for ng+
As soon as i saw this list i knew our guiding moonlight would be on it
It’s ridiculously mid in ds3 bro’s actually glazing
@@twoshu8940The Moonlight Greatsword ain't mid at all lmao
@@twoshu8940ahhh yes. the greatsword that has more ar than most ultragreatswords/greataxes/greathammers and one of the best weapon arts for pve and pvp. how couldnt it be mid?
I saw this then went for the great sword and loved it. Range is great and I became an absolute tank with the damage output and the hyper armor. I would personally suggest it
And here I am using that rolling attack in pvp with yhorms great machete with great success
That sword you get from the creature just before road of sacrifice carried me to the endgame.
Irithyl sword?
Perfect timing, was just about to replay ds3
same here
i like the cathedral gs, looks nice
Lothric Knight Straight Sword is one of my favorite weapons, it looks great aesthetically, it has best in class range, amazing moveset with the poking heavy attacks, amazing scaling with all types of infusions. Square off is also really good in DS3 for dealing with shielded enemies. But we all knew Sellsword Winblades would be number one because they’re just insanely broken and trivialize the game
LKS is the best pve and pvp weapon in DS3. Sellswords do more dps but you can use it with a shield, and shields make pve a lot easier.
@@alexandrecl4331 shields are only better in some situation, sucks against most boss, i find dodging require much less stamina than blocking
saw the sellsword twinblades coming lol.
I love fast dps powerstance weapons, but they're so OP in both ER and DS3 😭
Old Wolfs is the best curved greatsword, its restore HP with consecutives hits and stacks with pontiffs eyes. Perfect for PvE.
I like to keep it simple and the Great machette will always remain my favorite. those R1s are so damn satisfying. Yhorms Great machette is good too, but the stamina cost is a bit too high.
I like how you used some of the locations wherr its best to farm certain covenant items. I feel i killed those 2 knights at anor londo over 1000 times in the past few days lol
My favorite is the Astora GS, so much fun to play with.
I started playing DS 3 for the first time and the weapon I'm useing is the SPIKED MACE with heavy infusion. I just love this weapon and the weapon art is amasing. I am planing to use it to the endgame.
I beat the game once with the sellsword twinblades, then the frayed blade, and then the longsword and shield (knight starter gear). I cannot express how easy it was to beat the game with the longsword and I dont even know why
It has fast attacks with little lag and stamina consumption, so you can easily dodge or block after swinging, vs other weapons swing slower and you’re more likely to be stuck in lag or have low stamina so you can’t spam dodge or block afterwords. In other games the long sword does this too but the damage isn’t as good.
Just got into ds3 after going through the other 2 games. Should I use the claymore or the Corvian Scythe? Also what should I infuse with it? I had planned on making some type of faith build but I’ve hard dark uses faith so would that be better? Or should I infuse with heavy or sharp and wait to get lighting blade or the dark version of it?
I know it’s low down on everyone else’s list but I always loved Yhorm’s great machete for both pve and pvp.
ill always go with the Gael Greatsword. the move set is goated
Ik it’s not the best but farron greatsword will be the reason I remember this game, the move set is just so fun and cool. Hoping Elden ring dlc drops a weapon with a similar move set.
I find the bloodhound fang to have a similar vibe to the farron greatsword. But the same, but there are similarities.
Friede's scythe, my beloved
Lothric Knight Greatsword my beloved
Ayyy lmfao my beloved
Amazing list, but man I was hoping to see Lorian's greatsword here. It's tied as my favourite weapon alongside Dragonslayer Greataxe. Nonetheless, happy to see the Dragonslayer Greataxe in the top 5, that weopon deals ridiculous damage with it's weopon art.
Solid list
I still think the claymore has a place in this. It just does everything well. Great range, good damage, can be infused/buff, good weapon art, good moveset, not too heavy and can be picked after 5-10 minutes of gameplay.
Black Knight weapons should at least be honorable mentions. Very high physical damage, great stagger potential and bonus damage against demons is very nice. Particularly the greatsword (not the ultra) is stupid good with perseverance allowing it to trade blows against basically anything.
As a sidenote, LKGS works better with a Blessed infusion, since the faith scaling applies to both the physical and lightning damage.
No Crucifix of the Mad King, Demon’s Scar, Frayed Blade, Gael’s Greatsword, or Crow Quills :(
DS3 dlc weapons were so cool
GAEL GREATSWORD ON TOP 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🗣🗣
exhile curved greatsword and dragon slayer great axe carried me so you got me there but…holy princes greatsword with its 2 great weapon arts and the spinning halberd should be mentioned
No Astora Greatsword mention is crazy
best weapon art in the game
Blatantly outclassed by Lorians greatsword
@@aWandererr can you get an S scaling in dex or int on Lorians Greatsword? Exactly
@@aWandererrbiggest clown take ever 😂
@@downbeef69could be wrong but pretty sure lorians gets higher damage even going all into strength
I wish you made this video 1 year ago. Btw what do you think about the astora GS. I think its a bit longer and lighter than the LKGS. I always swap to astora GS (sharp infuse) and spam poke att when exploring and sellsword winblades when fighting bosses. With those 2 wp the game felt like the easiest in the franchise XD
Freyed Blade is just insane, The damage output is unreal, I still remember I used to destroy bosses with it even on NG+2.
chaos blade is my favorite
It's basically frayed blade with better scaling, more damage, and the ability to parry (even though frayed blade has my favorite moveset out of any weapon in the game)
the 1% hp loss can be basically midigated with sun princess ring, a miracle, or the dragon greatshield making for an absolute monster of a weapon with damage close to winblades and the highest dex scaling in the game
Doesn't tear through bosses as easily as winblades but it's free if you can beat champion gundyr (even though winblades are still more easily obtainable, those are blatantly broken)
I wouldn't say it's better than winblades, and i'm not even sure if it's list worthy but it's definitely my favorite
Youwy one question when I played DS3 last time the weapons I was seeing for my build were the Greatsword of Judgement and the Moonlight Greatsword but the Judgement gave me way way more damage, was I building wrong
I always thought the Lothric UGS was best with a blessed infusion.
sellsword Twinblades remind me of AoT 's Dual Blades
Just bought the game (After playing 1000+ hours of Elden Ring), I was wondering if I should try Corvian Scythe or Sellswords instead of the clumsy mining took thing Im using. :D
Greatsword as Hollow haves 749 AR and it is higeshst pure element weapon damage what can be boosted. Lorian's Greatsword with Max stats=838 AR+Weapon art Adds 80 fire damage=918 AR and many enemys are weak to fire so that is nice. Lothric Knight Greatsword as Blessed=877 AR. If i remember right 600 is physical damage and rest is lighning damage+2hp per SecHP regen is nice.
The astora ultra great sword was the best for pvp hands down for the longest time because you couldn't parry the rolling or running attack. Then they patched it and ruined my day 😂
Feel like Splitleaf GS should also get an honorable mention. It does so much dmg
I like the twin princes great sword
imo the lkgs should be top 5. one of the most versatile weapons considering it's top tier for dex, strength and faith builds. it's also very viable to run it with a blessed infusion as opposed to a lightning infusion. midir is commonly cited as the toughest boss for most people and this weapon is pretty much tailor made to kill him.
Astora’s great sword is my favorite
Same bro I always use it and spam poke att with R2 lol. The sharp infuse version is so busted. Its so long and light too
The SellSword Twinblades you show there in the video what infusion did you upgrade?
Rank the boss weapons for ds3 . It has the best boss weapons
My favorite weapon to this day in ds3 is the swordspear
All your takes are valid
What is the chestpiece you had on the First sythe Clip?
ok i didnt wanna spoil myself to looking sellsword is top 3 but oh boy i was getting worried that it didnt appear untill last spot haha
Can we talk about the drip in the video tho, I need all those armor combination info asap
Square off isn't available as an AOW for greatswords in Elden Ring because greatswords are already the best weapon class in the game
The black Knight sword is pretty damn good.
Hollowslayer is bae , hopefully we get that moveset in Shadow of the Erdtree
Knight's greatsword in elden ring has exactly the same light attack sequence, not heavy tho
@@senjai77308 yeah I know, need the same heavy as well. The thrust is too good 👍
Lothric’s Holy Sword will never not be my favourite DS3 weapon, that Stance beam attack is too cool not to take into NG+
Straight sword R1 for victory👌
Friede's scythe felt better when I used both of them when playing scythe's only play through, mostly because friede's scythe has more range and has more fun and better moveset which allows it to hit enemies with its sweetspots compared to something like corvian or great scythe's. And also it does more damage dispite having lesser scaling in dex, it's sweet spot works much different compared to corvian because for convian when you don't hit with sweetspot, it's damage is reduced by 10percent and Don't have any bonus for hitting with sweetspot either but friede gets 15percent more bonus damage for sweetspot and Don't lose any damage when not hitting with sweetspots.
Lmaooo loved this
man, why do the kinesthetics of this game look so much more complete than elden ring?
Randomly picked up the Exile Greatsword off of a random knight in the swamp, one of the best decisions ive made
What kind of build should I use for the Lothric Knoght Greatsword? Just get to 30 faith for lightning blade and go strength or dex from there?
Hmm... interesting 😅 no vordt hammer? (Vordt of the Boreal Valley) I see. Great mace is good.
We know who vordt is
What about the great sword id argue it’s pretty good
Iirc you don't need the full strength requirement for paired weapons. They're just bugged because they show the cross icon that says you can't wield it, but you can.
yeah, i planned to go hyper dex build for the first time in ds3 and realized you can just wield FarronGS effectively at 12 strength cuz of this
What build are you running in this video?
Broadsword has better AR than LKSS, the only downsides that the Broadsword has is its slightly lower range and less crit damage
The Broadsword also doesn't get the thrusting attacks of the LKSS
Honestly, I think this is the only weapon guide anyone needs if they just want to run a good weapon from the start. Well done :)
Knowing that Fume Greatsword was nerfed but twin blades, a starter weapon, were not just makes me 🗿
Prob the irhthyll frost sword for me or the dragon armor axe
MOONLIGHT MY BELOVED
These past few months I've been replaying DS3 and even Bloodborne. Went back to Elden Ring and It's almost like starting over again. I keep forgetting to jump! But playing the old games have given me a whole new appreciation for Elden Ring..This time WITHOUT a crutch of Dragon Incantations!
first thing that tripped me up going back to ds3 was pressing X to pick up items and touch bonfires etc. instead of triangle. and then when playing elden ring again recently it tripped me up in the reverse 😅
You'll have way more fun. Dragon incantations are so boring to use 🥱🥱🥱
I didn’t jump attack against a single boss in my ER playthrough tbh, just feels wrong😅
@@Dasqal
those ER jump attacks looks so unsatisfying
Where would frayed blade be, I am a big fan of it so I want to know how good it is maxed out
it is honestly really strong.
and with bosses that give u enough openings, it straight up has better dps than the SellswordTwinblades too
the butcher sword is so underrated
With the sellsword winblades getting all the attention no one remembers the grave warden twinblades :( it gets more dps against enemies that can bleed and works really damned well with a hollow/luck build
Yeah but you can the winblades with a starting class
I kinda prefer the grave warden’s twin blades for bosses that can be bled
It’s about damn time.
Did you use mods while getting the gameplay? When I play ds3 the games looks chppy and bad at best, while your gameplay look amazing.
Loved the video btw
Bruh Astora greatsword not on this list is criminal
