To put the Ice Rapier's projectile into perspective, it can countersnipe Shrine of Amana when aimed with binoculars. Of course a bow and poison arrows can do it cheaper, but it's the principle of the thing
Surprised no mention of the Saw Cleaver. Its transform attacks are outstanding for building beast meter which gives it crazy high damage output. It's charged R2 is also really fast so it's great for getting backstabs too.
@@gabrieldufloth5497 Spear and Cleaver are about the same. Most of the time they'll be used untransformed because the movesets are faster, in which case they're identical. Transformed, Spear's moveset is generally better but I like the Cleaver's vertical R1s for hitting the heads of bosses like Amygdala and Laurence, plus it has higher rally multipliers and a way better running R1.
@@PhantomGamer049 Spear has better scaling in general. Its strength scaling is only slightly lower while its skill scaling is noticeably higher, but this is balanced out by it having less base damage. Skill scaling is nice for visceral damage but a charged attack works just fine in its place, especially since you don't get beast meter from visceral attacks.
Saw cleaver/spear... These weapons are absolutely dominant in both pvp and pve, there's a reason there used not just in speedruns but also all content/100%/all trophies runs as well as being banned from several tournaments
It's used in speedruns because you can literally start the game with it. It's a solid weapon for sure but there's definitely a few that outclass it though damage-wise.
One thing to further explain the Meat Cleaver’s brokenness from Demon’s Souls: it also has fast acting and reliable hyper armor frames on most attacks, allowing you to trade fairly consistently. Also, the 2h rolling attack is such a disgusting roll catcher in pvp. If you watch top level fights, it’s fairly common to see fights devolve into this move being spammed.

gr8 video mate! Just a sidenote the whirlygig saw and ludwigs holy blade have the highest base damage, however the best/strongest weapon in BB in the sawcleaver. It has the best dps in the game.
I'd add Vordt's Hammer into the DS3 mix. You can get it super early. Relatively low str. req. at 30 (23 with 2h). It's a greathammer, so big poise damage. It's strike damage, so most enemies are either weak or indifferent towards it. Really high frost buildup, most enemies are either weak or indifferent to frost. It has great swiping attack in 1h and great single target attacks in 2h. Relatively fast compared to other colossal weapons. Really good range, especially on the dodge attack. It is heavy though, however you can get Havel ring pretty early, and if you add Prisoner's Chain it's all good. It doesn't have the best pure damage, but if you add all of the above it is hands down one of the best weapons in DS3.
Hell yeah, I personally hate strength builds, and I know great swords are always good options but can't seem to use them, I always go for lighter builds because that's what I find fun
Rapiers do go wacko mode in DS2 but honestly, I think that more people need to look at the Bandit's Axe and the Battleaxe. The 1H R2s are INSANELY strong. Tons of poise damage, super fast, good damage, and good counter damage. They're very underrated.
The Saw Cleaver is without question the undisputed best weapon in Bloodborne. I think it's tied with the pizza cutter. The damage and speed of the saw cleaver and the beast blood pellet bar charge potential with transformation attacks is brutal. Challenge runners stick with it for a reason.
Actually it is the saw spear. because it scales with skill and skill is a more useful stat than strength. At high stats it has more ar than the saw cleaver as well. I think the saw cleaver may do more damage with transformation attacks though
Saw spear is the best, it has thrust attack which many enemies are weak to which gives it the advantage. Though the cleaver and whirligig are just slightly below it
In terms of pure base DPS cleaver is goat. And you get it for free immediately. But if you’re recommending weapons for people, Saw Spear is much better imo. Serrated in both forms, so your R1-L1-L1 combo will melt any big beast boss (esp if you have some paper. :)
I agree with like most of the list but I’d debate 3 spots that being DS3, BB, and maybe ER. DS3 is a bit of a surprise but if we’re talking strictly PvE I think Vordts has a very good argument. Does the most stagger out of any weapon type being a large hammer, it can splat, it has 110 Frost aux, but most important is 6 sec perseverance. With Sellswords you still have to pay attention and fight the enemy. But with this thing I’ve seen new players just L2 and wack the enemy without bothering to dodge. The frost damage does a % of HP and increases the damage they take. BB I think the saw spear could be number one. Scales with skill thus leading to more powerful viscerals. Serrated damage on both forms, most braindead R1 - L1 off beast pellets, and most importantly it’s a one hand weapon. Giving you access to parry. Which is just about the most braindead OP thing in the game. With ER I probably agree. But any fast paired weapon coupled with the *NUMEROUS* multi hit buffs. Just leads to demolishing anything with no struggle in literal seconds. Prime example being duel curved swords jumping L1. Off multi hit and jumping attack buffs. Only downside is this setup actually takes a lot of setup.
Really surprised that despite the huge number of viable weapons in all these games I agreed with all your picks except DS1. Black Knight weapons are simply too good! Also the Claymore and Zweihander are classics (for Bloodborne I would go with Ludwig Holy Blade, but I consider us in agreement since you gave it a shout-out)
@@YairGatt consensus for who? You can’t buff them at all and they are only good because you get them earlier so they are only disproportionally strong compared to the beginning of the game. At the end of the game the gargoyle halberd will do the same damage except you can also buff it, it weighs less, and gives you better immunity to stuff like poison. The buffing part becomes extremely noticeable in later play throughs because the damage just falls of without it. Any weapon you can’t buff or has split damage is inferior.
The great scythe is literally just a better version of the black knight halberd that does more damage, is faster, and has more range, and can be buffed. There's no comparison between the two there. And the gravelord sword that you can get within 5 minutes of getting to firelink shrine is better than the black knight sword. Most people only like the black knight weapons since they get them early and they are better than most weapons you can get early game. Mid and late game there are almost always better options.
My personal favorite in DS1 is the black knight sword, simply because it can be acquired super early, and it’s easier to make the requirements compared to the black knight halberd. If it drops from the first black knight in the burg, you’re basically invincible for the rest of the game as long as you have basic DS skills.
For DS1/DSR the painting guardian sword is definitely the best. It has a quick moveset, the highest damage of any buffable curved sword and on top of all of that, it has bleed.
The classic dark souls 2 run. Start rapier from Lenigrast then respec once you get the Red Iron Twinblade from Shrine of Amana. Winblade is such a broken weapon.
I'd personally give DS3 the Dragonslayer Greataxe. Crazy physical damage, plus lightning damage, and it's skill is like an actual nuke, it just destroys boss healthbars
Blasphemous blade might be the best single weapon, but a fine tuned dual bandits blood curves swords delete any boss that can bleed especially if you centre them around jumping attack combos, with a few buffs I beat Godfrey in 6 seconds
For Elden Ring I would give it to the Neheel spear with a very close second to the scavengers curved sword. Using those in a pair with seppuku and some bleed shards and it just wrecks. Even against bleed resistant enemies if you pair it with jumping bonuses and the L1 spam.
I know bro. Those still aren’t as good as the sellswords because they’re aren’t many enemies that can be bleed out in this game and it also doesn’t proc bleed that fast unless you go all into luck which hurts the damage even more. so the sellsword is just better to have in almost every instance.

I feel like DS3 is subjective because there is so many good weapons for each build my personal favorite is the exile greatsword it just shreds everything with ease
Surprised by the AC6 stun needle launcher pick. It's powerful, sure, but It's pretty much exclusively a stagger punish, which was nerfed pretty hard. It's also pretty heavy and has a very high EN load. My personal pick would probably be earshot or the LCS laser cannon. Possibly even the ransetsu-rf burst rifle, for being the best "gereral use" weapon imo
I was kinda disappointed you didn't talk about best weapon art in Sekiro instead. I would say Double ichimonji (for the posture recovery) or Sakura dance. But there are so many good weapon arts there.
Dark Souls 2 lightnig infused heide knight sword with sunlight blade buff is absolutelt ridiculous. Passive lightning faith scaling on a sword that can be imbued further with a faith scaling lightning bolt stone and can be buffed by a lightning infused dragon chime. This is honestly one of the highlights of dark souls 2 that gave it the most build possibilities compared to any other souls game.
DkS2 has a lot of large weapons that trivialize a ton of the game. Hell; the recovery on great hammers is barely an issue when 70% of what you fight has to get its butt back up after being splatted on the floor. Plus there's barely anything that can take a powerstanced dual smelter hit lol. Fast weapon privilege is just too strong in most of these games though; so its very hard to justify telling people just starting out to put in that stat investment, or getting used to fighting with an unlocked camera .
As someone with 1k hours in DS2 and several no death runs. I did most either with Rapiers, Battle/Bandit Axe, Red Iron Twinblade or Great/Large Club. They all feel super powerfull, but one big downside for the rapiers is how bad they feel out side of Boss fights. You have no way to hit more then 1 enemy, the tracking against fast enemies can be realy bad. I think with the Rapier i died alot more against normal enemies compared to any other Weapon class. But they all have their downsides, like Great Hammers who bounce of walls and so on. Overall i think the balancing in DS2 is the best when it comes to variety. DS1 has all the Black Knight Weapons early on, ER has so many complete broken AoW and i havent played enough of DS3 to realy judge it.
Yeah, some people tend to focus on a weapons performance against solo enemies or bosses only. It doesn't make a weapon drastically less viable than another; but it does need to be addressed when trying to call a weapon "the best" of the truck load of weapons in DkS2 that are all very viable.
In DS1 im a little more partial to the BSS and with the way buffs work the speed of a straight sword is nice. For PvE in ds2 the espada ropera does about the same damage unless infused and buffed but double the durability and its easier to get earlier. The pizza cutter is good but i do find that if youre gonna min max with gems the saw cleaver is going to be all around a better weapon because of moveset. Between the two great swords it just depends if you went faith or int lol. Just my opinions. Peoples experiences differ greatly so take it worth salt
I’m gonna go back to elden ring in a bit and had no idea what I was gonna use, I want to use something new but something that I know is still good, I used blasphemous blade for a little bit and remember how fun it was so I’ll definitely be using that
I don’t know why I feel so strongly about this but I think the holy moonlight sword is definitely the best weapon in bloodborne. It has good scaling, really good damage, way faster then Ludwigs sword, ranged attacks, plus it’s just super cool, plus it’s worth pumping stats into arcane for the hunter tools, blacksky eye goes crazy‼️‼️
It's definitely a top 3/4 weapon. The top 3 being Ludwig's, Rakuyo and Whirligig. Actually, yea number 4 ain't bad. They're all ridiculously good and fun.
Bloodborne has really good weapons, but i would say saw cleaver/saw spear are the best in general if you use beast pelets, they built it so much faster than other weapons, a few swings and you get 2k to 3k slaps, and they are very fast, to deal with humanoid enemies, the moonlight untransformed has an amazing poke with a follow up upwards atk that deal massive dmg, like 3 to 5 k, you can one shot the hunters before the one reborn, but the pizza cutter still the most cheasy weapon, just built beast metter wit the saws and let it rip with the cutter, the only strongest thing would be a full beast metter visersl with all claw runes that is about 12k to 16k, also all those numbers can go even higher if you farm poormans gems
Ludwig's Holy Blade is imo one of the much weaker weapons in BB, untransformed it's damage is poor while transformed it's moveset is slow. Imo there are 3 (technically 2) best BB weapons and they are the Saw Spear/Cleaver because they are easy to obtain and dish out incredible damage fast, and the Holy Moonlight Sword (untransformed) for its quick moveset, high damage and insanely strong and quick R2 attacks.
I know I'm late for this but for Ds 1 there are much better weapons like painting guardian sword or falchion which you can get at the start of the game.
Best weapon in Bloodborne is the Church Pick. Serrated damage, thrust damage and a good moveset. It’s just the best. I still am a hunter axe guy but Church Pick is too good.
I have only played Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3, and Elden Ring so I'll do my top 3 weapons for each: Bloodborne: 1 Holy Moonlight Sword 2 Ludwig's Holy Blade 3 Burial Blade Dark Souls 3: 1 Wolf Knights Greatsword 2 Exile Curved Greatsword 3 Claymore Elden Ring: 1 Blasphemous Blade 2 Darkmoon Greatsword 3 Bloodhounds Fang Yes I understand the top 10 of each is entirely subjective and depends on the players sensibilities, this is my list.
I'd argue iron spiked balls with strength infusion are better in elden ring, insane poise damage, one of the highest dmg outputs, quick charged attacks and literally melts bigger bosses
Viscerals scaling of dex is not stupid. The game is designed specifically to not give you dex weapons until the late game and there are very few anyway.
Dead wrong on bloodborne... Saw cleaver is definitely best weapon in game. Great damage, fantastic moveset, fast, and the best part being you can get the thing literally at the start of the game. Whirligig saw would probably be #1 if you could get it earlier
DSGA was one of my first favorites but the rolling attacks sucks with two hands :( it has no range and no horizontal slashes make groups harder unless you use the weapon art
I feel like ordovis greatsword is slightly overlooked in elden ring. That sword (and the great tree Crucible knight) weapon are so damn good. The ash of war on the greatsword is so incredibly broken. And the one on the tree being a projectile with that much damage is also really broken. I just did a run with a crucible knight build (both weapons and all their spells) and man it was so fun but so broken. It’s probably not as OP as blasphemous and DMGS but they are pretty damn close.
Ordovis' is definitely a top 10-15 weapon but since holy damage is the worst damage in elden ring it's just not as good as a lot of the other weapons. It does absolutely trivialize a lot of the early to mid game bosses before every boss starts resisting holy damage and is probably one of the easiest weapons to beat melania with.
@@tehCostHD Maliketh, Radagon, Elden Beast, and Fortissex are 80% resistant, Radahn, Morgott, Godrick, Godfrey, and every Godskin enemy are 40% resistant. Basically every Shardbearer and major boss in the last 3/4ths of the game it's their most resisted or second most resisted element. Ordovis Greatsword is still good, hence why I said it was a top 10-15 weapon but it just does way less damage for the amount of charge time it has compared to blasphemous blade and moonlight greatsword. I usually use it or the black knife as a backup weapon in my faith builds when i'm fighting an enemy that is weak to poise breaks or is weak to holy damage like deathbirds, or if i'm using the blasphemous blade and it starts to rain. I might also be biased because I hate revenants with a burning passion and they are also 40% resistant.
@@tehCostHD It still does good damage, don't get me wrong, but against most of those bosses your better off just using the Blasphemous Blade, I did a run of the game where I beat most bosses using just the Ordovis' Greatsword ash of war and it wasn't that hard, but when I did the same using the blasphemous blade I barely even had to think to beat every boss with just the ash on NG+. Only difficult boss with BB is fire giant. Against any low poise enemy Ordovis' is probably the best weapon in the game along with wing of astel and a greatsword with giant hunt.
I always sticking wih greatsword and switching my blade once i get the better one, but if at one point i get dragonslayer inspired weapon i just use it for the rest of the run, its feels like... Peak of greatsword even if its not

I feel like DS3 is subjective because there is so many good weapons for each build my personal favorite is the exile greatsword it just shreds everything with ease
Meanwhile me in elden ring with godskin peeler which imo should be scythe design wise idk why its a twin blade i mean considered a twinblade
Best Chromehounds weapon. That game was awesome
I was kinda disappointed you didn't talk about best weapon art in Sekiro instead. I would say Double ichimonji (for the posture recovery) or Sakura dance. But there are so many good weapon arts there.
DeS: Northern Regalia
DS1: Black Knight Halberd
DS2: Santier's Spear
BB: Burial Blade
DS3: Lothric Knight Sword
ER: Bloodhound's Fang
Dark Souls 2 lightnig infused heide knight sword with sunlight blade buff is absolutelt ridiculous. Passive lightning faith scaling on a sword that can be imbued further with a faith scaling lightning bolt stone and can be buffed by a lightning infused dragon chime.
This is honestly one of the highlights of dark souls 2 that gave it the most build possibilities compared to any other souls game.
Pvp list would be:
Crystal great club.
Warped sword.
Pontiff knight curved sword.
Cleanrot rapier.
You should do a best strength weapon for each souls game vid and one for dex, Faith, Magic
Saw clever is objectively better. First weapon you can get, good limb break with the transformation attack, good range on the tricked mode.
I’m gonna go back to elden ring in a bit and had no idea what I was gonna use, I want to use something new but something that I know is still good, I used blasphemous blade for a little bit and remember how fun it was so I’ll definitely be using that
Aye love to the great scythe 💪🏻❤️ it is hands down the best weapon in ds1 especially for a dex build
Reminder that Cookies and Cream is a FromSoft game
Picking anything but saw cleaver or holy moonlight is crazy. All weapons are balanced in that game so it only comes down to dps
DS3 Black Knight great sword
Bloodborne- Simons Bowblade
Elden Ring- (New weapon) Great Katana with Blood Tax
Should have maybe done best prosthetic arm for Sekiro
nice list
I don’t know why I feel so strongly about this but I think the holy moonlight sword is definitely the best weapon in bloodborne. It has good scaling, really good damage, way faster then Ludwigs sword, ranged attacks, plus it’s just super cool, plus it’s worth pumping stats into arcane for the hunter tools, blacksky eye goes crazy‼️‼️
It's definitely a top 3/4 weapon. The top 3 being Ludwig's, Rakuyo and Whirligig. Actually, yea number 4 ain't bad. They're all ridiculously good and fun.
In all seriousness though I really wanted a Kusabimaru-like weapon in Elden Ring where the ash of war implements the sekiro deflect system somehow
Nope
i felt like a God the day I one phased Rom with Whirligig Saw
I know I'm late for this but for Ds 1 there are much better weapons like painting guardian sword or falchion which you can get at the start of the game.
Nah the scythe broken
Best weapon in Bloodborne is the Church Pick. Serrated damage, thrust damage and a good moveset. It’s just the best. I still am a hunter axe guy but Church Pick is too good.
No serrated bonus, it has beasthunter bonus tho (on thrusting moves) also righteous bonus on thrusting moves
@@RandomGameClips27 I know it’s not technically serrated but it counts the same. Its transformed attacks are all thrusting btw.
@@RandomGameClips27which is basically the same thing
Nice video, cheers from Germany
I have only played Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3, and Elden Ring so I'll do my top 3 weapons for each:
Bloodborne:
1 Holy Moonlight Sword
2 Ludwig's Holy Blade
3 Burial Blade
Dark Souls 3:
1 Wolf Knights Greatsword
2 Exile Curved Greatsword
3 Claymore
Elden Ring:
1 Blasphemous Blade
2 Darkmoon Greatsword
3 Bloodhounds Fang
Yes I understand the top 10 of each is entirely subjective and depends on the players sensibilities, this is my list.
For me, Simon's Bowblade on an bloodtinge build is the strongest weapon in Bloodborne.
The Longsword is the best in DS3.
I love these kinds of videos but I do wish the video is longer. Great video nonetheless
I'd argue iron spiked balls with strength infusion are better in elden ring, insane poise damage, one of the highest dmg outputs, quick charged attacks and literally melts bigger bosses
IMO the best weapon in DS2 is by far the warped sword. It's honestly stupid how good it is.
"Who cares about the rest?"
*cries in Eternal Ring*
Viscerals scaling of dex is not stupid. The game is designed specifically to not give you dex weapons until the late game and there are very few anyway.
Lions claw ash on greatsword with bleed. I love this combo
Dead wrong on bloodborne... Saw cleaver is definitely best weapon in game. Great damage, fantastic moveset, fast, and the best part being you can get the thing literally at the start of the game. Whirligig saw would probably be #1 if you could get it earlier
Gold tracer is the best option for PVE in ds1,
fastest bleed in game.
that's all I got to say
Bro you put the Elden Ring Greatsword in the DS3 image 🌚
Vyke's war spear in elden ring is absolutely BONKERS, and mohg's weapon skill alone is almost as good as the blasphemous blade
You could make a case for the Wardens Twinblades in DS3. Everything else is average though compared to winblades.
Dark souls 3 I prefer Dragonslayer great axe and winged knight paired axes
DSGA was one of my first favorites but the rolling attacks sucks with two hands :( it has no range and no horizontal slashes make groups harder unless you use the weapon art
DSGA is very nice, but very hard to get early. Twinblade is a starting weapon, Vordt is very early, that is why it's not top.
Frayed blade in DS3: Am I a joke to you?
@@Necrowarp_ tbh even bosses like maliketh I completely stomped who is supposed to be good agaisnt holy haha
@@Necrowarp_ the weapon art just seems to stun lock everything any ways and with the right talismans it just shreds even the resistant bosses
Great video but I gotta disagree your BB choice. Saw cleaver is the weapon people use in challenge runs cuz it’s the best. Highest dps and stagger.
you picked my favorite 2 weapons in bloodborne
Ds1 is the only one i have played so far but i would say that in ds1 the great sythe the guardian sword and the zwihander are the best wepons
Personally:
Des: Meat Cleaver
DS1: Zweihander
DS2: Ice Rapier
DS3: Sellsword Twinblades
ER: Moonlight Greatsword
Bloodborne: Saw Clevaer
santier spear for ds2! pokes, twinblade, spin to win x3, and buffable!!!
but only the pre nerf version
It got nerfed pretty hard a while back
In Demon's Souls Northern Regalia even with 99 str, dex and faith deals more damage than Meat Cleaver and also is slightly faster
It can't be buffed tho but I agree it still is amazing
For elden ring I would definitely do the madness spear I think it's called valks spear or something?
Missed opportunity to pick the best prosthetic weapon in sekiro
Hard Disagree, the Mortal Blade is by far the best weapon in Sekiro 😤😤😤💯💯💯💯
Black knight halberd goes crazy idk what this scythe is doing here
"this scythe" is basically BK Halberd on steroids
DS1: zweihander > every other weapon (Pancakes are always better)
Eugh. How is that even fun
That demon souls weapon is something I need to try 😂
bone fist will always be the best in my heart in ds2
I always sticking wih greatsword and switching my blade once i get the better one, but if at one point i get dragonslayer inspired weapon i just use it for the rest of the run, its feels like... Peak of greatsword even if its not
I don't agree regarding DS3, I think the Warden Twinblades are better because of the bleed even if they have slightly less dex scaling
