Dave, I use a fine metal mesh cone shaped coffee filter, or sometimes a nylon mesh reusable coffee basket, to drain whey from yogurt to make greek style yogurt. It would work great for cottage cheese, as well. No paper towel shreds, no washing messy cheese cloth. I place the filled basket in the top of an empty quart container from cottage cheese or yogurt. I lay the lid across the top so it doesn't dry out. The whey drains into the container. I usually start these draining in the evening, so it'll be ready in the morning. If you have pets, they love the whey you drain off.

I let it sit in the container and use it the next day. I bought mine off of Amazon. I’d send you a picture of it but I don’t know how to that. Love your videos.
Love your videos. Psyllium husk and coconut flour absorb a lot of moisture, that may explain why your batter was too thick. Have you considered not straining your cottage cheese and blend them with eggs in a blender?
Oh day again it’s Janet from Kentucky. Do y’all have a dollar tree in Florida? If you do you can get these packets called true lemon they’re dehydrated they say it’s as one slice of lemon but technically it’s almost like a half a lemon it’s really tired you can keep them on hand there’s 12 to a container for $1.25. You can’t beat that. Just give you a heads up on that.
if you have time to prepare...coffee filters work well in straining greek yogurt and cottage cheese...only you need to let it strain in the fridge for at least a few hours, overnight works very well. Just make sure you have it suspended in a bowl to strain so it's not sitting in the drippings. Easy to use, easy to clean, only it takes time to strain. Perfect for homemade tzaziki.
I tried this recipe without straining the cottage cheese (by the way this is needed because usually they add a ton of gums to basically sell you water) and adding 1 teaspoon of gluten and increasing the coconut flour to 1.5 tablespoons. Almost good but still wet inside when golden outside. I found that if you put 60 g/2 oz of the dough in a small bowl, microwave it for 60 sec (700W microwave) THEN put it on a griddle, the result is surprisingly good. If you omit flavors, sweeteners and add more salt, this dough could be used for pizza.
there is a press people use to make humus and soy cubes and stuff that may work for pressing the moisture out of the cottage cheese. it is primarily used to press the moisture out of beans, chickpeas and other stuff like that after they boil it to make tofu

Ya! I've got all the stuff, so we are having PANCAKES in the morning! Thanks for doing the hard work and figuring all this out! I kinda think I would enjoy you trying to dry the cot cos with a salad spinner, I'll 2nd the vote for that video 😂
Instead of laying the cottage cheese on a paper towel, try laying it on a piece of wax or parchment paper, might make it easier to get up. You could use a spatula maybe. Well, I love you videos and I think it's kinda neat that you use Chat GPT
You can use a cheese cloth or coffee filter or a paper towel. Line one of these in a strainer and put the strainer over a bowl. It may take a few minutes to strain but you could put paper lined strainer over a bowl and put it in the fridge the night before.
A jelly strainer bag would help a lot! It's a nylon mesh, handy for all kinds of food draining - zuchinni, cucumbers. Thanks for the recipe, really enjoying your videos!

If you do you can get these packets called true lemon they’re dehydrated they say it’s as one slice of lemon but technically it’s almost like a half a lemon it’s really tired you can keep them on hand there’s 12 to a container for $1.25. You can’t beat that. Just give you a heads up on that.
Love the yellow apron, dude I want one.
Dave. This was the first time I've seen your videos. You are funny and informative in a weird way. 👍
There are cloth bags that are used for straining plant based milks. One of those might work.
if you have time to prepare...coffee filters work well in straining greek yogurt and cottage cheese...only you need to let it strain in the fridge for at least a few hours, overnight works very well. Just make sure you have it suspended in a bowl to strain so it's not sitting in the drippings. Easy to use, easy to clean, only it takes time to strain. Perfect for homemade tzaziki.
I suggest using monk fruit as sweetener.
Great video!
1:29 cheese cloth is great. Also a coffee filter
Those look great, I will try for sure but will dry curd cottage cheese so no need to strain
Thanks for sharing and making such fun videos
there is a press people use to make humus and soy cubes and stuff that may work for pressing the moisture out of the cottage cheese. it is primarily used to press the moisture out of beans, chickpeas and other stuff like that after they boil it to make tofu
Hi Dave! 👋🐈 Most Excellent! I just had to add you to my select YT list of Keto... whatevers'. You are a HOOT! 😳🐈
Just came across your channel about 20 mins ago. I think you have a great personality, you are fun and i learned how to make some good pancakes. I will def try these. Cottage cheese is all the rage recently....keep being you.
Ya! I've got all the stuff, so we are having PANCAKES in the morning! Thanks for doing the hard work and figuring all this out! I kinda think I would enjoy you trying to dry the cot cos with a salad spinner, I'll 2nd the vote for that video 😂
You are Absolutely aDORable. Planning on making these love-filled pancakes with my true love. Thank you!!!!!!!!!
Thanks! Enjoy
❤ I just wanted to say I LOVE your True- Life-Approach to the things you cook/bake.
" Maybe it'll turn out? - or - Maybe it won't?" 😂 Sounds like My daily life in the kitchen!
Just had to share the love for your channel, and wanted to help the algorithm. ❤ Keep doing what you're doing! I enjoy and learn from the successes and occasional fails.
Keep on keepin on on Dave 👍
Stumbled across u 2 days ago while doing my “ recipe idea research (watch a bunch of different popular channels, read a few recipes, make my own version with what’s available easy sourcing and wing it.
Just like you n chachi.
Great job keep it up!
I like that your using AI to create recipes. Its different. Its does get tired to watch so many doing the same recipes. Keep it going!
Butter is our friend 😊. The almond milk is changing the cellular structure. Which you found out the hard way 😬. I love your videos 😊
I just made these. Delicious! I didn’t have whey protein so I skipped it. Thank you!
I just made these and they are so delicious! I did make some mistakes so hopefully this helps others. My tummy can’t handle erythritol so I had to use allulose which is not ideal because it burns so easily. I cooked these at way too high of a temperature and they kinda burned. However they were still so good. I love the cinnamon taste. I will definitely make them again.
I messaged you in another video and suggested you use a wire strainer with a coffee filter to drain the cottage cheese. You can also use cheese cloth in a wire mesh strainer to drain in.
I always add vanilla,Maple and butter extract to my pancake and French toast batter. So good😊
