I have a "breading" I use with the pork rind panko. 1 cup panko, 1/2 cup pre grated parm cheese and 1 Tbsp of beef gelatin powder. Season to taste. The beef gelatin seems to hold the breading on whatever you're coating after cooking.

Maybe take the cottage cheese/mozzarella mix press it into a silicone baking mold and place the tray in the freezer to get the mixture to firm up. Then you could coat and fry!

Dave, I love these ideas. I'm searching for these very types of things right now. I have some issues that currently restrict what I can eat. What I was wondering, what about these, but including veggies some how? That's where I'm lacking and ironically craving.
By the way, love the ai. Because of finding you, I have started using it to create or alter recipes. You can alter the recipe. Have it check it. For example. I have a nut allergy. So, if I sub coconut flour in, I know the liquids need to be adjusted. The other day, it told me as much in our little discussion. But when it went to rewrite it, it neglected to change the liquids. So I pointed it out and it did.
I've learned a lot from it. I've learned from you. Thank you for the time you spend making these videos.

Buy a strawberry huller. I’ve never used mine to hull strawberries, but it is GREAT to remove seeds and membrane from jalapeños (or any kind of pepper), and would work just as well for removing seeds from pickles (cucumbers) and zucchini, as well.

We aren't on the metric system😂 you don't need to talk in grams. Half of us in the US, especially down here in the South, still measure a pinch, a dash, a little in the palm of our hand, a smidgen, a spoon, a tad......we eyeball it. And Southern food is BOMB. So cook on, bro!

    • @bjrgstre-mauger5398

I am a norwegian watching from Australia...both metric countries. We use cups and spoons but grams would be really appreciated instead of ounces etc. Sometimes I have to google multiple times to find the metric version in a recipe 😂 I think the U.S is the only country not on metric

Hi Dave! Love your presentation and humble delivery. Just wanted to let you and your followers know about differences in cottage cheese. Daisy "CottageCheese" is not cottage cheese. It is not curds, look closely at it and you will see it is cut into tiny squares. It is some kind of overly processed mixture that is cut to resemble cottage cheese. If you buy a carton of Knudsen cottage cheese you can easily see the difference.

So thank you for considering metric 😊 Just a thpught, is America the only country not on metric? Are there other countries?

Something I didn't think about for years was to use one hand to dip in wet ingredients and the other to dip food in the dry ingredients.
Then you don't have the clumpy hands.
Now I just use forks or tongs. Not sure why it started bothering me as I've gotten older to have stuff on my hands in the kitchen.
    I mean, I garden without gloves 😂
My nephew loves everything pickle. I may have to try those for our next cookout!
