The winner of the Golden Globe, Kirsten, used a version of that, Twin Sails. Downwind. Off the same spot. She was very fast but broke one of the poles in the southern Pacific eventually. Twins are very similar to what you are doing, minor differences. VERY EFFICIENT .

Next time you go shopping look for those things that adhere to the bottom of pots and pans that prevent plates etc, from sliding like that. The also detach for cleaning the plates and pots and are cleanable for additonal usages.
The silicone mats? Someone else recommended those as well. I will keep an eye out whenever we are able to get to a proper store. Thanks!

So I purchased some silicone baking sheet liners… we use them on our sailboat but not for baking. They make great placemats or anti-slip pad for just about anything

All good here in OBX, not sure about Annapolis this year, we have been for the last 5-6 years and now that we are in North Carolina, it would be a serious long weekend for us. The Pacific is a water desert. Chances of seeing another boat out there are small, and that is a long trip filled with who knows what.
Yes, we went a very long time without seeing another boat on our passage! Really puts into perspective how big the Pacific is!

Put a lead block off the boom end, put the boom outboard, sheet your genoa to that. Same same. Easier, and better set without the rigging bit. Love your sailing though, some envy.
Not having wind was a bummer but sometimes it's nice to cruise along in such flat seas! :)

Not sure how I managed to make those sandwiches without 🤢 guess my sea legs were working! If you have time, google Isla Coronados rattlesnakes. Lots of info about them. So wild!

As a fellow Floridian, it’s nice to see your appreciation of the beauty rattlers have. Here in NWFL we have many! I’m not a huge snake fan, but rattlers are not very aggressive and are very beautiful.
We aren't huge snake fans either but we try to appreciate all things! This dude's pattern was pretty spectacular.
Noticed that you have a rolller furling boon. How is that working out?
Hey William! It has its pros and cons. It probably took us two years to really get it figured out and we are still dialing it in. Adjusting our boom angle correctly has certainly helped.
It sounded like you mentioned Isla Coronado but that is on the Pacific Ocean side of Baja California and not in the Sea of Cortez
There is an Isla Coronados in the Sea of Cortez as well.

The Americas, where we have evolved warning rattles on our venomous snakes! Why doesn’t everyone else do that?! It seems so obvious.
