The legs should have another joint behind the back knee armor you pointed out that can move out of the way. I’m not sure how much more bend you can get out of it because the new armor is much bulkier than the original, but I think it’s still worth trying out

I wonder, is it possible to make the Qan't combined sword using the gray spare parts

No, I don't believe it is. You don't have the shield pieces that the blade parts fit into and the handle on the sword is different.

so far I've only found the RX-78-2 American type and a Helios at my local Target.

They had several of the rx-78 American and they only had one of the command and one of the blazing, so I grabbed them.

I found a few HG and RG and the American EG at my target but I found this command qan[t] at a hobby town store

A weird thing happened with my kit. It came with the wrong color parts for what was supposed to be mustard yellow it was flesh colored instead. Runner E2. Has that ever happened or been reported to have happened before?

No, I have never had this happen to me before, nor have I heard of it. I will have to ask some of my friends, but I would have to think this is very rare.

Did you panel line any of the parts?

No panel lining. I only apply stickers and that is only sometimes when it comes to a review.

I just got lucky. It was the only one they had at my target. Might have pushed a few people over to get it. 😉
