Honestly speaking, most of the 00 kits from season 2 onwards are some of the best older Gunpla kits you could get. The 00 Raiser + GN Sword 3/Seven Sword + G to this day are some absolutely awesome kits to get. Their biggest problem is absolutely the upper v-fins being in white and needing stickers. That's it. Literally everything else about them is awesome.
The HG 00 kits from season 2 kinda feel like the transitionary kits that separate the old HG kits to the new HG kits. They pretty much have articulation comparable to modern HGs but they still have the problems of the old ones like seam lines and color inaacuracies. That being said I still think that those kits still hold up to this day.
As an owner of this kit, I have to say: it’s amazing. Easily one of, if not the best HG I currently own. It was an enjoyable build, and it’s just so much fun to play around with! There are two parts here that I might disagree with: the waist, and front skirt. I agree that they’re not the best, but I feel the review didn’t do the best job at showing that, it’s really not as bad as it seems. There is a ball joint in the midsection of the torso, and if you pull it up a bit, you get a good ab crunch and arch, side to side- all of that. The front skirting isn’t ideal, but I find that if you don’t position the other leg too extremely, moving the skirt armor to the side can get it out of the way enough without looking ugly or out of place. Good review, either way!
I usually wait to see reviews before picking up newer kits, but when a local place got this one in, I scooped it up immediately based on the look alone. Was glad I did as it's easily one of my favourite High Grades. Between the colours, the weapons, and the general unique look of the thing, it's just so different compared to most typical Gundam designs.
8:26 Actually the cannon mounted on the shield is a beam weapon because in the first episode of Gundam breaker battlougue the command qan t shoot at Gundam barbaric with the cannon and the mace (wich has anti beam coating ) deflect the beam.
I always thought the quanta's green blades were made out of beam saber plastic. Feels similar to the HG 00 Raiser + GN Sword III's large pinks effect parts, which are definitely made of beam saber plastic.
i cant speak for the HG quanta, but neither the MG nor RG quanta use anything similiar to Beamsaber plastic for the Green condenser parts(which the blades are also part of) Nor do any of the HG 00 kits for their green translcent plastic parts
The best way I can describe the aesthetic feel of this kit, is to say this is what I feel the 00 quanta would look like if it were a mass production UC Mobile suit. All in all, this kit is amazingly good looking if you like something that feels like a war machine.
3:00 I agree that more SD designs should get the HG/MG treatment. We got the Musha Gundam and Musha Mk 2 as MGs but nobody else. I'm still salty there's been no MG Knight Gundam to finish the Dynasty Warriors trio. So many times awesome designs are wasted on cheap-ass chibi kits.

I adore this kit. It's a great take on the Quanta and I really hope we get more of these SD HG mashups. I wonder how well it would look as a kitbash with the p-ban HG Zabanya
This is easily one of my favorite HG’s I’ve ever built and hands down my favorite kit from GB Battologue. My only suggestion with this kit is to use a toothpick to paint the inside of the head camera lenses gold (metal conversion marker), since it makes the head pop even more and looks just like it does on the box. 12/10 would recommend this kit, it’s such a unique take on my favorite Gundam, and shows just how well that old 2010 Qan [T] kit still holds up

Honestly I have a three way “whatever you rank either of these it would be hard to argue.” Perfect strike freedom Livelance, command qant. Mine are that order personally.
ok so I have a fun story about this design. In GB3, I was used to play custom 00 Suits only, and I always brought the Command Gundam version of Robota. When Battlogue dropped and I saw Takuma, GB3's protagonist, use a 00 Suit, and not only that, a Command Gundam version of the Qan[T] i was actually really happy. I'm still waiting for this kit to arrive, but where I live it should come out in March
seeing that this is based on an SD-original design makes me yearn for the day they make a HG Captain Gundam. Wing may have been the show that introduced Gundam to the west, but seeing reruns of the crappy dub of SD Gundam Force as a kid put the idea of these cool anime robots in my head before I even knew what exactly they where.
00 Command Quan[T] was the first gundam kit i found in target when bandai release it in the U.S. Since then I've collected all the main six battlogue kits
So I actually ended up getting 3 of these kits, I built one just normal standard stuff, panel lining then top coat, my wife saw it and wanted to built it too, while she was building it I came up with the idea for custom build mash up with this Star Wars ship model I had so I ended up mashing those together to build a space pack variant as well, super awesome kit imo
The Qan was my 3rd kit and second custom done with airbrush with black/blue metallic candy on some parts. It was a solid kit. Especially kitbashed with a silver amazing strike freedom.
I guess here is another kit to add to my backlog. I like well armored Gundams, and this hits a good spot - a bit on the Tactical Surface Fighter from Muv Luv side, I dare say? The shoulder armor design really reminded me of those. I really like the rifle, chunky but realistic, and the bayonet is something I'd like to see more often on Gundams. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the head - but since you can build a full 00 head with the leftover parts, that's quickly solved too!
Don't everybody forget that band I took some SD Gundam elements and put it in the master graid Gundam Alex by giving it that Master Grade equivalent of SD Gundam head armor, so that means they're doing it for the master grade to.
I airbrushed my Command Qan[T] with a silver plated gundam marker only to the parts like the sword, combat knives and the blade below his rifle and it looked amazing. It almost looked like the RG Exia’s GN sword rifle.
Paint the light green to white, paint the orange to red, paint the yellow ankle armor to white or dark green and paint the grey feet to dark green and now you have a Lockon Stratos Gundam 00 Quant!!!
I just get the crazy idea about collect the other Gundam 00 kit with militaristic trait to get it together along with command qant. 👀 Together we get the military team!! My aim for now probably goes to strike gnx and dynames 👀
Love it my favorite along side the urban ground combat gundam gives off a G.I. vibe i was kind of getting sick of beam sabers and beam guns but less flashy design then the IBO models.
When I built mine I thought it really had a Gundam meets Boba Fett look to it. I have been wanting to do a little custom stuff to it like a cape and some tassels and things to make it really come across that way but have not done it yet. But I really do like this model on of my faves.
it's function reminds me of GN-X Superbia. One of the only GN Drives that is dedicated Ground/Amphibious. Although from the series, Command Qant can do atmospheric flight or hover.
I'm not gonna lie, you convinced me. I was gonna get the Perfect Strike Freedom next but I think I'll be going with this one. The Helios is still my favorite of them all though, such a good kit.
Kentaro Mahara is the single WORST VILLAIN IN ALL OF GUNDAM When your ass gets kicked fair and square, but you say screw it. Imma screw with every person at this tournament so he can TOTALLY NOT kick my ass again.
A little bit of goof though, there are two points of articulation in the elbow, not that you missed anything on its range of motion, but at the very moment you mentionned it in the video, the elbow's condenser was litteraly in the folded position ;) Anything else, the review was awesome x)
I own the same kit as you do, except I used a few gundam markers for, especially the metallic silver marker for the blades, it worked out pretty good when I did that, I also use the metallic gold marker for the middle forehead section between the V fin, since there were no stickers for it, and I panel lined the pieces too.
I just finished this kit and I gotta say, I should have panel lined as I assembled each part, because once it’s all together some spots are harder to get at (if at all) than others. As for the sword soft plastic taking paint, it took the Mr. Clear Matte with no issue. In fact, with some panel lining and Mr Clear, this extremely bulky and militaristic build style and coloration looks great with just a nice top coat. I will also admit as some have mentioned, the front skirt is just a ball and socket set up and flimsy on its own, however, take some clear nail polish to the ball and add a few layers and it tightens right up. All in all one of my favorite HG kits, in both style and design.
ok so just a side note about the rubbery plastic that is used for the blades; I recently got the HG 00 Quan[t] bc i thought that the clear parts were hard plastic and i was planning on using them on the Command Quan[t], but it turns out that the standard hg 00 Quan[t] has the same rubbery plastic for the blades as well.
I was kinda looking forward to hearing what you were going to say about the spare parts. I built what I believe is a 00 Qan[T] head in the kits color scheme, but I have no idea what the other spare parts are

The HG OO is one of the best high grade I have ever built its simple has great articulation and and absolutely bulletproof

QuanT is one of my all time favourite kits and to be fair, Bandai ussually treat this model pretty nice. HG,RG and MG are pretty good kits
The only thing missing now for 00 Qnta is a PG version or MG Extreme, I'll take anything

Bought this one today. Started with Heavyarms and love the heavily, er, armed kits... excited to build it.

I have the SD version of this, and I absolutely love it. The rocket launcher is on the other side though. And it also has a eye scouter thing.

A little bit of gray gundam marker does a good job hiding the nub marks as well for the dark green parts

I painted the blade parts with a Liquid Chome marker with no issues. Came out looking great
Now that's a cool kit, I was waiting for a Gundam that has a military vibe and now I can see it as my favorite kit.

I got this at my local gunpla shop and it was "on sale" for 20 bucks. I got it because; green and different.
I got this Kit not too long ago and it was a really nice build.
