Chapter 5 covers the Koopa Invasion of Dinosaur Land and other topics such as Wario's rise to villainy, Tatanga's invasion of Sarasaland, and the Smithy's Invasion of the Mushroom Kingdom.

Diddy is actually not DK's nephew. Even in the quote you use at 3:00, the very next word is "wannabe." Diddy is DK's nephew wannabe, meaning he acts like DK's nephew, but they're actually unrelated. This is a common misconception.
After you're done with the Mario timeline can you do one for Zelda or Sonic next please
Idk, I've always thought that was the general consensus. When he's referred to as DK's nephew wannabe, I've always interpreted that as he's his nephew, and he wants to be like DK. Or he wants to be a hero, or someone important. Just a wannabe in general. Wanting to be someone's nephew is oddly specific and strange.

I would argue that Mr. Game-&-Watch is canon to the Marioverse, and it's just a question of WHAT he is. Note that WarioLand 4's Princess Shokora takes a similar form during that game's events, demonstrating plausibility.

Yoshi's aren't necessarily genderless since the main Yoshi uses he/him terms thus giving himself a gender.
I think Mario Tennis has a time traveled DK Jr. particularly because of the presence of DK III and Baby Mario.
SMB2USA is the first game where we see the Toad that is Princess' closest advisor and Mario's friend.
Birdo is female.
Her nickname isn't Peach.
Waluigi isn't really Wario's friend.
Games like Mario Superstar Baseball acknowledged they are there because of time travel.
The weird hypothesis you have there is not canon in any way.
Btw Mario & Wario takes place on Dinosaur Land and the Mushroom Kingdom.
Actually they are gorillas even Pauline refers to DK Snr. as such.
The thing is they a gorillas in a high fantasy world that have their own language and are smart enough to operate go-karts, thus not abiding by our world's rules.
Just like how Koopas are turtles, Yoshis are dinosaurs, Piranha Plants are Flowers, and Goombas are Mushrooms.

Problem is SMB2USA takes place earlier on and isn't just a dream.
So...
In the manual it is established that Mario first has a dream which takes him to a dream world called Subcon whose residents need his help defeating King Wart. The next day Mario tells his friends about the dream he had. Later on they eventually find a cave with stairs inside that lead to a door to Subcon.
BSSMUSA establishes Mario and friends remember the events of SMB2USA as a weird dream and question is it actually happened or not. A question that would be answered by the King of Subcon asking for their help again.
Birdo in a game in one of her songs references the events of SMB2USA.
A random Toad apparently recalls the events of SMB2USA.
The producer of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker made a post on Miiverse stating that Captain Toad is not the main Toad we all know.
They mention that the main Toad they are referring to is the one that we play as in games such as Super Mario Bros 2 USA, and Wario's Woods.
_"By the way, Captain Toad is actually not the same Toad as the Toad who's playable in games like Super Mario Bros. 2 and Wario's Woods."_
But the most major one is in Superstar Baseball's description of Shy Guys of this game.
_"Shy Guys used to serve an evil king named Wart."_
Yeah, I think the timeline was more interesting to try to put together without the use of time travel. I only mention time travel when it is explicitly stated to have happened. I think time travel can be used to explain a lot of supposed paradoxes, but it was more fun to try not to use it, and I think it makes sense the way its been laid out. We don't really know what the requirements are to sue time travel in the Mario universe. It could require large amounts of energy, or only be available in certain instances. Since DK Jr is much younger than the DK in Mario Tennis, I assume the DK to be his father. Donkey Kong Sr.
At the end of the Super Mario Bros. 2 in Super Mario All Stars it shows the events of the game being in a dream bubble. I think it's reasonable to consider BS Super Mario USA as a reoccurring dream since it also takes place in the dream world.
@@prizm9515 As stated before BSMUSA apparently claims that the Mario, Peach, Luigi, and Toad remember the events of SMB2USA. implying it's not just a Dream.
We know dreams are literal in the Mario world see Dream Team and Mario Party 5.
You also, still run into the problem of the in-game mention that the Shy Guys from Superstar Baseball are the same ones that worked for King Wart.
Well given the games like Superstar Baseball clarify they are there because of time travel is makes more sense to say this is meant to be inferred for all the other games.
It would be like saying Mario is not a plumber because this specific game didn't say he was a plumber even though several other games confirm he is a plumber.
Plus when it comes to lore, canon, and timeline of the Canon of Mario Tales. It's best to not use outright disproven "theories" in it because it can be very misleading to viewers and leave them with a misconception akin to Mario breaks bricks therefore he is killing Toads.
This is also a thing written about in game not in some dev interview or even manual, in game. This is something a sports game outright states happens for this event and thus can be inferred for the other sports games.
See the last thing for the DK Jr. thing.
I believe if they wanted us to believe this was the original Donkey Kong they would have written out somewhere in a manual that they are the DK from the arcade game and not DKC. In addition to the fact that they would have a design that fits their Donkey Kong 94 or Game & Watch Design.
