I also cover the pixel uprising, Blumier's backstory, the four heros sealing away the Shadow Queen and more.
Ya know, I never actually saw Rosalina as someone from old history. I thought Galaxy’s ending where she talks about cycles was implying that she was simply from a different cycle of the universe and she goes home every hundred years to see how the planet changes due to that cycle. That’s what I thought Galaxy’s ending was. The cycle resetting prematurely due to Bowser’s accidental black hole and the Luma’s big bang. And also why it showed so many of the characters you met across the different planets now on the same planet. Because that’s where they were now in the new cycle. But honestly your interpretation is probably closer to what they had in mind while writing. Kinda ruins my headcanon about Rosalina though. (I’m sure you know the one)😂
True but I felt it was reasonable to assume for several of the games. It also helped me to place a game in the timeline relative to everything else if the only information given about its placement in the timeline is that it took X amount of time before or after another game. For example Donkey Kong 64 takes place a few years after Donkey Kong Country 2 as stated in the instruction manual. Without the assumption that most games take place on their release date, it would be difficult to determine what exactly takes place between the two games outside of the Donkey Kong series. That was my experience at least when trying to put this all together.
I believe there is supplemental canon that states that it takes place in its own continuity, but I chose not to include any supplemental canon because it became too contradictory to include. I felt that I had to make very subjective decisions as to what was canon and what was non canon. For that reason I decided to exclude all of it. But that's my take on things.
How is Mario born in the 40s? I thought he would have been born in the 60s since he was said to be 25 years old in Super Mario Brothers, which takes place in 1985. That would mean that Mario, Peach, & Bowser are in their 40s in the original game. Also, Mario being born in the 60s would line up better with him "retiring" from plumbing in Mario Odyssey at the age of 57 as opposed to the age of 77.
@@targettoad691 The idea that Mario is 25 years old comes from what I would consider supplemental canon. For the purpose of this timeline I only used information found in the games and their instruction manuals. Why are you counting the rabbids... Didn't they go into like a mario poster or something. Mario is probably fictional to the rabbids and the world in the crossover was created by the fusing machine
My interpretation of the first cut scene of Mario plus Rabbids Kingdom Battle is that the time washing machine sent the rabbids to the Mushroom Kingdom. Since the game takes place in the Mushroom Kingdom, I believe it to be more reasonable to assume that it sent them there, than it is to assume it has the power to create an entire new universe. It's never stated anywhere in the game that the timewashing machine sent them to a different universe. But that's just my interpretation of things.
I have an answer to it's canonicity. In the GamesHub interview titled How Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope forges its own destiny, it is established that Mario + Rabbids is a separate canon. _"While the game is also inspired by elements of Super Mario Galaxy, Soliani made clear that Sparks of Hope is all about exploring the unique Mario + Rabbids universe in depth - a realm filled with colour, beauty, and intrigue, but one that is separate from the main ‘canon’ of Mario tales."_ Also, side note they continuities wouldn't merge because if I am correct all the Lumas are now hybrids in the Rabbidsverse and there is a lack of well Rabbids in all the other games. Btw prizm is choosing not to include things like dev interviews.
I can't believe it. Mario's age was supposedly one of Nintendo's biggest secrets, and it was nailed down so swiftly by two pieces of E. Gadd lore alone.

_"While the game is also inspired by elements of Super Mario Galaxy, Soliani made clear that Sparks of Hope is all about exploring the unique Mario + Rabbids universe in depth - a realm filled with colour, beauty, and intrigue, but one that is separate from the main ‘canon’ of Mario tales."_
Also, side note they continuities wouldn't merge because if I am correct all the Lumas are now hybrids in the Rabbidsverse and there is a lack of well Rabbids in all the other games.
Btw prizm is choosing not to include things like dev interviews.
