      I'm pretty certain that the RWD models are "artificially" limited and have the hardware to be significantly faster, but they want that performance differential to the other trims.

    I was super skeptical of EV’a before getting this exact model 3. Honestly I’ve found the 270 miles more than enough for driving around. The car is plenty quick in my opinion, I almost wouldn’t want a performance to avoid the headaches and nausea

    LFP has a flat voltage curve and maintains the same voltage across almost the entire battery state of charge except at the very bottom, so it should have the same performance until very, very low state of charge.

    I have a 2024 M3 rwd lfp. When I first bought it I drove it standard mode all the time, I don’t need more! Then discovered “chill” mode. Chill mode feels great too! I only switch to standard mode for freeway driving. After 1000 miles I still don’t desire more.

    Tesla massages the 0-60 times for sure to not to cannibalize sales of performance cars. My 2024 M3P did 0-60 in 2.82 seconds with 1 foot rollout on my first try with dragy up a slight incline :-) This is about 1/2 second faster than my 2022 M3P so huge improvement.

    We got the LFP and the tax rebate so it was smart choice at the time. Now with the RWD LR with the usa built pack its the one to get. 90 miles more range vs the lfp.

    Useful information, good video. Just fyi, if you want more "scientific" numbers, your tires should be at ambient temperature and inflated to the door sticker numbers. From your consistency, I suspect that the acceleration is software limited to give that number.

      Those 2021 and earlier rwd m3s all had lighter nmc pack's though. The 2019-2021 sr m3s with 52-55kwh packs weighed just 3,540#
      The sr lfp rwd now weighs over 3,800# based on other Chinese lfp powered evs perf, it isn't the cells limiting the sr model 3&Y.

    2 Questions: Why isn't there a dual motor LFP? Does the health of LFP batteries slowly decline?

    • @alphasaur
      @alphasaur Місяць тому +1

      LFP is the budget battery. That's not to say it's "worse". It has benefits too. It's more resilient to charge cycles and theoretically has a far longer life than NCM batteries. It's also far less volatile and less likely to combust (though risk of combustion of NCM batteries is really low too.) It also is a more "ethical" battery. Cons would be it is heavier KWH vs KWH of an NCM battery, makes less power, voltage curve is much smaller so BMS needs to work harder. Worse in colder weather too.

    • @rkgsd
      @rkgsd Місяць тому +1

      @@alphasaur The game changer will be solid state batteries. BYD appears set to reveal it first. CATL, Panasonic and Toyota are also coming.

I grew to a 5 figure mark with my portfolio having exposure to different areas of the market, including small and large-caps of the ETF index, blue chip stocks, coins, grade bonds and alternatives like cryptocurrency markets, as this helps manage the overall risk on my portfolio managed by my FA..
