    Went with the Supersoft after watching another one of WTP's videos comparing the soft 2 peice balls (Supersoft, Tru Feel, Speedsoft and Soft Feel). This is the first time I bought balls aside from the Walmart Nitros that I found were too firm for my skill level/swing speed after doing some research.
    The lower spin helps me quite a bit off the tee. I was a horrendous slicer, to the point I would only play a 3w off the tee box for months; but eventually managed to turn it into a strong fade (medium fade at best). This ball turned that into mostly mild fades, with a medium fade being a "bad" hit; definitely finding more fairways.
    I was concerned with the lower spin around the greens, but as the video suggests, I found the higher launch to pretty much cancel it out. Also, I naturally tend to catch the ball a bit lower in the club face (more of a sweeper than a divot taker), so the higher launch really helped with that too.
    One thing I've found that arguably may have made the biggest difference is the instilled confidence these types of balls give newer golfers. One of my biggest issues was trying to swing too hard, and this style ball almost immediately made me relax in knowing I can swing at a comfortable speed for me, and get the ball up and moving.
    I may try a few of the other brands in this category just to see what happens, but on the other hand why mess with success.
    So for my fellow lower swing speed deck sweepers out there, this ball is definitely worth a try. Good luck out there fellas!

      Hi VaneOfTheRanger! Thank you for such a brilliant comment! This is one of my favourite things about starting the channel - creating a community of golfers who join in the conversation and share their own experiences! As a result I've pinned your comment to the top of the video so other golfers can see it and hopefully it helps them! Thanks for your kind words and support too! All the best!

      Wow, that is really cool and very much appreciated sir!
      I realized I forgot to thank you as well. This type of data-driven analysis saved me - and I'm sure many others - quite a bit of time and money by avoiding the trial and error route.
      You have a great channel and I look forward to more great content! Take care buddy.

    I enjoy the Supersoft. Good ball for seniors and you can buy them for about 25 bucks per dozen , less when on sale. They perform pretty well for me. I play about 165 rounds per year. Slower swing speed players will love them.

    I have a very average swing speed and I have heard a softer ball can give you better compression. I switched to the SuperSoft last year and I am very happy with the distance I get with it and height I get with this ball.

    Luke - Have you ever tried the SLDR-S driver in 11 or 12 degree? I'm 101-102 mph swing and I usually play a Ping G15 or G20 driver for length & forgiveness, but I have a SLDR-S in 11 degree that hits the longest drives by far. But its not very forgiving so you need to be on the sweet spot and have a neutral swing path. I see a difference of 15 yards carry vs my Ping drivers on good swings (255 vs 240) and occasionally get 265-270 yards carry. No other driver I've tried gets close to this, even newer drivers I've demoed.

      Hi Tom! Sadly I haven't but that does sound AWESOME! I certainly believe that there is no such thing as a perfect club but there is a perfect club for you and if that's the one then why change for something newer? All the best!

    I love playing the supersoft for every reason this data shows. It’s straight off the tee, the low spin with the irons can usually cancel out the driver distances, and I love the soft feel the ball gives. Overall, I’m playing the same total distance over 2 shots, and I save lots of money while playing. After a month of tests with a ProV1, I actually think I would play this ball over the ProV1 at the moment at the same price.

      @weekendtourpro  6 місяців тому +1

      Hi Duvox! Thanks for watching and for sharing your own experiences with the ball! I get what you mean, it all balances out in the end and if you prefer the feel then it’s a brilliant price point! 👍🏼

    Currently playing the Supersoft Max. Wonder if performance is the same as the regular supersoft? Have you tested the Max version?

    • @weekendtourpro
      @weekendtourpro  6 днів тому +2

      Hi Dirk! I’ve not tried the Max version I’m afraid however I’ve heard good things and it does seem to have a bit of a cult following with slower swing speed players, so if that’s you and you like it then I wouldn’t suggest changing! However I think at the price point of the regular version it hopefully won’t be too costly if you wanted to give the regular ball a try and compare the performance for yourself perhaps? Thanks for watching! 👍🏼

      Hi Mike! Thanks for watching and for your kind comments! I’m next in the Custom Fitting Studio on 18 Feb and plan to test both those new irons so hopefully they’ll both be on the channel by the end of the month - a little delay (sorry!) but where this is something I do part time I only have limited access to the places I film at! 21:39 Driver swing speed was 1 mph slower on the supersoft, so that makes them equal

    • @weekendtourpro
      @weekendtourpro  9 місяців тому +2

      Hi HB! Thanks for watching! I think I touch on this at 18:38! Whilst there was a 0.7mph difference in Clubhead Speed that wouldn’t equate to 3.6mph difference in Ball Speed as the maximum Smash Factor you can have is 1.5x so that’s a 1.0-1.1mph difference. Obviously as the handicap golfer it could be that I just struck that batch of shots worse but it’s quite a large data set with both balls so I think it’s a fair conclusion. However it’s also quite marginal so definitely not a criticism of the Supersoft! Thanks so much for watching and for your comment! 👍🏼

The plan is to review it vs SuperSoft as a few people have asked that question! I’ve just been incredibly busy and ball reviews take me 2 hours to film where I try to capture a large data set to make the videos data driven! Hopefully I’ll get round to it soon and give everyone requesting it the answers! 👍🏼

    I think for the price difference, the Callaway is a good ball . Gain on some shots,lose a bit on others.

    • @weekendtourpro
      @weekendtourpro  11 місяців тому +2

      100% agree John! I don’t think it’s a bad ball at all especially at the price point and hopefully that came across in my conclusion! I think my point was more to call out that Callaway branding it as ‘super long’ made me think I was going to get half a club longer through the bag and I think (but may be wrong!) that most others would interpret the marketing that way too! But I agree if you take the marketing to one side and just judge performance vs price it’s a great ball and I get why so many people love it! Have a great weekend! 👍🏼

    • @weekendtourpro
      @weekendtourpro  11 місяців тому +1

      I think the one thing I’ve learnt is you really have to commit to it! Doing it for 8 weeks, seeing the 2-3mph gains and then stopping, you just lose it again so that’s the (totally understandable) highly frustrating thing about it! It’s an ongoing commitment so I hear you! I’ve been working on my general fitness a lot lately (running, started yoga and a fitness class) so that’s taking up a bit of time but I’m hoping there will be some benefits to my golf come the summer!

      Hi Carolan! Was it the Chrome Soft or the Supersoft? Either way I’m really shocked and surprised by that! Callaway invested millions in new ball plants a few years ago to massively improve their quality! Were they brand new and bought from an official supplier?
