I'm a T2 diabetic and 50 pounds over my ideal weight, so I took charge of my diet and started a Keto-friendly lifestyle about 6 weeks ago. Since then I must have watched a hundred YT videos about Keto-friendly recipes and what is good for me and which is bad.
Some of it has been confusing but most of it has been educational.
Thank you for your efforts to help people like me, who miss sweets, bread, and pasta.
I no longer miss the things that I used to crave because their substitutes are just as delicious!
I am eating better than ever with the plus benefit of controlling my T2 diabetes and losing weight too!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Myra. I was craving peanut butter cookies. These were so yummy, especially after they cooled & got nice & chewy. I used Choc Zeros hot fudge sauce as a frosting on them. Double Yum. I used organic Santa Cruz crunchy peanut butter & the Choc Zero maple syrup. They also have a lot of other syrups, like caramel, that are great as well. Thanks so much for all you tasty recipes. I don't know how you do it, but you do it all well. Smile

My three ingredient PB cookies are easy, too. One cup PB, one egg, one-half cup granulated sweetener (I’ve used allulose but I use coconut palm sugar for my family). I’m going to have to try this even simpler recipe for sure!
As always, you are so helpful! And I love your hair like this! It really shows off your lovely face. I wore my hair like that a lot as a child because my mother wouldn’t let me cut it. 😅 I called it Chrissy pigtails. (Showing my age, if you get the reference.)

    • @monstermcboo7282
      @monstermcboo7282 2 роки тому +4

350° for about ten minutes. Adjust for convection. I’ve had them cook in eight minutes with super thick PB, and it’s taken twelve or so minutes with thinner almond butter. I let them cool about five minutes or more on the pan before moving to the cooling rack so they don’t fall apart. Make them on a silpat or parchment, and the cleanup is super easy.

just count the carbs in the peanut butter and divide by the # of cookies! My pb says 7 total, 4 net for 2tb peanut butter, 16 total, 1 net for a tb of syrup so maybe 1 total, negligible net for one cookie ..that would be a close enough guess for one decent- sized cookie.

Mayra, I love your channel and I also love most of what Choc Zero has to offer. Unfortunately their Maple Syrups have Caramel Coloring which may sound innocent, but is actually a known carcinogen. 🙁 Sadly it is in most low carb syrups (as well as some not low carb). Pure Maple syrup doesn't have it, but of course the carbs are through the roof. I do really like the Birchbender's Keto pancakes though, so sometimes I just eat them plain. Someday there will be Keto Maple Syrup with no bad ingredients. 🙂

    • @fishdaddyjackaquatics664

You have nothing to worry about. Sure, they did testing on rodents by injecting them with a large amount of caramel coloring and they got cancer. This was a large amount though. You would have to drink up to 1000 cans of soda per day for there to be some kind of health risk. There used to be the same kind of scare with using sweet n low. They were injecting lab animals with large doses of it and they got cancer. This is like saying that drinking water can kill you just because some fools in the past did a contest to drink the most water and someone died from drinking too much. Too much of anything can actually kill you. You are not going to die or get cancer from having a soda or enjoying sugar free maple syrup particularly if you consume it every now and then.

Wow, thanks for sharing this recipe! I recently started intermittent fasting and doing keto during my feeding window. Peanut Butter cookies are my all time favorite and this recipe will be perfect to have a sweet treat of something I absolutely love. Can't wait to try them! : )

when we give up sugars and grains, it's for a reason and worth the "sacrifice". It takes a while, but your taste buds adjust. At least I have found, as long as I don't keep feeding the addiction with constant "cheating", I am quite happy eating for nutrition and social enjoyment, rather than the "high".

Does your breathe smell like nail polish remover?
If not, you're not in ketosis!
You're using gluconeogenesis and if you're not careful, you will lose your lean body mass, i.e. MUSCLE!!!
If you eat EXCESS animal protein to protect your lean body mass, you will damage your kidneys and now, your lymph system is not going to get filtered!
If your lymph system does not get filtered, your own body's wastes will back up into your tissues and your body will create an inflammation to try to get rid of it.
Inflammation can then lead to ulcerations which can then lead to indurations and eventually, tumors, cysts, fibroids, nodules, calcifications, etc. in an attempt to protect itself.
Please be careful with these Keto Diets, as they are ONLY our back up system and are NOT meant to be our primary fuel source.
They work on a short-term basis, but NOT long-term!!!

Just an FYI for the you and of course the viewers ... if we are trying to be healthy - Let's Be Healthy! ;) The no stir peanut butter is not the best option for these cookies. No stir peanut butter has added rapeseed or or palm oil for easy spreading. These are hydrogenated oils that aren't good for our health. Unfortunately they increase bad cholesterol levels. If we're trying to be healthy without compromising taste - your best option is natural peanut butter that requires stirring before use and I'm sure the taste will be just as good and and top of it, better for your health! :)
