Butter cookies I think of father so this also one of my favorites..in 1979.father bought this I find very nice..from then on I like butter cookies...I also like the transparent candy box but I can't find in cash converters.i still searching for years can't find.i want to bring back the past memories when my parents around. I still looking for that

Beat 1 cup of butter for 1-2 minutes. Add 1/2 cup of powdered sugar. Beat for 5 minutes or until light and fluffy. Add 2 cups of sifted flour. Mix until gently combined. Roll dough into a log on a floured cutting board. Place dough log in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for an hour or freeze for 30 minutes. Cut into 1/2 inch slices. Place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool to room temperature.
What temperature and how long to bake them?
180 degrees (preheated) for 12-15 minutes

You would probably have better luck on low heat in a non-stick pan on the stove for a minute or two on each side of the cookie. Maybe do it with the lid on so all the heat is trapped in like an oven would be.
