Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. Luke 18:22-24 "22 When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” 23 When he heard this, he became very sad, because he was very wealthy. 24 Jesus looked at him and said, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God! Jesus taught that we should not depend upon our resources, but upon God, as the source of our supply, trusting him to meet our essential family needs (Matthew 6:9-13, 19-34; Luke 12:22-34).
Please use some discernment in quoting Scriptures. Not everyone is at the same degree of spiritual awareness. You, as a Christian, know how Christians are to "sell what you have," and come follow Christ. For someone who has no Christian background for understanding could hear that and either be very confused because he knows Christians who own property, or he could think he could never sell all his worldly possessions to follow Christ, because...how could he live...? Becoming homeless for Christianity!!? Without the perspective of a Christian background, that could scare him completely away from Christianity. That's why I say use discernment when quoting Scriptures. The Christians who literally do sell everything and follow Christ are monks and nuns. Don't assume everyone can do that, and don't assume that one who is totally unfamiliar with Christianity will necessarily have anything other than a literal understanding of the Scriptures as he BEGINS his Christian journey through life. Still, I'm so happy to see that you responded to this young man's quest. You obviously have a heart full of the love of God! God bless you, beloved one!

True. The Kingdom of God is within. You do need to find God within you or else you can end up so focused on yourself that you end up worshipping yourself over God. Isn't that what Lucifer did just before he fell from the grace of God and Heaven forever! We have to discern the spirits VERY carefully....all the time and everywhere, but especially when looking within ourselves because it can be SO easy to miss God or start thinking we are equal with Him, and that's a gigantic spiritual mistake that lasts forever. As a Hispanic who left the Catholic Church and met Christ in an evangelical church I can assure you although my family wasn’t happy I did not have a death sentence on me. Islam don’t just “judge” for you concerting. You get the death penalty for the shame you bring the family. So....
This last year has been super rough. I lost every one in my life. Even my car until very recently when I got another one, but anyway thank God I have a car now. I’m just trying to “rebuild” my life I guess. I turned 21 a couple days ago, and over this last year I’ve come closer to God, accepted him as my lord and savior. But I still don’t have any friends, I have 2 family members in another city far away, and I just don’t know how to keep going. I want friends, I want people I consider family. But I just don’t know how to go about getting any of that. I don’t like the city I live in, and want to get out asap. But that’s a year or more away. So realistically I shouldn’t keep living a life I hate until I leave. But again I have no idea how to meet someone and be happy with them anymore. I use to use weed and other drugs to keep me “comfortable” around people, but just before my breakup at the start of 2023, I had gone sober and haven’t been able to make connections with people since. Lots of stuff packed into the texts above, if you guys have any suggestions please let me know.
...you're just a kid so you've got plenty of time to learn, but DO NOT put it off as you'll be 40 before you know it!...seriously, congrats on getting sober as "mood changers" of any kind are a dead end, literally...getting high, in the short term, is great, but the next day you realize you are right back where you were, as you've learned...I suggest finding an Assembly of God church...it may take some time to find one you connect with...just remember, this life is a journey, there will be ups and downs...read the Bible, perhaps starting with Proverbs and the Psalms...Romans, Isaiah, John and James are perhaps good places to start also...or Matthew , chapters 5-7 with Jesus' Sermon on the Mount...start slow, pray and be prepared to be "attacked" by those who think you are "weird" for declaring your faith in an entity scorned by this world...and satan, too, as he will try to steer you back towards him and the evils of this fallen world...God Bless!...
A great place to start is cracking open a KJV Bible and reading it. Perhaps starting in the New Testament first. That will more than likely teach you many things and give you many questions. One always must be careful who they go to for answers, pastors/bishops/etc may be wrong and unintentionally lead you down the wrong path. It's a difficult journey to find the narrow path, but ultimately God will reveal the things to you that you seek that flesh and blood cannot.
What I hear in this is that you can choose your vice if you need one. He chose God and religion. It is the safest but is easy to exploit. There are many ways to view religion objectively. 1. To control others. 2. To feel good for giving to others. When you don't know who to give to, you trust in your church to choose wisely. 3. To justify your morals to yourself. This is from the outside (formerly inside) looking in. For someone who doesn't need a religion, religion is just another drug. It's porn. It's booze. It's food. It's cars, diamonds, abuse, power... it is something to make you feel better, which CAN help others as well. People volunteer and help others because it feels good. That's ok! There is no need to coat it with God. Some TRULY believe in their version of God. That's fine. But for those who can plainly see it is very unlikely that religion is correct, you are no different than someone who can quit herion whenever they want. Believe in a creator. That's not ridiculous. Following rules set by men in the name of a creator who likely cares not how you live on Earth is a bit... odd. If you think you need to worship the creator of the universe in order to be seen as a good person in His eyes... you have a pretty narcissistic creator. Lastly, God has nothing to do with economics and personal wealth anymore than He has something to do with poverty and child abuse. Enjoy your day, everyone.
So true. Just when you least expect it, He’ll call you to do something amazing. And especially with everything that’s going on in the world now, He’s calling all of His children more than ever. He’s done with leuk-warmness
I understand where you’re coming from. I was baptized at the Baptist as a baby but was not raised in any kind of church. Throughout my teenage years I was seeking religion and through the help of the Lord I found Mormon aka LDS
Pray to GOD, and just say how you’re really feeling. (Go in your closet.. yes your closet, close the door, sit stand be how you want, however your comfortable there’s not one way to have your body to speak to GOD ) and ask all the questions… make all the statements and just remember that you’re taking to GOD. He will show you.
Amen. With fear and reverence of who and what He is... humility, thanksgiving, and a heart of worship. And in the name above all names, Jesus the Christ, Son of the living God; King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
That’s funny cuz i was just thinking about how I literally choose not to spend time with my own poor family because im working so much to pay my debt. And it sort of doesn’t feel right to be chasing money every second of every day ... but I think of them all the time at least.
Oh John-- thinking of you here. My husband came from a family of a Buddhists(not really strong practicing but somewhat) and is the only believer in Christ in his family thus far. They were upset about it at first and then not really understanding it since they understood it as a western religion. It's hard when you come from a culture that is more community based (most eastern cultures) than individualistic (more western cultures). We're in Dallas too and there are a lot of questionable churches in the area. Hope you find a safe person to just talk to.
A lot of the community-based Christianity has been the priority of Christian cultures for almost all of its history: Catholic and Orthodox especially. The US Protestantism is one of the few examples of individualistic examples of Christianity.
I understand his fear but in the end his soul is more important that what his family thinks. His family can't save him, only God can and it will be the best decision he's ever made in his life. If God is calling him that's a good thing. But, like Dave said you have a choice. God doesn't force himself on you! You choose God or not, you choose sin or not etc. Answer the call! He wants you and loves you. God wants a relationship with you so you can know him personally not just from pages on a book!
Ex muslim here, it is really hard, and I was disowned by a majority of my family. But it was worth it and I will never walk away from Jesus, I have a new family, my church family, that God has provided to me. Even when I became a Christian, I was alone and God gave me comfort during those times. I just chose to be brave and search for answers, the answers were not what I expected, but God has a way and a will to show us the truth
You can give 10% of your income to food bank. Pay for some groceries, bills, and school fundraisers.etc I did this before I found another church. (Online) As long as you're giving that all God wants.
To have a biblically view of money, you must also have a biblical view of work. That dig might lead you to "well how does this fit in with family life?" then "How should I live with my family?" and so on, applying scripture to every part of your life.
Did anyone hear any mention of money in this video? I am not saying every call should be about money but the video title and the words on-screen during the call said it was about a Godly view of money.
G'day, autistic-lutheran-carnivore! I didn't hear anything related to money in this video, either. And that's the reason I clicked on in the 1st place.
The Bible calls money-lending at interest to someone who will not be able to repay a sin... If the lending is a sin, then borrowing is enabling the lender to sin and that is a sin. . So, you should avoid taking out a loan you know you can't repay. . The Bible talks about 7 years being the maximum duration of a loan... Every 7 years the Jewish people were to cancel any loans that weren't paid off yet. Property leased out would revert to the owner. . So we can quickly learn that you shouldn't borrow more than you can pay off in 7 years. . The Bible teaches good financial management... You don't have to believe the rest. There is a lot of good advice about how to be prosperous. . After following the advise and finding that it all works, that might have you consider the rest from a different perspective.
Thank you for continuing to share your message & interpretation; I cannot wait to see more of your videos & presentations. Far too many wonder why they have not found success in their ventures and need to realize, at that time we are not ready for the next series of challenges ahead of us. Use the lessons of failure and road blocks as knowledge & build on the foundations of where you are. Success will follow.
@NurturingTalents my pastor is one of the few people I heard willing to call that out as he did today. I'm sorry many are like that and don't let it get to you.

I actually agree with this, I wish he would of helped him more, especially someone coming from a Muslim background that for sure needed guidance. I wish Dave would have talked to him off air and helped him out more in that, he could of easily have won a soul for Christ.
When a man has a lot of money it’s hard for the flesh not to be satisfied. Man would have a hard time not feeling good and sufficient. Matthew 19:24 again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. Giving money is whatever is in your heart. There is no percentage recommended or required. It’s dumb to focus on money, focus on salvation. Ideally you could give away everything you had.
I am a big fan of Dave Ramsey and follow his financial advices. However, I don’t understand how a man with such a great intellect can be soo naive when it comes to religion. Especially, worshipping a man as a god that couldn’t protect himself. Dave, 1+1+1 = 3 NOT 1.
@@JamesSmith-dy4bu Oh sure....if that's you're interpretation of god as he couldn't protect himself... totally understandable why you think Dave is niave...but that interpretation is Not who God is!
I see that comments are getting censored here as to carefully manage the narrative. Shame. No human who has the ability to reason would choose to worship 3 Gods or a human being when our Creator is One. Why worship the created when we should worship the Creator?
i pray if you are reading this you come to know who Jesus is and the plan he has for your life to prosper and achieve greatness, to be healed and in perfect health, to be financially stable and overflowing, to be filled with his Joy and never come down from it and most importantly to know he died for your sins and wants to come into your heart and spend an eternity with you and call you his friend. In Jesus name Amen
I would suggest he start with a trusted Imam. I don’t think it’s necessary to become Christian to be good, loving, generous, responsible, faith-filled people. It also would also unwind his family instead of twisting them in knots. If he does that and then is still led to Christianity… then he will have more conviction about the switch.
Jesus is not a hobby he is the true God all else is a false narrative, FAITH is not about culture and fitting in it is about salvation and your eternal destiny i pray if you are reading this you come to know who Jesus is and the plan he has for your life to prosper and achieve greatness, to be healed and in perfect health, to be financially stable and overflowing, to be filled with his Joy and never come down from it and most importantly to know he died for your sins and wants to come into your heart and spend an eternity with you and call you his friend. Would you not be willing to die for your Savior?
He didn't say "better than I deserve." Woah😲
That couldn't have been been said better, 👍
A great place to start is cracking open a KJV Bible and reading it. Perhaps starting in the New Testament first. That will more than likely teach you many things and give you many questions. One always must be careful who they go to for answers, pastors/bishops/etc may be wrong and unintentionally lead you down the wrong path. It's a difficult journey to find the narrow path, but ultimately God will reveal the things to you that you seek that flesh and blood cannot.
God loves you and he needs money! He's all knowing, all powerful, all knowing, he just can't handle money.
Sometimes God would call you for something else than just living a normal every day lifestyle. It could be full time missionary etc.
What a waste of time and effort.
Christopher Alba go back to playing league of legends, son
So true. Just when you least expect it, He’ll call you to do something amazing. And especially with everything that’s going on in the world now, He’s calling all of His children more than ever. He’s done with leuk-warmness
Christopher Alba whats a waste of time and effort?
I understand where you’re coming from. I was baptized at the Baptist as a baby but was not raised in any kind of church. Throughout my teenage years I was seeking religion and through the help of the Lord I found Mormon aka LDS
he should watch some Billy Graham. Great place to start.
Physical Silver & Gold is God's money.
This was an opportunity to share the Gospel😢
Money is everything Financially read Ecclesiastes 7:12;10:19
Dive deep about spirituality. It's the 1st key✌🏽
The title is misleading. there is no explanation of a godly view of money is. in fact there was nothing substantial said about God.
The US Protestantism is one of the few examples of individualistic examples of Christianity.
the Dr spins that pen like ice man in top gun!
Agreed just like Jeremiah his life
Ex muslim here, it is really hard, and I was disowned by a majority of my family.
Perfect opportunity to preach the Gospel.
Yeah you can't be good at everything :P
God is Love. Forget about any man made religions. If God is Love to you, that is all that matters. Big Love 💕
That cooky talk was appreciated 👍🏾
What a great question and great discussion.
Surrendering to God... is all you have to do... Praying for you!!
Let’s continue to pry about John Christian for his salvation’ ❤️🙏🏽
If I don't attend a local church, am I still obligated to tithe?
You can give 10% of your income to food bank. Pay for some groceries, bills, and school fundraisers.etc I did this before I found another church. (Online) As long as you're giving that all God wants.
To have a biblically view of money, you must also have a biblical view of work. That dig might lead you to "well how does this fit in with family life?" then "How should I live with my family?" and so on, applying scripture to every part of your life.
Such an awesome opportunity to share the gospel. Don’t understand why there wasn’t a clear presentation of the gospel in response to this caller.
“The rich he sent empty away”
Lk 1:53
Did anyone hear any mention of money in this video? I am not saying every call should be about money but the video title and the words on-screen during the call said it was about a Godly view of money.
G'day, autistic-lutheran-carnivore! I didn't hear anything related to money in this video, either. And that's the reason I clicked on in the 1st place.
New life new characters
Beat us to the comments! Lol The financial diet, graham stephan show, Millenial money...
Casey is like literally has no life and tries to get views himself by commenting
Give it all away
Sell the car.

Wait, what? Dave is not doing better than he deserves? =O
Hey uncle Dave....as a Christian can I be a money lender? That's lending money and receiving interest on payment
Matthew 10:34-39
Good advice
You just changed fountains Dave that's all lol
The answer is Jesus.
DALLLAS TX LETS GO BABY
Thank you for continuing to share your message & interpretation; I cannot wait to see more of your videos & presentations.
Far too many wonder why they have not found success in their ventures and need to realize, at that time we are not ready for the next series of challenges ahead of us.
Use the lessons of failure and road blocks as knowledge & build on the foundations of where you are.
Success will follow.
No answers are given here. Just talking like they are above without giving answers. “Continue to ask questions”
Yes he just asked...
LAUGHTER...The first thing that came to mind when I saw the title was the Vatican🤪
Find Friends who want to believe the Bible and do what it says.
@NurturingTalents my pastor is one of the few people I heard willing to call that out as he did today. I'm sorry many are like that and don't let it get to you.
Caller : I want to talk to dave and his friend about money , spiritually and want money to come naturally .
Dave’s friend : hey do you have anyone to walk this path with you ?
Caller : yes
Dave’s friend : good , next caller .
Lol jk it’s for fun
I actually agree with this, I wish he would of helped him more, especially someone coming from a Muslim background that for sure needed guidance. I wish Dave would have talked to him off air and helped him out more in that, he could of easily have won a soul for Christ.
The south is called the Bible Belt for reason.
Something about the root of many evils?
When a man has a lot of money it’s hard for the flesh not to be satisfied. Man would have a hard time not feeling good and sufficient. Matthew 19:24 again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. Giving money is whatever is in your heart. There is no percentage recommended or required. It’s dumb to focus on money, focus on salvation. Ideally you could give away everything you had.
Best way to start is ask God to show me who You are. He’ll take from there.
Jesus is waiting 🙏
How much car should I buy
A couple of wheels from a porsche cayenn should just about fit your budget
It probably wouldn't drive properly if you didn't buy the whole thing
10% of your yearly income.
I'm born again. The caller brought to them a feeling is his heart and they danced around it. Not feeling good about this. Am I wrong?
He needs to read the book "seeking Allah, finding Jesus." That's about almost the exact problem he has.
Just might read that- thanks!
This was a fantastic book. It helped me better understand some of the Muslims in my life and my own journey with Christ.
Kekistani Refugee this is not your place.
Jesus is not a hobby he is the true God all else is a false narrative, FAITH is not about culture and fitting in it is about salvation and your eternal destiny
i pray if you are reading this you come to know who Jesus is and the plan he has for your life to prosper and achieve greatness, to be healed and in perfect health, to be financially stable and overflowing, to be filled with his Joy and never come down from it and most importantly to know he died for your sins and wants to come into your heart and spend an eternity with you and call you his friend.
