I know soon as I got a new job a few years ago (about 2 years ago, but as I recall, I started even a little earlier than that), I paid 10% at least even when times were hard. There may have been times when I asked God what to do and felt led in my spirit to use that money to pay back someone or pay for something I urgently needed. But those were exceptional moments. I even remember once paying like 2% of my tithes and two weeks later the remaining 8% becausr it was really hard. In the end by paying 10% (FIRST THING, 80% of the time, before bills) during the times I was struggling led to promotion after promotion. I never got financially stable until after I started paying tithes. Because it changed my perspective. I'm not owning that money I'm a steward of His money. So I give back what is His to help further His kingdom. God will trust you with money when you remember who it belongs to. Even when you get a bonus you give 10% of that. Ask God to guide you on this.
Putting God first is the key. I’ve gotten caught up in trying to get into real estate and doing things on my own and it doesn’t work. But when I put God first and live according to His word everything starts working out. Keep God first
My parents taught me tithing from a young age. I never was in need. Whenever I needed extra, I will pray and He will always provide. Folks 10% is just the beginning. Try God at 100%, you won't be disappointed

I started tithing just today, this is so unusual but I felt a sense of joy and warmth inside my heart. Something I can’t explain. It’s as if I felt the smile of God.
I used to only give what I 'thought' I could afford, after putting myself first. But Holy Spirit continued to put that shame in me, reminding me God is ALWAYS first. So I sat down and prayed for his help in budgeting and began paying my full 10% FIRST, before all my other bills, I made sure to set aside the tithe first and made what was left work. As the Lord is my witness, once I began doing that, my mortgage decreased and I got a check in the mail, which I also paid a 10% offering from. It does work y'all and God will bless us.
What about a single mother thßt has two children without their father helping and working for $10:00 an hour and your rent is almost $1000:00 per month and other bills plus food.
@@joantaylor2123 Joan, if this is you, use wisdom. Ask the Lord for wisdom and discernment concerning your finances. Never give an obligatory 10% because a pastor says you should, only do it if the Holy Spirit says you should. When people tithe just so God will bless them, they will just be throwing their money away. Remember that "obedience is better than sacrifice" and "God loves a *cheerful* giver" so do not give under compulsion but because you want to and God has said to give it. Like the widow of Mark 12, you might feel led to give your last dollar. But only give what the Lord instructs. People are definitely taken care of when they give 10%, but only if it's for the right reasons and not from a place of fear or trying to get something from God.
It's true y'all, the Lord has straightened my life out so much. After I began to tithe, I was able to pay off credit card debt I'd been carrying for decades within 3 years and am now ready to have some expensive dental work done. I don't like to brag about how much God has blessed me, but I do love to share how He keeps ALL of His promises!

I have tithed for years but now I also give out Godly books for Chris to reap the Reward in Heaven. I place them in the Little Free Libraries scattered around. I drop some off at McDonalds, in the 2nd hand bookstores. The books are from ThriftBooks and cost me only pennies. Amazon has the ability to deliver books to people in Prison. You had me following your ministry until now. Consider the Lillie’s of the field......God will supply our every need. If we are blessed with more, then we share. We do this out of the result of being saved. You don’t pay God to give you tremendous blessings or for protection. He has given me tremendous blessings because I am His child.

This is the absolutely the best sermon I’ve heard explaining the tithe... I’m humbled by what God has given me ( salvation through the death of His Loving Son) , is this not worth 10% of what He has given you? Besides, He owns it ALL! Be grateful we have eternity with Him and escaped damnation, plus He lets us keep 90% as well....
God doesn't care about our money but the sacrifices we make for humanity. I see money as just a tool to make life easier for ourselves and others. With God's grace I've made so much financial progress, good investment and right now I'm just living to help everyone around me. Spending 20% of my proceeds monthly to help humanity and everyone around me.

The root of evil is the love of money. "Trust in the Lord" that is all we need. Give what you able and give freely. God sees your heart and we are blessed when we give to others. Nuna Harrington you are very correct. As a new testament believer we don't leave by the law bcuz Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law Galatians 3:10-13.. we can give free will offerings. The old covenant was a shadow of things to come. People sacrifice their first born as first fruit offering during the old covenant. Today no one does that. As Christians we lay up treasure in Heaven as we give freely from the heart without expecting a return (In Matthew chapter 6 Jesus explains this concept). When one gives expecting to receive it back it's not giving, it's a loan and it's not from the heart. Some actually get angry at God when they don't get their money back which can lead to blaspheme. The Old Testament tithe had it's purpose for the twelve tribes of Israel and the Temple Priest, it's not for the New Testament Church, the Church should be financed by Christians giving freely and generously to God's Kingdom. It all belongs to Him anyway.

Tithing helps support missionaries too because many are associated with the church’s that have faithful givers that help support them as they reach those in remote areas. @DamirVidovic-pf2pk I understand what you’re saying, but I’m leaving it up to God to handle the tithing Christians. I don’t know them. I don’t agree with it, but I still like his teachings. You don’t have to agree with every single thing a person says to like them. I donate my money where I feel it is needed, and to charities that I trust. A person can donate other things if they don’t want to donate money or don’t have enough money to donate. Volunteer work, or things you no longer want or need are just a couple things.
My niece shared this video shared with my husband and I , and it really spoke to my heart! We are behind on our tithe and need to prioritize God in our lives. I am praying that God takes away the financial fear that has always plagued my husband and fill him with faith in Him. I pray that we will always prioritize God above all things!
There's no such thing as a biblical tithe received from earned wages. We are free to give as we can, but not biblically bound to pay 10% of our earnings to a religious institution or anywhere else as many would have us believe.

We have tithed 10% plus more on our gross income since my dad taught me that since childhood. Even during recent challenge with cancer which insurance did not cover . Giving, as taught in the gospel. When one comes to the Covenant or New Testament, one finds a total absence of teaching regarding tithing. Instead of tithing, one is to give into the treasury of the local church as "he has been prospered" (1Cor.16:2). Giving is to be based on first having given oneself to the Lord and in proportion to love (2Cor.8:5,8). There must be a willing mind, as purposed in heart, and cheerful and liberal (2Cor.8:12; 9:7,8). Giving to the truly needy is also taught (Ephes. 4:28). May the peace of understanding be to you all.
14:39 is the epitome of how I try to look at wealth. If you suddenly died one day, would you be devastated at the lost opportunity of how you'd enjoy it? Or would you be content, thanking God for the time that you had to be a good steward of his riches? It helps me to realize that being wealthy in itself is by no means a sin, instead it's all about what you worship. If you serve God, you'll use money to serve him. If you worship money, you'll find yourself twisting God's name to go after more wealth, or worse, fall away from him entirely.

God took a tiny knot inside my cheek and shook my life from pillar to post. I've lived like I was dying for 80+days. Looking at my pets and thinking I'll have to put them down. Looking at the Sum of my life and realizing that I failed. The tiny knot was biopsled yesterday and Dr felt good about it. I'll know 5-3 but it ABSOLUTELY changed me. I am now His completely. If I'd have died or do then I would have gone Penniless. I repented. What an amazing God we Serve.

I am always glad to hear the teachings of the Bible. I have heard some teach that tithes is 30 % but the very word tithes means 10%. So I searched the Bible to see what God's word says. Deut. 14:22-29 tells us how to tithe. Mal 3:6-15 then one can have a full understanding about when and how to tithe. About why and when to give to the storehouse which is as important as how much. What the storehouse does with God's tithe is as important as what you do with it. You are to be a good steward of God's blessing to you.
Under the old covenant, there were two annual tithes, plus a tithe every third year for the poor. Tithing is not required under the new covenant. Try and keep up and stop listening to this false preacher.

I used to only give what I 'thought' I could afford, after putting myself first. But Holy Spirit continued to put that shame in me, reminding me God is ALWAYS first. So I sat down and prayed for his help in budgeting and began paying my full 10% FIRST, before all my other bills, I made sure to set aside the tithe first and made what was left work. As the Lord is my witness, once I began doing that, my mortgage decreased and I got a check in the mail, which I also paid a 10% offering from. It does work y'all and God will bless us.

@@joantaylor2123 Joan, if this is you, use wisdom. Ask the Lord for wisdom and discernment concerning your finances. Never give an obligatory 10% because a pastor says you should, only do it if the Holy Spirit says you should. When people tithe just so God will bless them, they will just be throwing their money away. Remember that "obedience is better than sacrifice" and "God loves a *cheerful* giver" so do not give under compulsion but because you want to and God has said to give it. Like the widow of Mark 12, you might feel led to give your last dollar. But only give what the Lord instructs. People are definitely taken care of when they give 10%, but only if it's for the right reasons and not from a place of fear or trying to get something from God.
It's true y'all, the Lord has straightened my life out so much. After I began to tithe, I was able to pay off credit card debt I'd been carrying for decades within 3 years and am now ready to have some expensive dental work done. I don't like to brag about how much God has blessed me, but I do love to share how He keeps ALL of His promises!

This is the absolutely the best sermon I’ve heard explaining the tithe... I’m humbled by what God has given me ( salvation through the death of His Loving Son) , is this not worth 10% of what He has given you? Besides, He owns it ALL! Be grateful we have eternity with Him and escaped damnation, plus He lets us keep 90% as well....

The root of evil is the love of money. "Trust in the Lord" that is all we need. Give what you able and give freely. God sees your heart and we are blessed when we give to others. Time as well as money . people use that verse about tithing to preach the prosperity bible. Not Charles Stanly, but people like Olesteen, Copeland, and many others on TBN. We will be rewarded for what we do in the spirit of God.
Nuna Harrington you are very correct. As a new testament believer we don't leave by the law bcuz Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law Galatians 3:10-13.. we can give free will offerings. The old covenant was a shadow of things to come. People sacrifice their first born as first fruit offering during the old covenant. Today no one does that. As Christians we lay up treasure in Heaven as we give freely from the heart without expecting a return (In Matthew chapter 6 Jesus explains this concept). When one gives expecting to receive it back it's not giving, it's a loan and it's not from the heart. Some actually get angry at God when they don't get their money back which can lead to blaspheme. The Old Testament tithe had it's purpose for the twelve tribes of Israel and the Temple Priest, it's not for the New Testament Church, the Church should be financed by Christians giving freely and generously to God's Kingdom. It all belongs to Him anyway.

@endtimesareuponus8930 I provided a couple in my initial reply to you. 👆 While I’m here let me also state that there are some ‘pastors’ that tell you to give, give, give ie., Keneth Copeland, Benny Hinn, etc. but the true pastors I listen to are not like that, including the late Pastor Stanley and other great men of God. Tithing helps support missionaries too because many are associated with the church’s that have faithful givers that help support them as they reach those in remote areas. Trusting God with what He has given to you reaps great rewards…in more ways than by a monetary return.

@DamirVidovic-pf2pk I understand what you’re saying, but I’m leaving it up to God to handle the tithing Christians. I don’t know them. I don’t agree with it, but I still like his teachings. You don’t have to agree with every single thing a person says to like them. I donate my money where I feel it is needed, and to charities that I trust. A person can donate other things if they don’t want to donate money or don’t have enough money to donate. Volunteer work, or things you no longer want or need are just a couple things.

There's no such thing as a biblical tithe received from earned wages. We are free to give as we can, but not biblically bound to pay 10% of our earnings to a religious institution or anywhere else as many would have us believe.

Giving, as taught in the gospel. When one comes to the Covenant or New Testament, one finds a total absence of teaching regarding tithing. Instead of tithing, one is to give into the treasury of the local church as "he has been prospered" (1Cor.16:2). Giving is to be based on first having given oneself to the Lord and in proportion to love (2Cor.8:5,8). There must be a willing mind, as purposed in heart, and cheerful and liberal (2Cor.8:12; 9:7,8). Giving to the truly needy is also taught (Ephes. 4:28). May the peace of understanding be to you all.

14:39 is the epitome of how I try to look at wealth. If you suddenly died one day, would you be devastated at the lost opportunity of how you'd enjoy it? Or would you be content, thanking God for the time that you had to be a good steward of his riches?
It helps me to realize that being wealthy in itself is by no means a sin, instead it's all about what you worship. If you serve God, you'll use money to serve him. If you worship money, you'll find yourself twisting God's name to go after more wealth, or worse, fall away from him entirely.
Blessed is he that obeys the word of God!! I am praying that I become an obedient servant to the Lord Jesus Christ!! God took a tiny knot inside my cheek and shook my life from pillar to post. I've lived like I was dying for 80+days. Looking at my pets and thinking I'll have to put them down. Looking at the Sum of my life and realizing that I failed. The tiny knot was biopsled yesterday and Dr felt good about it. I'll know 5-3 but it ABSOLUTELY changed me. I am now His completely. If I'd have died or do then I would have gone Penniless. I repented. What an amazing God we Serve.

I am always glad to hear the teachings of the Bible. I have heard some teach that tithes is 30 % but the very word tithes means 10%. So I searched the Bible to see what God's word says. Deut. 14:22-29 tells us how to tithe. Mal 3:6-15 then one can have a full understanding about when and how to tithe. About why and when to give to the storehouse which is as important as how much. What the storehouse does with God's tithe is as important as what you do with it. You are to be a good steward of God's blessing to you.
Under the old covenant, there were two annual tithes, plus a tithe every third year for the poor. Tithing is not required under the new covenant. Try and keep up and stop listening to this false preacher.

It's a blessing to help others when they are in need. BUT then there are scammers.
What's most amazing and intriguing when folks talk about tithing and encouraging others to give, is no person is telling you give here and give there, they're telling you just to give. They're not asking for your money, they're telling you just give whether that be to the local church, a ministry, a charity, or maybe a person in need. God is our provider.

Still praise Him!!!! Last week moved to a one-bed apartment which is quiet, cleaned, plenty of trees & flowers. We moved from a 2-bed room apartment which will be auction on 5/10/2021!!! I am still looking forward to have a job of finance workers compensation in CBD Sydney!! Have listened to many preachers previously but I continue to listen to Dr Charles Stanley!!! Believing in the living God, Jesus is a privilege, we are His children, thank you Lord.
