Sounds like a story I heard on "West Wing". Guy is in a deep hole, can't get out, people pass by but no one helps. Finally a friend passes by, and JUMPS INTO THE HOLE. Guy is "WHAT?" "I've been down here before and I know the way out."

There is so many anti tithers that say it was for OT and want to persuade you not to Tithe, but I can say 5 years ago I was struggling financially and decided to Tithe. All of a sudden I could not understand how there was so much money left over. Nothing had changed with my income. Then I stopped tithing a year later and went back to broke again in less than 3 months after I stopped tithing. So when 2017 came around my new year resolution was to start tithing again. I made a vow that from that day I will never stop paying my Tithe again even if I became a millionaire. Long story short, I started tithing, God put me to test when they cut my work hours almost in half. I kept my vow and kept paying my Tithe and 3 months later I tried a new business with shoes and went from 1 pair, to 2 pairs, to 4 pairs to 8 pairs, and up to at one time 180 pairs. I learned the game and have never had more in my entire life. You stop sowing seeds and God will stop the blessings. And God applies this principle in giving also. That's why you see people that aren't even Christian get blessed because they are philanthropist. Lesson, tithe and you'll never be broke if you follow the other 4 Dave talks about.

    • @TheBibleListener
      @TheBibleListener 5 років тому +22

Tithing was for the old covenant...we are now under the new covenant..tithing was always food and goods, never money...no where in the new testament says we are to tithe now..it says we should give with a cheerful heart, but if you tithe thinking your going to get something in return or that your life is going to get better or to do it because some else is, God would rather you keep it.. and any preacher today that says you must tithe is deceived..and more than likely doesnt want to preach otherwise, because hes worried he wont get paid instead of trusting in God...

I loved every bit of this! My best money lesson from the bible is from Ecclesiastes 11:2; Invest in seven ventures, yes, in eight; you do not know what disaster may come upon the land. Given the present economy, this is as true as they get. Never put all your eggs in one basket. As one who has been into Real Estates for as long as I can remember, I made my first million earlier this year from stocks alone (got the help of a pro though because I don't have a lot of spare time). I also experiment with a couple of other things. Hard to imagine that I had initially refused to try out new possibilities. Good luck.

Remember: God does not want us rich, God does not want us poor, God wants us GENEROUS.
Who has a lot, it is because he shares little. A person who earns a lot of money is not rich,
rather, a rich man is a person who accumulates all the profit of it only for himself without sharing
with those who need it most; remember that always. Proverbs 29: 7, Luke 11:41, 2
      Corinthians 8: 13-15, 1 Corinthians 10: 23-24, Galatians 5:13, Galatians 6: 2, First John 3:17, Proverbs

..this is why I don’t hang out w/anyone basically besides mom, & stepdad, stepmom, & dad. I have one person I consider to be a friend now but she is long-distance. I’d rather walk w/Jesus alone until He brings me into fellowship w/other people who are on fire for Him too than risk being in bad or poor company unless it’s for sharing the gospel. Patience is a virtue! Trust in God, He will provide for us!! I’ve already hung out w/wrong crowds before, so no thank you that will not be happening again but thank you Jesus for saving me, for loving me at my darkest, & turning my life completely around!!!

I was a Sears in-home/outdoor repairman and some of u mentioned Christians with fishy stickers on the bumper never offered a cold drink even in 110* California weather! Actually As a Christian man myself I was treated poorly by other Christian’s. Non believers were far more hospitable than any believer I did service for, this was heartbreaking to know these are the same friendly people we see and greet in church. I vowed to always be kind, hospitable, and generous with all service people who fix my belongings and property when they come to my domain! Be kind to those of us who make your family life comfortable 🙏🏽🥹

I really needed this spiritual message today, thank you Lord. thank you Dave Ramsey and thank you whoever posted this video, bless you !! the hardest money principle for me is that good things take TIME. last year I didnt feel i had a lot of it. now a whole year's gone by and ive wasted more time and im still drowning ! but the principle that gives me hope, funnily enough is the same principle. good things take TIME. "God is a slow-cooker!!" so this year im going to take a step back and let Him do the cooking for once in my life cos i keep messing shit up. thats what im praying for this year, God's goodness and grace and mercy. Amen.

My girlfriend did “missionary dating” and it’s become evident it’s all part of God’s plan. God searches for the lost sheep... I recently gifted her her first study bible. I was surprised it was her first considering she grew up in the church and is a devout believer. Anyhow, we help each other reach our full potential and to better understand the Word.

@@johannwilder1437 Wrong ! We live in a World that Functions on MONEY! IF this was NOT GOD's WILL it would not be this way ! Dave Ramsey is a perfect example of how GOD wants you to manage HIS MONEY !
Dave, will tell you Himself that we are Stewards of GODS Money, NOT owners of it ! It is of HIS Will what we get it !

Mindrex, yes the world functions on money. But the Bible says this world system is currently under the authority of Satan. Read Matthew 28. So I ask you...why focus your time and energy to be rich in a world that is perishing, temporary, and currently under Satan's rule? Satan is called the prince of this world. The Bible says is Proverbs: "Do not toil to become wealthy; be wise enough to desist." My friend, you are a friend of the world. According to 1 John, friends of the world will not inherit God's eternal kingdom. Your wisdom SEEMS smart from an earthly perspective. But Scripture clearly refutes you and your message.

My rainy day came a year ago. We had a house fire and lost everything. There was no insurance. I'm a single mom and I spent all of my 25 years working, borrowing and buying stuff on hire purchase. I had a furnished house with everything. I was forced to change how we manage money and waste. I have 10 years to retirement. The lessons I'm learning now are a blessing. I'm glad Dave has said it's possible in 10 years.

P.s. the McDonald's "hot coffee" story was an old woman who ordered coffee, spilled it on her lap and got 3rd degree burns. She couldn't afford the medical bill so she contacted McDonald's multiple times asking to pay. McDonald's wouldn't pay it so she sued and won.

Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.

''The rich and poor meet together: the LORD is the maker of them all.''(Proverbs 22:2) It's the Christian believers evangelical mission to show the rich how to care and share with the poor. God wants workers, not criticizers.
