The true definition of a muscle car. I love how he went with the COPO look. Understated, but potent.
@Skip R Pony Car is a Mustang thing. Other cars such as the Camaro was indirectly given that name because it was similar in size. Car folks or not, no one referrers to a 427 big block COPO or a ZL-1 as a pony car. And definitely not a beautifully restored version with a 572.
@Skip R Nope. That’s Mustangs and Camaros with small blocks. When they have big blocks...they ain’t pony cars. They cross over to muscle car....
I like this guy's style. In a world of LS engines being dropped in everything this man keeps it old school. 👍
Back in my day. Show it. Drive it!.
camaro without an LS and has normal size wheels, instant click
Yeah something not so over the top and a lot of money old cars should be some what up graded but not so crazy that the average person could afford.
LS swapping a classic car hurts me inside
I love this comment!
Hub caps are sexy!
You said it! I can't wait for the Dub Craze to be over with.
Fix that steering wheel and the dig gauges and it'd be perfect.
Old guy here, that's how we used to do'em....
In garage finish couple passes on Friday & Sat.
All week tinker, Friday pull it out and do it again. Just good natured fun, with liked minded people.. Nice ride, O.
You hit right on the head old timer😂
Play those hits in a loop while I close my eyes and commune with my soul...
This is done perfectly. The stance, color and the entire setup is just amazing excellent build.
He's got it set up to look like an old COPO Camaro. Thing has to be a crazy sleeper on the strip.
Totally agree. That thing is perfection.
Excellent
Only thing I would change is the yr model, iam parcel to the '68.
the pure definition of a muscle car...those big fat tires, the stance, the wheels.
I like this a bunch. Omar's got taste. Nice.
Yes 100% only downfall to me is the bumpers need to be chrome to match the wheelwell trim and the dog dishes beside that this is a nice ass tasteful build here
@@CaydensDaddy91 not feeling the digital dash and the front seats are all right.
This guy took the idea of a COPO and made a freaking awesome restomod. Every part of this car is just “right”.
…and I love that he drives the snot out of it.
I want to like this hard, but it's already at 69 likes. So, have a like here to preserve the number.
WOW!!!!!!!! This is my favorite car on the show so far. That and that kids Nascar powered Camero
Its an Angry, bare knuckles, brute.
Noyyyyce.
1:00 "I got the car just about when I started following you on Autotopia." Take a bow Shaun, Omar's car is raw and she certainly has a mean roar.
I'm 61,had a '69 Z/28, my best friend in highschool had a '69 SS/RS 375HP 396. I've seen quite a few Camaros in my time. Yet here it is.... The Badass Camaro to end any discussion about whose got the Baddest Camaro out there....Well...here it is... this thing has the look, the stance, the sound, the idle, motor, drive train and the intent the owner has... It just don't get badder than this....
Thank G-D, that actually LOOKS like a Camaro. No silly detailing, no aftermarket wheels, exterior and interior just about classic
This guy nailed it. The dog dish caps and steelies are perfect. That racing gas is the best cologne.
Agreed and yeah, love the smell of race gas
F'n slow clap.. Omar has almost built my perfect 1969 Camaro and I've never even met the man. Absolutely love it!
This is a real masterpiece. A perfect Camaro.
Being an old timer, I never have liked it when classic muscle cars are "updated". This one is the exception. Great job!
@Skip R - Give it a rest. No one cares.
@Skip R, hey Skippy. You need to read a few muscle car books before you open your mouth. Because you sure as Hell don't know what you're talking about. And besides, do you have a car that can top this badass Camaro? We doubt it.
@Skip R Well SkippeR, you say Potato I say...
@Skip R
Yeah skip....we get it! I think if it’s a small block, yeah! But big blocks ain’t ponies! They’re on steroids if they are!
@Skip R Challengers, stangs and camaros can be muscle cars too. Just because they are pony cars, doesn't mean they can't be muscle cars. You can turn a luxury car into a muscle car if you want to also. When it comes to muscle cars, just like rock music, no one follows your rules. Your rules are made to be broken. This car is 100% muscle car. Consider your pony car rule shattered.
Mane that's a total bad ass there. The thought of having an everyday car as well as race car is awesome
That sound, that deep rumble it’s so good. It really sounds like a lion’s roar.
Love that sound!!
This is by far my favorite Camaro I've seen so far. This is a beautiful work of art!
Nothing sounds like an old school big block, Very cool and looks great too.
The 572 big block has only been around since 2003, I'd hardly call that old school
@@csr801996 That's because you don't have a clue what you are talking about ,It's a new block but. It's old school design (NOT AN LS or LSX) same design as a 60's or 70' motor!
@@csr801996 That block has been around since day one you have to stroke a motor to get 572 in³ And they were doing that in the sixties buddy
Go back and read his comment moron. He said nothing sounds like an old school big block. It don't matter what people were doing to their engines in the old days, that design 572 wasn't around then. Nobody was punching there 454 to 572, except for maybe some hard-core drag racers who had a load of cash laying around. Even if some people were driving around back in the day how many do you thing you would actually hear drive by? They are a crate engine and I've never seen one driving around in person, every chevy around here is a 350 with a hot cam to make people think they are running big power but most are not.
@@csr801996 So basically he's not wrong, you even said so yourself that only a few people sitting on excess cash were punching out their motors to that high of a displacement, just not many. Do you make it a point to contradict yourself or are you just plain stupid?
Man, this one just squats on those meats & goes, all the while making all kinds of glorious noise! I love it!
Yea it does!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude seems cool as hell. Cars great but the owner is just very cool which makes the car even cooler .
Car suits him .Nothing tacky and just straight forward .
Good episode . Wish this dude all the best.
Omar is awesome. Class guy and built a great car too
I enjoy this so much more than a conventional ls swapped camaro. Gives off COPO vibes 👍🏻
Nasty Big Block, damn that is the purist “basic” muscle dare I say that he built it to drive to the track, race, and then drive home .....that’s a such an amazing garage build all done by the owner. He did such an incredible job on his car!
Love this car. While the high tech restomods and pro touring muscle cars are cool, it’s great to see an old school period correct muscle car like this one. And it looks right at home in Southern California, where people used to drag race cars like this on weekends at their local drag strips.
FINALLY!!!!! A car without rubber bands.
Thanks man
Finely a Camaro with the right size wheels, thank you Omar
This is one of the nicest looking cars ever made. It's the subtle details. Not overdone, and not trying to show off. The low key look of this camaro is absolutely unreal beautiful.
So refreshing to see a non-LS Camaro (nothing against LS's). Love the old school touches. The PERFECT looking and sounding machine. And not afraid to let er rip.
The old school look never gets old
WOW I absolutely love this. This is one of my top 10 favorite looking muscle cars of all time. The styling is absolutely period correct and on point, and doesn't have the cheap race car look where someone just rips out the entire interior to save 40 pounds. The whole part of owning a muscle car is the vintage style and beauty, and this captures it. The soft door panels, the vintage tires, the vintage wheels and hubcaps, and the white lettering on the tires, everything is just perfect.
I love pure motor hot rods! My first car was a 1979 Camaro with a 305. I upgraded it to a 383 stroker with ported and polished 882 iron heads. Before I left for basic training I had a set of Airflow Research heads on order. Someone decided they needed my motor more than me and stole it from garage. My dad canceled the AFR order and contemplated how to break it to me. I haven’t owned a hot rod since.
Damn that’s terrible man
Turbo's superchargers are all fucking nice and all but you can't beat the sound of all motor ripping that torque goddamn!
CAMARO 👍😁
@Jay & Laong's World!🤪²⁰²¹ every time Sean post a video on camaros I say it I have a 88 iroc
@Jay & Laong's World!🤪²⁰²¹ I have a few videos on my Channel
Probably my favorite Camaro on the show, 572 big block power 🤟
Everything about this car is built perfect.
Honestly the finest f’n Camaro I’ve ever seen. Looks so close to my ‘68 I built and sold recently. But this one has everything I wanted to do to mine.
GORGEOUS CAR MAN!!!🏁👊🏻🇺🇸
I hate most Camaro's out there. But I'm digging this one a lot!
Props to Omar for not sticking an LS in there!
And props to whoever did the body and paint work on it! Looks smooth and nicely gaped from what I can see on the video!
It’s clean but still a driver. I love that he went big block in it. I love LS’s but it’s refreshing to see and hear that big block!
@@AutotopiaLA
Keep the videos coming! Great work as always!
Do you have any videos of the shop that you shoot at!?
A lot of really nice cars in there! I'm sure if you haven't done a video of it yet? A lot of people think the same as I do!
OMG. That side profile 💯🔥🔥
I have a 67 RS ,and I love this car,well done.
This car is so f***ing amazing. Such spot on taste. My only qualm was the digital guages, but damn, the seats, color, rolling stock, just the engine.... man o man...
I had the same reaction for the gauges, but I respect the fact he had a complete vision of the car. And damn did he NAIL it.
Plus, the original gauges on the these cars suck (I had a 67 Firebird) and I’m not a fan of auto meters.
The black looks awesome with the black hounds tooth interior. I like seeing one with some tire for a change instead of rubber bands on large rims. Mean, grouchy Camaro, love it.
Definitely love the meaty tires with some real sidewall
Nothing beats a powerful muscle car with dome dish or any it's original wheels, my personal favorite.
This guy knows a Camaro
Love the pics of him as a kid!
Thanks David,, that’s actually my son he rode with me to get the car 3 years ago
By far THE nicest Camaro I have ever seen. Hands down. I love the classic look, the sound, the dog dishes, perfect tire set up.
Thank you
Props to you Omar. Nice to see a young man going the old school route. Other than that, I'm speechless..
Finally, Christine has met it’s match! 🔥Meet the demonic COPO!🔥
Finally a real muscle car without low profile tires and stupid rims. Beautiful!!!
That Camaro is absolutely badass!
Love the old school/period correct wheels and tires.
The Camaro Is Perfect.. 🥲🥲🥲 Omar, That Big Block from here in TN Sir, you have done America Proud
That’s right Daniel,, skip white has this motor dialed in,, dialed in so much that it blew the torque converter 😂🤦🏾♂️
came back just browsing tonight ...loving the car..then realized hey!.I was here a few weeks ago loving it then....grrrreat build Omar
Always love big block Camaro on carb. Cool and hand built at home, congrats to you. Thanks for sharing
Best car of this channel by far. I always come back to this vid
Serious ride for sure

Absolutely a MONSTER. What a beautiful Camaro
... And that Big Block roar.... INTOXICATING.
No frills, only serious business.
I dig it.
That man has great taste, the houndstooth and steel wheels just put it over the top.
INDEED👌🏿!
I LOVE IT!!!! TOTAL BAD ASS !!!!!! STREET SLEEPER!!!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!! SO SIMPLE & CLEAN!!!!
The car is perfect! Copo wheels...deep dish back wheels on 15 inch wheels. Beautiful!
One of the nicest Camaro's I've seen. So cool!
The stance and the wheel and tire package are spot on. 🤤
This beast will make a snake stand up and a dog talk. Pure Beastmode.
That thing is mean looking, I love the stance.
Gotta love the big block picking up that left front fender
Beautiful car.
THIS IS THE BEST ONE YET..... GOOD JOB.
You can tell that Camaro loves being driven like that. Bet it lasts for years and years ! I've had my 4th gen 1996 for about 26 years and thinking to drop a 572 in it !
One thing I loove about your vids is the stupid smile on my face throughout the video watching pure mechanic and road mastery
I hear ya! I get that same stupid smile
Tasteful black out, steely wheels/caps, slight tub, hidden cage, and a Carbureted Big Block. The perfect Pro Street. Nothing more, nothing less.
Did he say he had to tub it to get those 295"s on there?
Holy sh!t that Camaro is perfect. Damn good vid Shawn. Thank you!
Not a chevy boy but your camaro is definately the coolest stock looking car I've ever seen. Love it dude just AWESOME
Thanks man thanks for commenting
I'm a Mustang guy but I'm also an all muscle car guy as well. I would like to have all three brands in my garage. This Camaro is lit, simply an amazing piece of machinery.
You see what happens when you leave the car alone and keep all the beautiful original chromes/body lines/ and overall “stock” Appearance, you get a beautiful baddass machine🔥 it’s the little details that makes the car 🔥🔥
This car is really well done. Guy made great choices mechanically and stylistically
The sound the grip. A true get up and go
I’m convinced! This is the wheel and tire setup for my future 69. She’s perfect! Everything about her is perfect!
This is exactly what a '69 Camaro should look like 👏🏼
It’s perfect
this might be the most badass ride you have ever had on your channel! when there's a helmet in the backseat, and a raw steel roll cage, it's for real.
It’s certainly one of those special rides and I love that he built this at home in his garage!
Less is more! Sweet ride bad ass set up plain jane the wide slicks and dog dish hubcaps grow on you. Dude was chill and very humble, the snarl of the motor had those slicks wavin fightin for traction!✌
That’s crazy, this car received more views than these high dollar builds. It’s a real simple build with nothing major with a cool guy. Its refreshing to see a muscle car without big rims or rest modded out, don’t get me wrong, it’s nothing wrong with custom cars but it’s nice to see dog dishes on a car.
Absolutely beautiful build, Omar did an amazing job. So cool.
You must love your job Shawn! Just saying. What a beauty!
This guy has great taste in cars. Big block old school build is classic style. Can't wait to see what Omar does next, the man has some skills.
This is the most badass 69 Camero ever! Beautiful build.
BEAUTIFUL,BAD ASS CAR......THANK YOU THANK YOU, for building it yourself!!!! Checkbook hotrodders suck!
Absolutely petfect!!!!
He ain't right in the head with the hounds tooth. That's why I love him.
Got to have that houndstooth. It’s iconic Camaro. Just like plaid seats is iconic Porsche...
This guys Camaro has me wanting to change my mind about my Camaro.
LOVE this car - a lot!
What another great owner/builder. Not only does he know every nuance of the car, but knowledgeable about its history and just cars in general.
Stunning
Love the steel wheels no stupid alloys with rubber band tyres perfect!!!
Man thats one beautiful 69 Camaro brother.
Thank you, glad I got the opportunity to expose it
@@omarlovejoy9086 Awesome brother.
THIS is how a Camaro should look!
I love the ZL1 COPO look ....... Gorgeous car ! HATS OFF TO ALL INVOLVED ON THIS BUILD ,,,,,,,
That's a pretty sweet camaro. Thanks to the owner for not putting a LS engine in it.
This is the PERFECT Pony Car! As a 60 Year Old "Old School" Drag Racer that has Built My Share of Camaros, You HIT The BULLSEYE On This One! @Autotopia
Thanks George
The body color steel wheels and dog dishes are spot on!
My Hats off to Him Building it like this !!!!!
Same here
Gorgeous. And unlike some other goofy fads this beast will never go out of style.
True horse power for sure. Beast.
Kinnell" The noise man, That's a beautiful Tone
Absolutely love how simple and clean this car is.
