It has a built LS engine with twin turbo's and it blows the tires off 1st through 5th gear so sit back and enjoy the ride...

It threw me off when he said no boost it makes 1000hp. But what he means is at wastegate boost at 8psi it makes 1000hp. Lol! Love this truck!
Yea I was initially confused and scratching my head. But only spring pressure and no additional boost added.

This guy is not scared to get after it and stay in it as long as he wants and is cool as a cucumber while doing it. I respect his driving demeanor. I imagine that if that truck gets sideways he would probably turn out of it pedaling the throttle and enjoy the action. In most of the episodes I have seen, the drivers get on it for a bit as long as the car is going straight. Not this man, he goes into the deep end and searches for more. He runs on Adrenaline and Dopamine.

So...when this truck moves, you just notice the difference between a movie and real street especially with the onboard camera...this is the best episode for me.
This was one of my favorite episodes, common everyday guys who all grew up together and actually daily their toys.
That truck is insane. The driver is so amazing. He knows what he is doing!!! At 24:15 or so when he dumps it and finally gets into 4th. The look on his face, the confidence. He knew what to do. Incredible!! Amazing truck. Amazing driver. Amazing video. Thanks!!!!

I have a close relative of mine back in the day driving like a mad man in a tricked out '76 Pontiac Grand prix, having it floored, car screaming like a bat outta hell simultaneously screaming.... "I WANNA GO FASTER!!!" Yet this gentleman doing this in a 1000 hp truck in his way doing like wise? Somebody give this man a TWO THOUSAND HP engine please hurry like today!

Man this video gave me absolute hills and goosebumps. That man can drive his freakin ASS OFF! What a great guy! That truck is an absolute animal! Them drag radials where screaming for dear life. You can tell the intensity in his face but its just effortless and hes so at home and relaxed.

Very cool truck. A little optimistic on 1000hp at 8psi on a 5.3. You'd need around 650na to reach a 1000 flywheel hp with no efficiency loss. Probably closer to 18 psi for 1000 flywheel hp.
I know right and He's on pump gas LoL. He's probably about 500 to 600 max

I had to rewind to make sure i heard him right when he said he' making 1000 hp NO BOOST. With stock heads, ring gap and a cam. Yeah alright.

9 out of 10 drivers would pile this up in a 2 week period (if that long) if they tried to drive this truck like this. Kudos to this builder and driver. Great video as well.

BLANK, LOOKS LIKE THE REAL DEAL. He explains everything so well. This episode brings me back to my street- racing days. I know this will enter some young guy or gal's want to start this way of life, but let them kind of know, what it cost to build and upkeep on some of these builds

Awesome Truck Blank!! 5.3 is probably the best engine that Chevy has put out. It’s versatile and hard working and reliable. You really don’t need a bunch of money to make a build like that, it’s more labor and tweaking. Great Video Shawn and I would love to meet Blank and his crew. Lots of knowledge to absorb, just freaking awesome.
I just started watching this channel a few days ago and I gotta say this is my favorite episode. They’re all good, but this just hits different.

Best interview and vehicle I've seen yet, simple setup(It has to go into boost a sometime, I don't know how you can get 1000 hp out of a 5.3 unless your in boost), I have a similar 6.0 setup coming on my 1972 chevelle which will kick in boost at 3500 rpm 56mm Borg Warner's.
Nice truck, dude seems to know what he's talking about but I'm calling bullshit. No sbe 5.3 making 1k hp on gate. He's a carb guy, don't know shit about efi. Maybe capable of 1k on a max effort tune, but that's a stretch. I want to see the dyno sheet. 😂😂
Im assuming when he kept saying "no boost" he meant that it gets only 1-3 PSI cause of how its set up. But yeah I dont see how else you get a 5.3 to 1000hp with zero boost.

Why did I get the shivers when he hit the pedal :). Bro, this is what I wanted for my brothers and me because this is what we have grown up around. Our paps had us going in the fields with 250 cars, so we could find motors or parts for a car he wanted us to build. My brothers took a different path, and I still do what I like. I have a 57 Apache and a 1970 Ford Torino GT convertible that I'm adding some treats to it.

Had a 68 RS/SS Camaro back in the 1980's. At the street races in the San Fernando Valley 2x a week. Remember going to LA to see these guys run and remember his Green El Camino. We wouldn't bring our cars down there. Ever.

Used to run 3-4 nights a week in the valley good times. Cops left us alone nobody really got out of hand unlike today

If I was to build a truck. It would be that one. The reaction was classic. Brought tears in my eyes knowing that man can scare people with that thing.. those guys would be a lot of fun to hang out with. The auto knowledge that those guys have with their history of racing.. I would enjoy that.

He says no boost. If gate pressure is 8 pounds it’s on 8 pounds of boost, not zero boost.
The whole no boost thing looses me. He should just say it's on wastegate and move on.
@@ChasingPerfection that’s what I’m saying. It’s on low boost. There’s really no such thing as no boost. If the turbos have exhaust gas passing through and making them spin it’s making some boost. Also with twin turbos that’s 8 pounds per bank of 4 cylinders of boost.
Hope nobody turn out unexpectedly in front of any of these “hits”. Dude is a cool hand at the wheel. I wanna see it completed.

Not sure about the 1K ponies with no boost but there is no doubt that truck is fast. He takes it serious too, his face turns all business when he's on it. Very skilled too

Awesome truck. But I was actually excited when I herd 383 and thought he was down playing a 400 or 434 but then when he said 5.3 Ls I was 😫. Either way Awesome truck. Love that is he drives the crap out of it. Legend.
