My dad and I built up a 68 to look just like that L78, with the hood and the base interior. We put a super t-10 4 spd in it with 4.56 eaton rear (c-clip elim) and the motor was a big block from a 72 Monte Carlo SE which was 402ci. Its limited to what you can do with it, but if you are cruising around the streets it get it done. And the track it can pull the front up if you slip the clutch just right. We sold the car a little over 8 years ago. I regret it. Nice car!
The stock interior appeals to me. It’s stark and sinister. “The car is what it is” and we love it for it. Well said! Beautiful car. I have a ‘67 RS/SS Triple Black.
L78 car and just beautiful. I understand you buying it back so many times. And the sound of that buzzer. Used to hate that thing. Caught myself pushing on the key in my car the other day just to hear it. {Doesn't work otherwise.} Thanks very much.
What a great car with the original L78 on a stand and an L88 under the hood. This car has an original POP also, it shows the selling dealer and engine, transmission and rear end.
What happened to the L78 motor? I thought you mentioned putting heads back on it, when and why the switch to the L88, especially on a 37,k mile car? Beautiful car love to know history and of course story about owning it 3x now lol. What s great sound when you went through the gears, , btw Rockcrusher ? Sound on my phone so - so but thought it sounded like M22. Thanks again!!
Hey Jeff! I have the original motor for the car. I freshened that last year when I freshened the L88. I have all owner history back to the original owner. The car does have an M22 in it. Thanks for the interest!
@@bouldermotorcar Many dont understand with a lot of cam its cruising close to its sweet spot. Lugging is never good plus its a great sound track! Love the car. New cars cannot give this experience. Nothing matters in life once you turn the key
Have you seen prices lately? Small block SS restored are 70k . If it is what it is, and he has the original L78 block or even date coded or CE block he'll get that 100k and then some!!
was waitin on the boot stomp.... then the giggle was perfect!!!

As a former owner of a new 68 Camaro with the same trim, I am eating my heart out. I am happy for you.
Truly one of the prettiest muscle cars ever built, in my opinion, absolutely stunning example right here. And man, you can drive!
Ahhhh...that sound running thru the gears makes me smile watching your vid. Nice to have that toy at your disposal.
What an amazing street machine!

Well driven
Love everything about your video!! I'd like to know how you mounted the camera for the inside shots while driving? Thanks again for an awesome video!
Thanks Joe. It's just a suction mount for a Go Pro I bought off of Amazon
sharp 68 SS Camaro
She’s a sweetheart. 👍
Nice 👍.
That sounds good when you give it some 😂❤
Feels good too;)
Nice 68. Is it still available? Price?
I can be contacted at (715)385-3700 to discuss
Very cool! I love your close ratio.
Its crying for a five or six speed..super nice car.
Sweet!! Could it use a 5th gear?
It certainly has the torque to pull a 5th gear. The M22 works really well, plus the whine is part of the experience;)

Original SS. Documented with it's POP as an original L78 4 speed car
✊👹
For over 100 grand ??? Good luck

He will get plenty more for it than that.
i love old cars, but they are just that old. Not worth the money. Rather spend $100K on a Porsche. Be a far better car to drive anyway.
Oh dude shut the fuck up no one cares, we are old car enthusiasts here
It’s definatley not lazy
