Absolutely kick ass car! I really appreciate that the creators didn't go crazy and this beauty doesn't look like a "Hot Wheels" car. Such a cool mix of power and the quality of the building(this monster didnt't even get overheated). It looks aggressive, a little modified but it's still a 69 Chevelle! That's super cool!
@@donovanchilton5817 compression ratio too high for power adders unless you were running some race fuel. 12:1 compression, 91/93, and boost would be RIP. What I would like to see out of this motor though, is someone putting race fuel or E85 in it, and simply adding more timing.

If you get to see this engine in person, you really see how tall that intake is. Maybe a Sunoco type hood would look better, but a stock ss hood is a no go on that tall deck and tall plenum intake.

I have the electric cutouts on my 78 BIG10 Chevy truck with a 557, they are directly behind the collector so it just sounds like open headers with no exhaust. If I get around the buttholes with the loud speakers I just press the button and drown them out. 😂
I have to say, in my opinion, this is the BEST build I've seen on this channel pound for pound. Unreal... especially with a GM warranty on the engine. How can you beat that. Badass....

My first car was a 68 Chevelle (I would like to thank my dad, my mom wanted me to get a used ford escort). My good friend had a 69 and we just wrenched on them all day back when HS had an auto shop (RIP). I miss that car!
Any idea why they used a five-speed and a low gear rear end? Not to mention that ugly hood scoop seems like somebody in the high-tech world could have figured something better

Watching these throwback videos with modern update makes me proud to be a L.A. hot rodder in the 70’s. This Chevelle was a street burner from the factory in my high school junior year in ‘68 and the radicals of model year ‘69 from GM, Chrysler, and Ford ruled the streets. 👍🏾😎

I’ve wanted 1 of those new 632’s for my 70 chevelle since the day it came out a couple years ago, 1000+ hp on pump gas from factory with warranty, how can you get any better than that, $29,000 I think is what they cost last I looked, love this motor
Always dreamed of their solid roller 720hp 572. Just to go to my Drs appts and grocery shopping WOuld make retirement SO much better. Id eat ramen every day (instead of 3) to afford gas haha
With all the cars you bring to the channel it's really hard to stand out. But this thing...The looks, the build quality, the engineering...it all blends together. It almost looks....stock. And I say it as a biggest compliment.
Finally an old school Chevelle that brings back the old memories of when Chevy ruled the road . So many Fords and Dodges watering the old muscle cars down and the junk supercars of today . It's about time we can get excited to see such a monster ! Way to go Mile High Muscle , you knocked it out of the park . Chevy rules the road ! My favorite year too !
Just came in from a really good cruise with my freshly built car. Felt like it was wicked fast and super cool. Saw this. My car’s a Jalopy. This, in my 40 year professional car guy opinion is as good as it gets. It’s over the top in every way possible but still somehow 100% old school and just …. Wow. I wouldn’t want to park mine next to this. Wherever this car appears most everyone else can just pack up their junk and just spectate. Cause this is gonna steal the show, hurt feelings and break hearts everywhere she goes. Much respect to the builder, the owner and this channel for bringing such, overwhelming content. Great work all around!
This is actually a fantastic unbelievable car. I can only imagine what you could do with this car if you put a twin Turbo system on this beast. My Nissan GTR is 1400 horsepower twin Turbo and it runs slightly under 9 seconds in a quarter mile at a 160 miles an hour. And that is the most brutal thing I've ever sat in in my life. This car of yours I couldn't even imagine what what you've done is incredible. Congratulations.
OK. NIce to see the '69 Chevelle here. Other years seem to get more attention. Way back, I had a '69 4 door 6 cyl. Chevelle. So, this is super cool for me to look at. yeah, mine was the family car version but, same look , more doors. LOVE the simplicity of this retro muscle car look. It really is the best look. Like hearing Led Zeppelin, it doesn't get better than the original inspirations these artists had designing the classics. Timeless... that's what this fabulous car is..... and it deserved to be made into the beautiful monster it is!
It is one of those muscle cars that you cannot look away from as it arrives, passes and departs. Second place dream car this is, after the Shelby Cobra from Superformance of course!
When I saw "All Motor" Chevelle. I clicked quicker than I could say "quick". One of my dream cars is a '70 Chevelle and I want a N/A LSX, 5-speed tranny, with the American racing torque thrust 2 wheels, in Metallic Gray. It's crazy but i can visualize the car in my head.
You can't please everyone... The scoop has to be what it is. It's a nice car and has plenty of power. It doesn't need anymore power. The engine is Prostock technology... As long as the car goes straight and has no body roll, you cannot ask for anything better than that! That's a heavy car...

Looks good, sounds good the hood fits the engine so can't complain about that. I don't have a 1,000 horsepower car you guys are very fortunate by the way. I have a couple high-output V8 cars between 450 horsepower and the other is over 650. And they both seam to have the same characteristics. 600 hp sounds good but it's mostly wheelspin but I like it LOL
My 2 cents External nascar oil system (the oil-pan & pump) so you can drop the height of motor Shave the top of intake lower efi carb Custom small air filter The hood looks out of PROPORTION
The only thing I would do differently is color-fill the bowtie on the intake. Probably the same color of the motor with a black outline or polish the raised outline. This is an amazing car, just amazing!

That thing just snarls, I have heard some angry cars at the track and on the street, but there’s nothing like a naturally aspirated motor. It appears to have brutal acceleration even at part throttle input, usually on a fresh build you tend to not stand on it, at least not until the drivetrain is broken in, I’m sure it’s gonna really be an animal after everything in the motor is seated gone through the first 500+ miles. I’ve heard torque arms really stabilized the straight line but this suspension was never unsettled, and has zero left/right drift, great build! Killer video as always Shawn!
It truly is an incredible piece of art. The love and money put into this car is mesmerizing. In my mind, though, when is anuff a anuff all that raw power is incredible, but let's be real a car with 400 hp is going to smoke that car cuz it will not grab traction, just my opinion. Breathtaking car and the blue paint is inspiring.

67,68, and 69 Chevelle just have that look....a little surprised they went with a 4.30 rear end as that motor has plenty of torque out of the hole..

It truly is an incredible piece of art. The love and money put into this car is mesmerizing. In my mind, though, when is anuff a anuff all that raw power is incredible, but let's be real a car with 400 hp is going to smoke that car cuz it will not grab traction, just my opinion. Breathtaking car and the blue paint is inspiring.
It is massive power but it was grabbing pretty good. That torque arm set up is no joke
