My affected side is the right one. This video is very handy so I'll try it that way. Since I can use a little bit my right arm I'ts a whole lot easier for me. Thanks Nathan
Thank you so much for sharing the above video. Your talk the way you guide us to do things not alone guides us that we can do it on our own . Also gives us confidence that we can do it . Lead a life with confidence and feel good factor . You are an angel in disguise . God bless you
You are making my life easier to handle. A perfect illustration for bra changing. I also started wearing Sports Bras with no clasp. Thank you for caring about we Stroke Survivors.
Thank you for this video it is really informative and I have been struggling. More OTs should be looking at this video and teach us because just teaching us to put on a shirt or t-shirt and pants only help the males buy for females we have an extra step and this help me to feel a little more independent. My affected side is the left side and this hwlped
i have a very small back - 30" - and an ample bosom. my bras fit fairly tightly around my chest because it is the back strap that supports you NOT the shoulder straps. no way this would work using my bras. i have sustained a wrist fracture so am currently asking a neighbour to do this for me; getting it off takes me up to half an hour each evening! the bra in your vid is loose fitting so would offer no support and would ride up the back... principle is good though but only for those with ill-fitting bras...
Great video for donning/doffing a traditional bra! Very helpful. Would like to add (from one OT to another) that sometimes, at least for some patients, you can also recommend they use a one-piece sports bra that they can don/doff same as they would don/doff an overhead shirt.
I'm used to be a right handed. My right hand weakened after getting a stroke 6 years ago, since then I'm using my left hand. Your technique to wear the bra with right hand was it same as using the left hand?
This video helped me so much I almost cried. I’ve been wanting to put on a bra by myself for a long time. Thank you so much!!!
When i am able to help one person effectively is what makes me happy. Thank you letting us know. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Thank you very much!!!❤

Glad to hear that. It took several trial and error to find the easiest way for that part of dressing. 🙏🏼

Thank you. And yeah, it will be the same principle and they wont have to struggle with the hooks. ❤️
@@SKILLSANDWELLNESS yes! They just have to follow your video (minus the hooks) which shows the process perfectly!
I hope my instructions were clear enough. :-)
@@SKILLSANDWELLNESS Your comments were fine and the video makes it even more clear. Well-done!!
Thanks nathan this is very helpful. Can u do donn/doff shoes and socks one hand technique please. Ty
I will try to make a video.
As the effected side gets better, you can fasten it in front and spin it around like you did to take it off.
Great video Nathan. I take mine off like I put it on because honestly the hooks are very hard to undo with one hand plus it saves time.
Hmmmm. Thats a good idea
Finally this is out! Good job da!
