- In this video I show you what parts list I use to relocate the battery to my trunk and the ABS module to the stock battery location. I also relocated my catch can to where the stock battery goes. I go through the wiring and try to walk you through the steps I took do the relocation. This is a custom installation and there is many ways to do this. I 3D printed a mount for the ABS module to attach it to my battery tray.

RacecarAndChill what did you do with your stock ground cable though? I seen you wanted to connect it to the chassis for a better ground, but where did you put the terminal?

@@RacecarAndChill it is a top priority for sure. Wasn't lucky enough to find a used one. But I am actually doing the battery relocation as we speak. Trying to get one that fits the spare tire well. But this is a great start for me to visually see what needs to be done. Really enjoy the channel for sure having a boosted IS myself.

Can you somehow get the blueprints for the abs bracket? My brother has a 3d printer but hes no good with it. Planning on doing this soon too. Thanks for any help! Awesome guide man!

What did you use to pressurize your master cylinder to properly bleed the ABS pump? Clean relocation btw. I did the same relocation but used a smaller battery from XS Power In the battery tray with the ABS pump.
I used a vacuum bleeder. I have not had any issues with it yet. It seems like I was able to get all the air out of the system this way. Another way of doing it would be to engage the abs and then bleed again. I'll be doing that if I have issues once I use the pump. I'll keep the channel updated if I have any issues. Make sure to subscribe so you dont miss the update!
Yeah you could go on a gravel road and lock the brakes up to activate the ABS if you need to.

Why didn’t you use a battery box to contain the lead fumes from entering the cabin? Are you going to use a AGM battery? Nice kit for the abs is your friend going to start selling the 3D printed case for the abs?
The trunk isn't really sealed as you can see all the dust in there. There is a vent right by the battery, and I don't really daily drive the car, so I'm not worried about fumes much. The car doesn't run any cats and its burning oil, so there's no way I'm driving it with the windows up... 😅 But yea, we will be selling the 3D printed ABS bracket! It's pretty much finalized. You showed the ground in the engine bay but how did you connect the positive cable to the distribution block? The car side not battery side.
I cut the battery terminal off and wired it straight to the distribution block. The distribution block I used just needs the wire stripped and you can clamp it down.

What exhaust are you running? Custom?
Yessir. It's a 3 inch straight pipe from the turbo back with a straight through muffler at the end.
The wastegate also dumps to the atmosphere

Wait... you never finished saying... you said “my car is an 01, fortunately I have a parts car..” did you swap the abs block with an 02+ or is this still the 2001 abs block?
The abs blocks are different. I'm still using an 01 block.
RacecarAndChill ok cool... so you posted the diagram for 02-05, but you went over the 01 routing on ur block... cool! Appreciate that! Us non sticky dash guys got a little confused. Lol 😂 just ordered the same kit, for the same reason. Was going to just wrap the downpipe, but decided not to risk it. Did you run off the 3D printed mounts yet?
