  • This is the easy and cheap way to get more out of your fuel system without spending a ton of cash or countless hours of labor. this is for the guys that want to boost on the stock ECU without tuning and plan on keeping it at 8 PSI or lower on a stock engine with a mid-size turbo. look back at my other videos to find all of the needed information for the turbo kit.

    Hey bro with the injectors you ran the 7m ge into the 2j did u get the bulky looking rubber seal on it ? If so did u run those seals on it or did you use to ones from the oem injectors ? I used the oem rubber seals and I’m running into the issue of the injectors having a ton of play in the head and they leak a ton . Did the 7m ge injector seals fit in pretty snug or how did u get them to not leak

    Will the stock fuel pressure regulator system work for 6 psi?

    • @MrPhukyew
      @MrPhukyew  2 роки тому +1

      It will as long as you follow all the other instruction about the maf housing and injectors. But it's really hard to maintain 6 PSI on these cars because you need a lot of wastegate to keep a turbo that low especially on an automatic. On the last one I built I chopped off the wastegate flange that came on the manifold and I welded on a 60 mm v band style wastegate and now that car maintains as low as 5 PSI if I want it to. On the 4-bolt wastegate that's supposed to go on that manifold you will get pretty bad boost creep.

    • @trilliamogdlocog4986
      @trilliamogdlocog4986 2 роки тому

      Thanks alot your videos give tons of info I been doing tons of research so I don't run into issues, I'll run a bigger maf with the green top injectors, tial 6-8 psi wastegate with boost controller etc, I noticed on the is300 it's basically a straight pipe system compared to the sc300 or gs300 that are really restrictive 2 mufflers 2 cats and resignators. Now the only thing is the fuel pump lph etc people on forums give mixed advice some say bypass the fuel pump ecu that cuts fuel or give more for start ups and run it stock on low boost but I see tons folks running their own aftermarket fpr return systems..

    • @trilliamogdlocog4986
      @trilliamogdlocog4986 2 роки тому

      I seen in a forum if you run your wastegate vacuum to your turbo instead of the intake manifold you'll see a 2-3 psi drop in boost, it made sense to me another guy said he was getting low boost from a Chinese wastegate that leaks a little but I definitely don't want boost leaks issues.

    • @MrPhukyew
      @MrPhukyew  2 роки тому +1

      @@trilliamogdlocog4986 I've never had leaking wastegates issues but I've had the diaphragm in the wastegates go bad a couple times. And yes the 2-3psi drop is because of the restriction of the intercooler. Supplying the boost to the wastegates from throttle body means your referencing boost after all restriction. Means the springs are gonna open at x amount of pressure no matter what so if you hook up boost gauge to the same place as wastegates you will always get the same reading. A wastegates set up for 8psi will open at 8psi. If your boost gauge is hooked up on intake manifold and your wastegates are hooked up before intercooler then your gonna get 6psi boost at the manifold. Every setup is different and user preference and turbo size and many other things can really contribute to how that should be hooked up.

    Hey I'm finishing up my NA-T build with fuel pressure regulator and return (just like this video)
    I'm getting great afrs from 2-7k rpm, but it's running very lean on idle.
    Can I just crank my fuel pressure up endlessly till this is fixed? Raising from 45psi to 60 helped, but not enough.
    If not, what do you recommend? Check for vacuum leaks, tweak AEM FIC6 fuel map?
    Really really appreciate it.ty

      What injectors did you use?

    • @BruceBalistreri
      @BruceBalistreri 3 роки тому

      stock injectors with FPR and return as I've seen many people do it that way for sub-9psi boost.
      The fact that it can deliver adequate AFR's at higher revs tells me it's probably not injector maxing out

    • @MrPhukyew
      @MrPhukyew  3 роки тому

      @@BruceBalistreri worst case scenario you damaged Pistons from going to lean under boost. Stock injectors are not going to give you enough fuel for anything over 3 or 4 PSI Max. And that would be with you at 60 PSI fuel pressure
