My mother was raped when she was young, she wanted to have a miscarriage when she found out she was pregnant. She tried lots of things to make it happen including falling off a ladder and also trying to trip and fall on her stomach but no matter what she did she never lost the baby even my aunt would go to the extremes of hitting her and kicking her stomach. But here I am. That baby was me. And God kept me safe the whole time and I can proudly say that my mother is truly grateful God was in the act protecting me because out of her 4 kids I'm the only one who has been there for her and helped her. I didn't realize I was not the son of the man I called father until my mother told me last year while we were at church. I was ministering in the worship group as the keyboard player and the Lord gave my mother a word saying "that person you see behind that keyboard is my child, and only mine". It's when my mother broke into tears and said yes God he is yours and right there God told her that it was time for me to know everything. I was 25 when she told me I'm now 26 but when she told me I told her that I didn't care that she kept this secret from me because regardless I am product of Gods hands and there is a reason for everything. GOD IS GREAT! And there are so many other people likewise that have purpose in HIM and that's why I'm against killing unborn children because you just never know what type of child might that be. He might be a preacher, pastor, evangelist, prophet, musician etc and people are ending their lives before they can make an impact to the world and their lives. "Don't talk science..." OMG, did she just say that?! What is a fetus if not a tiny human? You know, I had a "crisis pregnancy" and several people around me told me to just "get rid of it." Only one person who knew about it, was supportive, and that was my uncle. I remember trying to think my way through the "decision" to go ahead with the pregnancy. I said to my uncle "At my age (20 at the time), so many of these pregnancies just don't stick anyway." He said "There is a difference between something happening and you making it happen." Ultimately, I thought through exactly what would be involved with having an abortion and it made me physically sick. I had had a vision of the child about the time he was conceived and felt that he had a right to live, a right to look up at the stars and wonder about the universe. I've been haunted for decades now that at a certain point, it was ok with society and legal that I could have destroyed the incredible person that my son is. And the ripple effect it would have had. His father and I married and had two more children that would not be here. The most profound thing was finding out a decade later that had I not had children when I did, that I never would have had them. I didn't know it at the time, but I had endometriosis. At the age of 20, while there were a few odd symptoms, it had not done it damage yet and I was able to get pregnant. Because I continued that pregnancy and nursed my baby, it staved off further damage and I was able to get pregnant two more times. After that, although I didn't know it, I was infertile and the disease progressed to where I had to have a partial hysterectomy before I was 40. I am now over 50. And the thing I have come to realize is that it was never a "decision." I am not the kind of person who could destroy a tiny person even if it required that I be pregnant and give birth. Even if it required that I find myself with a small human in my arms that I would love more than life and my life would never be the same again. That small human is now 32. He is an amazing man, hardworking, with good friends and family always around him. My life is better because of him. There is nothing more important that I could have accomplished with my life that would have been better than him being the world. Even if I had had to give him up, I would have had him. So, I really feel for women who are being told lies about what lies in their bellies. Because I was told those lies too. And it would have been far easier to believe in the lies and not go through the hardships of continuing a pregnancy when I hadn't planned on it. But, I have never lived my life that way. I can't imagine the burden of the regret I would have felt afterwards. I also credit an anonymous priest at the college campus who said nothing to me but opened a book to show me what an 8 week old fetus looked like. It had feet! FEET! Well, something that had feet was certainly not a "blob of cells!" And those little feet have traveled the world!

It may not mean much, but I am proud of you. More stories like yours need to get out there. When I was in high school I had to write a report about abortion and it's consequences. I found that all the major arguments used by "pro-choice" were invalid because the percentages were so small. I also found that rape victims who get pregnant, have a much higher chance of getting over the rape, if the carry their child to full term and give birth. I didn't realize I was not the son of the man I called father until my mother told me last year while we were at church. I was ministering in the worship group as the keyboard player and the Lord gave my mother a word saying "that person you see behind that keyboard is my child, and only mine". It's when my mother broke into tears and said yes God he is yours and right there God told her that it was time for me to know everything. I was 25 when she told me I'm now 26 but when she told me I told her that I didn't care that she kept this secret from me because regardless I am product of Gods hands and there is a reason for everything. GOD IS GREAT! And there are so many other people likewise that have purpose in HIM and that's why I'm against killing unborn children because you just never know what type of child might that be. He might be a preacher, pastor, evangelist, prophet, musician etc and people are ending their lives before they can make an impact to the world and their lives. GOD BLESS YOU and keep pushing for victory and lets pray that God keep these unborn babies under his protection.

You know, I had a "crisis pregnancy" and several people around me told me to just "get rid of it." Only one person who knew about it, was supportive, and that was my uncle. I remember trying to think my way through the "decision" to go ahead with the pregnancy. I said to my uncle "At my age (20 at the time), so many of these pregnancies just don't stick anyway."
He said "There is a difference between something happening and you making it happen."
Ultimately, I thought through exactly what would be involved with having an abortion and it made me physically sick. I had had a vision of the child about the time he was conceived and felt that he had a right to live, a right to look up at the stars and wonder about the universe.
I've been haunted for decades now that at a certain point, it was ok with society and legal that I could have destroyed the incredible person that my son is.
And the ripple effect it would have had. His father and I married and had two more children that would not be here.
The most profound thing was finding out a decade later that had I not had children when I did, that I never would have had them. I didn't know it at the time, but I had endometriosis. At the age of 20, while there were a few odd symptoms, it had not done it damage yet and I was able to get pregnant. Because I continued that pregnancy and nursed my baby, it staved off further damage and I was able to get pregnant two more times.
After that, although I didn't know it, I was infertile and the disease progressed to where I had to have a partial hysterectomy before I was 40.
I am now over 50. And the thing I have come to realize is that it was never a "decision." I am not the kind of person who could destroy a tiny person even if it required that I be pregnant and give birth. Even if it required that I find myself with a small human in my arms that I would love more than life and my life would never be the same again.
That small human is now 32. He is an amazing man, hardworking, with good friends and family always around him. My life is better because of him. There is nothing more important that I could have accomplished with my life that would have been better than him being the world.
Even if I had had to give him up, I would have had him.
So, I really feel for women who are being told lies about what lies in their bellies. Because I was told those lies too. And it would have been far easier to believe in the lies and not go through the hardships of continuing a pregnancy when I hadn't planned on it. But, I have never lived my life that way.
I can't imagine the burden of the regret I would have felt afterwards.
I also credit an anonymous priest at the college campus who said nothing to me but opened a book to show me what an 8 week old fetus looked like. It had feet! FEET!

I found that all the major arguments used by "pro-choice" were invalid because the percentages were so small. I also found that rape victims who get pregnant, have a much higher chance of getting over the rape, if the carry their child to full term and give birth.
