The very fact that she was arguing is concrete evidence that all of her denials of truths, absolutes, or mere definitions is wholly insufficient to quell her conscience which is burning with condemnation within her. Although she is running from the truth, she comes to Jeff and argues. She is like the criminal who cannot stay away from the crime scene. The truth is, we cannot live up to our own manufactured definitions of integrity let alone to God's ultimate standard of holiness. Therefore, we often try, as does this woman, to run from any definition at all: of good or evil, or integrity, or even to avoid calling that "thing" in the womb a baby, a lump of cells, or a mere undefined "pregnancy." This woman is dancing like a child who needs to go to the bathroom, with vain attempts to make truth go away. Yet, at every turn it condemns her continuously. This shows how futile is the attempt to deny the truth that is written in our conscience, and how solid, real, and immutable truth is. Oh how we seek to avoid it! If only we could see how deep is the love that TRUTH is made of, and how beautiful that love is when we allow it to touch our hearts. This woman has hardened her heart to the child in the womb, but God has not hardened His heart to her. She is His child and He loves her dearly, so much so that He gave His Son to die for her. If only she would allow herself to see. Surely, this is the purpose of prayer. May the Lord bless this good work that Jeff and his team are doing.

@Streetsdisciple001 It will certainly be the man's business if the woman has the child. A judge will make sure of that with child support payments. And if a criminal attacks the pregnant woman and the baby dies, the criminal will be charged with murder of the unborn baby. Not to mention the unborn baby has a separate body from the mother so one could turn this argument around and say the mother should mind her own body and not disturb the unborn baby's body. And there are cases where pregnant mothers who abused drugs or alcohol have been charged with crimes for hurting the body of the unborn baby as a result.
Explained well? Sure. Justified Christianity? Not even close. Atheists can’t disprove a higher power. Christians can’t prove it. Agnostics use reason to establish morality and spirituality. Funny how people can’t see the inseparable connection between morality and justice, let alone explain it well.
@@Primatenate88 a refutation of objective truth in any sort of fashion is a completely contradictory worldview that cannot stand. It literally defies all logic and reason and any claim otherwise is complete and utter intellectual dishonesty. What Jeff Durbin is saying here is that you have to pick a lane otherwise your entire outlook on life is a lie. If you are okay with outright saying that you know that what you believe is intellectually dishonest and you don’t care, then that’s another worldview in it of itself. But you cannot claim that your belief is not contradictory or logically consistent, and that is what this entire argument was about. Any legitimate and intellectually honest atheist would tell you that that same belief is completely illogical. You can’t borrow reason or logic from an absolutistic worldview and apply it to a relative one. With all due respect stranger your statement itself is contradictory. It can be boiled down to this: Is there such thing as truth? No Is that statement true? If the person then answers yes they just completely refuted their own argument before it even began. If they answer no then what was the reason for them to even answer in the first place? Not to mention the lady above never even mentioned that Jeff “justified” Christianity regardless if he did or not, she simply said explain. I say this out of love friend, not hate. @@domega9161 Your argument is diversionary and takes away from the main point. Anderson Paes She said to take her as an example of someone who doesn't think that the idea of god matters, but not as representative of every atheist. Turn off your selective hearing and pay attention.
@@timpieper5293 Your argument is inconsistent. Someone who thinks that the idea of god doesn´t matter is an atheist. You can´t say you are an atheist, but when arguments against atheism makes you speechless just say: Oh well I´m not a representative. What are you then? An atheist, but not a representative one? But for argument´s sake, let´s assume she is not a representative of a atheists. She is a representative of herself. Her indivudual atheism. So he argued against her world view. And she couldn´t answer...^^
Mona Müller “your argument is inconsistent.” Well, it’s possible you’re right. I’m going to hear you out and see if you can help me spot a flaw in my reasoning so that I can be more probably correct in the future. “Someone who thinks that the idea of god doesn’t matter is an atheist.” Where did you hear that? I’ve never heard that definition of atheism before. Or perhaps you’re not defining atheism but trying to say that if someone doesn’t think that the idea of god is important then they must necessarily be unconvinced of any of the many man made gods’ existence, because you’re saying that if someone believes in a god then it automatically follows that their gods are important to them? If that is what you’re saying, then what about non-committed Christians. They believe in the resurrection of Jesus, that he died on the cross, and they even believed wholeheartedly in Yahweh. But over the years, his commitment fades. Maybe it’s who he hangs out with now or what information he’s become privy to, but the songs and worship doesn’t move him like it used to. And somewhere between born-again and atheism, the Christian is convinced, tentatively, but not super invested in his idea of a god, because he wanted to know the truth, and that required being capable of admitting he was wrong about his gods existence if he could be given good reasons to think so. As you may have guessed, this anecdote is not too far off from my own personal experience as an ex-Christian, but my point is that it’s possible to believe in a god (to be a theist) and to yet still not take the idea of gods /too/ seriously, and /certainly/ not to take specific and ludicrous ideas of gods seriously. But you’re a believer, right? I’m assuming you’re a believer for the sake of this point. I’m assuming you’re a Christian and that you think Islam’s god doesn’t exist. So in one sense, you don’t take the idea of the Islamic god all that seriously. But in another sense, you may feel a great bit of concern about the idea of the Islamic god fooling people into not seeing what you see as the truth and come to be saved by the grace of your god. In that sense, the idea of a specific god might matter quite a lot to you. So I hope you can come to see why, while some atheists don’t take the idea of gods seriously, in another sense, some of us very much do. Some of us see you all committing yourselves to beliefs in a way that seems completely comparable to all other religions on this planet, and in many different and unique ways between the various religions. And this can cause many atheists natural impulse to empathize and sympathize with those people and want to help them think about their beliefs, and so that they can help us think through ours, and that we can both ultimately better understand the world and our most successful strategies for achieving happiness in life and, if you’re somehow right, happiness in the afterlife. But of course, there are some atheists who view this issue and hit a different take-home point: ua-cam.com/video/-xtN_f2mZ88/v-deo.html Having said all that, it seems that after he just gets done placating her points about how atheism isn’t monolithic, at 4:49-5:02, but then he starts trying to spell out “what atheism ultimately says” at 6:17-6:36. And he doesn’t even get what I believe, as an atheist, even close to accurate when he says “there’s no meaning, no value, no purpose.” This is truly messy language, and really doesn’t explain what most atheists I know of and respect would never say in such an imprecise and obfuscating manner. Here’s how they put it in response: ua-cam.com/video/dWNW-NXEudk/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/-RqkskhzRCc/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/V3GxePIZk-I/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/o5y8Uj_GMEk/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/r6w2M50_Xdk/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/Txp8LhL56rU/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/3I7TKW_QQbA/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/9nnwvoH-4XI/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/wbqMcdfcsGU/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/YBCDGohZT70/v-deo.html It’s almost as if he’s deliberately putting words in her mouth after she identifies as an atheist and then pretends like she’s back-peddling for not holding his straw man position of what atheism “ultimately says”. But presuppositionalists would never rely on such dishonest word games, would they? ua-cam.com/video/TxwtnCeg0nU/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/H8Nu5QXXtVU/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/UkVYCR6iWdM/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/MKKkC53EfiE/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/xamzFuo_4F0/v-deo.html So my point is, when he tries to claim that atheism doesn’t provide the preconditions to complain about a mutilated child, by saying that atheists have no ultimate basis for complaining, he ultimately never really explains why it matters whether we have a basis. He tried several times, but all he did was reassert it over and over in contrast with his straw man of monolithic atheism he pretended to not think is real at the beginning of the video. Here’s more examples of atheists not fitting his mold of what follows in practice from not being convinced in a god’s existence or in an absolute unchanging moral law: ua-cam.com/video/Ft6Jn-haV_o/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/5kQl46dBx7I/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/ILtfuvjcrkI/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/CwGcOxngTUI/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/MSmry9ppoIs/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/OsAaxOFOUl4/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/RlbUw5hjeKI/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/SFXQzexO5XU/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/DDi7_4BcvTg/v-deo.html Then after she accurately calls Jeff out for making atheism sound like a belief system at 9:27-9:46 because he can’t refute it without misrepresenting it, as the diversity between the atheists I just presented demonstrates that he is in fact mislabeling his stawman atheist which says there’s no meaning or value even though that’s not what any atheist I just presented said in any way, nor do any of them necessarily agree on how to view morality despite all subjectively valuing human wellbeing. They also explained precisely why the absence of a basis for morality would make no practical difference in day to day life. And after she explicitly says she doesn’t have an /absolute belief system/ at 9:46-9:52, his response tells you everything you need to know: “do you believe that?” What disingenuousness. She told you she cannot hold an absolute-belief-system. She didn’t say “I cannot hold a belief”. And she was nice and took the blame for Jeff’s misrepresentation of her position, but I don’t think she should have. He knows full well that he’s misrepresenting her and all of the atheists I just listed, but he doesn’t care. And the next line on the presuppositionalists script is “what does honesty, inconsistency, or being compassionate and rational matter anyways if there’s no god?” And then attack us with the straw man again. Did I guess it right? Matt Dillahunty did: ua-cam.com/video/OL8LREmbDi0/v-deo.html But even if you play that card, it’s okay. You already know it’s not going to work because it was already refuted by TMM and Logicked and TBS, and the rest of the lot of atheistic perspectives I cited. I should tell you though; other Christians who /do/ care about honesty, inconsistency, and compassionate rationality will be immune from that card and will see you playing that card for what it is. An admission of guilt. ua-cam.com/video/M7if0BLqI_g/v-deo.html You haven’t yet played that card, to your credit, so I’ll just let that be a pre-emptive defense that once again demonstrates the juvenility of presuppositionalism. “She is a representative of herself” Yes, and I’m a representative of myself and you’re a representative of yourself, and Jeff is representative of all professional pressuppers in some sense but he is ultimately an individual with his own personal perspective devoid of omniscience or anything he would have to need in order to actually be justified in claiming to know with the levels of certainty that he does. And as you can see, her inability to answer anything doesn’t make anything he said less bullshit. I hope this response finds you well, regardless of whether I have a basis for doing so or not. Peace.
Zed Zul Zorander I don’t know what imaginary person you’ve started arguing with, but perhaps you could try actually addressing the points I’ve specifically given as responses to Jeff’s points or questions. For example; Jeff’s disingenuous question about whether she believes she holds an absolute belief system. He heard the word “belief” and pretended that’s all she was referring to. What defense can you come up with? You got anything of substance to say? Or are you perhaps just posturing? Can you even give a reason to think my citations are not clearly designated as references of the variety of perspectives atheists actually take, despite Jeff’s language purposefully designed to give the slimy impression that atheism entails a bunch of unrelated claims that are complete non sequiturs? What’s not relevant about the citations of Presuppers being shown for doing what they are doing; putting the cart before the horse and never backing up their assertion that uniformity of nature, Logic, or moral claims, or subjective values all somehow mean a god exists, let alone the Christian god (embarrassing): ua-cam.com/play/PLkYjGll0E2OBHIyaxSh3IxobqoJ3cIq5u.html This is simply gaslighting. All preaching presuppers are admitting Christians have nothing left. Presuppositionalists recognize they don’t have a shred of rational thought behind their beliefs, so they normalize circular reasoning and then pretend everything atheists happen to infer are all based on their god, then they pretend every atheist acts as if they’re borrowing from the presuppers worldview all while never actually backing up their claims. It’s great for keeping Christians remaining Christians, but for people like me who don’t buy these baseless claims or the baseless claims that my worldview is reduced to unworkable simply because I don’t buy the first set of unsubstantiated claims is nothing more than flare. If you have a rational response that shows how my comment lacks relevant responses to Jeff’s blunders, I’d love to hear it. I wonder if you can. Please note I haven’t assumed you’re a presupper or a Christian yet. But given the subject of my comment, your bravado doesn’t tell me you’re likely objective on this issue and seem determined to avoid addressing the actual conversation topic and want to deflect into tedious accusations of being something the other is not. I don’t know what your position is, other than you think I’m apparently beneath serious consideration, and that you’ve called me a troll. Anything else? What do you have to add to the conversation?

@MusicMadMaurice It appears not to many people are agreeing with you. Have you ever thought that maybe you are the one with the wrong worldview and that you have been brainwashed into believing atheism is correct? The pastor clearly demonstrated what a ridiculous worldview atheism is. Maybe you just don't want to see.
@MusicMadMaurice Hi Maurice. Hope you are doing well. Surely a naturalistic explanation for our universe comes with atheism? There is no evidence that our universe could have somehow arisen by itself naturally therefore I would argue that atheism is a belief. The evidence actually points towards an intelligent uncaused first cause for our universe. Surely the argument that the universe somehow managed to arise itself uncaused is the bigger claim and therefore the one that requires an explanation.
@MusicMadMaurice Yes I know we don't know what caused the universe. But we can logically look at it and come up with logical explanations, and these logical explanations lead to an intelligent uncaused first cause. Btw I'm not sure why you are trying to bring Dawkins book into this discussion. Let's just stay on topic.
@MusicMadMaurice 1. Point taken. I misunderstood your original comment and I now know I didn't have enough information to assume your worldview. 2. It seems you have misunderstood my comment. I never said a magician conjured anything into existence. What I did say was that logic and reasoning leads to an intelligent uncaused first cause being the most plausible explanation for our universe. I will elaborate later. 3. You said "Can you see the difference in that viewpoints compared with those who claim s thoroughly discredited book .....". The first thoroughly discredited book that jumped to mind was Richard Dawkins the god delusion. Or was it one of his other books you were referring to? Back to point 2. Can you suggest any natural thing or event which can be it's own explanation? If your answer is no, why do you believe the universe is an exception?

Jeff’s patience is incredible. This lady was literally denying logical statements and philosophical refutations by saying “ that’s just your opinion.” At some point, it gets frustrating that a person’s cognitive dissonance won’t let them see how illogical they’re being. He doesn’t ever seem to reach that point and I admire that so much.
I feel you man, like what kind of sanctifying of the holy spirit does it take to get this type of patients and meekness's, whilst simultaneously preaching the word with zealousness and authority is beyond me.
If you love someone, you won't lose patience with them. When you understand, *truly* understand, how much God loves you, and you look at a person, any person, and realize that God loves them just as much, who are you to love them any less? (that's not a challenge, I understand spiritual growth into the image of Christ is a process, and if you don't automatically feel a sincere, deep love for anyone and everyone, just pray, read scripture, and thank God for who he is and what he has done for you) 1 Corinthians 13:4-7: "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
This guy Jeff understands the warfare....You gotta be patient with folks in the world cause the God of this world which is devil has blinded their minds....They are confused as heck....It's one big mess.
Nager McDuck works both ways there. We atheists get very aggrivated by generalizations, mischaractorization of our reasons, and it takes alot of patience while someone tells us how wrong we are, and will suffer for eternaity, and that they only threaten me because they love me. We are highly intelligent people, and run off logic and skepticism. We are extremely patient most of the time, but christians trigger me so bad because of the personal insults based of ignorance, and misguided understanding of what or who I am.
Trent Clancy: If I may ask you this....what part of what Mr. Durbin stated to this girl in this video do you not agree with? Be specific to give time marks as it pertains to the video so we can go back and listen. Thanks.
What she probably should have said was “religious belief system”, as in theism. Everyone essentially has their own system of beliefs that they believe to be sound, not to be mistaken with worldview which is more philosophical. In a sense i do get how christians would think that atheists hold a “belief” system but the fact is the atheist has a lack of belief in the theistic sense. I know its hard to believe but believe me that you dont need to believe theistic beliefs to believe in a belief that is atheistic. Lol i was just having fun with the previous sentence. And the whole thing about morality is just ridiculous at this point, what people need to understand is that morality is a social construct, morality can only exist if there is something that can comprehend morality. Humans display morality and so do some animals purely because in a society the wellbeing of the group is beneficial to the individual. Yes, some people do lack the sense of morality or have differing opinions on what is morally right or wrong, and thats why morality is subjective. To say morality is contingent on a god is just wrong, i don’t believe in a god but i know if i murder someone it is not beneficial to society and i would then be subject to a punishment put in place by society, unless the person murdered was trying to murder me then self defense could be seen as morally right which is why morality is subjective.
@@Samartitxiki Can you clarify that last paragraph? It sounds like you think murder is wrong only because of the social implications and consequences...
ghouleh * If there is not a punishment for murder i still wouldn’t want to murder because i can understand that those people probably don’t want to be murdered just like i dont want to be murdered... everyone else should feel the same but sometimes people really want to murder so we punish those people usually by putting them in a place that removes them from society. But no, even if this punishment was not in place and there were no consequences of murder, i still would not do it because i would not want someone to think it ok to murder me.
Nim Boo thank you for that glimpse into your mind. I fully understand that some people may think like you, but I wholeheartedly hope that the people that are on the fence about their own beliefs can look at your comment and see an example of a tragic side-effect of religion. Threats are not a very good conversion tactic, btw. Insanity is defined as: extreme foolishness or irrationality Synonymous with: loss of reason Insanity is your religion. For example: It is irrational to put faith into an Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent being with no good evidence to support the claim that this being exists, accepting these claims based on the lack of compelling evidence indicates a flaw in your ability to reason. Whereas atheism is a lack of belief in a god or gods due to the insufficient evidence to reasonably make a definitive claim that such a being exists...... Sounds pretty reasonable to me.
@@thedevilsadvocate5210 That’s a bold claim. The burden of proof is now on you to disprove God’s existence because you made the claim. Unfortunately for you disproving God’s existence is unfalsifiable. Let’s see you prove me wrong. I’ll wait...

David Hopkins: "Do you really have to ask such a question?" Yes I do. Every time Conner told the Terminator he can't kill people, the Terminator asked him the question "why?" Finally Conner ended the conversation with this: "Because you just can't, trust me." I'm Irish and a young woman, apart from the grace of God I know I would have spoken exactly like this lady almost word for word. But what saddens and angers me so much is that she clearly is either lying about the 8th Amendment in the Irish Constitution and its relevance to a sick pregnant woman, or the "pro-choice" lobby in Ireland has been spreading lies about it to impressionable young people who won't read a scrap of primary sources and would believe everything they say. The 8th Amendment would of course give whatever life-saving care to the pregnant mother that is needed, however the wonderful thing about it is that it would ALSO consider how it can perform this care without harming the child to the best of their ability, however care will the given to the pregnant mother that may as an unintended consequence kill the child. This is completely different to intentionally murdering a child in the womb. I wonder how many people in Ireland are supporting the pro-abortion camp because of this lie...
Jeff has met his match with the interruptions…. Whew! I admire his dedication. Most of these conversations are like talking to a wall and he manages to continue engaging.
It's hard to have a discussion if you're not willing to change your mind. If you don't have an open mind then you can't debate, because you're not being fair to your current beliefs and allowing them to be potentially wrong. This woman is smart, but she isn't willing to allow her beliefs to be challenged, she tries a number of techniques to affirm her position: pivoting to avoid answering, trying not to take a clear position to confusingly refute his position, ect.
She just wanted to say "truth doesn't matter" because we have been designed to know the truth is God so our most basic sin instinct is to flee from it, or make up comfortable lies to put ourselves above God.
“So when is it ok to kill a child?” “I....I’m not answering these questions...” I wonder why it’s so hard to answer that questions? People are so blind and stubborn these days.
Streetsdisciple001 the flesh can recreate the flesh but who can create a soul and a spirit to fill the body? See the baby isn’t the mother. I don't try to force God down people's throats but I do know God is eternal. He's not moved. Everyone has the same choice to believe what they want to. As for my choice I will continue to worship the Lord Jesus Christ. I don't have evidence to prove the Bible. I believe by faith ( The evidence of things not seen). However it's every individuals choice to believe or not to believe. To answer your question God is very real to me. If I get to the end of my life and find out I'm wrong. I know I have lived a great life. But if the Bible is true, my heart will feel for the ones that weren't told the truth.

I am surprised she can even walk in a straight line with all of the side stepping she does. Thanks for sharing and God bless.
Marius Vorster I don’t quote verses. I will tell you that God himself is inconsistent. If you read the Bible which as a Christian you should, you will see that he is manic. He says not to kill but commits genocide. No one can ever see him but people have seen him. He is one with Jesus but Jesus speaks TO him. Elijah went up in Heaven but no one other than Jesus himself has gone up to The sacred Heaven. Love one another. Hate anyone who hates me. One of the problems is, that people are sometimes too "smart" for their own good. I know this because I was one of these people before Jesus saved me. We overthink things big time. God made things beautifully simple.

She had no argument because she literally argued with no basis to anything for the sake of arguing the argument...

Well, it’s possible you’re right. I’m going to hear you out and see if you can help me spot a flaw in my reasoning so that I can be more probably correct in the future.
“Someone who thinks that the idea of god doesn’t matter is an atheist.”
Where did you hear that?
But of course, there are some atheists who view this issue and hit a different take-home point:
ua-cam.com/video/-xtN_f2mZ88/v-deo.html
Having said all that, it seems that after he just gets done placating her points about how atheism isn’t monolithic, at 4:49-5:02, but then he starts trying to spell out “what atheism ultimately says” at 6:17-6:36. And he doesn’t even get what I believe, as an atheist, even close to accurate when he says “there’s no meaning, no value, no purpose.” This is truly messy language, and really doesn’t explain what most atheists I know of and respect would never say in such an imprecise and obfuscating manner. It’s almost as if he’s deliberately putting words in her mouth after she identifies as an atheist and then pretends like she’s back-peddling for not holding his straw man position of what atheism “ultimately says”.
But presuppositionalists would never rely on such dishonest word games, would they?

So my point is, when he tries to claim that atheism doesn’t provide the preconditions to complain about a mutilated child, by saying that atheists have no ultimate basis for complaining, he ultimately never really explains why it matters whether we have a basis. He tried several times, but all he did was reassert it over and over in contrast with his straw man of monolithic atheism he pretended to not think is real at the beginning of the video.
Here’s more examples of atheists not fitting his mold of what follows in practice from not being convinced in a god’s existence or in an absolute unchanging moral law:

Then after she accurately calls Jeff out for making atheism sound like a belief system at 9:27-9:46 because he can’t refute it without misrepresenting it, as the diversity between the atheists I just presented demonstrates that he is in fact mislabeling his stawman atheist which says there’s no meaning or value even though that’s not what any atheist I just presented said in any way, nor do any of them necessarily agree on how to view morality despite all subjectively valuing human wellbeing. They also explained precisely why the absence of a basis for morality would make no practical difference in day to day life.
And after she explicitly says she doesn’t have an /absolute belief system/ at 9:46-9:52, his response tells you everything you need to know: “do you believe that?”
What disingenuousness.
Matt Dillahunty did:
ua-cam.com/video/OL8LREmbDi0/v-deo.html
But even if you play that card, it’s okay.
An admission of guilt.
ua-cam.com/video/M7if0BLqI_g/v-deo.html
You haven’t yet played that card, to your credit, so I’ll just let that be a pre-emptive defense that once again demonstrates the juvenility of presuppositionalism.
“She is a representative of herself”
Yes, and I’m a representative of myself and you’re a representative of yourself, and Jeff is representative of all professional pressuppers in some sense but he is ultimately an individual with his own personal perspective devoid of omniscience or anything he would have to need in order to actually be justified in claiming to know with the levels of certainty that he does.
What’s not relevant about the citations of Presuppers being shown for doing what they are doing; putting the cart before the horse and never backing up their assertion that uniformity of nature, Logic, or moral claims, or subjective values all somehow mean a god exists, let alone the Christian god (embarrassing):
ua-cam.com/play/PLkYjGll0E2OBHIyaxSh3IxobqoJ3cIq5u.html
This is simply gaslighting.

Have you ever thought that maybe you are the one with the wrong worldview and that you have been brainwashed into believing atheism is correct?
The pastor clearly demonstrated what a ridiculous worldview atheism is.
Maybe you just don't want to see.
@MusicMadMaurice
Hi Maurice.
@MusicMadMaurice
Yes I know we don't know what caused the universe. But we can logically look at it and come up with logical explanations, and these logical explanations lead to an intelligent uncaused first cause.
Btw I'm not sure why you are trying to bring Dawkins book into this discussion. Let's just stay on topic.
@MusicMadMaurice
@MusicMadMaurice
Back up your assertion by giving us examples of how it has been discredited.

Jeff’s patience is incredible.
(that's not a challenge, I understand spiritual growth into the image of Christ is a process, and if you don't automatically feel a sincere, deep love for anyone and everyone, just pray, read scripture, and thank God for who he is and what he has done for you)
1 Corinthians 13:4-7:
"Love is patient, love is kind.

"I don't believe in personal belief systems, and that's what I believe..."" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hahahahaj, and she cant even grasp it. You cant trick God, the Word is with him, and the Word is He. You cant even think without Him, ahahahah.

Insanity is defined as: extreme foolishness or irrationality
Synonymous with: loss of reason
Insanity is your religion.
For example:
It is irrational to put faith into an Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent being with no good evidence to support the claim that this being exists, accepting these claims based on the lack of compelling evidence indicates a flaw in your ability to reason.
Whereas atheism is a lack of belief in a god or gods due to the insufficient evidence to reasonably make a definitive claim that such a being exists...... Sounds pretty reasonable to me.

I wonder how many people in Ireland are supporting the pro-abortion camp because of this lie...
its called pro-choice, its a common first world view.
Dont try and take your people back to the dark ages.
r u hapa?
The confusion is real in Dublin, had many of these debates with friends and they all collapse in on itself, nicely said
Jeff Durbin is awesome wish more Calvinist were like him & James White is awesome too.
i need to learn more apologetics Xd

Jeff has met his match with the interruptions…. Whew! I admire his dedication. Most of these conversations are like talking to a wall and he manages to continue engaging.
It's really hard to have a discussion with someone who keeps interrupting you...
What in the hell is she talking about!?
She makes absolutely NO SENSE!!!
Wow, haha this is great stuff! love your channel. She has no idea what to say w/out contradicting herself haha
She just wanted to say "truth doesn't matter" because we have been designed to know the truth is God so our most basic sin instinct is to flee from it, or make up comfortable lies to put ourselves above God.
“So when is it ok to kill a child?”
“I....I’m not answering these questions...”
I wonder why it’s so hard to answer that questions? People are so blind and stubborn these days.
@Streetsdisciple001 Yes, it's okay to force a woman not to kill her baby.
Streetsdisciple001 it’s ok for the baby to be punished for the dads actions?
Streetsdisciple001 idk how about you ask a rapist? I’m not forcing them to do anything. I’m forcing the to not kill. Forgive me
Streetsdisciple001 she has every right to what?
Streetsdisciple001 the flesh can recreate the flesh but who can create a soul and a spirit to fill the body? See the baby isn’t the mother. When there is a car crash and a pregnant women dies, it is counted as 2 deaths. Abortion is wrong and deep down inside you you do know it you are suppressing the truth. I’m not angry I just want you to know right from wrong.
Turn to Jesus and you will know real peace! Give your like to Christ
Videas Lol typo! Give your LIFE to Christ!
I liked this comment, as whatsoever I like for the least of these, I like for Him.
Give your like to Christ until it hurts or grows a sore.
How can u give your life to some dude that u can't even see or talk to? you're not even sure he really existed? sounds like delusion, and low self esteem relying on some mythical character to save your ass from your own fuckups.

I understand what you are saying I'm a long way from perfect I still stuff up but I gave my life to Jesus Christ. I do have a personal relationship with him. I do talk to him everyday. I believe the Bible in its entirety. I believe God created the universe. I believe in Gods grace. I don't know all the answers but I have a true peace within my heart that I know because I know that I know. People may call that delusional I don't mind. I'm not moved.
At least the conversation was civil. Keep up the good work that you guys do.
Pastor Jeff, one of the things about you that I really admire and respect is your patience in conversations with unbelievers. Thank you for sharing these conversations with the body of Christ as an example of well reasoned, loving dialogue with those with whom we disagree.
Durbin: "....uh, well, it's really not..." *takes sip of coffee*
She seems to be able to side step the topic at hand as good as, or better than, any politician I have seen. She won't commit to anything, other than committing to nothing and when she finally is force to commit to something she simply says I don't want to talk about that and tries to change the subject again. I am surprised she can even walk in a straight line with all of the side stepping she does. Thanks for sharing and God bless.
She was so inconsistent
Spark 721 so is the Bible
Black Dahlia not really but ok
@@alexrose8299 And you can back that up with a verse? or just keep us in suspense?
Marius Vorster I don’t quote verses. I will tell you that God himself is inconsistent. If you read the Bible which as a Christian you should, you will see that he is manic. He says not to kill but commits genocide. No one can ever see him but people have seen him. He is one with Jesus but Jesus speaks TO him. Elijah went up in Heaven but no one other than Jesus himself has gone up to The sacred Heaven. Love one another. Hate anyone who hates me. She tried to make logical sense but he tripped her up she’s human. But the Bible is EXPLICITLY inconsistent and we don’t attack it.
Christians can and will debate and change everything to make God fit perfection. Accept that he does change his mind.
@@alexrose8299 "I don't quote versus", then you don't have context my friend. You refer to the "Thou shalt not kill" as a person and an "Eye for an eye" collective instruction? Those 2 Statements are atleast 2000 years apart, the context and situation had changed fundamental for the jews.
If you dont have a verse you lose context given by the scripture surrounding it.
If you are sincere in defending your opinion that the Bible is inconsistent and God is a "Manic" as you say, then address them one by one. Otherwise your an naive ideologue and you can take your complaints up with God when you see Him in person...
My Sincere RESPECT for Pastor Jeff,, well prepared, educated, patient and has the necessary zeal to invite people to question their belief system.. It's great how he has the approach and people respond well to him and not overreact that's a gift
I just wish he had the honesty to examine his own beliefs and see that there aren't any logical arguments for belief in god(s). I do agree that he's quite patient and kind in his talks, but there's a lot of dishonesty there too (like all the time spent insisting on talking about atheists claiming gods don't exist, when most atheists are simply non-believers and when you google "atheist definition" you see it's just lack of belief or disbelief in any gods.)
These demons will compel the weak to waste your energy and time. Great job still you gave some of the best arguments.
One of the problems is, that people are sometimes too "smart" for their own good. I know this because I was one of these people before Jesus saved me. We overthink things big time. God made things beautifully simple.
awaken4Jesus Amen
it's so simple. There are no physical processes, just magical sky superheroes!
Jesus did not save you.. You just played mental gymnastics.. You hear deluded voices in your head and label them god... That is what we call schizophrenia..lol
Bwoi Meemz I appreciate your very ignorant comment. Nice try. Actually, not really at all. Jesus did in fact save me, and "voices" had absolutely NOTHING to do with it, friend. I do not hear voices.
Don't be upset with me because you are still lost.
I am not lost.. I just laugh at gullible irrational nutters that convince themselves that there is a supernatural and that they can communicate with it... But when you ask them to prove that they can communicate with the supernatural they then play mental gymnastics.. "Oh but but it's an experience that i can't prove"... You delude yourself about being saved... lol.. Give me some evidence / facts that jesus exists or that he talks to you.. lol
"I'm not answering these heated questions". The cognitive dissonance induced triggering is real.
