This video alone gives me so many ideas on making new beats and fills. Takes a lot of focus to get down but once you have its easy to remember how to play
I’ve spent the last week working on the first two grooves, and look forward to the third. This was an amazing lesson, and it inspired me to create two new grooves. Thanks for gifting us with this knowledge!
Aww Come on, this video was like hearing you breakdown some historical jewels from Bonham. I’m 55 so I grew up listening to the Zep. But this is your original stuff. Sooooo glad you did this. Like always, clear and precise teaching.
oh my! pretty slick from you for putting the third beat in your little dancy rap (well i think they are the same)! great lesson! those beats are sick and not discouraging to learn, thanks!!
Great video Eric, as always you manage to throw in some original and cool stuff into this ocean of drum content. Always looking forward to the next one.
All very cool beats, but that last one is a mind blower. One of the coolest and most complicated beats I have come across. That's an incredibly creative accomplishment to come up with that. It took me many hours to master. I can copy these beats, but creating them out of thin error is the hardest part. Very impressive sir! and thanks for sharing!
whoa! pump the brakes there tiger! That groove just blew my mind apart! I'm 44 and my mind just blew apart all over the ground. thanks for the two bars of killer my friend. super fun and challenging to learn and play. hope all is well.
Haha 🤣 alright man! Thanks so much for watching and commenting. I hope your brain is all back in your noggin and your shredding this on the drums now 🙏🏼👊🏼✌🏼
You are playing ghost notes with the side of the stick on the hi-hats, I play my ghost notes with the tip. It's a reminder that I can play ghost in any position, but it just don't feel natural to me to play a ghost note that way because of the characteristics of the sound.
Hey love your stuff!!! Still working on these grooves...Just letting you know I just posted on my channel, a bunch of Kirk Covington clips i took in Austin in 2015 at the Elephant room... One of a kind clips... some fast samba, funk and blues.
So I came up with these 3 exact beats for the last drum cover I did. They are actually all played in that cover “little drummer boy” the Christmas cover. I listened to the music and tried to come up with parts that would fit the music but also be very spiced up with lots of elements. Thank you for asking!

Last groove had to me the best flow and groove mood on 120 bpm.

The drumming part is impressive, but being able to say LRK in the order of the groove is impressive. I know there is outtakes. Cool video dude.
So glad I found this video so now I have new Beats To practice .excellent you very much
Number three is a monster you have to chunk it off like a half a measure at a time I couldn't nail it in a half an hour
Finally something that I'm excited to learn.
It looks easy. But what I'm noticing is that I'm going to have to learn new muscle memory
Excellent teaching, Very difficult lesson made simple for a beginner

This is NOT CLICKBAIT...These are indeed VERY IMPRESSIVE beats! I'm super curious how you construct these...🥁🎵🎵🤔

Hello what snare do you use here in this video ??
Playing the measures over and over again at slower speeds makes it click! On screen notations spell it out. New subscriber. 🙂
I love that combination of beats! What are the sizes and model of your hi-hats?
Thanks! Meinl Byzance 15” Dual Hats
I don't know exactly the sub-signature but that first one sounds like poly rhythm.
What tom heads are you using? Kit sounds amazing!

I don't know what this says! Can you translate my friend?
@@Fisherdrumming 'This is the bomb, I'll start teaching tomorrow. Thank you'. I'm a bit rusty, but it's something like that.
@@woody4269 Everything is correct, thank you.

Brasil❤
Very interesting how he plays “show must go on” …
Ted Lasso changed his look to Freddie Mercury and became a drum teacher.
Second beat is from a slipknot tune from Iowa if you speed it right up I wanna say Disaster piece
👍👍👍
Hey bro nice grooves, you should realy start by playing the groove instead of explaining super slow. Just a piece of advice, thanks for your work !
