These 3 drum fills are not your normal "pat boone debbie boone" fills, but they're also not overly complex and un-musical or unusable! I came up with these to help drummers think outside the box but still have a musical and useful fill! These fills have some advanced level techniques in them, so they're more fun than a standard rock fill we've heard a million times!

Love this stuff, been playing for over fifty years and still working it. I like to use my left hand after the double kick on fill 3. It;s resting right there anyway. Been using no. 3 for decades but I love how you young guys are absolutelyn killing it! thanks.

pretty sick! Been trying to incorporate toms into the boring four on the floor... was unsure how many toms, what when where... I finally found a drum tutorial that sounds sick, using those toms properly. I LOVE IT! Now all my shit's gonna be tribal asf YAY!!!! :D
Man you are a really amazing teacher! Very similar to Mike Johnston and I've gone back and forth between the two of you on and off for years but you know sometimes you just forget about iStation because you're so overwhelmed and flooded with so many channels and teachers, but I'm going to stick with you for a while now. Could you imagine if we had UA-cam 20 and 30 years ago? 😱 I spent years on VHS videos.

G'day Eric. Another very useful vid. "What do all these fills have in common"? Yes...linear. But so much more. U know how people say they can tell who t drummer is by their style. I've always thought bollocks! But, now I know one. You! And probably t only drummer I think I could guess. In your lessons on fills, the last hh before t fill, u open your hh on that last hit. As u emphasise so much, texture. Sounds great. Clearly. And Happy Easter to u mate🍻✌.
