Honestly saying, I'm actually excited for this movie and it is confirmed to be kind of a reboot of TF movie franchise. I know it doesn't really appeal to u but gonna give u a bit of context. The beast transformers seen in the trailer are from the tv series Beast Wars Transformers back in the 90s. They are faction group called Maximals and are the descendants of the Autobots. The gorrilla (Optimus Primal; not the same character as Optimus Prime), the cheetah (Cheetoh), the eagle (Airazor) and the rhino (Rhinox). Basically, this movie is a sequel to the Bumblebee movie (2018) and all the Autobots designs are faithful to the G1 cartoon and they are teaming up with the Maximals to fight the faction group called Terracons (Scourge, Battletrap and Nightbird), the villians of this movie and I've heard it is going to be a trilogy.
Well my friend. In thy context you have my interest peaked enough that I will probably watch. Just not gonna drop theater money on it. They should probably have had you do the press release. Your description was more exciting than the trailer 😎🤣

@@Phantom_Fireside if you want a test reader I would be happy to oblige. I’ve written 800 pages of a fantasy novel and never had the courage to finish or put it out there.
Suits is an awesome show. It’s one of my wife’s favorites.

Just DISAPPOINTED!!!!!! y'all aren't enjoying Andor. Come on you had to at least like the little red garbage can on wheels* that somehow got a hold of that chip Lt. Commander has been looking for. Understand you said it wasn't "fun" - so what's causing that? Is it that there are no space wizards with laser swords? Too many unfamiliar characters and not enough familiar characters? Is it the slow burn? If it is the entire series follows that pattern. It's told in arcs - two episodes of set up and one episode of action payoff. No cameos without reason - no "fan service". It's a dark and gritty side of Star Wars we've seldom seen. I compare it to Battle Star Galactica (Edward James Olmos) as opposed to Battlestar Galactica (Lorne Greene). It's the birth of the Rebellion and it really doesn't start until the last episode. It's well written, well acted, actually knows where it's going and doesn't include chase scenes where 9 year olds ourtrun adults or poorly conceived villains.
An intriguing idea: Cassian has Superman's backstory - a child, Kassa (Kal-El), escapes from the doomed planet Kenari (Krypton). is adopted by a couple, Clem and Maarva Andor (Jonathan and Martha Kent) who rename him Cassian (Clark), raise him on Ferrix (Earth) and teach him their values and morals. Not believing he's the only survivor he's looking for his sister (cousin), Kerri (Kara).
Luthen Rael (the buyer) has Batman's backstory - while we don't know that his parents died at the hands of the Empire (in a hold up in an alleyway) yet. We do know he has marvelous gadgets, a hidden lair, a secret identity (Luthen is the disguise, "the buyer" is the real personality - parallel of Bruce Wayne/Batman), apparent wealth, a Robin/Alfred who keeps him in check (Kleya / Dick Grayson), other Robins who work for him, Vel (Tim Drake) and Cinta (Jason Todd), associates not so closely in the loop, Mon Mothma (Batgirl) and others (you haven't gotten there yet). There are Easter Eggs in Luthen's shop - set decoration had a ball - from Starkiller's Dark Side helmet to plaques featuring the hands of the gods of Mortis.
And who knew anything about Mon Mothma before this???? Some people didn't realize that was Mon Mothma.
What can you expect - I can only give hints not spoilers. Last I heard you were up to Episode 4 so..........
(5) another slow one - the thing to focus on is the Manifesto
(6) The Celestial Phenomenon - reminiscent of the Northern Lights - but deadly
(7) a break in the pattern - an interlude at Space Miami
(8) It's circus here (7 rings)
(9) What are they building?
(10) The way of water (no it's not blue people) and the sound of silence
(11) Where does he get those toys? and a Pick Floyd reference
(12) It all comes down to Maarva (Why did you say that name?) and This Is Ferrix!!
And (unusual for Star Wars) a post credit scene - I predicted it but not in exact detail.

* C3P0 is a descendant of Futura (Maria) - the robot in Fritz Lang's Metropolis. R2D2 is descendant of Huey, Dewey & Louie - the robots in Silent Running (starring Bruce Dern). B2EMO (Be too Emotional) is a descendant V.I.N.C.E.N.T. and Old B.O.B - the robots in (Disney's) The Black Hole.
Too much here ti respond to all but I am convinced we need to finish it at least. If I can’t convince John to finish it then i will finish myself. But the parallels you drew for me were amazing. Dead serious, you’re a space wizard with all this wonderful knowledge.
The thing that gets me with this is the slow burn. I’ll be dropping episode one tonight. Little red can droid is definitely a Wall-E rip off. 😎👍😉

Yawn. Could never stand beast wars. Some of the worst writing. There are so many G1 stories that could be told.
I never even knew about it. If I watch it won’t be theater money. That’s for sure.
I get that you might not like beast wars, but saying it has the worst writing is kind of an untrue statement as it is generally said to be the best transformers show.
@@12345scary I haven’t heard one way or the other. I was an 80s kid. Transformers was awesome in the 80s but I was really never into it. I honestly NEVER heard of Beast Wars. This is the first time. I can’t say it wasn’t good writing. But how great could it have been if I never once heard of it until now. 🤷♂️🤷♂️. I’ll watch the movie and see how it turns out. Can’t be worse than Dial of Destiny
That’s an opinion but one surprisingly in the minority, the beast wars was one of the very best transformers cartoons, it’s up there with G1, Prime and Animated as the top top shows
