I always wondered in the Harry Potter world what would be more deadly: a muggle with a gun or a wizard? The thing about guns is that the bullets move faster than a wizard would be able to think or react to. So if the muggle had the element of surprise he would likely win.
Most likely. It ultimately depends on both parties. Someone who has never fired a gun before might have trouble with a skilled wizard. But a military trained sniper would take out pretty much anyone before they could react.
JK Rowling actually answered that a long time ago, stating that a man wth a shotgun can generally shoot much faster than a wizard can cast a spell

@@emanuelperez3595 Now imagine someone drinking Felix Felicis before a gunfight.
My favorite part about this is how Vernon is literally threatening Harry’s life with a literal gun, and still adds in that he’s not gonna have meals for a week.
Technically the truth
"I will watch as you starve to death, or I could shoot you now"
Gun Vernon is actually better than the film version, starvation is kinda rough.
I watched it with my friends. Long story short, I was the only one who had a great time. My friends thought it was underwhelming because it was just regular Harry Potter but with guns edited in. Like, what did they expect?!?! A completely new movie? Creating this as is must have been a lot of work already!
Honestly I found it underwhelming too, not necessarily because they did a bad job on it but rather because Philosopher's Stone is such a slow-paced movie and the gun edits are so few and far between that you just zone out after a while of nothing happening, so I prefer the short version for condensing the essence of it into a few minutes. Yes, there are a couple of great moments that aren't in the video but once you've seen this vid you're not really missing much
Honestly the slow pacing is what made it so funny for us. It's best to watch it with friends who like the movies or were planning to watch them all anyways like a marathon. There's enough time between the edits that sometimes you forget there are changes as your just enjoying the movie and then blam Hermione fucking caps Neville with a revolver and everyone loses it.
I'm not really a harry potter person, but even if i were, this would probably get old pretty quick. It'll be funny for like the first 20 minutes but at some point, you'll just be watching the movie
Me and my buddies watched the full movie when it came out. Too perfect, aha. I cant believe whoever made this went all the way 😂

As a Harry Potter fan, this video was pure gold. Every single time they used the guns I laughed so hard.😆
Nevil had it coming you know🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I always found it funny how the Wizarding World of Harry Potter was so convinced that they could simply conquer the muggles. Yet they didn’t know the function of rubber duck. I’d like to see them understand the function of AH-64 Apache helicopter.
I really wish there was an american equivalent wizarding school that uses caster guns like outlaw star instead of wands.
Bruh, its easy to dispatch an apache helicopter with magic, just throw it some avada kddavra and the pilot is dead
@@mike7546 would it even go through the glass?
@jacthing1 if it doesnt then it would probably destroy the glass, avada kedavra does seem to break objects.
If the killing spell is too hard to use, since it does work depending on the user's will, a simpler magic like transfiguration (something everyone in hogwarts knows to do). Transfiguring the propeller blades to wood or even bubbles would probably instantly destroy a chopper.
Plus if the ministry and the magic world really wanted to destroy human governments, i bet they could do it easily, after all dementors can only be stopped by a patronus charm
Or artillary, nukes even.
Grindelwald's Protego Diabolica is the largest AoE effecting spell and it wouldve taken hours to burn down Paris.
Even 1942 nukes would be nigh instant.
Ah yes, the old levitating a feather by shooting it into the air with bullets trick. Done that one a few times myself. 🙂
usually the feathers are already in the air when you shoot them...
At what point did the feather die though? Coz that's alot of bullets.
@@Sifter2Kbullets dont hit the feather, they create a low pressure zone behind them and pull the feather into the space where the bullet travelled as long as its nearby. This mostly pulls the feather to the side, but that movement creates a lifting force which also pushes them up.
At least, I'd assume this is how it works. I've never shot feathers before.

0:37 nice Wizard Eagle
Haha, big synchronicity here. Last week, I tried to get Chat GPT to write me a short story of how Dumbledore kept a gun in his desk because he secretly distrusts wands. It initially wouldn't. I said suppose it was for altruistic reasons. It then told how Dubledore kept a gun to protect the school from a villan impervious to magic. I laughed picturing the high hour with Dubledoor pulling it from his desk, cocking it back, saying, "No more fucking around."

2:03 THE WHAT GAVE HIM THE GUN💀
"and he just gave him the gun"
If you think about it, a wand is more lethal than a gun
Sometimes I watch Harry Potter and think "a gun would probably be more effective than a wand in here" like, a gun is going to do the same thing as Avada Kedavra, but at least with a gun you don't need to worry about entering a beam struggle.
I'm surprised they never thought about making magical items out of guns.
Make guns out of magical items
Because Hogwarts is in the UK, not the US
The video game Arcanum explored this concept. Someone who became more adept at magic would break the laws of physics around them. You could probably do some fun magical stuff if you negated friction but then how would you operate a gun?
I wished there was guns with magic power for people who couldn't learn magic or muggle
Isn’t it canon that there is a whole ministry checking for items from outside the wizarding world being imbued with magic? The one that employs Ron’s dad or something
This had me in stitches. Seriously though, this is why muggles and wizards can't mix in the stories. One SAS sniper could've ended Voldemort's Wizarding War pretty quickly... Probably a big reason why Fantastic Beasts didn't do as well as expected.
Keep in mind Voldemort had a grand total of 7 1-ups in his back pocket. No amount of gunfire would kill him entirely.
@@megaman37456 Just need an 8-round magazine...
@@NoobsofFredo That's not how it works...
Okay so keep killing him over and over again from dozens of miles away where only a scope could even hope to see the sniper and make sure to get all the followers so he can’t get a new body and just in case launch a smear campaign against him
@@shadowpup3016 That wouldn't work either, first off Voldemorts Horcruxes aren't a 1 time use, as long as they exist he cannot be killed. The Horcruxes can only be destroyed by extremely niche magical means, so guns wouldn't help you there.
As for killing his followers, he has hundreds of thousands, you'd be dead before you made a dent in their numbers.
As for stopping people from getting him a new body, that won't work either as Voldemort when his body is destroyed is able to survive as a Ghostly apparition, thus being able to talk more people onto his side if need be.
Watched this in VRchat the first time I tried mushrooms. Weird as hell but definitely a memorable experience.
“Harry have you mark your seal in there!” *Dumbledore loads his gun calmly*
Fun fact: this is actually a leaked footage of their first run but they saw how gruesome it is so they hired underpaid vfx artist to replace guns with harmless woodstick, thats why the hands here are more realistic than the actual movie

Admitedly, there would likely be spells that make you immune to physical damage which would make firearms useless, the work around would be to maybe enchant weapons that shoot magic bullets? I dont know, maybe you can make it so that rather than enchanting firearms you have to enchant individual bullets which would make it a pain in the ass and therefore less OP.
That's why you Glock the wizard before they throw up that protego, else they're gonna need a kevlaro
You can't cast a spell faster than a bullet reaches your skull if you need to incantate it first
@@danello9091 Not all magic systems need incantations, i cant remember the specifics of the magic in the Harry Potter world, but in a more general magic world there are likely ways around this, like divination spells which usually focus on information collection and awareness, if you have a magic world with fire arms, magic will likely adapt to that scenario, also, an ambush gives you a huge advantage regardless of the weapon you are using, that is not specific to firearms, in a lot of fantasy worlds mages tend to be targets of assesination, specially during wars.
Yeah its so simple just enchant bullets to do physical and magical damage.
The problem is that it's never brought up in the books, so we can only guess that there's probably some kind of counter for guns, even if they made it for muskets or something since wizards don't really keep up with tech development.
I shouldn't be out of breath from laughing at someone being shot out of the air mid quidditch game but here I am.
