Hey✌️ I know I'm a little late but I just wanted to say thanks for the idea of keeping the ring around the projector chrome. I did the same and it's the perfect accent to the new black housing.
Thank you, I was hoping to upgrade a 2015 XV Crosstrek with the Diode products and your install should have enough similarities to make this go more smoothly.
C Lights take the headlights to a whole new look IMO. It’s fun and pretty in depth, but not that difficult. Resealing them is the worst part. Hoping you got it done right so it doesn’t leak.
Just viewed this. Nice how you left some of the chrome on the projector. Been thinking of doing the same when I paint mine this weekend ... I might mask it up a bit higher to the next larger ring point to make it a bit more "eye-ball-like." Will also try masking with the c-light in place, heard that was easier in order to maintain the chrome finish behind. Nice job, thanks for the vid.
Thanks. I noticed that people mostly just paint everything and I wanted to do a subtle change. I won’t lie. It’s a little bit of a pain, but worth the extra effort! Good luck on the project! I thought it was pretty fun to do.
Hey man, awesome video. I have two questions. The parking light hole that you route the wiring for the C light through is now no longer sealed right? Doesn't this cause dust and stuff to get in it? Also where did you get your front and rear emblem badges? All the ones I can find have a different, flatter look to them and yours look just like what I want for my car. Thanks.
Hi Subie, you look like you did a nice professional job compared to other you tubers doing what you did with the C-lights. Curiosity the work that you did similarly, how much would a mechanic charge on the outside for replacing the C-lights with an LED?
Not sure why there are so many videos that suggest heating the headlights in the oven. I just did this today with ambient temp at 72° and had no problem pulling the headlights apart.
I really like how in depth your video goes. Am curious tho, do you think the c light output was worth the time it took to tape off before painting? I’m getting ready to do my headlight project soon and was curious?
Not my build but I actually build lots of them. This model is already painted. If you have the chrome one, dont waste your time masking underneath because the light is not being reflected.
So today I installed my c lights but I can’t get them to come on. When I hook them to the blinker they work I just can’t get the white to come on. Can anyone please help?
Hey man! Old vid but did you need to buy any drl harness or anything since it’s a wrx? Or did everything needed come with the kit you bought? Thanks in advance 🙏
Randomodbuild Are you referring to the ring around the halogen bulb? I left that silver for a little bit different look. Painting the housing of the headlights doesn't affect the light output and is completely safe. It's just cosmetic.
Morimoto RetroRubber. I purchased it from SubiSpeed when I placed the order for the C lights. It was an additional $17. If you're careful you can get away without it, but like I said in the video. Better be safe than sorry!
austin lo At 5:50 I say that I masked off the ring and the C Light area. It was a pain in the butt to do, just used frog tape for masking. It literally took me FOREVER. Sorry I painted my headlights months before I got the DD C Lights
austin lo awesome man, Good luck and take your time! Hellas... Easiest play to mount them IMO is where I put mine. There are already some holes there perfect for mounting if you don't have a bracket to use. Otherwise they are pretty straight forward also! Tell me how it all worked out for you!
this is how I did it without the harness. you shouldnt have to cut anything, just feed the wires thru the hole that the oem bulbs are supposed to go. Its pretty easy to do!
quick question. only one side of my blinker works. any suggestions? plugged them in the same way not sure whats wrong...also whats the purpose of the black wire?
I just order this, but I’m lost to the part where It doesn’t shows where the c light cable is connect too. All the plugs n plays where connected but not the C light connector need help 😥
The connector that's on the C Light will plug into the other end of the harness that has the red slip-on connectors (Red, Black, White, Yellow, wires with Controller box) Hopefully that makes sense.
Jason Gardner 120 degrees for like 10 minutes and you should be good. Just hot enough to get the glue soft. My other headlight how-to video has that info.

So i just bought a 2018 subaru wrx with an ets intake and aftermarket exhaust. Previous owner flashed the ecu back to normal, i notice car wasn’t properly running, was idleing below 0 and turning off, i bought an accessport and got a stage 1 v302 91 normal west gate and it kinda fixed the rough idle.... I want to get a tune for it but i have no idea what tune is good for that ets intake, done research and have a huge headache. Any suggestions? Thank you for your time!
@@itsmeecjay4769 What kind of exhaust are you running? Catback, turboback? I know Cobb has a free map on their site for ETS intakes. It's hard to find I think, but I know it's there. Maybe try putting that map on and see how it runs. Otherwise I'd probably get an e-tune based on the mods you have.
Awesome tutorial. Appreciate the effort and revision of instruction on the take down of the headlight. Overall a solid 10/10
Thank you so much, I really appreciate the feedback. I’m glad you found this helpful!
love the back wall of garage my man
Thanks! Small collection of my years of skating.
Looks good my bradda!!!!🤙

Nice job
Definitely makes a more aggressive look
Awesome 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻✌🏻👍🏻

Dope tutorial, all you need is some led low beams and high beams 👌
Totally agree! Thanks, I appreciate it 👌

Can these work in a subaru Impreza I sport Sedan 2013
Not sure why there are so many videos that suggest heating the headlights in the oven. I just did this today with ambient temp at 72° and had no problem pulling the headlights apart.
Did you paint over the reflector on the headlight?
Is this how to do it without the drl harness? The one that connects to the high beam resistor (I think it's what it's called).
How did you secure all the wires?
So why do the regular DRL's stay on while you have the c light DRL's?
I really like how in depth your video goes. Am curious tho, do you think the c light output was worth the time it took to tape off before painting? I’m getting ready to do my headlight project soon and was curious?

What kind of paint did you use
Do you by any chance know which one is the turn signal one for a 21 year model? Looks like I have 4 wires going to mine none of them are blue
Any corrosion?
Where did you get your lip from?
So today I installed my c lights but I can’t get them to come on. When I hook them to the blinker they work I just can’t get the white to come on. Can anyone please help?
You put these in 3 years ago, how are they holding up???
Hey man! Old vid but did you need to buy any drl harness or anything since it’s a wrx? Or did everything needed come with the kit you bought? Thanks in advance 🙏
Hey! Nope, I didn’t get any kits for this. Everything was included 👍
Is the headlight chrome for a reason? Does painting it remove some of the safety functions?

What kinda sealant strip is that and where can I get some

Do you have a vid on painting your headlights? i like the ring by the low beam. did you just tape it off? how did you do it?

cool installing everything sunday :) also installing my hella horns. any tips? also painting my sharp tones red

ill send you a before and after pic on my insta ill follow you now
So how has this kit held up since you've had it? Any condensation in the lights or issues with the LEDs?
Aaron Younger They are great! Nothing has gone wrong with them. LEDs are all still going strong! I love them.
are they still doing good?
I want to do this, but I'm not sure if I will have to dremel/drill out a hole to feed the drivers wire trough the back of the headlight.

Subie Shakedown when you feed the harness through the oem bulb hole, did you plug it with anything or is it still open?
Moises Lopez it's still open. I keep meaning to go find a rubber grommet at a hardware store though.
Where can I get the led strip you have over the fog lights?
Btw great vid👍🏼
Subispeed
@@Tombosdrunk thank you mate !!!
Any news for the coilovers???
Yeah man, Gonna do a review/update video real soon, now that I just hit 4 months with them!
nice setup bro..what kind of front lip you rocking?
It's an Ikon Motorsports. I have a video on that also 👍

All this baking a headlight and no one has said what temp. and for how long... Don't want to melt my headlights

Thanks! Looking at getting a WRX Base myself, and the first thing I'm going to do is matte black the headlights.

What intake and map do u have in ur car ?
Mishi 3" Race Intake. I have a video on that also. I had a tune done by torqued performance after I put on a j pipe.

Subie Shakedown i have a cat back exhaust. And i checked and they dont gave maps for ets anymore or atleast thats what i was told. Thank you man!
@@itsmeecjay4769 Yeah I just checked too. Sucks they took it down! Hit up Eric at torqued and he can help you get squared away. 100% worth it!
I threw away all my old decks, at least as many as you have, probably way more. Your wall makes me sad. Looks great though
You don't have to take ur bumper off, all you have to do is remove intake cover/vent and move battery and done...
