Little follow up. I've install the DD c-lights in my car. Currently I do NOT have the DRL function, but DD is shipping a free DRL harness for the early pre-orders. My thoughts. It's amazing. They make my base model WRX look better than a limited. Feels like a high quality product. Little touches like the braided cable sleeves, and sealed drivers go a long way. BTW DD now charges $20 more for these because they include the DRL harness in the order.
Avoid the DRL harness like the Plague it is pure trash, does not work and full of troubles. I was given two of them, one as replacements and both were problematic. Just tore them out and installed a single direct wire to the green line off the OEM DRL resistor located in the space in front of the front right wheel. You can access this when you take the front bump off for installation. It is simple, solid performing and very cheap to do.
I think the flashing on the DD lights in the video was due to the fact they they have a lower setting for the driving lights. My guess is that its using pulse width modulation or TRIAC similar to what you see in dimable LED bulbs for the home. They refresh the LEDs at a speed that creates less light output but is not detectable to the human eye; the camera however picks it up. electrical-engineering-portal.com/how-to-dim-led-lighting-in-the-home In DRL mode they are at full brightness for daytime use and probably won't flicker on the camera.
Ok so I'm still learning, are these LED? I just want my C's to be really bright and work along with my running lights, should I just add LEDs myself? Im not all to interested in that turn signal jazz.
They are LED but they are not as bright as most DRL you see from the factory. I have not been able to confirm side by side but casual observation says the DD are the brighter of the two.
On the forester you use the legacy c-light - www.lightwerkz.net/index.php/led-lighting/diode-dynamics-modules-boards/boards/diode-dynamics-2015-2016-subaru-legacy-c-light-switchback-led-boards.html
I agree and disagree. I have Morimoto Switchback atm. wires do not have protective sleeves and ballasts look like they won't last longer. However, I like the color temperature better on Morimoto.
+Daniel Singh yeah it's all about the preference. led lowbeam lights are slightly brighter although it states they are 5000k. HID kits are more natural to me.
Fox Stowe im just going to wait till the new head lights come . I've gone threw five drivers man its annoying 2 days ago both my clight went out they suck

Gothca... thanks for the info.
The Flicker is due to frame rate difference between the blink of the LEDs and the camera
are the Morimoto XSB C-Light Kit the same size as Kaizen C-Lights???
Do you have C-light for subaru xv crosstrack 2016
I have the Morimoto and on a bright day or under direct sunlight they don't seem that bright. (Otherwise they look great) Are the Diode any better?
So the Morimoto has one brighness setting? Is is comparable to the high or low setting of the DD light?

Yes these are LED based. Check out the video here - ua-cam.com/video/gAt0srSvBnk/v-deo.html
i know how you feel man, that turn signal shit is fucken lame. i just want them led's

can I ask how much you charge to install these?
can you wire them to daytime wiring?
Can it be fit on a 2018 Subaru Forester 2.5i premium?thanks

Which matches the limited led headlights better?
Diode Dynamics
Is dd plug n play? I feel you have to splice at some point?
Yes ideally you want to solder into the stock wiring with either kit. You can use wire taps, check out Posi - lock wire taps, they are great
@casiotechI It is not plug and play. You need to tap into the wiring. Easy enough though.
which ones match the OEM S4 fog light LEDs better?
Diode.
The DD is much better.

+WRX Channel I prefer the color on DD it's more white to me. The morimoto is too blue. Still, I dog the channel
+Daniel Singh yeah true. it's more natural. but it won't match my OLM Alpha HD Led.

+WRX Channel True, I guess whatever matches your headlights the best.
i have the morimoto they suck ! the keep on going out on me !
same :/ the connection is funky and it constantly flickers. Might switch to the DD
Fox Stowe
im just going to wait till the new head lights come . I've gone threw five drivers man its annoying 2 days ago both my clight went out they suck
do NOT use that t10 connector. Solder all the wiring!
