I’m so glad I found your channel. I can’t stand reading or even audible books 😂🤣 but for the past almost a week now I’ve been watching every one of your videos and absorbing so much detail and information it’s crazy. Thanks a lot man!!!
I'm glad I found this video cause I was low-key freaking out the other day when I got -1.4 on the feedback knock. Just bought my WRX and it had some mods done to it with all paperwork to show what was done...glad it's normal.
Anybody can learn so much from your videos man. I currently do not have an AP or a tune, I still have warranty so really didn’t wanna mess with that to much but when it’s time it’s good to know I can always go back to your videos, no matter what I plan on doing with my car to find the info I need. As always, great video and looking forward to the next!!
AF Learning 1 is also a good one to monitor. It will let you know if fuel is being added or removed which can clue you into intake leaks or failing fueling components or sensors.
Fantastic video, i bought a WRX, and i received a cobb AP has gift, wish i can buy a sti, unfortunately no longer on prod. I look everywhere on net and you tube to figure out the AP. I watch your videos, simply outstanding man!!! Keep going on making such informative and interesting content! Thank you….
Great info here bro, I really appreciate it. It's hard for me to trust what values are "normal" or not without hearing the throttle condition (WOT, light throttle, or idle). According to Cobb, the DAM is within "normal" behavior at 0.6-1.0 on the FA20DIT during all throttle conditions. On feedback and fine knock, 0 is normal at idle and corrections of 0-4 at other throttle conditions. I just installed mine last week with a Stage 1 +BigSF 93 tune and my DAM went to .75 and then .83 and back to .75 during some spirited driving today. Also seeing the feedback and fine knock hit -2.88 at throttle conditions other than idle. At idle they will always return to 0. I'm trying to understand what is truly normal, and what is potentially harmful. Lol sorry for the long comment, but you seem to know your stuff, and I could always use some input.
No worries! If I ever see DAM drop and feedback knock increase its a good sign something is going on. I don't generally pay much attention to fine knock learn or AF correction but they Re also good gouges to keep an eye on. If you see increased knock without DAM changing it could be a rattle, heat shield thats loose, road noise or bumps. Don't let the anxiety port push you too far. Just use it as a reference
@@Smeedia so an update, my DAM went back to 1.000, feedback and fine knock don't fluctuate nearly as often, and this is while still driving spirited lol. I guess the ECU had to learn :)
Dude thanks for this! After my ProTune I had no idea what to look for in my Accessport once they hooked it up! P.S. got in an accident last night with my Celica (100% other drivers fault) and this really helped when laying in bed this morning recovering. Keep the content coming man it means a lot to people like me
Really appreciate the feedback and the support, sorry to hear about the celica and accident 😫 hopefully nothing to messed up and you have a speedy recovery. Glad that the video helps to understand the Valuss a little more 😁
Just bought a 2003 wrx with 91k original miles and I swear since I’ve got the AP set up I’m constantly finding myself looking at it and making sure my values are good 😅
Thank you! And I don't see a need for oil temp in the car, but we have an AEM Oil pressure gauge already installed. One of my previous install videos 😅
I was driving today. dam dropped to .859, then I had a constant fine knock learn at and low load 1.05 to 0 to .37 constant at 2 and half rpm never going back to 0. Never had feedback knock 2.45 but never changed in a 45 min drive
I installed an APv3 on my 19 Sti this morning. I run 94 OCT which Cobb says is like ACN91 trash fuel. Fair enough. Subie mechanic at the dealership who owns a 20 STi tells me..."never run lower than 94 man". I install Cobb's Stage 1 ACN91/CAD94 LGW map and on the way to work this morning, I notice I'm getting -1.4 feedback knock, DAM is steady at 1.00. Hit a safe little dead end street to see what is happening at WOT. It hit 18.2lbs of boost which is a bit high for LWG, feedback knock and DAM are steady, -1.4 (I watched it hit that live right around 5000k) and DAM at 1.00. Understanding thanks to you, that hitting -1.4 is "normal", should I even bother trying the Normal Waste Gate map? I plan to get a pro dyno tune, but back logs are ridiculous. I am installing the SF+ intake this weekend and will go to the appropriate tune, starting at low waste. Should I go to 91OCT tune? 91 Shell V-Power and Canadian Tire 91 fuel is top tier rated, but it's 0 ethanol which I damn well know is better for knock reduction.
When I got my AP I thought the -1.4 knock was the worst- stressed me out to the point I was monitoring all cylinders 😂 Now it’s just another “small number” and realising the heat shield on the headers was loose 😂 But only a -1.4 to -2.80 on my wrx at 125k miles isn’t bad!
Planning on buying a used 2015 sti and I’m trying to see if I can use the port to my advantage and best of my ability . See if anything’s wrong . Thanks for the vid
According to Cobs website "zDEBUG are a series of monitors that are occasionally used by COBB staff to aid in diagnosis. Should support require their use, COBB will specify which monitors to log." So i would assume the zDEBUG is for COBB only diagnostics.
@@Smeedia Yea, I was trying to decide between that and the "Tuff" SKU. Sounded like Stage 2 was all I "needed". At some point, I'll head back in for the tune against the re-build!
i just picked up a 2015 WRX and started modifying it. This was an awesome video for me. I'm also curious about what mount you have for your AccessPort?
My dam went to .750 today and anxiety went through the roof. Knock is normal at 1.41 or 2.81 so I’m not going to worry too much. Hoping just fuel issue or cause it was wicked hot today
This may be a stupid question, but why monitor boost or coolant temp, when they are already on the dash? Are the readings on the analog coolant temp, or digital boost gauge unreliable? Also, you're videos have been incredibly informative! And you taking the time to individually respond to comments and questions is awesome!
The coolant temp is one I moniter ever now and then after dlong something to the cooling system just to make sure temps are good from a data standpoint. As for boost, I dont trust the stock boost gauge lol
Good stuff as always brother, thanks again for your time and the awesome info my G , getting ready to swap out my fuel pump so i can run flex fuel 🔥💯😤😎✌🏽
Bro your videos are fucking awesome I have been watching them all day and I don't even drive a Subaru lol wished I could find some honda tuning videos this in depth and explantitive
I just got my accessport today! Im so freaking excited, now just need a downpipe and Ill be ready to schedule my protune. Do you ever use the anti-theft MAP? Im guessing flashing the ECU every night before I go to bed with it isnt realistic, lol. Im just paranoid where I live, I had my 2003 Bugeye stolen last year from in front of my house. Which did eventually lead to my 2017 WRX, so good and bad.
I wish I could fit the fine knock learning monitor in but I’m out of room :(. Feedback knock, DAM, fuel pressure final, coolant temp, ethanol final, boost, and a wideband AFR mounted. I recommend anyone running a Cobb flex fuel kit to monitor ethanol final. I’ve had trouble with these kits a few times and the car will think it has E10 in it when it really has a much higher concentration of ethanol. VERY DANGEROUS! I guess you would see it in your AFR but still! Nice video keep up the great work!
Do you have a video of a reliability build? Like if you were to modify a car but go for the best reliability for the wrx/sti platform what mod path you would specifically do and specifically avoid? Would be curious to see that!
I follow your UA-cam channel I bought a 18 sti about 2 months ago o have been in love with these cars my entire life but I know absolutely nothing about cars in general I’ve learned so much from your channels and I go with your opinion and direction over anyone else who maybe does things different keep making videos bro I do have a question and I can’t seem t find an answer anywhere I have an 18 all stock no mods I bought it used an old man had it ans it only had 40 k on it o got my access port in a few days ago I’m on stage one + sf on 93 gas my dam and feed bak knock along with fine knock learn have been at 0 they have not moved once in days until today I get getting reading of 1.4 consistently in 3 hear when I get to around 6k rpms it’s adjusts it’s self goes back to 0 immediately same with fine knock learn dam is 1 that has not moved at all thank you baby Jesus bc I love this car. I named her Stephanie like I said not once did I get anything from either knock sensor until today. I wouldn’t be concerned but it’s pretty consistent it will go to one 1.4 then 1.05 then .7 then ,35 and feed back knock fixes it. And it will be fine and then later it will do it again it’s also been very hot these last few days my intake temp will be around 80 idel and drops as I drive sometimes low like 30. Air fuel is text book coolant also text book:. Also I’m installing a Cobb air oil separator 3 port boost controller Turbo inlet pipe Bpv Intake (already installed) Then a invidia catted divorcée wastegate dp with a r400 Gemini cat back And fuel system Cobb pump Cobb regular kit And new injectors Problem is it’s all coming at different times everything but the fuel and cat back I have I’m looking at 2 weeks for them to get here so we’re installing the Aos Boost controller Bov Inlet hose And intake Then in a week or so after Dp Catback Fuel system My tuner said he would bend me a map so I can do the first set of installs and drive with them until I get the Other stuff on and then will send another map so I can drive it there to get the tune I hiysss my 2 questions are 1 my is my knock acting up now 2 is it smart to drive with one set of mods on and not the others even with a map for it ? I have typed this question in a million different ways and can’t dine and answer you’d a pro with this shit can you please help me last thing I want to do is damage this car I got a separate extended warranty for this car to cover my ass bc I know sub will void it Can you help me what the answer to the knock issue it always ones in 3rd ay 6k and 4th around the same all other heats are fine again it’s been hot and I used a different gas station this time it said 93 but it’s probably watered down should I be worried And should I do one set of mods then the other ? If you could answer that It would be helpful and put me at ease I’m a worry wart and especially with my car I vacuum it every other day wash it every week change oil at 2700 miles
For the knock issue OTS maps are just prone to it happening, a loose heat shild or even. Pot hole can set it off. -1.40 & -2.80 are normal to see as well if you start seeing your DAM drop and feedback knoxk kncrease then you have an issues. As for the installs I wojld do them all at once but thats just my personal preference for installing parts. Just stay out of boost and you should be fine until your protune
Smeedia_ I want to buy I’m so impatient so the map that I’ll be using until the down pipe and exaust goes on will probably only let me boost Norman stock numbers until the exhaust goes on and the fuel system This would keep me from putting to much on my bottom end and not screw with my timing and fuel pump right? I’d that’s not the case then I will just wait it out
Smeedia also my dam has no moves from 1 since install either has both my knock sensors until today and that bugged me I’m a hypochondriac when it comes to my car
Love your videos man! I didn't know that you lived here in WA too! I live in enumclaw I hope I get to meet you in person one day man! Keep up the great videos!
It would void warranty if you installed it, and Cobb is really the only ones who sell tuning devices unless you go open source. Appreciate the feedback 🔥🙌
So I have an ‘05 that’s had quite the amount of work done to it prior to my purchasing of it. It was built and tuned professionally and the car drives great. I just learned about DAM and decided to put that on my V3 monitor. It reads 1.0 like it should for every other sti that’s not my generation. What would be a reasonable explanation for this? Is it fair to think that maybe the ECU was changed in this car with the IAG short block? It’s a Tuff 2 short block so idk if that build would represent itself differently to the access port or what. Idk. Just looking for some guidance to know how I should be looking at this
I just bought a 2021 wrx only have 4K left on the car as well as 4K miles on it 😂 I installed some axel backs and bought the V3 AP and it’s literally just sitting here because I’m not going to settle for a ots tune or a Etune and being in SoCal there’s really only 1 place I know being a reputable pro-tuner shop, I’m so crossed between if I should stay within warranty or just void the thing 😓 Im also skeptical on a 91 tune, to my understanding FA’s do better on flex fuel? Idk so much anxiety, so many questions 😅
Etunes are fantastic options my man! My 650WHP 05 STI was Etuned and it was perfect. Just need to contact a few e tuners that can help! But if you want a dyno tune that's also a good option 🔥 They do love some E85 🔥
Nice video mate. Keep up making great content. Unfortunately in kenya we have JDM subbies and we don't have accessport. what i personally use is a OBDlink MX pro hooked up with an android app called BtSsm (bluetooth subaru select module) to act like an accessport for me.
A week later report! There are times my fine knock learn goes to -1.4, -2.8 which you say is normal and it’ll randomly go to -5 for like a second then back to 0. DAM has never moved off of 1. Feedback is usually at 0 but moves around at times too. Ya, I see why ppl call it anxiety port. Lol
Can a loose brake calliper be picked up as a knock by the sensor? I am getting DAM values in the range of .37 to .44. I have a 2015 WRX Limited, and I just bought a Cobb access port and I am using the 91 octane map. The car runs well, and certainly runs much better than it did with the stock map. From the video and the comments I can appreciate that the DAM is very important, but that it can also be thrown off by noise coming from loose heat shields, etc. unfortunately, no one has been able to figure out where the clunk comes from when I go over a bump without the brakes applied. It looks like I’m stuck with this clunk for some time. Could that be throwing off the DAM or is that range of low values so concerning that I should immediately get it looked at? The only other thing I’ve noticed since changing the matter is that my gas mileage is about 15% worse.
Where can I look to see what the values should be for a 2020 wrx..I looked on cobb and I can't find the list..im looking for hopefully a list that says what each gauge monitor is with what the associated value is next to it... Just had a protune done and I have no clue what I'm looking at lol
For mine I use boost , speed , knock feedback, knock learn , AF ratio and dam I use to run RPMS but had to make room for the knocks after watching this
Huge fan. Videos are very helpful as a beginner in the STi world. Random question but... where did you get the big grey storage shelf we see in the video???

Hey brotha just came across this video had a question about the Dynamic advance multi. Mine just went down to .688 but the rest is 0.00 on the feedback knock and fine knock learning ? Should it be fine or be concerned ? Pls help thanks 🙏🏽 appreciate your vids by the way and congrats on the new build ! Hope to see at SubieFest 🤙🏽😎
Hey man, love the content! Been a big help on understanding my accessport and its functions! Any experience with the maperformance stage 1 93 oct tune?
Opinions on how accurate the boost readings on the MFD are? I usually compare that and AP readings and they’re usually within 1-2 points off each other.
Comparing them I've always seen the OE display read slightly lower or can't keep up accordingly. The signal has to be read, sent to the ECU then set to the display
Just got pro-tuned before the cobb update goes into effect and tuners said if I have issues let him know but he set my Ap to read Intake temp manifold, Dam, feedback knock the other 3 is Ethanol Final and oil/coolant temp. Should I switch those out and what would I look for? The intake temp manifold is the one I have no idea where it should be hanging at. It’s a 2019 Wrx.
Those monitors are fine, intake temp should be abive ambient. If idling it will start to climb. But when driving it maybe be around +10 from outside temp
@@Smeedia it came out of the Dyno at 144 and been there all day and in traffic got as high as 180? Is that normal? I’m so glad I found your channel. I can’t stand reading or even audible books 😂🤣 but for the past almost a week now I’ve been watching every one of your videos and absorbing so much detail and information it’s crazy. Thanks a lot man!!!
getting an AP can be bewildering videos like this help a lot
Wanted to try and clear up the air a little bit with them but thank you for the feedback and support! 🔥
Just got my 2016 wrx right where I want it and this channel has been amazing and has taught me a lot.
Eyyyy glad the videos have helped 🥳
I just bought a new 2020 STI, this is my first one and I have learned so much about this car from your channel, thank you for your videos!!!
Congrats on the car and glad the videos have helped 😁🙏
“Inch hilligrams” I’m dead 😂 it’s inches of Mercury, which is used for pressure. (Hg is the symbol for mercury on the periodic table)
Was having a brain fart that night 🤣🤣🤣
no, it shall now forever be known as Inch Hilligrams from this point on.
I'm glad I found this video cause I was low-key freaking out the other day when I got -1.4 on the feedback knock. Just bought my WRX and it had some mods done to it with all paperwork to show what was done...glad it's normal.
Totally normal values 🤌 congrats in the car btw!
Hey dude, I’ve been watching your content for years now and finally installed an AP after having my 2018 STI since 2017. Just wanted to say thanks!
The info will be here waiting for you my friend! Dont blame you for not wanting to void the warranty. Appreciate the feedback and support my man! 🔥😁
Smeedia hell yeah!! Always excited to what’s next👍🏻
Best Subie channel on here
AF Learning 1 is also a good one to monitor. It will let you know if fuel is being added or removed which can clue you into intake leaks or failing fueling components or sensors.
Another solid value to moniter, I peek at it every now then 🔥but can also help to diagnose issues
Dude, thank you so much! I just bought my first 2018 WRX premium. I’m new to the car world and this video has helped me so much.
Eyyyy glad that it could help and congrats on the car!
I wish I had watched your videos, before spending a fortune on my 2015 STI. So much helpful information. Appreciate everything brother 🙏🙏
Glad that they're helping my man 🙏🙏🙏
This just educated me so well. Just got my first subie and accessport was the first mod I got , thank you for a great video
Glad it helped and congrats on the car! 😁
Thank you….
As a new scooby owner and a new accessport owner, this is great stuff
Eyyyy, congrats on the new car 🔥
@@Smeedia that's helpful, I figured if there was something serious going on, a CEL would have BEEN showed up, correct?
Yessir 😁
@@Smeedia so an update, my DAM went back to 1.000, feedback and fine knock don't fluctuate nearly as often, and this is while still driving spirited lol. I guess the ECU had to learn :)
Glad that it corrected itself 😁🔥
AF Learning 1 is also important. It shows if you have a vacuum/boost leak, if your fuel system has issues, or if your MAF/O2 sensor takes a crap.
Also a good value to monitor 🔥 perfect for trouble shooting also
@@Smeedia Exactly
Dude thanks for this! After my ProTune I had no idea what to look for in my Accessport once they hooked it up!
P.S. got in an accident last night with my Celica (100% other drivers fault) and this really helped when laying in bed this morning recovering. Keep the content coming man it means a lot to people like me
Really appreciate the feedback and the support, sorry to hear about the celica and accident 😫 hopefully nothing to messed up and you have a speedy recovery. Glad that the video helps to understand the Valuss a little more 😁
I am taking notes as you speak. Thank you for sharing.
Just bought a 2003 wrx with 91k original miles and I swear since I’ve got the AP set up I’m constantly finding myself looking at it and making sure my values are good 😅
Lol just don't let it stress you out 😅🙏 congrats on the bug eye!
now this is what i call high quality content
🙌🙌🙌
good little trick for the camera i like that he put up that black sheet
🙏🙏🙏
Your channel is growing so fast! I’m so happy for you, great content, keep it coming!
It's very exciting! The support from everyone is more than motivating. Appreciate the support! 😁
This is a super helpful video for AP noobs- like me. Very wise stuff. Knowledge is power. Thanks!
Glad the videos helped! 🙏😁
I’m so glad I stumbled upon your page. You’re so helpful dude!
Thank you and glad the videos are helping 🙏
Another great video man. Another gauge u should rly consider getting is a
Oil Temp/Oil Pressure gauge.
Thank you! And I don't see a need for oil temp in the car, but we have an AEM Oil pressure gauge already installed. One of my previous install videos 😅
Best information with detail. I look forward to your videos weekly!
Thank you! Trying to make them as detailed as I can. Appreciate the support 🔥😁
Your channel should be bigger than what it is!! Great Content Bro !!👍
Thank you! It grows everyday, appreciate the support and awesome feedback! 😁
Always enlightening posts. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Love giving back to the community, the support is appreciated! 🔥
Just walked through this on mine with your vid. Thanks!!!
Glad it helped 😁🔥
I was driving today. dam dropped to .859, then I had a constant fine knock learn at and low load 1.05 to 0 to .37 constant at 2 and half rpm never going back to 0. Never had feedback knock 2.45 but never changed in a 45 min drive
- 2.45 I meant
Just subscribed! Your vids are very informative and well made AND Im a fellow Washingtonian.. Im in Renton. Well done sir
Eyyyy local! Appreciate the support my friend 💪
When I got my AP I thought the -1.4 knock was the worst- stressed me out to the point I was monitoring all cylinders 😂
Now it’s just another “small number” and realising the heat shield on the headers was loose 😂
But only a -1.4 to -2.80 on my wrx at 125k miles isn’t bad!
I think we all go through the mini heart attack when we first see it 😂
First accessport for my new 2020 WRX en route! Will be referencing this video a few times, I'm sure 8) Thank you!
Best subie channel on youtube hands down. I hope it takes off
Thank you! Appreciate the support and the kind words 🔥😁
Planning on buying a used 2015 sti and I’m trying to see if I can use the port to my advantage and best of my ability . See if anything’s wrong . Thanks for the vid
Anytime and hopefully your able to find the right one!
According to Cobs website "zDEBUG are a series of monitors that are occasionally used by COBB staff to aid in diagnosis. Should support require their use, COBB will specify which monitors to log." So i would assume the zDEBUG is for COBB only diagnostics.
Thanks for pulling that! Had never seen those parameters before.
@@Smeedia no problem dude! I may throw on a couple of those on my AP and see what they're actually monitoring
Thanks man just went stage 1+ on my sti and was trying to get a good explanation on the different gauges and what to monitor
Glad that the video helped 🙏😁
How’s it been so far?

i just picked up a 2015 WRX and started modifying it. This was an awesome video for me. I'm also curious about what mount you have for your AccessPort?
I use the schoe vent mount 😁been an awesome mount that holds the AP!

My dam went to .750 today and anxiety went through the roof. Knock is normal at 1.41 or 2.81 so I’m not going to worry too much. Hoping just fuel issue or cause it was wicked hot today
Just keep an eye on it and monitor, based off those readings I'd say bad fuel
Ohhhh you'll love the flex!
Bro your videos are fucking awesome I have been watching them all day and I don't even drive a Subaru lol wished I could find some honda tuning videos this in depth and explantitive
Eyyyy appreciate the support 🔥 gotta be some out there 😖
I just got my accessport today!
I wouldent suggest doing it every night but I mean you can if you'd like to lol. And congrats on the AP! Fun Jd helpful tool to be able to use!!!!
That’s basically the same set up although I do have afr correction. Good insight on the set up! Great video!
AFR correction is another good one to have pulled up. Appreciate the feedback 🔥🙌
Smeedia yeah haha so figured out I had a exhaust leak that was probably causing dam drop
Just go my Cobb AP today from Yimi Sports!
Great video brotha! Keep them coming!
Exciting! It's a fun little device to play with. Appreciate the support 🔥😁
I wish i can ohhhh ohhhh myself out of bed on mondays
Lol the struggle is real on mondays 😅
Awsome Subaru Channel! So Good!
❤❤❤
I wish I could fit the fine knock learning monitor in but I’m out of room :(. Feedback knock, DAM, fuel pressure final, coolant temp, ethanol final, boost, and a wideband AFR mounted. I recommend anyone running a Cobb flex fuel kit to monitor ethanol final. I’ve had trouble with these kits a few times and the car will think it has E10 in it when it really has a much higher concentration of ethanol. VERY DANGEROUS! I guess you would see it in your AFR but still! Nice video keep up the great work!
Appreciate the feedback, 🔥 yes once you swap over to ethonal there are more parameters to moniter that can consume space 😅
@@Smeedia what’s ideal range for “Ethanol Final “ ? Running E85

Do you have a video of a reliability build? Like if you were to modify a car but go for the best reliability for the wrx/sti platform what mod path you would specifically do and specifically avoid? Would be curious to see that!
I've got you 🙌
ua-cam.com/video/V-OzkojIVJM/v-deo.html
InHg=inches of Mercury. 1 InHg= (apx) 2.036 PSI
I follow your UA-cam channel I bought a 18 sti about 2 months ago o have been in love with these cars my entire life but I know absolutely nothing about cars in general I’ve learned so much from your channels and I go with your opinion and direction over anyone else who maybe does things different keep making videos bro
I do have a question and I can’t seem t find an answer anywhere I have an 18 all stock no mods I bought it used an old man had it ans it only had 40 k on it o got my access port in a few days ago I’m on stage one + sf on 93 gas my dam and feed bak knock along with fine knock learn have been at 0 they have not moved once in days until today I get getting reading of 1.4 consistently in 3 hear when I get to around 6k rpms it’s adjusts it’s self goes back to 0 immediately same with fine knock learn dam is 1 that has not moved at all thank you baby Jesus bc I love this car.
Also I’m installing a Cobb air oil separator
3 port boost controller
Turbo inlet pipe
Bpv
Intake (already installed)
Then a invidia catted divorcée wastegate dp with a r400 Gemini cat back
And fuel system
Cobb pump
Cobb regular kit
And new injectors
Problem is it’s all coming at different times everything but the fuel and cat back I have I’m looking at 2 weeks for them to get here so we’re installing the
Aos
Boost controller
Bov
Inlet hose
And intake
Then in a week or so after
Dp
Catback
Fuel system
My tuner said he would bend me a map so I can do the first set of installs and drive with them until I get the
Other stuff on and then will send another map so I can drive it there to get the tune I hiysss my 2 questions are
1 my is my knock acting up now
2 is it smart to drive with one set of mods on and not the others even with a map for it ? I have typed this question in a million different ways and can’t dine and answer you’d a pro with this shit can you please help me last thing I want to do is damage this car I got a separate extended warranty for this car to cover my ass bc I know sub will void it
Can you help me what the answer to the knock issue it always ones in 3rd ay 6k and 4th around the same all other heats are fine again it’s been hot and I used a different gas station this time it said 93 but it’s probably watered down should I be worried
And should I do one set of mods then the other ?
If you could answer that It would be helpful and put me at ease I’m a worry wart and especially with my car I vacuum it every other day wash it every week change oil at 2700 miles
For the knock issue OTS maps are just prone to it happening, a loose heat shild or even. Pot hole can set it off. -1.40 & -2.80 are normal to see as well if you start seeing your DAM drop and feedback knoxk kncrease then you have an issues. As for the installs I wojld do them all at once but thats just my personal preference for installing parts. Just stay out of boost and you should be fine until your protune
Smeedia_ I want to buy I’m so impatient so the map that I’ll be using until the down pipe and exaust goes on will probably only let me boost Norman stock numbers until the exhaust goes on and the fuel system
This would keep me from putting to much on my bottom end and not screw with my timing and fuel pump right? I’d that’s not the case then I will just wait it out
Smeedia also my dam has no moves from 1 since install either has both my knock sensors until today and that bugged me I’m a hypochondriac when it comes to my car
I wouldent even go into boost and just play it safe, base maps are just suppose to get you from point A to B 😅
Love your videos man! I didn't know that you lived here in WA too! I live in enumclaw I hope I get to meet you in person one day man! Keep up the great videos!
Eyyy appreciate the support and not too far away at all! 🔥 was in enumclaw today actually lol
Love your justification for why you have a gauge lol
Is cobb the only one selling AP? Planning to get one as well. But it would void warranty as well right?? THE BEST SUBIE CHANNEL EVER 🔥🔥
It would void warranty if you installed it, and Cobb is really the only ones who sell tuning devices unless you go open source. Appreciate the feedback 🔥🙌
Yo!!! What wheels are you running? Those rims look sooo clean!
Qork emotion D9R 🤙
I got Boost psi, AFR, and ignition correction 1-4 set up on mine. Haha
But if you want a dyno tune that's also a good option 🔥
They do love some E85 🔥
Nice video mate. Keep up making great content. Unfortunately in kenya we have JDM subbies and we don't have accessport. what i personally use is a OBDlink MX pro hooked up with an android app called BtSsm (bluetooth subaru select module) to act like an accessport for me.
The JDM models are still fun ones to play with and glad to hear that there are still ways that you are able to get into the ECU and tune them 🔥
A week later report! Lol
Lol gives all the anxiety to everyone 😅
zDEBUG is likely developer tools that the Cobb people can use to monitor other development-related variables during the development of the Access Port
Should worry about dynamic adv leaning? 0.50
What about sport and sport sharp? After a reflash.... do these settings do anything? 2020 STi
Good stuff and in/hg stands for inches of mercury and it's how you measure a vacuum
Thank for your filing it in lol had a totally brain fart when filming 😅
@@Smeedia np great info man
Where can I look to see what the values should be for a 2020 wrx..I looked on cobb and I can't find the list..im looking for hopefully a list that says what each gauge monitor is with what the associated value is next to it...
Just had a protune done and I have no clue what I'm looking at lol
Nice video. I wish this existed for me a couple years ago.

I've never used it but it's no different than any other OTS Tune, just make sure you use the parts listed in the map notes for the tune 😁
@@Smeedia yeah, I like it so far, although I had a boost spike at 24psi that kind of freaked me out
How about AF Learning 1 Smeedia? I've seen some people suggest this. Can you explain why/what it does?
My afr at idle runs around 14.5-14.7. Not sure if it’s broken. 😂
Hey man just catching up on some of your videos but here goes another question should you buy a used access port or just get one new
They're worth it but 100% verify it is unmarried and your buying from a reputable seller
@@Smeedia right on for the good info. Love the videos bro. I been learning a lot.
I just got my accesssport and my dam is sitting at 0.688… should I be worried?
Did you recently reset ECU learning? 🙏
@@Smeedia No how do I do that? Sorry I’m completely new to this.
Have you flashed a tune onto the car or disconnected the battery? When doing so it will take thr ECU a little while to re calibrate.
I flashed it with the stage zero since I’m still waiting on my intake to come in and wanted to be able to monitor the car
Mine is reading this too recently, did you find anything out about it?
I was tuned by Taylor from snail so I’d assume he know what he’s doing since he put me on flex fuel E60. Been driving 400 miles since Az back to Cali no problems so far. Maybe I’m just paranoid lol
Love watching the vids I have a 2003 WRX with stage 2 and a Cobb tuner, however have you ever had a issue with the access port not turning on, now I haven't drove the car in a year but I did turn it on from time to time and the port worked but now it Dosent turn what's your best advise for it and I have called Cobb but they always seem to be closed when I call
It does that with my Golf R where it won't always auto turn on 😤
Is it not turning on at all or just sometimes?
Not turning on at all it turn on once about 6 months ago but hasn't since and it use to work great
