    This will still allow the hut to spin and damage any wires or lines in the ice hole. A couple of those D rings mounted in each corner and standard ice anchors with short straps will lock it down much better.

      yeah.....not sure that pvc thing is going to work so well if the ice is 4 or 5 feet thick. I was thinking exactly what you were.

      What in the hell has YT turned into? Seriously folks what’s next, are we going to put out vids on how to chew gum as well? If you can’t figure out how to anchor down your own darn flip-over or hub then I think that ice fishing just might be too much for you anyway.

      Great idea, until your anchor hole freezes shut with your rope and PVC in there.

    So I did add a pipe to my pull rope on my flip over. Anchored it today, it worked for a bit. The wind shifted and my hut twisted, pipe popped out of the hole and I was sailing for a bit. I’m going back to ice screws. I’m going to do 2 short ropes on the back corners. Not to mention that your hand freezes putting that pipe in the hole. It’s nuts sliding across the lake like that!

    Good idea. But what if the hole got frozen?

    I like it!
    Just wondering if you have had any issues with the hole freezing over and the rope freezing into the water/ice, especially when sub zero Fahrenheit temps?

    Hello. That looks like it might be the yukon from clam. I am thinking if buying one. Wondering if you could let me know how hard that thing is to drag by yourself, in snow or on ice. And how hard is it to load. And would you recomend it. TIA

    Great idea! Also like your straight forward style of vid, without music or 5 min lead in. You just get right to it.

    Ok idea. For me it's MUCH easier, faster and cleaner to run a screw anchor in.

    Hi there,Evening sir. Great idea/video. Move the bikes out give you more room,Lol just kidding. As you held up/said 1 d-ring I thought 2 instantly,As would be more sturdy & less pressure than 1. Like 1 on each side maybe just inside the outer edge of sled. Hope you got a patten on that. New subscriber.

    How old is your ice hut? Just curious how Clam's hold up. Great tip!

    • @CrazyQuady
      @CrazyQuady  4 роки тому +1

      This is the first year I've used it, already had a few of the velcro straps the hold the canvas on tear were they are sewed on. If I did it over again I would probly go with an Otter brand hut.
