- A return to the Hethpool area to find the patch of trees I saw from a distance, which I thought would be good for the Tarp,
Area was found, and a great pitch, ideal for a tarp, tent or a hammock was found on the hillside with great views, but alas no phone signal, as I needed to stay in touch I went higher up and discovered more great spots,
Overall a great Bivy camp.

Hi and thanks for coming along, yes it’s nice up there, the first pitch in the trees was stunning for views, but unfortunately I needed reception as a safety measure, but will return to camp on the spot ! Soon

What a sweet spot Adrian, thanks for sharing it. I'd love to see video where you detail the spare guys etc that you take in your pack, I'm pretty sure I will have missed something with the ones I have due to my inexperience.
Hi Phil and thanks for watching,
It is a handy spot for camps where you fancy a view and a bit of protection from the weather,
I may well show my guys ! But honestly they are just lengths of guy line with loops on
Cheers Adrian

Hi Jimmy, thanks, the first pitch must be the best hammock, tarp or tent view up here, but I went up to the top for reception, the route back would be my preferred route in next time as more gentle !!

Thanks for posting. Lovely spot for a tarp & bivy camp, with some great views. That's my preferred set-up for wild camping, but quite happy to use a tent when necessary.

That's a really great spot Adrian. Never explored up there. Nice to see you've topped 700 subscribers as well- well deserved
Hi Graham, thanks, many spots up there are really nice with great views, the first one great views but company reqd as no signal,
See you next camp
Cheers Adrian
Great looking camp. See you don't use a groundsheet . Is your bivvy enough to prevent damp from the ground condensation/ rain? And enough to prevent punctures of the mat? Saves weight if it's okay
Hi and thanks for watching, never use a ground sheet, normally scour the ground as best as I can, and if in doubt put the foam mat down, the army gortex bag is tough, I use the Alpkit Hunka in the drier weather, and have suffered no holes yet 🤞as for damp only really suffered once and it was bad !
Cheers
Hi Adrian, Is this from last night (Friday)? If so, I was camped quote nearby - I followed St Cuthbert's Way from Kirk Yetholm and then climbed a hill not long after crossing back into England. Very windy on top so I dropped down a bit and it was better. Woke up this morning to a blanket of swirling mist but got back to my car without getting wet.
Hi and thanks for watching, yes last night Friday; glorious walk in and evening, very cold and wet this morning but rain had been in the night and it held off, the wind was strangely blowing at height and almost none lower, hope you enjoyed your camp.
Cheers Adrian
how big is the tarp?
Hi and thanks for watching, DD super light Tarp S, 2.8x1.5
Cheers
