You are out with the tarp more than the purists Adrian 💪🏻
Hi and thanks for watching
Yes I try and get out once a week for a chill
Cheers
Absolute joy to watch, first one I've seen of yours. Subscribed and liked. Thanks for the video.
Hi and thanks for watching, welcome, glad you enjoyed it
Lots of tarp and bivy camps to see
Cheers
Lovely camp there Adrian, enjoyed it. Some great geology up there.
Hi and thanks for watching
Spoilt for crags around here
Glad you enjoyed it
Cheers
We saw the lights here in Washington state too!! Nice relaxed camp Adrian!
Hi and thanks for watching
Glad you enjoyed it and you saw the lights
Cheers
Excellent views well done mate
Hi and thanks for watching
Glad you enjoyed it
Cheers
I like that the tarp has side tie outs to expand the interior. My flat tarp doesn't have them so I'm limited on pitches. Great views out there.
Hi and thanks for watching, it’s a DD super light tarp s sure you can get them over there, yes nice pitch with views
Cheers
Nice one Adrian. Pitch it how like mate. Can’t wait to get out and do another bivy. Atb
Hi and thanks for watching, glad you enjoy the videos, tarp goes up to suit pitch,
Cheers
Here in Sunny Amble by the Sea
we had a Sea Fret 🌫️ last night
Hi and thanks for watching, par for the course on our coastline
Cheers
Wow, what a view! 👍
Hi and thanks for watching
Yes it is glad you enjoyed it
Cheers
Great views to the Cheviot. I have a Rab bivvy bag. No condensation as yet. Would like a side zipper though, even if only half way.
Hi and thanks for watching, it’s a great spot for sure,
The Alpkit is next to useless for me unless it’s a warm night just to wet, I did fancy a Ruben’s one but more money on a chance ! It might be I sleep hot with gear on and the other fabrics can not release the moisture like gore tex, I will look at the Rab but my next one has to have a zip as the hooped one has spoiled me !
Cheers
Nice one Adrian your getting brave not taking all your kit definitely a good crags to camp mate atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍
Hi Jimmy, thanks for watching, it was an experiment, needed the jacket and gloves, so ultralight does not suit me,
It’s a great spot, limited tent spots so peaceful
Cheers Adrian
Outstanding scenery
Hi and thanks for watching
Glad you enjoyed it
Cheers
Love the tarp pitch. It covers you and that's all that matters. Lovely view. Thanks for sharing 🤘
Hi and thanks for watching
It suited the pitch
Glad you liked it
Cheers
supa dupa views!
Hi and thanks for watching
Glad you enjoyed it
Cheers
Belta as always, I feel if we have choices or options to packing we end up going round in circles, cutting weight by using alternative or sometimes taking away the comfort element, it's good to see the Challenges being undertaken, hard choices.
Hi and thanks for watching, got to have the waterproof gear as good for wind protection as down too hot for me
Nice to test ideas on local camps
Cheers
You have some stunning crags over that side Adrian, so much choice with cracking views all around. Unfortunately with good weather those pesky midge are out and about. Those Alpkit bivis are great but why don’t they stick a zip in them 😂 it would make life so much easier . Another lovely camp mate atb Dave ⛺️👍
Hi Dave, thanks for watching, not a worry back to the army one as breaths better, yes we have some crags on our side, you should visit, but time holds us back
Cheers Adrian
Sorry you missed the lights last night, we even had a great show here on the south coast………….or so I’m told! Like you I was looking at the back of my eyelids 😂👍 Also thanks for the head up on the Speedster stove, mine arrived Friday so looking forward to that first burn. ATB from deepest Dorset 👍
Hi and thanks for watching
Yes I was asleep on Fridays show and last night too cloudy
At least I got a camp In
Cheers
Andrew Skurka calls it " stupid light " means worth weight penalty for goretex and a dry night . Agree with you
Hi and thanks for watching, goes to show you do need most of the stuff most of the time
Cheers
Alpkit can put a zip in for you but was not cost effective for me. It was cheaper getting the Robens mountain bivvy. Side zipper and bug netting 450 grams. But if raining tar needed 🔥
Hi and thanks for watching, I was tempted to try that one but all these other tarps just don’t seem to breath like the army ones, do like the style of that bivy
Cheers
Smashing camp Adrian, I love the fact you’re ‘doing a Graham’ and lightening the load. Good to think you’ve listened to me 😂
I’ve been influenced by your good self though and bought my first pair of waterproof trousers 👍👍
Hi Graham, glad you enjoyed it, did you like doing a Graham !! Thought you would, think there is a limit to how light I can go as I like the kit with me
Cheers Adrian
Hi,thanks for sharing again, really enjoy your vids.
I purchased a tarp and bivvy etc, hopefully get out in the next couple days, tell me,do you get bothered with ticks?
Hi and thanks for watching
Only had ticks once and that was about 18 small ones on one camp !!!!
That was last year
Hope you enjoy the tarp and bivy
Cheers
Great video mate. They never disappoint
Hi and thanks for watching
Glad you enjoy the videos
Cheers
Great adventure, when I get time from work, I'm gonna do a bivy camp. So this has been an interesting video to watch. Thankyou for sharing!
Hi and thanks for watching
Most of my. Videos are tarp and bivy you can’t beat it, hope you enjoy it
Cheers
Excellent practical advice. Thank you.
Hi and thanks for watching glad you enjoyed it
Cheers
Spot on again ,tarp set up mint but a bit close to that drop for me 😬,just wondering if your ever bothered by ticks , do you use any repellant ?that’s a canny pace your going at too , I’ve been trying to get below 17 and feel I’ll be running 😆, thanks Adrian atb Deka 👍🏻👊🏻
Hi Deka, glad you enjoyed it, only on that ultimate bivy last year I had 18 ticks !! Only time in the last couple of year, no sprays or wipes used
Cheers Adrian
@@northumberlandmountainhopper bloody 18 😬, I’ve had the one 🙄, I use Al sorts of sprays now 😆, take care mate 👍🏻
Hi and thanks for watching
Glad you enjoyed it
Cheers
Another great vid! I love it up there. Never camped it but walked a fair few times. I need a night up there. Loved your set up. Shame you didnt see the aurora but I reckon you will get it another time. Atb to you and family 😊
Hi and thanks for watching, it’s great up there for the views, but limited for tent pitches, you can always pitch on low Heather, while watching you groundsheet
Cheers
Always look forward to your videos.
Will be getting a Dutch hooped bivi soon.
You're absolutely mental, and have that scary look in your eyes !
You love to peer over the edge and see the big drops.
I just love a tarp and bivi !
Hi and thanks for watching, just love crags and mountains, climbed a lot in wales years ago so drop off no bother,
Let’s hope you take to the bivy, hooped definitely best but heavy
Cheers
Inspiring 👍.
Hi and thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it, perhaps fancy a tarp camp now
Cheers
Cool video as always Adrian, the scenery is just stunning, the British army bivvy bag ,doesn't cause any condensation, my mates wife unpicked the centre seam for the length of the zip, and used the picked saems to sew the zip on, so no fabric lost,or even cut, and a cracking centre zip, makes it so much bloody easier lol, thanks for the mention, always chilled videos with you mate, good health and safe travels my friend, cheers craig
Hi and thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the video, I will have to look at it, my worry would be water through the zip and stitching as it would not be taped, but I tell you after a few weeks with the hooped one I could hardly get in and out, then you have to shuffle like a slug to get back in position !!
Cheers Adrian
@@northumberlandmountainhopper I know that one lol
Good job
Hi and thanks for watching
Glad you liked the video
Cheers
Tarp purists aren’t critiquing your tarp set-up. tarp purists know there is no ‘right’ tarp set-up. Each is a work of art, a tailor-made suit, ephemeral.
Hi and thanks for watching
I putt those comments in as I had a comment saying a pitch I did was that loose it was like a beginner !!
So that’s for them !!!
Yes you are correct, pitch it to suit the pitch
Cheers
thrunton woods is a great place nice video
Hi and thanks for watching
Glad you enjoyed it
I try not to name places anymore
Cheers
