- Hey fellow cakers! I've been getting a lot of requests on my insta for a slowed down tutorial, so here it is! I hope you enjoy. Don't hesitate to comment any questions you have! This is my first ever UA-cam video so sorry if it isn't great, just trying to help you all out with this mysterious technique!

Common Questions Answered:
- Yes, wax or parchment (baking paper in UK) will work!
- I use Sunflower highlighter mixed with Vodka for the gold paint
- I use American buttercream, but SMBC or other types of frosting will work as well!

Hi! Does this technique apply for Swiss buttercream?
Refrigerating the cake after icing and taking it out after a while, will it not start to cool off and get a bit watery? Cuz when I tried it happened. what shall I do to avoid it from melting?

Does the brush you use for painting have to be a special food brush or can it be any brush from an art store?
Romy V I just use a normal painting brush! But if you find a special food one, I’m sure that’s a good idea!
