As a family, we’ve lived on a low carb for twelve months. My daughter and I have metabolic syndrome, both my children have autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and my husband has just been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS)..Before embarking on our low-carb journey, I was 389 pounds.Since I discovered this keto article, I weigh 267 pounds. My daughter was 276 pounds and is now 209 pounds (95 kilos), my son was 231 pounds and is now 194 pounds. He “cheats” a bit while at university - and my darling husband was 254 pounds and is now 176 pounds.Every time we lose 22 more pounds (10 kilos), we treat ourselves to low-carb cheesecake. Thanks to keto diet.Edit: For people asking me about the article you can find it on google *keto mathematics*
It all started back in January of 2018, when my youngest daughter, Alma, began to have seizures. This occurred three months after we moved from Sweden to Spain. To seek medical help for Alma, my wife and two daughters had to return to Sweden. It took nearly four months for the doctors to determine that Alma was suffering from glucose transporter type 1 deficiency syndrome. The doctors told us that there were only two ways to treat GLUT1 deficiency syndrome.Either, we had to treat Alma’s condition via medication - or we could put her on a ketogenic diet. And so, after a ton of research on keto diet I found an amazing book, Alma started eating keto.Time went by and Alma got used to her new diet. She’s feeling amazing now and has normal glucose levels.Edit: For people asking me about the book you can find it on google *keto groan*
Back in my carb heavy refined sugar eating days “Red Velvet” cake was something that made quite a bit and the recipe I used called called for white vinegar and my cakes had an amazing color. Not like the picture but definitely more vibrant. Maybe try that next time. Love your videos btw. Oh Quincy is freaking adorable 😊
About a year ago, I was diagnosed with PCOS.For several years, I had gained a lot of weight, felt tired, and had problems with anxiety.I had tried other diets but never managed to stick with them in the long term. After doing some research on PCOS, I came across an article about keto and found the motivation to give low carb a try.I wanted to improve my lifestyle and health and going keto definitely did.Edit: For people asking me about the article you can find it on google *keto irony*
Always add vinegar with my RV cake and also use whole bottle of red food coloring. My recipe is from a friend that grew up in Alabama and it was her great grandmother's recipe! so my advice is more food coloring and add vinegar.
i have a chopper i got yrs ago from pampered chef party. I love it. i use for chopping up hamburger as well as chicken instead of shredding , works for chicken salad, also chopping up eggs for an egg salad
After watching one of your prior meal prep videos where you buy the aluminum trays and make small spagetti/meatball cassaroles /dishes in the airfryer, I picked some up and made my first lasagna in the airfryer with Palmini noodles. It turned out awesome and was so much easier to make the smaller portion in the airfryer. Thx for the tips!
when making a traditional red velvet cake, it takes a whole two ounce bottle of red food coloring. It takes way more than I'm willing to use anymore, to be honest.
Belated Valentine's Day to u and the fam. Those strawberries came out so pretty! And what a clever idea for those smores. I also love Blue Diamond almond flour & hope our Costco that's 45 mins away keeps it in stock bc it's my go to. Love the meal ideas! I definitely have to check Publix for that nut coating. Thanks ❤️
Tx for this meal prep Kristi. The desserts especially look amazing. I usually try to meal prep every sunday. Same as you, i don't make specific bowl w 2 sides pr anything.. I'll do some salmon, some chicken, some ground beef or turkey and then go from there during the week with what we have on hand already made.
Happy Valentine's Day y'all 😍 There's absolutely no wrong with the word moist, grow up people! You did a great job Kristi and Chris 😀👍 Have a blessed week 💜 🙏 ✌️ 🌞💐🎶
Good ideas. Most Red velvet recipes I've seen use a lot of red food dye (bottles). The type of food dye can make a difference, too (gel vs. liquid). I make Joe Duffs keto maple syrup.
I just returned to keto on Saturday. I am finding I am struggling with quick things for the work day and such without eating too little and then being hungry again in an hour
i meal prepped sausage egg cups and that's about it. I have to get the rest of the week figured out. thinking a little batch of red cabbage chili, and high key corn bread. the rest of the week is UNKNOWN. LOL
Hi! Just watched a new video from Thomas DeLauer on reducing insulin. You might be interested in the studies he talks about. Especially the benefits of vinegar and allulose on blood sugar.
I bet you used regular food coloring, my sister works in a bakery/deli and she says when my icing is pink and not red.... "Pam you need to use the gel coloring" :)

Real red velvet cake is my specialty. Everyone loves them. You have to use the complete one ounce food coloring per recipe to get the red color.

Thank you! I'm doing a virtual party next month, I'll get one if they still offer it!
@@rebeccalucas6063 they sell them at dollar tree too now.
Thank you Kristi! Love how much variety you prep. You really make keto so much better ❤
(Harry here) Quincy looked so happy to be in his mommas arms
Please do some actual one dish meals prep that are easy to heat up! You are
an inspiration.
That’s not hard. Buy a few bento boxes and after your meal put the leftovers in the boxes for freezing.

The strawberries🍓 look amazing, Kristi! Happy Valentine's day to you and your family❤
Beautiful strawberries! I hope you enjoyed Valentine's Day.
Your cracker recipe is my go to when I want crackers. It is awesome. 🙂
These are my favorite videos! Going to binge the playlist. Love the cupcakes & strawberries 🍓 So pretty. Happy Valentines Day to you & the family. ❤️
Happy Valentine's Day y'all! ♥️
The trick is you need red food gel instead of liquid food coloring.
I finally made your peanut butter cake, and ham salad. It was delicious!!!! Thanks for the great ideas😃
It all looks good. Prepping enough chaffles to use through out the week. Happy Valentine's Day.

Try mixing the food coloring in the cocoa and add after you add the dry to the wet ....
There is NOTHING wrong with the word “moist” when cake is involved!! 😂
“They hate that word” 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Red velvet cake normally has cocoa in it. I think its the almond flour mixed with it. Regular flour is bleached so it lightens the cocoa.
Happy Valentine's Day y'all 😍 There's absolutely no wrong with the word moist, grow up people! You did a great job Kristi and Chris 😀👍 Have a blessed week 💜 🙏 ✌️ 🌞💐🎶
Hello Quincy and Meri mommy sure is a good cook HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO ALL OF YOU LOVE YOU GUYS

How cute is Quincy 🥰😘🐕
Afternoon Kristi
You pretty much have to use the whole bottle of red coloring.
Happy Valentine's Day Quincey
Loving your fur babies! And I was wondering how you liked the chicken coating? It looked DELICIOUS!
I just returned to keto on Saturday. I am finding I am struggling with quick things for the work day and such without eating too little and then being hungry again in an hour
That little dog it just too cute. I'm a former Yorkie owner myself.
There's that gorgeous little tiger!
Thank you for the tip for the nut coating at Publix. Good recipes. Is the term ‘Go ahead’, a Southern term? A not needed term, I think.
How was the Chicken!
That nut coating looks like its gonna be good!🤤...I need a good cream cheese frosting recipe, I can never get it to taste right.🥴
