I am on a sweet (Keto) fast too. Stopped losing weight when I added Keto sweets. After all, sweets is what got me overweight in the first place. Once February fast is over keto sweets ONLY as a treat once a week. Keto sweets make me binge.
And you should check and see if it spikes your blood sugar. Just because something is a sugar alternative doesn't mean it doesn't do that. Like stevia makes my sugar Spike and for some it doesn't do that at all but for me it acts just like regular sugar and the same goes for anything because we're all different
I realize this video is about KETO and not reducing carbs for blood glucose management. But…Have you looked into ChocZero? MANY people, including myself, noticed a huge spike (30+ points) in their blood glucose after using even though they are marketed as safe for diabetics. Their products are not healthy or safe for people looking to avoid carbs as a means of managing their blood sugar. Lily’s chocolate is actually a healthy choice and very good at that.
I made a batch of the low carb shortbread cookies for a family gathering. I halved the recipe. In one batch, added dark chocolate chips, unsweetened coconut, and pecans....in other half, added some reconstituted dried cranberries just a few, that I took scissors and cut in half, one berry per cookie, white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts MUST WAIT UNTIL COOLED ON RACK!!!! EVEN NON KETO family members were crazy over them. Couldn't decide which was best, they both knocked it out of the park!!! Ty! For all the time , effort and energy you have poured into these videos, saving lives, one recipe at a time. Been keto 5 yrs, I feel so much better, I'm 59! Feeling better than I did in my 40s!! 😘
I am so happy to be back on keto track! Retired after 35 years of nursing because my joints were so bad (primarily decades of extreme wear and tear rather than being overweight). Because I knew I was coming to the end, I was working 50-65 hours/week and as you might imagine, everything else went by the wayside including my food plan. I’d sadly put on 35 unneeded pounds which is a lot when you’re small. But I got my brain in the game and I’m back on keto track!

REALLY, really impressed with the cookies. I haven’t been satisfied with keto cookie recipes in general and I was convinced it was because I wasn’t using xanthan or guar gum or collagen or lupin or some exotic flour. Now that I’ve made your version … it’s the egg!! It’s been the fricken egg all along. The omission of it, that is, makes all the difference. The butter, the chocolate and especially the crunch I’ve been seeking really come through. I love eggs, but not in cookies apparently. THANKS for solving this riddle for me!

@@b.abouttowwn I think erythritol spikes blood sugar in some people. I am only using Aly Llosa now. I know I do feel weird with erythritol. Many “stevia” and “monk fruit” sweeteners are mostly erythritol.
I make the chocolate mousse and use it to top the cheesecake fluff. That's my go-to dessert now and I make it for parties as well. So easy and delicious and no one can tell it's a "diet" dessert.
I cant eat artificial sweetners or most alternative natural sweetners, so it's really nice to see a keto recipe that i can just use regular sugar in. Not quite as low carb with normal sugar in it. But I'm ok with that!

I didn't have cream cheese but I did have cottage cheese. I whipped the cottage cheese with the heavy cream, coco powder and swerve and it tasted just like a chocolate cheesecake. Next time I'll add the cookie "pie crusts". Thanks for this recipe.

These look great! A tip though: use a ramekin instead of a mason/canning jar. These jars are not meant for dry heat so microwaving them greatly increases the risks of thermal shock, and the jars cracking or breaking. That would be heartbreaking with these amazing looking desserts
About a year ago, I was diagnosed with PCOS. For several years, I had gained a lot of weight, felt tired, and had problems with anxiety. I had tried other diets but never managed to stick with them in the long term. After doing some research on PCOS, I came across an article about keto and found the motivation to give low carb a try. I wanted to improve my lifestyle and health and going keto definitely did.
🌸 Tip since I quit sugar I have noticed I am revolted by anything too sweet I suggest before anyone puts same amt of cups of sweetener to sugar Just remember sweeteners are actually sweeter to taste than actual sugar Why not try safe low sweet substitute or try monk sugar or just another substitute that’s natural I found I rather taste of fresh fruits over a sweetener. Just make them to your taste I’m making it for my family who enjoys something sweet, I had small apple pie, all natural ingredients with almond flour to create my pie crust, crumbly but interesting 🎉

@@Angelface11 that's probably true, but they do spike an insulin response. That's actually not why I had been doing a fast though. I have a binging problem, and was getting out of hand, even on keto. So I stopped eating all sweets until that desire left. It had nothing to do with them being bad to eat, but it's not real food. It's a treat. However, I wanted it for my meal. I was even finding myself eating less real food, so I can have an excuse to eat more desserts after. That wasn't healthy, so I took a temporary break on the sweets so I could focus on my health a bit better.
@KathyL yes, I'm diabetic so I have count everything. Especially since I try my hardest to stick to 30-40 carbs in each meal and 16 carbs per snack. So if I have a high carb lunch, I try not to have too many carbs at night. Same with sweet even though they are considered sugar free, If I eat later in day my sugar is high in the morning.
Just made the double chocolate cookie. Seriously one of the best cookies I’ve ever eaten! And I’m not usually the biggest chocolate fan. Rich and delicious 😊

It is SO difficult to find good healthy dessert recipes, so I’m not ashamed to admit that I was SKEPTICAL watching this video. BUT. I tried the cheesecake recipe (exactly as instructed but without the piping bag because I’m lazy lol). I also topped it off with some strawberries, thawed from the freezer. And… it was DELICIOUS. I loved it thank you so much for a great recipe! I will say as a side note that I am lactose intolerant and heavy cream makes me incredibly sick. So I won’t be having this all the time, that’s for sure. But nonetheless, it was amazing!❤️
Something I do when need yoghurt, heavy cream etc I whip a can of coconut cream with 1/2 tsp of guar gum, put in fridge and it sets and keeps for 5 days or so
Even easier, I use sugar free chocolate Jello pudding mix with 1 cup of heavy cream. I don't have add monk fruit sugar or vanilla. Looks identical to the mousse.

Don't know if this is Keto but this has become my favorite treat, 24-28oz zero sugar yogurt + 1 packet "Sugar Free" Banana Cream Pudding packet, just stir in the powder till mixed, put in fridge for a couple hours to set up.

Have a read of the wheat belly by Dr William Davis. Reversed my arthritis and my dairy allergy. If I Hadn't done it wouldn't have believed it. It's tough and I dropped all grain except rice and it still worked. Lost weight was a wonderful side effect.

Thank you for giving us these excellent ideas. Your cookie recipe is extremely close to my muffin one - though I add the egg lol - and luckily, I have a more savoury than sweet tooth. But I make my muffins every day and putting a little effort into my daily baking, enables me to stick some fingers up at the greedy food industry.

What do you think about Swerve sugar used in place for monk fruit sweetener? Swerve comes in granulated, brown and powdered and it does not affect ones blood sugar.
These look lovely. For those of you that don't follow Dr boz, FYI zero calorie sweeteners still spike your insulin and in many people worsens their cravings. So I'd wait to use these desserts. Im going to do the chocolate cheesecake without sweetener.

I'm not diabetic, but both of my parents are and I "keto" as a lifestyle for anti-inflammatory reasons.

Beware! Contains malto-dextrin, cornstarch and aspartame. Big no-nos!!
Except filled with carbs. Maltodextrin is worse than sugar , almost twice the glycemic index of sugar. Her recipe isn’t complicated.

Thank you for giving us these excellent ideas. Your cookie recipe is extremely close to my muffin one - though I add the egg lol - and luckily, I have a more savoury than sweet tooth. But I make my muffins every day and putting a little effort into my daily baking, enables me to stick some fingers up at the greedy food industry.

What do you think about Swerve sugar used in place for monk fruit sweetener? Swerve comes in granulated, brown and powdered and it does not affect ones blood sugar.
