1/4 cup almond flour 1 tbls protein powder 1 TSP baking powder 1/8tsp salt two tablespoons of melted butter and 1 egg white, two TSP sour cream 1 tbls heavy cream, was it 1 TSP keto sweetener? Anywho you're welcome 😊
I just made it and tasted way tastier than bread! I didn’t have protein powder so substituted with a bit extra almond flour, didn’t have sour cream so substituted with a little milk and tiny squeeze of lemon. It worked perfectly- I put it in the microwave for 2mins
Made this last night, had it just buttered with soup. I was in white bread heaven. It's excellent. Garlic bread would be great. I made it in a large cereal bowl, so it was round. I didn't grease it, nor do the sling and it didn't stick at all. Thanks for this recipe, it is outstanding. I intend on putting several batches of the dry ingredients in a bag. Mark the weight in grams, so then I just scoop out the grams needed and continue with the bread.
Your channel just popped up. Someone was looking out for me because I really miss my bread. One of your subscribers said she premeasures all dry ingredients. What a time saver. You just gained another subscriber. Going to binge watch all your videos today. Thank you for your time and effort.😊
Ok… so I’ve tried something different. I trialled cooking this in my waffle maker (mine makes square waffles). Took about 1 minute to cook. I tasted one, then chucked the other one in the toaster and toasted it. O….M….G…. ❤❤❤ The plain one is light and fluffy. The toasted one tastes just like real white bread toast, soft yet toasted. Not crunchy, which is how I like it. I spread butter over both and then devoured them both, in keto bread and toast heaven 😊 (Note: I used whole egg for this one, for cooking in the waffle maker, but you can chose for yourself) 😊😊😊 THANK YOU KETO FOCUS. 🌹🌹🌹
This is by far the BEST 90-second Keto bread that I've ever eaten!!! Super easy, very light, NO EGGY AFTERTASTE, and when toasted, you will NOT be able to eat just one piece! Even my husband was impressed and asked for a second slice, so I whipped up another batch! Changed my life; thanks so much for sharing with all of us!
@@KetoFocus I really enjoy your bubbly personality in this video and have subscribed. I’m not so much about counting carbs as I am about counting calories. Can you please break down the calories of each ingredient and of the final slice please. (I love the Schmidt 647 Italian bread at 40 calories, so lower than that would be huge.) I enjoy the following sandwiches: Peanut Butter & Jelly (PB2 and Polaner light grape jelly); Egg Salad; Peppered Country White Gravy poured over bread (like biscuits n gravy) Heinz Turkey gravy poured over bread (add peas, like chicken ala king;) Swiss cheese and light Miracle Whip sandwich
Just tried this but had to change up a few things because I didn't have the same ingredients. It turned into the best keto waffle and pancake batter! I used sweetened vanilla flavored protein powder and coconut yogurt instead of sour cream. Plus, no oven and no microwave so I used my chaffle maker. They were delicious! I've tried different waffles/pancake batters but this one is the real deal!
This is why I always read the comments. I was going to just make the regular bread then your post caught my eye. I'd given up on any type of keto pancake/waffle that could come close to the real thing until just now. Oh my word. I used vanilla protein powder as well and cream cheese instead of sour cream. I honestly don't think anyone would be able to tell the difference from the real thing. And these are the first waffles that had that bit of crunch to them when you cut them with a fork! All other keto varieties I've tried come out limp and soggy no matter what. Can't wait to make these for my family. Thank y'all both!
Not disparaging you but comments like this are hilarious because you essentially didn't try the recipe in the video at all, you created your own. People do this sometimes: say they tried the recipe which is impossible if you don't follow the recipe and use what they used.
I freaking love you!!! Where have you been my whole pre-diabetic life? You brought soft, fluffy, toastable white bread back into my life without the gluten and without spiking my blood sugar. For that, I crown you the Greek Goddess of Keto! I had become SOOO jaded with keto bread. I tried quite a few of the store-bought ones (be very careful folks, because a lot of them are NOT real keto!) The most recent brand I tried was 'Un-bagel'. To begin with, I have never liked dark grainy wheat bread and to make matters worse, it tasted like wet cardboard! Mind you, one little pack of 4 bagels costs a whopping $10! I was seriously about to give up completely on keto bread, but yesterday I was feeling so cranky and had a serious bread craving that I just couldn't shake. I decided to give this keto bread thing one last try. So I found your video and went to Sprouts to purchase the ingredients. I went into the kitchen this morning and started following the recipe/instructions. . . . with much skepticism, admittedly . In my mind I kept saying, "Watch this turn out to look absolutely nothing like the keto bread in the video". Lol To my very pleasant surprise, however, it turned out perfect! It even tastes like real homemade bread (and white bread at that)! To anyone viewing this video with skepticism, I encourage you to try this recipe! You won't regret it.
I used ground sunflower seeds for the protein powder as cheaper and yogurt instead of sour cream. Also only had single cream.Came out perfect and looked like wholemeal because of the sunflower seeds Delicious thanks sooo much. Finally something that tastes and looks like real bread.
This is such a great recipe, I wanted to add my spin on it. Once in awhile the bread falls apart. When that happens, just cut into croutons for your salad. Toast extra well to dry it out, I use an air fryer.
Give it another 10 seconds in the microwave so that it is really dry and crunchy, whack it in a blender and turn it into breadcrumbs for coating chicken or fish etc.
I've tried this recipe several times in the last couple weeks. It's very good! Very light and delicate, and perfect for avo toast. Today, I inadvertently omitted the butter from the recipe. To my surprise, I liked it better. It was a bit firmer, and the texture was more toasty. And it tasted great.
Made this as soon as I saw this. I used coconut flour, since I'm very sensitive to almond flour. Just used 1 T coconut flour and whole egg. I was very happy with the results!
Thank you! I'm sensitive to almond flour also and it's used in EVERYTHING keto so I usually have to skip or alter the recipes and I suck at that. LOL so thanks again, now I can try this!
I have all the ingredients except the microwave which I don't have only because of limited space. Doubled the recipe into a longer thick ceramic pan in which cooking time was 17 minutes at 350°. To my surprise, after cooling and careful slicing in half, it looked exactly like your bread and tasted so good by itself. I made the grilled cheese sandwiches and it was ever oh so delicious! This is a keeper
Thank you for this, I love the idea and have seen recipes but I don’t have and don’t want a microwave. Really appreciate you passing on your success. Happy New Year from Ireland 🎉
Omgosh! Thank you. It looked so good and I wanted a grill cheese I couldn't wait so I used substitutes of egg white powder and greek yogurt and baked it. Sooo good! I cant wait to do it with your exact ingredients. Thank you. Definitely a game changer. i truly appreciate you guys that do all the work to help us eat healthier.
OMG! This was amazing! i didn't have protein powder so added 1 extra tablespoon of almond flour. Left all the rest the same -- I had a smaller bowl, so it was much thicker after the microwave, I have to say it was SOOOOO good! She really knows her stuff. Thank you!
Tried it today! It was the best! Didnt have sour cream so I used greek yogurt as sub. Did put whole egg so I had to put more almond flour as it became a bit runny. But it turned out really well. Best keto bread I've ever had! Thank you so much!
I use the same recipe now, but only in a round cup. Instant burger buns. I love my burgers and either this recipe or the 90 sec keto bread. Keto lovers, get to have burgers again. ✌️🇨🇦
WOW! Just made this with egg white powder in place of the protein powder, soooo good! I doubled the recipe and used a larger glass dish. Was a bit thicker, so took longer to cook, but this is spot on bread! Thanks so much!!!
@@michellereid6008 it was probably twice as long. I just kept adding 30 seconds at a time until the center was done. Then cooled and sliced as she did, for two grilled cheese sandwiches! Yum!
I made this yesterday and made a wonderful error that has now become an extra recipe in my keto bible - I used vanilla protein powder instead of unflavoured, one of my better mistakes, I must say. It produced a sweet, almost ice cream flavoured bread that I ended up toasting and serving with a few warmed and squishy blueberries, heaven. A sprinkling of cinnamon would make another version to satisfy my sweet tooth. Made the correct recipe this morning, toasted it and had it with just butter. I can honestly say that this will now be my go to bread recipe, the perfect serving size with the second piece waiting to be toasted and enjoyed tomorrow morning, though I admit like many others on here that it was hard not to scoff both slices! Thank you for a great recipe.
I made this yesterday and WOW, it's SO delish! So easy to whip up and After 4 months, I was able to have a real crunchy grilled cheese! Fantastic! Thank you.
Ok so it tastes like bread, looks like bread but does it feel like bread? I just can't eat certain textures..so if it feels like it then I'll try making it lol
Eureka!! I had all but given up on finding a Keto bread recipe that didn't taste like a baking powder omelette (I've been burned one too many times before by people saying "it doesn't taste eggy, I SWEAR!"). I'm SO glad I found you and gave it one more try! This recipe is awesome, unless you add WAY too much salt which I probably can't blame anyone else for considering I eyeballed it and it was probably close to 1/4 tsp ;-) But the NEXT batch was perfect! Thank you for this wonderfulness that allowed me to have a turkey sandwich the way God intended it!!
Having decided to finally give this KETO diet a try about 4 days ago , I luckily found and have been binge watching your EXCELLENT and VERY HELPFUL videos for 3 days now and I just HAD to finally leave a comment to give you a big thank you!! Your vids and instructions are so very helpful to this newbie and I really appreciate you taking the time to do all the experimenting with the recipes. I made a couple of them and they were delicious!! So once again, thank you so much!!! 😘 Now back to the playlist... 😁
I've tried so many breads trying to avoid wheat, so when the Keto Twins mentioned this I thought I could make it. The first attempted was a fail, but this is what I ended up doing. I omitted the protein powder (I only have vanilla flavor), and used a tablespoon of arrowroot starch instead. Since I wouldn't get the "puffing" power from the powder, I beat my whites to soft peaks first before adding to get more air in the batter to have more lift. I omitted the heavy cream and sour cream and used some vinegar for the acidity I was missing out on from the sour cream (I'm thinking this is the component of the sour cream that neutralizes the egg taste). I used a vegan butter. With all that it was still wet enough to have a fluffy bread, and it toasted nicely with a crunch. Thanks for giving me a base! I look forward to converting it for loaves and biscuits. 😊
I tried this bread today. The consistency was not like yours it came out more liquid. I baked it in the oven. Even though it wasn't like yours and it was very moist inside ( I hade to toast it ) it was soooo delicious. Thank you, thank you for this recepie. After trying so many keto breads , this is my favourite and the most tasteful. I can imagine how much better it will be if i make the tehture right next time. Thank you ❤
This is for real an amazing breakthrough. Most 90 second breakds taste eggy - but Annie (of ketofocus) has done the keto world a good turn by figuring out how to make 90 second bread taste good, and be moist. It makes excellent toast and grilled cheese (those are what I've tried so far). I substituted plain yogurt for the heavy cream and sour cream and it works quite well (the slight sour taste of plain yogurt seems to do some of the same work that sour cream does, and adds some creaminess as well). This seriously made my day - so delighted that brilliant keto cooks are inventing new things all the time. A very good time to be keto!
Ive tasted many terrible eggy tasting keto bread this isn’t one of them! This is delicious thank you for sharing ❤also thanks for leaving instructions for baking in the oven as well. ❤
I like to make this with yeast instead of baking powder. After I put it in the microwave dish, I put it in my oven on warm to let it rise, then I put it in the microwave for 90 seconds. It works great that way and I can enjoy that yeasty flavor.
I just made this! The joy of eating bread/toast without the guilt….priceless. My square dish is 6 x 6 so I was not able to slice it down the middle to make 2, but I did cut in half and it tasted like a real sandwich! Thank you! You did all the work so we could enjoy.❤
I made this bread this morning for breakfast. It was so good. I've been gluten free for years and have tried many bread recipies. I toasted it and spread some avacado on it. Sprinkled on some Tahin seasoning. Yummy! Very satisfying. Thanks so much.
Pro Tip for Grilled cheese: Don't spread the butter on the bread. Melt the butter in the pan, then put both slices in the pan and move them around to sop it all up. Apply the cheese then when it starts to soften flip on onto the other. Much easier.
I tried this tonight. It was really good. I used salted butter bcuz that's all I had. Don't use salted butter unless you omit the salt, which I didn't & it ended up kind of salty. This bread toasted up really well, which I loved. I had vanilla flavored protein, but this still turned out really really good. I plan on using this recipe in the future. I recommend.
I had a grilled cheese sandwich at the London, New York hotel and they used Ryebread, although I will use yours and then they added some very well cooked tiny slices of onion. With a little crunch of the onion inside the sandwich it was heaven. So today I just made your bread and I’m going to sauté some onions and have a grilled cheese with you.
Omg you're a genius... I've made a few 90 second bread recipes that were either eggy, spongy or like cardboard but not this 1. I've made it 3 days in a row and 1 didn't turn out as I had no sour cream so used cottage cheese and had no baking powder, it was flat as a pancake but it was actually tasty toasted lol. I've just gone and bought 3 tubs of sour cream and just made 4 in smaller containers so I can slice them and make 2 slices of toast later and still coming in at 1.5 net carbs. I love toast and toasted sandwiches so I knew I'd miss them but I certainly wont now. It's simple and effortless to make, made in 2 minutes and toasts really well and is actually very close to the real deal. I'm not surprised that you have so many views and comments, it's fab and I love it and will be making batches of it at the weekend and freezing them. Thank you, you're a god send 🙂
OK, this is the best 90-second bread I've tried so far, as far as taste goes, not too eggy. The texture is like a quick bread rather than a more elastic bread texture. I might insert some x-gum next time and maybe a tsp of coconut flour just to boost that flavor a bit. I actually like baking powder, so might add another half tsp.
Dear keto friend I tried this recipe with the only protein I had and structurally came just perfect but the smell was terrible but I was expecting that. However I cut and toast it and magically came out perfect and delicious. I’m making the same mix in the oven. Also I already order soy isolated protein as I can not use dairy proteins. ❤
Just made this using the watermelon seed flour and only 1 Tbsp butter. It was sooo good and so crispy after I toasted it. WIll try the same batter for waffles this weekend (+vanilla powder).
I just tried this, and it’s excellent! I didn’t have protein powder, so I used egg white powder. I would say the texture is more like that of a biscuit, but it’s delicious regardless! Thank you!
I haven't tried to do much keto baking or breads in a long time. The ones I tried in the past were very meh. But I have to say, even though I didn't have the protein powder and subbed the almond flour for that, this still came out great. It was the first grilled cheese I had in forever. I need to really multiply this out and make a batch and maybe freeze slices so I can just pull out and toast them as needed. Thanks for the recipe. I think this would be a killer french toast too.
Turned out great. I made a grilled cheese/ham sandwich with it. This is the best recipe for keto bread that I've tried in 6 years. Regular bread always tastes better but this is the best you can get with keto, probably because of the tsp of baking powder. I just subscribed! Thank you!!
This was FANTASTIC! My parchment paper folded a little at the top so my bread even came out with the indent on the top like loaf bread. I'm sharing this with everyone!!! 🍞
Yum! Just made a grilled cheese sandwich and I made homemade soup. I could only eat half the sandwich. It is incredible, but filling. I need a recipe for the whole loaf! I haven't had bread for months, so this was a real hit, and so good! Thank you!
According to Dr. Berg (best keto doctor), the things to be aware of and avoid with microwave cooking is 1) don't stand near it while in use - he recommends being 15-ish ft away when it's cooking. 2) don't look in while it is in operation. I used to think the microwave was "the devil" until I did more research. Seems it's more about how we operate it. Can't wait to try this bread recipe! Thank you for creating and sharing!
I just made it, didn't have protein powder or cream ....I just added 3 tablespoon of Almond powder, a bit of olive oil, a teaspoon of baking powder, a tablespoon of jello melted in hot water, an egg white and salt... delicious ! Oh the best thing it didn't make my blood sugar spike. Thanks
Was craving a big juicy hamburger .... but hate the keto buns available at store. So I followed the recipe and microwaved in a perfectly sized ROUND bowl . . . Wow, am I am impressed!!! The only other modification I made was accidental, I melted the butter. The batter resembled pancake batter, but it poured nicely into the bowl and took exactly 90 seconds and the result was BUN PERFECTION! Now I am thinking about making a bigger batch in a glass meatloaf dish to see if I can get a whole loaf to make sandwiches for the family, that would be amazing. Thanks for this totally awesome recipe.
I just tried this today and it tastes good but I couldn’t get the browning at all. I was using egg white protein powder but everything else was the same. I will be using it. Had a grilled cheese. It was a real sandwich. Thanks.
I love this, and I don't want a whole LOAF. I double the recipe and bake for 17 minutes at 350. I toast it in a cast iron skillet one side then build a beautiful fresh sandwich loaded with ham, cheese deli mustard and micro greens. Just delicious. Entire gluten free family loves it!! THANK YOU FOR THIS! I am going to try adding some herbs as well. I make up several batches of the dry ingredients and then just add the wet...piece of cake!
Thank you. The best keto bread I have ever had. It didn't rise for me that much, but I used double-acting baking powder and halved it, but the baking powder might have been "old." I just made a simple open-faced BLT out of it and felt like I was eating a gourmet snack. xx
Measuring by volume is much less precise than measuring by weight. It depends on how much the flour is packed in the jar. Given the wide availability of cheap kitchen scales, I think it would be more convenient to most people if you included weight measurements in your recipes.
Yes, this is what I've been looking for! I do like the mug muffins in the morning with coffee. But somtines I just want poached egg on toast. Now I can. Thank you for all of your wonderful recipes. You're such a smart lady.
I got my meal plan from the same place as Colby and all I can say its great. 4 months in and 30 pounds lighter with no effort, just cooking what I like to eat!
Thanks so much for the updated recipe! It looks delicious. I went to the thrift shop and found some sandwich keepers, in the exact shape of a sandwich. It made the cutest microwave sandwich slices ever...
Oh my GOODNESS! Someone finally did it and I'm not surprised it was you! Just made this and it is truly a game changer. I'm going to do an oven version next to see if there is a difference. I am hoping to bake a weeks worth at a time if it as good from the fridge as it is fresh baked. One question. I have egg white powder, sour cream powder, HWC powder and butter powder and I'm wondering if a dry mix could be made up to which we just add the water equivalents for each of these powder? Then we could have a daily bread mix that would be quick and easy by just adding water. Thought I might inspire your sciencey mind to experiment. Personally I think it might need tweaking.
UPDATE: I used exact equivalents of powdered ingredients as called for in the recipe, added 3Tablespoons of water to that dry mix and it came out exactly the same. I have a low watt microwave so I set it for 2 minutes instead of 90 seconds. I sifted all the powders and got perfect bread. I get four nice slices from this version compared to three of the original. I have a pan in the oven now to see how it bakes up. So excited about this recipe! I see so many possibilities for sweet or savory options as well as dumplings. The ratio for use if making it in bulk will be 2/3Cup of mixture to 2 or 3 Tablespoons of water depending on the consistency you prefer. 3Tbsp gets a batter consistency like pancake batter (perfect for mini waffle maker) whereas 2 Tbsp gets a doughy batter. Can't thank you enough for this recipe! Keto life changer!. Update 2: Oven version even better!!! Sliced it up and put it back in for a few minutes to toast up, Magnificent! I also substituted half of the almond flour for lupin flour and got a slightly denser bread which I like. In another version, using all almond flour, I substituted flavored protein powder (salted caramel) for unflavored and made the best waffles I have ever had on keto. Perfect texture. I will be making up this dry powder mix in bulk for sure!
@LIVE LOVE KETO excited!! Are links allowed here? Anyone have this written out already with mods? and Dumplings? Heaven!!! I'm pinning everyone on Pinterest that I can.
We will have to submit you to highfalutin low carb test kitchen so Wesley can do a recipe battle...more ideas and exposure even better. #highfalutinlowcarb
My bread looked just like yours! My bread, however, did not make it to the slicing and toasting phase because I couldn't resist. I had it as soon as it came out of the microwave oven. I had no problem separating from the paper, so I placed it in a plate, cut it in cubes and ate it right away. I loved it! It's the best bread, and it tastes like heaven!
I had given up on the 90 second keto bread because I don't really like the almond flour taste. But this recipe is so different and delicious. It's the closest thing to real bread. Thank you so much!
This is a game changer. I am going to try to make a mix with the dry ingredients so all I have to do is add the wet ingredients whenever I want bread. I have to figure out how much of the dry mix I will need for the wet ingredients. Thanks for your hard work.
Tried this today but used pork panko instead of almond flour. I did a patty melt because I eat carnivore & it got so crispy with no added fat, enough in the bread. Had hamburger patties in the fridge & threw it in the skillet when I cooked the bread
OMG! This is like crack. It took restraint to not eat both servings. So good with my morning coffee! Great recipe! I used almond milk as you suggested for a cream substitute, and used monkfruit sweetener. I saved the second serving for tomorrow morning. Can’t wait! Thanks for a great recipe! Ok, so here I am editing a few hours later. I ate the other half with another cup of coffee. 😱
I just made this and it turned out SO good! The only thing was that I didn't have regular protein powder but I had keto vanilla powder. Gave it that extra sweet flavor then I made a grilled cheese sandwich. Thanks for the recipe! ❤
Looks great and I’ll try it this weekend. However, I would love to make a whole loaf at a time. Got any suggestions on how to change up the recipe for a lot of this bread at one time?
X4 batch 8x8 square pan 1 cup almond flour 1/4 cup flavorless protein powder 4 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 4 Tbsp unsalted butter 4 egg whites 1/3 cup sour cream 1/4 cup cream Bake 350 degrees for 15-20 min
this bread truly is excellent! I made it twice now it is exactly how you describe it. You are amazing at making keto recipes they are almost like the real thing
Annie even though this video is 2yrs old, I made it and is by far the easiest and best tasting 90 bread if had. If made 1 bagel out of it and found toasting is best. Thank you ❤
So good. No cheese in the bread itself. I don't have protein powder and am not going to get it so I'll have to play around with other ingredients to get a taste and sensation that I love.
I made this bread in the microwave yesterday. It's 104 here, so I didn't want to turn on the oven. I added one teaspoon each of vital wheat gluten and nutritional yeast. Toasted, sliced, and buttered in the middle. Perfect!
Huh, I was about to make a comment about how microwave recipe videos should be abolished from the planet because they discriminate against people who choose not to own a microwave but then I heard oven instructions. I heard oven instructions? Wow, unexpected! Now I'll save this video to try that! 👍👍👍
Just made it yesterday and it is delicious! Not just compared to other keto bread recipes, but to regular bread as well. Thank you so much for this recipe!
@@tomatoo2003 a bit late replying but just saw this… I left out the egg yolk and added the cream… was good! But if you like the egg taste and the yellow bread just add whole egg and leave out the cream.
I made this bread and let it stay in a baggie in the fridge for 4 days. Decided today to toast it and serve it will fresh minced garlic, oregano, hot pepper flakes, salt, black pepper, good Parmesan cheese and really expensive Greek olive oil with a glass of Merlot. It was crisp & dry like a fine crumb almost stale toast, soaked up my savory oil, it was different but pleasant. Of course so filling. Really love this recipe!
TIP: I have found that cheap eggs (the cheapest the better) have a less egg taste. The more expensive eggs have a stronger egg taste that doesn’t work in most Keto bread and treat recipes. So, use the cheap eggs for your breads and chaffles and use the more expensive ones for your deviled eggs, omelettes etc.
TIP: I read if you just used egg whites and I guess we could get the carton version for that, that the whites will perform the same in bread recipes and kill any eggy taste. Seems right to use no yolks for better flavor in bread Goods. Also if using whole eggs just use the yolks in another meal or quick cook with some a teaspoon of water for hard-boiled eggs sprinkle or add to egg salad. Now I'm hungry.
@@HopeWins777 What gives it that strong eggy taste and smell is the thin membrane that covers the yolk, just remove the entire membrane from the yolks and no more eggy taste/smell when baking... have a nice day.
The reason they don't have "that eggy flavor" is because they aren't as filled with nutritional goodness as the pasture raised eggs where the chickens have been eating bugs as they're meant to! Your CHEAP EGGS have high Omega 6 and inflammatory. Good luck.
Made this today. I really like, it's very good! I had to improvise with what I had and it turned out fine. I used egg white from a carton, sweetened vanilla protein powder (keto friendly) b/c I didn't have unflavored, also, I used plain Greek yogurt which tastes like sour cream, and salted butter. So I omitted the salt and sweetener. I would like to add sweet corn extract to make a corn bread. Not sure how much to use. I have the Amoretti brand. Probably start with 1/8 or 1/4 tsp and go from there 😊 Thank you for a 90 second bread that doesn't taste like 90 second bread 😁
Hi, boomer here. Grew up on food cooked in the oven. So many things taste better to me if they are cooked in the oven instead of the microwave. Thank you for including the oven directions.
I just made this bread yesterday and had a sandwich for the first time in a long time! It was delicious!! Thank you so much for this delicious easy recipe! My only gripe is with your serving calculations. You say this serves 2 with a serving equaling 1 slice. I presume that slice is after you cut the “loaf” that comes out of the microwave. So if I make a sandwich and eat 2 slices I’d effectively double your per-serving calorie counts (carbs, fat, etc). However, even doubling all your macro numbers doesn’t come close to totaling my calculations! I use a calorie tracker that scans bar codes and logs the macro counts. One quarter cup of almond flour alone is 320 calories! Add the other ingredients and I’m up to 688 calories! Sure I could say this serves 2 and make one “slice” of the “loaf” equal 344 calories which is closer to doubling your per-slice macro numbers, but the fact remains that all the ingredients that went in the bowl (688 calories) went into two “slices” that made up my sandwich and therefore I ate 100% of the ingredients. I’m at a loss as to how you’re coming up with numbers so low!!! Help! I want to love this recipe and use it frequently, but I can’t eat half my calories for an entire day in JUST the bread portion of a sandwich! Am I missing something here?
Almond flour varies greatly in calories depending on type… you want to look for partially defatted almond flour so some of the oils have been removed so it is not so calorific - if you have that already, just check the packet - the calories listed might be lower than on your carb tracker’s default. You can also lower the calorie content by subbing plain yogurt for the heavy cream and sour cream - some other people have commented that they have done this successfully. Protein powder is another place where hidden calories can creep in too - worth double checking packets. Your carb tracker might only have listings for the kind of protein powder that is full of sugar. The butter will be responsible for a lot of the calories and I’m not really sure what could be used to replace it as normally you would want to replace it with another oil, but you might replace it with the egg yolk or maybe some more yogurt but that would definitely be an experiment! I got a shock myself making a keto mug cake and putting it into my app and it said the almond flour was over 600 calories for 1/4 cup! On checking my flour it was actually only 317 cal per 100g and I had only put in about 30g so I had to make sure I added it into the app specifically for my brand. This is also why I prefer to weigh things. 😅
God bless you❤️❤️❤️❤️ I haven't had any kind of bread in my home for over 7 months!!!!! Been craving bread!! Chaffles and wraps are so boring now... I needed a change.
Just made the recipe and I was pretty impressed! The one thing I didn't expect, and perhaps it's because I made the grilled cheese, was that it was more like a buttered biscuit than bread. I'm guessing that if both sides of a slice are toasted evenly then the result is more like regular toast.
Just came back to Thank You for this wonderful recipe. I made it this morning, and in the cloud of just waking up, I forgot the 1 tbsp of cream. It still turned out wonderfully. Made a roast beef and mayo sandwich a minute ago, didn't even toast it. It tastes great and is the perfect vehicle for the mayo and meat. I also love the fact I can make this in a flash. Your recipe is excellent for any Keto dieter! Subscribed and Liked :) **edit: For your Readers, I also didn't have the protein isolate or sour cream, so I used egg white powder and plain Greek yogurt. Worked just fine, and there was no eggy taste.
I appreciate all the time spent to perfect this recipe. I just tried it out exactly the way you have done. It turned out exactly like your video, however, for me, it just wasn’t what I hoped for. It wasn’t bad, but the taste was a bit odd. I’m not sure if it was the almond flour or unflavored whey protein I used , or something else? It is also very calorie and fat dense. I am doing Keto, but current on a calorie deficit for weight loss and this is a bit high for my current macros. Once I’m on a maintenance level, I may try this again. 1/4 cup almond flour
1 tbls protein powder 1 TSP baking powder 1/8tsp salt two tablespoons of melted butter and 1 egg white, two TSP sour cream 1 tbls heavy cream, was it 1 TSP keto sweetener? Anywho you're welcome 😊
keto sweetener is optional
I just made it and tasted way tastier than bread! I didn’t have protein powder so substituted with a bit extra almond flour, didn’t have sour cream so substituted with a little milk and tiny squeeze of lemon. It worked perfectly- I put it in the microwave for 2mins
Hi ! I don’t have protein powder either. How much extra almond flour do you add? Thank you 😊
@@mariebayona3146 I put just one tbsp of flour more to replace the protein powder.
@@seriouslyawesomegirls8638 awesome, thank you!!
@@mariebayona3146 i didn’t have protein powder, i used 1 tbsp ground oatmeal (flour)😊
Don't mean to be precise but I don't have protein powder either or sour cream, can you tell me how much milk and how how much lemon juice, thank you
Made this last night, had it just buttered with soup.
That is a great idea. We do alot of camping and that would make things much easier. Thanks for the wonderful idea 😊
Great idea to have all the dry ingredients ready to go , thx
Your channel just popped up. Someone was looking out for me because I really miss my bread. One of your subscribers said she premeasures all dry ingredients. What a time saver. You just gained another subscriber. Going to binge watch all your videos today. Thank you for your time and effort.😊
Ok… so I’ve tried something different. I trialled cooking this in my waffle maker (mine makes square waffles). Took about 1 minute to cook. I tasted one, then chucked the other one in the toaster and toasted it.
O….M….G…. ❤❤❤
The plain one is light and fluffy. The toasted one tastes just like real white bread toast, soft yet toasted. Not crunchy, which is how I like it.
I spread butter over both and then devoured them both, in keto bread and toast heaven 😊
(Note: I used whole egg for this one, for cooking in the waffle maker, but you can chose for yourself) 😊😊😊
THANK YOU KETO FOCUS.
Thank you! Im glad you liked the recipe!! 🤗
@@KetoFocus I really enjoy your bubbly personality in this video and have subscribed. I’m not so much about counting carbs as I am about counting calories. Can you please break down the calories of each ingredient and of the final slice please. (I love the Schmidt 647 Italian bread at 40 calories, so lower than that would be huge.)
I enjoy the following sandwiches:
Peanut Butter & Jelly (PB2 and Polaner light grape jelly);
Egg Salad;
Peppered Country White Gravy poured over bread (like biscuits n gravy)
Heinz Turkey gravy poured over bread (add peas, like chicken ala king;)
Swiss cheese and light Miracle Whip sandwich

Hi ❤ I tried so many times this recipe and loved it... can you tell me how make this in a bigger batch so my ingredients don’t go to waste
@@somenamealisomelastshax811would love to make more portions too.
Add some blueberries and or maple syrup vanilla extract and away we go
@@ECMKAD thanks for posting I now am going to eat blueberry waffles for breakfast in the morning. I was just recipe dreaming until I read yours LOL
@@HopeWins777 I think you're going to love them!
Lol
To my very pleasant surprise, however, it turned out perfect! It even tastes like real homemade bread (and white bread at that)!
To anyone viewing this video with skepticism, I encourage you to try this recipe! You won't regret it.
Wow
Gimme a break. Also if you're pre diabetic you're NOT keto.
@@suprememasteroftheuniverseYou definitely seem like you need SEVERAL breaks. You're not even making any sense. Chile bye!
I used ground sunflower seeds for the protein powder as cheaper and yogurt instead of sour cream. Also only had single cream.Came out perfect and looked like wholemeal because of the sunflower seeds Delicious thanks sooo much. Finally something that tastes and looks like real bread.
Great idea- I don’t have whey protein powder, size wondering if collagen powder would work or egg white powder???
Thank you so much for this amendment! I’m not supposed to eat nuts so it makes keto more challenging.
I can't eat coconut or almond products. Do you think Sunflower seed flour would be a good replacement?
Did it taste eggy?
@@MsAtlantagal yes I use sunflower seed flour in recipes and substitute almond flour 1-to-1 ratio 😊
Thank you for your video. I know it was posted 2 years go but I figure you might need to know it is still a blessing to us gluten free people!
Thank you! I live in a very old house and using the microwave always throws a breaker.
Thank you for sharing this. I finally found a recipe that I believe is worth the try for, I just didn't have the microwave.

OMG! This was amazing! i didn't have protein powder so added 1 extra tablespoon of almond flour. Left all the rest the same -- I had a smaller bowl, so it was much thicker after the microwave, I have to say it was SOOOOO good! She really knows her stuff. Thank you!
Thanks so much because I can't do protein powder, good to know it works without it!
I hate protein powder. Thanks for the work around!
Tried it today! It was the best! Didnt have sour cream so I used greek yogurt as sub. Did put whole egg so I had to put more almond flour as it became a bit runny. But it turned out really well. Best keto bread I've ever had! Thank you so much!

This is a brilliant idea
WOW! Just made this with egg white powder in place of the protein powder, soooo good! I doubled the recipe and used a larger glass dish. Was a bit thicker, so took longer to cook, but this is spot on bread! Thanks so much!!!
I'm glad to hear this worked! Thanks for reporting back
How much longer did it take to cook please 🥰
@@michellereid6008 it was probably twice as long. I just kept adding 30 seconds at a time until the center was done. Then cooled and sliced as she did, for two grilled cheese sandwiches! Yum!
What was the quantity of the egg powder replacing the protein powder ? Also did you use egg white??
Thank you as was searching for something to replace the isolates. Well done!
I quit making 90-second bread because I didn't like it but this recipe is SO much better! Thank you😀
I just made this. It's an absolute slice of heaven. So good to have something that taste bready but also doesn't require much in the way of prep work.
Yes! I’m so glad you liked the recipe ❤️❤️
Fantastic! Thank you.
Wonderful! Im glad you liked the recipe!! 🤗

I trust your palette which is why I love all your recipes, bread is a thing we all miss on keto I think you've cracked it well done!!!!

*It's amazing how a few simple tweaks can make such a difference. Thank you for this fantastic recipe* 🍞
Thank you! I miss yeast bread.
How much yeast?

Add vanilla protien powder in place of unflavored protein powder and then do French toast😊
You are soooo considerate to us, viewers! Thank you!
Turned out great. I made a grilled cheese/ham sandwich with it. This is the best recipe for keto bread that I've tried in 6 years. Regular bread always tastes better but this is the best you can get with keto, probably because of the tsp of baking powder. I just subscribed! Thank you!!

According to Dr. Berg (best keto doctor), the things to be aware of and avoid with microwave cooking is
1) don't stand near it while in use - he recommends being 15-ish ft away when it's cooking.
2) don't look in while it is in operation.
I used to think the microwave was "the devil" until I did more research. Seems it's more about how we operate it.

Very cool idea, will do this for sure!
I read that if you use a bit of vanilla protein powder, the buns taste like Burger King buns.
Did you try the meatloaf size pan?
Did KetoFocus come up with a way to make more servings?
How did the recipe turn out for the family

Hi. May I ask what size baking pan you baked it in? Thank you.
Thank you. The best keto bread I have ever had. It didn't rise for me that much, but I used double-acting baking powder and halved it, but the baking powder might have been "old." I just made a simple open-faced BLT out of it and felt like I was eating a gourmet snack. xx
BLT! I didn’t know I was craving it until I read your comment! Yum!

Please let us know how it goes. I'd love to make this for a few days for hubby and I, not every day. Thanks!
What size/dimension pan did you use? Would an 8x8" work, in your opinion?

Great idea! So make one batch, then measure how much it is. Then keep that measurement in mind when making a big batch of dry.
Read the comments above…someone already did it!!
I am so thankful I found your channel! you have really figured the keto recipes out. thank you for all you do for us.
Don’t use butter to make a grilled cheese sandwich use mayonnaise it makes it crispier and a little sweeter and not oily
I haven’t tried this. I do it next time I make one 😄 Thanks!
I made this bread in the microwave yesterday. It's 104 here, so I didn't want to turn on the oven. I added one teaspoon each of vital wheat gluten and nutritional yeast. Toasted, sliced, and buttered in the middle. Perfect!
I sincerely appreciate the lengths to which you have gone to get it the perfect 90 second keto bread. You're awesome!
Huh, I was about to make a comment about how microwave recipe videos should be abolished from the planet because they discriminate against people who choose not to own a microwave but then I heard oven instructions. I heard oven instructions? Wow, unexpected! Now I'll save this video to try that! 👍👍👍
Hahahaahah thanks for the oven details as I am one of those “microwaves is the devil people” hahahah
Just made it yesterday and it is delicious! Not just compared to other keto bread recipes, but to regular bread as well. Thank you so much for this recipe!
Wonderful ❤️ Im glad you liked the recipe!! 🤗
What could you substitute for the protein powder? Instead of using protein powder, what could you use?
Someone said they used 1/2 tsp guar gum
@@alyb8058 she said in the video that if you'll put a whole egg, omit the whipping cream, wdyt i should do?
@@sibelxo7228 great tip
You're really advising people to get the cheapest eggs that come from chickens that have to live in the most horrible conditions? Are you serious?
The reason they don't have "that eggy flavor" is because they aren't as filled with nutritional goodness as the pasture raised eggs where the chickens have been eating bugs as they're meant to! Your CHEAP EGGS have high Omega 6 and inflammatory. Good luck.
Oh my I just made my first bread 😅 😀 so happy because being on keto without the bread is hard for me. Thank you so much ♥️
Made this today. I really like, it's very good! I had to improvise with what I had and it turned out fine.
I used egg white from a carton, sweetened vanilla protein powder (keto friendly)
b/c I didn't have unflavored, also, I used plain Greek yogurt which tastes like sour cream, and salted butter. So I omitted the salt and sweetener.
I would like to add sweet corn extract to make a corn bread. Not sure how much to use. I have the Amoretti brand. Probably start with 1/8 or 1/4 tsp and go from there 😊
Thank you for a 90 second bread that doesn't taste like 90 second bread 😁
Wonderful! I love that you are testing to see what else you can make with it. 😄
Hi, boomer here. Grew up on food cooked in the oven. So many things taste better to me if they are cooked in the oven instead of the microwave. Thank you for including the oven directions.
I loved that you had a carb counter! Thank you. Love your videos and recipes!!
I’m glad you like that. I thought it would be informative to see where the carbs come from and how much they contribute
Thank you for the recipe. I was wondering the calories per serving or per slice?
28grams (1/4 cup) of Kirkland, Costco, almond flour has 170 calories
Made a grilled cheese sandwich for the second time using this recipe...very good! Thanks!
Subscribed and Liked :)
**edit: For your Readers, I also didn't have the protein isolate or sour cream, so I used egg white powder and plain Greek yogurt. Worked just fine, and there was no eggy taste.
Perfect!!!! Glad to know those substitutions worked. 👍
I would love to see this recipe converted so that it makes a whole loaf of bread.
just make a 10x recipe and put in a loaf tin,, probably don't need 10 t of baking powder try 6t , and bake for around 30-40 min
Love your channel, and appreciate all the work you do!
Just Love your recipes!😋 watching this on my break at work! Can't wait to get home and try it out!😁👍
