Nice cut. I agree with some of the others, the colours of the youngster's hair definitely helped 'highlight' the scissor/comb technique.
I've been shopping at your Amazon site! I rewatch several of your videos, because each time I pick up one more important technique or confidence in my ability. This is the first time watching the fade. But, with the peroxide highlight, at 6:12, I could so easily see how you determine where to cut each time during the scissor over comb in the bulky back part. For some reason the way you said it this time melded in with what I had been taught in other videos and that will be so helpful. I like the red dots as visual cues for where to look for guideline, it enhances the whole experience. Have a great day.
Thank you for that feedback that’s actually really useful for me. I will try and film that back section at a different angle in future as well so I can give a clearer representation of the length I am removing.
Like always, first I owe you a thank you. each tutorial gets better than the previous ones and I see that you include more details and nuances! And on your request about what content you should put here more. well I guess tutorials about how to cut not very common hair types which cutting them seems like a daunting task, like Curly hair, very long or wavy types or even bald ones would be a good suggestion.
I appreciate that! I’m always looking for clients with varying hair types to work on and make videos. I think it makes you more rounded if you are confident with most hair types.
@@theoneminutebarber Yes Sir. Thanks, I'm Looking forward to it but you know confidence comes from preparation and I must practice more and also watch more videos so your tutorials help a lot.
Love it, that turned out awesome!
I want to thank you, Mike. I've been using your method of scissor over comb with my scissor cuts. As an apprentice, I'm trying different things. Even the barbers at my shop have enjoyed watching me use this method. Thank
s again!
Keep up the great work!!! 💈✂️
I love to hear that Erik, keep it going man. They might even start using these techniques too. And the good news is that you’ll find you get good at it pretty quickly. You’ll come to a point where it’s like riding a bike and you won’t even think about it.
Really enjoyed this one. Great cut/method!
Thank you 😊
Thank you! The lines you show for sections and directions of cuts is really useful. Using the red circles as a guide will be my next technique to practice.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you 🙏
I wish I could fing someone in Green Bay, WI that cuts hair like you do. Your a Master Barber, way to go.
Thanks so much Doug 😁
This is a perfect tutorial with simple words
Thanks!
Toney thank you so much for your support 😁😁😁
Hey dude....its so helpful and so simple....thx man for ur all tutorial....
You're welcome! Thank you 😊
personally would love something like the "easy self haircut" videos (where you basically use a 2 guard off of the ridges on the sides and back of the head) but for cutting someone else's hair. Something easy/simple that a novice can do, heavy use of clippers but some simple scissor work too :)
Suprent are sending a clipper out to me and I’m hoping to make a video like that with it.
And i am starting what tapers faced i am have very a hard times to do tapers face. Since i started whash how you tapers faced and i am under started now. And iam will going to use at work. Will heaping me must better.

Basic techniques that you could apply to achieve any style and how to use product.
Love your videos my friend. Amateur barber here from TX.
Thank you and welcome to the channel Texan
Beautiful taper cut, thank you for the detailed instructions. Can you maybe show us how to cut thick hard hair in the future? My kid’s hair stand up (Mohawk naturally) unless he grows longer length so it’s heavy to fall down.
I can, if I get someone with hair like that I’ll definitely cover that topic.
Super! Love watching you barber.
I appreciate that! Thank you 😊
Love all your videos!
Excelentes tus cortes y explicaciones... gracias! Saludos desde Argentina! ✂️👏🙌💙

Hi Michael, beautiful cut & taper! I've been watching your videos (I also purchased your course!) since I started school in sept. of last year (graduating in october) and they've been invaluable to me alongside school to study and practice. Thanks for all the work you put into these and know that they are absolutely helping us striving to get ahead in this profession! Now to be a little selfish: any chance you could make a video on your fading technique/clipper technique in general? In specific, i'm still having trouble with the flick/scoop/whatever you'd like to call it, and don't really feel like I'm consistent with it in my own fades.
Thank you Brandon and I wish you all the best after graduation. I have made a few fade videos, not many as there are some amazing fades on UA-cam and I tend to get lost in the ocean of fade videos out there. But this one probably explains my process best. How to skin fade with foil shaver

Thank you very much for your sharing. You help us a lot. I have confidence to cut my kids hair and they like it.
You are so welcome!
another great informative video, I would like a little advice, I have been using the wahl elite pro clippers ( comes with the premium guards ) for cutting my own & my sons hair since i watched your 1st video & i've been thinking of upgrading to get a better/cleaner cut, what are your thoughts on the corded magic clip with the v9000 motor vs the corded legend? I did look at the cordless senior & haven't been able to find a corded version as I would prefer corded to ensure no loss of power half way through a cut
Get the cordless senior definitely. It is the lion king. You won’t have any issue with power whatsoever. I can almost cut for the whole day in the barber shop on a single charge and it’s constant power
was torn between corded legend & cordless 5 star senior, but i've bit the bullet & ordered senior from wahl from your recommendation, hope the mrs dont kill me lol
Would you zero gap the seniors or leave them stock when they arrive?
just an update, got my 5 star seniors today, cut my adult sons hair, bald fade, so glad I took your advice, they cut smoother, give a better finish & feel more balanced in the hand than my elite pro's & just as much if not more power, I did more or less zero gap them to roughly 0.3-0.5mm, they had at least 1mm + difference between the blades out the box, very happy with them so far. I am looking forward to trying them on myself next wk, only did mine last wk so no need yet lol. Keep up the good work, I look forward to your next video
If your ever in rosemount Scotland and find his barber the chop shop go next door to the duchess
Amazing haircut
Hello I have questions on the scissors over comb technic is the first guidelines up to you or you have a reference?
I would ask the client what length they would like. And then take it from there
Please do haircuts on older gents who want something traditional.
I do have a variety of different cuts on the channel.

Спасибо. Очень нравятся Ваши работы. Super 👍
Thank you 😊
I think it looks fantastic. Can this kind of cut work well for tight curly hair?
Yes it actually looks best on curly hair I think
Thank you Great work
Thank you 😁
I liked to taper this way but I started with a 1 1/2 Oster on the back and sides and saved All the extra work then used a short end fine tooth comb to put the finished touch on the haircut the Oster work tapered the bulk and saved a lot of work the shear over comb did the rest
Would you recommend oster? I’ve never used them.
Que hermosura de trabajo Querido
Es genial
Muchas gracias ☺️
🔥 great video!!
Thanks so much!!
Thank you so much, this really helps! Is this what is named:"Low taper Fade? Greetings from Germany :-)
This could be described that way or I would also call it a classic taper.
So smooth
Thank you 😊
So good ❤
I like how you do it step by step, can i know what are the tools u use
Thank you Mares. Everything I use is linked in the video description
I’d really like you to show us a good ol’ Mullet Cut! And brother I am not kidding. I have tried cutting mullets, all the whilst assuming it would be a walk in the park- Nope! Not an easy cut to master, not if you want the haircut to actually look good. The ones that I’ve given always turn out good, But I always refuse them to come out otherwise.
If I get the chance I want to do a mullet for the channel as I don’t have a mullet video on here. I very rarely get clients asking for a mullet and when it happens I’m often booked up back to back so can’t film.
But if I can film one I definitely will
Nice cut
sir how are you you are really really a master that's real am injoy watching you working since I started learning barbering in the school of barbering know I have 8 months in the school in the beginning I don't ender stand what you doing know I injoy it coz I got it you really a master for me maybe in the future I will work with you hhhhhhh thanks sir for everything You are appreciated by the way am fun of from Morocco
Thank you so much Raven, I’m glad the videos are helpful and you are progressing well with your course work. I wish you all the best.
You always want to use a longer blade first when starting to taper or fade, over your shortage blade .
I started this with the longer guard so I could get some visibility. Do you use longer guards and decrease towards the bottom?
Did you change your mic? Sound is crispy
I did indeed. I am starting a mixed interest podcast soon and invested in some shure SM7B microphones. They are truly a joy to use. The sound quality is the best and I’ve tried a lot of different mics.
Nice good job
Thank you so much 😀
do you have to do the scissor work for the back of the hair?
Not unless it needs.
Nice👍👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!

Can tapers only really work with thick hair like this?
For example the guy in this video ua-cam.com/video/J9cmcNn8BLI/v-deo.html&ab_channel=TheOneMinuteBarber, you can visibly see his scalp in some parts of the hair once you shave it, is this due to it being thin hair? Mine is very similar and I want a taper just dont think it really works
Thank you ❤
❤ awesome
