Gracias muy muy bien explicado ❤te quedó bellísimo el corte. Tan limpio tan magistral 😊 gracias por compartir tu técnica 😊. Me gusta mucho como se ve ese corte de cabello ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I am in the USA and taking Cosmotoloy clsss. I am so glad I found your channel. I am learning so much about a mans cut. They do not really teach that as well as you do. I would absolutely love to come to Scotland next time I visit Ireland and watch your work. Thank your for your tips and how well you explain
I think “bangs” is very regional. Denver Colorado barber here. I was always taught fringe and not the word bangs. Bangs seems a little outdated the way it was described to us. It became a popular term in the 20’s with flapper style and a blunt “bang”. Most barbers use fringe tho. At least in this part of the country. Love your videos and such a great voice! You’ve been a great help :)
Mike this is so amazing, I truly continue to learn so much from you, and increase my barbering knowledge and techniques/ skill sets. Though I’ve accomplished much, it’s so important to me to keep learning. Your videos are always top notch. Thank you for always helping us all become the best barbers we can be. I’ll always be here for it all. Outstanding haircut! Another amazing show!!! ❤️🙏🏻🤗🔥🔥🔥
Which are the best for sharp details/lines/perfect crispy straight lines on the beard, moustache, goatee, cheeks, forehead, sideburns, back neck, front neck,...: Safety razors that use double edge blades, straight razors, or shavettes that use half of a double edge blade? Or are all equally excellent for this goal? Which are the best for bulk shaving (shaving neck, cheeks, chin,...): Safety razors that use double edge blades, straight razors, or shavettes that use half of a double edge blade? Or are all equally excellent for this goal?
@@theoneminutebarber So shavette is really the best for everything, be it for detailling and bulk shaving. That's the reason that most barbers use shavette, be it for detailling and bulk shaving. A few years ago I dumped cartridge razors, and went to traditional wet shaving with a safety razor, but now I decided that I will get into shavette.
Thank you! 😊 and nice to hear from you Michelle. I’ve not had a huge amount of video lately as UA-cam lets us add multi language audio tracks to video now. So have been really busy getting all the old content translated. You can find translations in the settings and select audio track.

🤓 “bangtail” which was a term for a 🐎 horse’s tail that had been cut straight across. The blunt cut across the tail was called “banging” thus Americans used it in their way to describe a horse they way they wanted their face framed. But we can thank Hollywood writers for making it popular and cemented in our pop culture. But stylist and barbers in America also say fringe even if clients say bangs.😅

Hello do you have any other social media accounts I can follow you on? I’m currently in college learning to become a barber but I would really like to do one of your course 😊 x
Hey Leigha I recently came off Instagram as I found it was really hurting my productivity. So I’m pretty much just here now. But if you join the channel as a member there are quite a number of in depth tutorials for different styles on there. It is very cheap to join compared to buying a course and for as long as you are in there you will gain exclusive members first access to all the new content I make.
Great AI translation with a Lil gabs but it's OK thanks anyway oh am fun of you master in the version of English from the beginning of your vlog am barber from Morocco do have any work hhhhhhh
Hairstylist. I call men's fringe a fringe and I call it bangs with women who want something on their forehead, unless it's really wispy. To me, fringe on women is wispy and frilly and bangs are more blunt or covering/framing the forehead
American here.... we do call it bangs I don't know why. But we call fringe anything wispy around the edges fringe. So if someone told me they wanted bangs I'd know they meant hair covering their forehead. If they said fringe I'd think they meant at their neckline or around the ears.
When you started the first side in the front, you didn't take a guide from the back?? Did you just eyeball the same amount you took off in the back and then joined it all? Because when you did the other side you definitely took a guide from the back working toward the front.
That’s a good question. There is short hair in the middle section on top. So for the left and right panels I look for a reference from the middle, in this case I would cut to the shortest length closest to the third knuckle. That said it’s totally ok to cut on instinct. If you are confident that you are cutting the correct length then don’t worry about looking for a guideline.
@@theoneminutebarberI believe they meant when you cut the side at 7:19 from the front. You didn’t have a guide to work with like you did on the left side when you went from back to the front. I was going to ask you the same question. Respectfully, JR North Carolina USA
@@johnreidroberts2838 Ah yes I understand. No there is no guide here other than a best guess. I suppose I am breaking the rules a bit, but I just cut to what I think it should be at times.

I pretty much only use a shavette for all of the above. It is easy to swap out a fresh sharp blade every time, and they are the best for visibility

How do you decide how much to take off when you picked up the hair on the comb at the beginning?
It’s always client lead for me. I consult with them first and then follow my guides through the hair once I have established what they want.
Thanks!
Excelente 👏

Very very interesting. And makes sense.
Never knew that. So that’s what we call cutting the horse’s tail straight across? Or when they braid it?

That is kinda the way I imagined bangs would be used. Because long heavy fringes would bang on the eyebrow.
