When I first started barbering lots of hair was very daunting. Separating the hair as you've shown is always the best way. Another good video thankyou.
Do you use clips or grippers, I tend to use water and the weight of the hair mainly, but you could see towards the end of this one I should have used a gripper
I love the way you explain sectioning and what you're doing at each step. I'm just someone who has been cutting their own hair for the last 10 years. I'm just starting to gain the confidence to start scissor cut the top myself. Your videos are extremely helpful. Thank you!
You are a barber who is sincere in teaching us your knowledge very clear, people like you are very rare on planet earth.. thank you so much, even though I'm not a barber, I enjoy your videos very satisfyingly from how you cut client's hair and the techniques ❤
I’m saving money because I follow your methods. I love the mid-length and 2-block style. Thanks so much. I trim my boys’ hair. I wish you have a book about haircut.
It's too bad I don't know how I could share the cut I did on my oldest. His hair is very similar to this client of yours. I too started with a #3 to remove the majority of the bulk. Then used the parting method from the Reuzel folks. There's just a touch of weight between the area where the clippers stopped & the scissor work began. Not sure if reversing the clippers with a #4 would be the easiest way to smooth this out. Regardless, he loves the cut. Huge difference from what he had.
I don’t have any videos on that unfortunately however I also have a free community where I help novices and learner barbers. There are people of all levels in there and lots of free tutorials you’d be most welcome to join www.skool.com/one-minute-barber-academy/about
I would love to see a video on cutting a short cut on the sides with a parted combover on top if that makes sense. I’m just a mom trying to save money by cutting my husband and 3 boys’ hair at home. My guys don’t style their hair other than combing the top to the side. Thank you!
I would love to see a tutorial on curly/coily hair...I cut my boys' hair-they are mixed and have curly/coily hair...so some tips for shaping and trimming curls would be great!
Im not sure if this is similar hair type. But I speak a bit about recoil in this video How To Scissor Cut Mens Hair | Medium Length Curly Hair | Step by Step ua-cam.com/video/A_AnH9ODoQo/v-deo.html
Hi Peanut, the udemy course is a real beginners course, where i teach all the basics that I believe you need to start barbering. On youtube, I put up different cuts all the time in a very random fashion, it is not organised into a beginner to intermediate order and I tend to avoid a lot of fundamental stuff. Thats probably the main difference
Probably the most useful tutorial I’ve seen. I see this in the shop EVERY DAY.
Thank you 🙏
Im a Cosmetologist in america so i don't do mens cuts often but i really wanna do this cut now!
I hope the info helps.
@@theoneminutebarber it always does. I love your videos.

I just wet the hair down and comb it into place, if it will not stay I may use clips. But I really don't like them.
I also find when I get a client with a mass of, try not to overthink it. I just attack it with gusto. It works for me

Reversing the clipper is a way to potentially remove the bulk, you might not get any purchase with the #4, you might need a #3 or 3 and a half
@@theoneminutebarber right. I seem to remember you used a #2 on one of your self hair-cut videos.
Very helpful
Great tutorial!

Is there a guide you follow for the scissors over comb when you start in the back? I know there is for the first cut in the back.
I can always see my last section in the next one.
What brand/model of comb is the one you’re using? Ta!
There is links to the combs in the video description. The orange is an elevate comb and the big comb is a jack and dean
@@theoneminutebarberfor some reason the link shows a different YS Park comb, not the one in the video
Massi, apologies
Try this link

Any tips for working with deep widows peaks/tall forehead and wavy hair?
I think some kind of style where you are sweeping the fringe to the side and down. Maybe with a bit of lift and texture.
This type comb purchase link pls
Hey the comb link is in the description of this video.
@@theoneminutebarber not this type
Well done, keep it up.

Hello I just wanted to know what is the benefit of purchasing the udemy course vs watching your videos on UA-cam?
Hi Peanut, the udemy course is a real beginners course, where i teach all the basics that I believe you need to start barbering. So if they wear their hair back u don’t cut it combed back?
Yes you can cut it either way
